Located at behala chowrasta this chinese restaurant gave us a wonderful experience. I am a big fan of chinese food and I've become a big fan of this restaurant. Quantity and quality both are good. Value for money. Staffs are very humble. Definitely want to go again.
Excellent food quality . The people who were serving were also polite , i liked the desert more . The clay pot rice was a bliss . Overall a wonderful experience ❤
This is till now the best Chinese eatery in Behala. The price is on a bit expensive side compared to other restaurants here but you won't mind paying a little bit more for such awesome food. From the politeness of the staff and chef to the superior quality of food to the clean washroom and fabulous Bohemian decor, one will fall in love with each and every aspect of the restaurant. This has set the bar high for restaurants in Behala. The food here has authentic taste of Chinese cuisine unlike other restaurants that offer Indo&-Chinese cuisine in the name of authentic Chinese.
Located at Behala Chowrasta, this outlet is made in such a way that it'll grab your attention. Bright lights and fancy hoardings make it quite a stunner, bang on Behala Chowrasta.The entire place is very well decorated with pictures of Buddha hanging all over the walls
We had Dragon Chicken and Pan Fried Chilli Chicken as starters. DragonChicken just had oil bath. It was oily but verry tasty. Pan fried chilli chicken was delicious.
We also had Kung pao chicken and Garlic Chicken hakka noodles and Szechuan Mixed Rice . Kung Pao was not great and too spicy. It wasn't the right preparation. Having had Kung Pao earlier I found that it was totally a different thing.overall good experience.
Must visit for anyone in Behala area. Awesome food, good ambiance, nice staff, what more can one ask for!! Definitely recommended
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. I specially enjoyed the Mixed Pan Fried Noodles and Chicken Wrap Prawn.
I have visited their outlet that is there in Lake Town. But didn't like it much. But I give this place a 5 for the decor, ambience, service and food. I would like to visit this place again.

Visited the place five times till date. Love the quality of Chinese food available here. The taste lingers in the mouth long after one moves out of the restaurant.
The best part of these place is its location easily avail transport at any time of the day. The quality is good. Compairing with the quality the price is a bit higher but it can be meet up by the quantity. As a whole its an average one.

Had lot's of food. Started with chicken wonton soup, chili baby corn, chili mustard fried prawn, clay pot rice, chicken hakka noodles, mixed fried rice, sweet & sour chicken and chicken in oyster sauce, squid schejuan style.
The food was good. Loved the soup and the squid.
The pot rice is especially good and is suggested for people tending towards less spice.
Ambience is pleasant and recommend for family visit.
I would have given straight 5stars except for the fact that they didn't had the one thing that I absolutely love - lamb.

Fine Chinese dining at Behala Chowrasta
Food: The food is awesome here. We ordered a squid salad which turned out to be too good. It made the taste buds rock in an array of wonderful tastes. The main course was lamb pakchoy and mixed noodles. Both the items were good. Finally, we ended with a fried ice cream and that one also didn’t disappoint us. The food quality was extremely good, but the quantity can be slightly increased.
Ambiance: The entire place is very well decorated with pictures of Buddha hanging all over the walls and a light soothing Buddhist music being played on a loop. The restaurant is located on the first floor and has one side with glass wall which looks directly over the street. The lighting is also very innovatively done. The staircase contains a Buddha statue.
Service: The staffs were helpful and courteous. Cash and card both were accepted. When we visited, they didn’t charge any tax (don’t know about the current situation). But their best surprise was the water. We asked for normal water and they placed a crystal clear bottle of water in front of us with a tulsi branch inserted in it!! Don’t know what else they added in the water, but water tasted minty and refreshing. It was a very good surprise and we totally enjoyed it.
Overall: Must visit for anyone in Behala area. Awesome food, good ambiance, nice staff, what more can one ask for!! Definitely recommended. Parking available for 2 wheelers though.
I must say their food is 'oh-so-good'. Try their fish items. It literally melts in your mouth. I have never tried such good quality fish in any other place in recent times. The background slow Chinese music they play is also soothing. 4 out of 5.

Not new to the name Buddha Bites but was new to this outlet in Behala. First of all thumbs up for blessing us with an outlet here in this pocket of the city. The restaurant is located right on D.H Road in Chowrasta. Parking is an issue here and also no valets are available.
The ambience is decent here. Also the seating area is comfortable overlooking the chaotic traffic at the Chowrasta crossroads 😂
Coming to the food a lot of new dishes have been introduced. Also the prices have increased with the new introductions. The quality is top notch. The portion size of the sides are larger here than the mains. The portion of the squid starter which we selected was also a little small for the price. The pot rice, my favourite, as usual tasted good with all the veggies. The fish was also fresh and served hot.
The service is decent. The waiters try to be a little over friendly which I think is a hit or miss.
This is a complete family restaurant and if you have a family who loves Chinese this is the dining room you should check into.

Ambience -- quite soothing , not as plush as Mainland China or Banjarong, but still nice and cosy!
Location --On the Behala chowrasta main road, very convenient by auto or bus--will suggest you not to go there by car as their parking place sucks big time--hardly place for 2-3 cars and is very hard to take out or park
Quality of food --They provide Basa fish -fish and prawn items were fresh--we tried Spicy lemon fish and Pepper prawn-both were delicious!
We tried the Mint lemonade but it was not upto the mark. The main course(fish) came with rice/noodles by default and it was tasty too

I will rate it below Chowman and Mainland China-but still quite good!

Been there a month back for dinner.. It was spacious and the ambience was calm n serene.. Service was prompt.. We ordered for hakka fish n pan fried chilli fish as starters, honestly pan fried chilli fish was not upto the mark n lagging way behind average Chinese restaurants.. Hakka fish was good.. As for main course we ordered five spice chicken n prawn fried rice.. Fried rice was really good but again five spice chicken could have been much better..

Had heard a lot about the place and wanted to try it out when I saw they could deliver to my place via Zomato. Ordered Buddha Veg Feast and the Chef special chicken with garlic. Both items came with an option of veg fried rice or noodles.
Starting from packaging, delivery of food to quality, everything was top notch. Only quirk was that they marked the order as delivered even before it reached me which got me wondering.
The Veg Feast was specially commendable. Came with a mixture of exotic veggies tossed in a light gravy. Unlike most Chinese restaurants there was no cornflour added, which I found a welcome decision. Needless to say, it held its own among carnivorous animals. The Chicken with Garlic was excellent as well. The chicken pieces were incredibly soft and the gravy was light and mildly spiced. While I found the veg fried rice average, the veg noodles was quite good.
Would be nice to see options of plain or sticky rice with the main course in customizations as I felt they would go better with main course items I ordered. Instead of a Veg Rice or Noodles I should be able to opt for Non veg rice or noodles as well. Currently they are only available as add ons.
Overall a nice experience and I hope they keep up the quality.

Finally i ve got some time out to visit this food joint in behala.Though i ve visited harish mukherjee road buddha bites couple of times but i was pleasantly surprised to see the decor of this one..Must say this one has taken Behalas food picture to a different level. Food was also lip smacking. We ordered crispy chilli babycorn korean stick and bean thread soup..cheers to the management.
Ambience and decor of this place is really nice and soothing. Hospitality is also satisfactory.
The quality of food is quite good and satisfies the taste buds but they can surely improve the quantity to go with the price of the items.
The quantity they serve at present doesn't seem to be in sync with the high prices.
Not as such a pocket-friendly place but your taste buds will love the place even if your pocket doesn't.
First of all a very nice location for a restaurant..though marred now by the bustling traffic situation due to impending metro works... Anyways, the buddha statue in ground floor is a very nice one indeed .. the lightings done are ingenuous...nice use of colours,space,ropes and incandescent bulbs..
Well, of the food we ordered, lemon coriander soup was the traditionally thick old fashioned soup..pan fried fish was surprisingly hot for a Chinese item..the mojitos were refreshing.. tofu pieces were cut a bit too small for the liking as the maifu tofu got overloaded with the veggies... kung pao chicken was nice..the food was a bit heavy on the stomach as well..service was very prompt and cordial..so my suggestion would be if you eat well and your family accompanies you, a good chinese evening can be spent here at affordable prices..
We ordered Mongolian fried chicken, chilli garlic fish and egg noodles. Well as per my expectations, they did there job perfectly. Food were super yummy and quantity was really good, though i ordered through zomato. A must visit for Chinese lovers.
Must say that this place sets the bar very high by Behala standards. The entrance is pretty shabby and even manages to make you pukish, thanks to the never ending metro construction shenanigans at Behala coupled with the perennial gutters, open drains and slush on Behala roads, but once you enter, the decor would overpower your sense of disgust. I was surprised to see stuff like squid and duck in the menu book of a Behala restaurant, sure the times are changing. The decor is very impressive. Coming to food we ordered Chicken bean thread soup, Mongolian fried chicken, dragon chicken and egg - garlic fried rice. Each dish surpassed our expectations, although the Mongolian fried chicken and the dragon chicken did not taste very different. For dessert after much contemplation we ordered an ice-cream which turned great. I will probably never go here again, at least till the metro is constructed (if ever) but shall order food from here again by all means!

We were a gang of 6 people visiting the restaurant last week. The first impression of the interior is 'serene' in one word. It is great place for Thai food in affordable price. We ordered veg and non-veg both and were satisfied with the food. Waiting time is reasonable. The mocktails are the high points of the evening!
For people living in Behala a good enough joint selling Chinese. Although the dishes are nothing extraordinary. Went for an office party. The server was fun loving!!
It's a good competitor to the nearby restaurants.Positive part-ambience is nice specially the typical background music.For some reason I like the music.The normal water they serve has a nice flavour of lemon and mint.They give you a bottle of sanitizer and I like the fact.
They have good starters.One needs to be a little choosy while ordering food here since not all the dishes taste equally good.Chicken in bean sauce is a big no for me.Though I like the lamb fried rice,noodles and the not so spicy chicken dishes.If you like the blunt soupy taste then you will like the food and if you prefer the Indianized chinese and thai then it's not the right place.
I feel it's a little overpriced.
Had been there two times. Good food, nice service & a decent atmosphere and cleanliness well maintained. Recommended surely for Chinese lovers. I am totally satisfied.

Okay! So this place is very close to my house..at Behala Chowrasta crossing, D.H.Road.
This place has got pretty good starters. We ordered:
¤ Chicken Bean Thread Soup: This one is a clear soup having shredded pieces of chicken and very thin thread like noodles. Light and good in taste.
¤ Hot and Sour Fried Wanton Soup: This one is a thick reddish looking soup..spicy with a tinge of sweetness. It had a fried wanton in the middle stuffed with chicken. Good one!
¤ Chilli Mustard Fish: This one I simply loved! Mustard and fish, I must say is an amazing combo! 6 pieces in a plate, 200 bucks.
¤ Dragon Chicken: This was a sweet and spicy dish containing shredded chicken with the flavour of ground cashew nuts.
Now for the main course we asked the waiter who served us to suggest us their special dishes. He told us to try General Tao Chicken. So we ordered that along with Sanghai Rice. This General Tao Chicken comes with Hakka Noodles/Rice. We chose noodles. Now I personally found this dish very pale in taste. They said its their special dish, but seriously both the chicken and the noodles just weren't up to the mark. Sanghai rice was still slightly better..yet not good enough. So negative point there.
Now, we ordered for fresh lime soda(sweet and salty mixed). They gave us an extremely salty one which we could barely drink! Then we had to tell the waiter to change the drink. Negative points there again.
Ambience and all is fine. But I feel the staff aren't well trained and not professional. They didn't seem to have proper knowledge of the menu and most of them looked lost by their expressions. Also when one enters a restaurant, he/she expects to be greeted. There was no greeting when we entered. We just had to walk by and look for a seat for ourselves. And then one waiter comes and as we were 4, we were made to get up and sit in another place.
So basically, well awareness about the menu and improvement in customer service is suggested for the staff..coz since we had pretty good starters, I guess main course would also be good enough if we were not misguided by the waiter.
Had great time on the special occasion of CHRISTMAS it was well decorated.....😘😘 really good food (except schezwan fish which was excessively boiled otherwise food was tasty)along with that good ambience to dine out both with frndz and family ....well managemnt system....easy to locate.....will try nxt time specially for FRIED ICECREAM WITH CHOCOLATE SAUCE as dessert😁😁
Good food...good ambience...d only issue was the staff took a lot of time to serve food ..not a bad place...loved the prawn starters ..dnt miss dat....

I liked the Ambience of this place .. though garihat's branch Ambience is not so as good as this..
Food : the best dish I had tried here that was "Grilled Chicken in Lemon Sauce"... Chicken soup was also a good one..Chicken rice was good. Garlic chicken was also good. Claypot chicken was not upto the mark... Chicken steamed wangton was also disappointed dish.
All over this place is good for any treat or Hangout
Had a wonderful experience yesterday at Buddha Bites..though the price tags a bit high,but the quality of food they deliver are just too good.Being a gravy chowmin freak we had mixed gravy chowmin along with Garlic Chicken Hot Basil and the last but not least dish fried ice cream...is the cherry on the top.A must recommend restaurant for all chinese and mongolian food lovers.

Over the last 6 months, Behala's food scene is creating a storm. I mean seriously, I'm damn excited!
Buddha bites is a renowned chain in South Calcutta, and when it opened its outlet in Behala, I JUST HAD TO VISIT IT with my bestfriend.
Located at Behala Chowrasta, this outlet is made in such a way that it'll grab your attention. Bright lights and fancy hoardings make it quite a stunner, bang on Behala Chowrasta.
I visited Buddha Bites on the 31st of Oct, since the Diwali hangover was very very prominent and I just needed to chill over some good snacks. Since we were not hungry enough, we just stuck to starters, and I was really keen on trying the fried ice cream.
Talking about food, let's begin.
• Pan fried fish - I've visited their Gariahat outlet 3 times, and this winner has to be on my ordered list. It's a sheer delight to my taste buds. There are 6 flat pieces of fish which is cooked to perfection. Spicy and tangy, this is the perfect start one can have to a magnificent dinner. Strongly recommended.
• Chilli mustard chicken - I was a bit apprehensive at first thinking what if the mustard was too strong and it burned my nose? 🤔 However my friend was adamant on ordering this as she is a "kasundi" freak. So yeah, but this dish surprised me. It was soooooo good. 8 pieces of chicken. There was complete balance in the flavours, and the mustard was not overpowering the taste. Again, recommended.
• Fried ice cream - okay. I was disappointed. Like, I was expecting 2 scoops, maybe? After all, it's simple vanilla ice cream! Or maybe a bigger scoop? I mean, I'm paying 150 for this item, I need some worth to my money's value! Even the chocolate sauce was not given generously. The crispy coating was good, and overall it tasted good, but the quantity is a problem here. You guys can totally give it a miss.

In conclusion I would like to say that Buddha bites is doing a great job with the food and service. Really happy with the staff. The interior is really jazzy and is perfect for a family dinner. Do give this place a try!

Nice place. Visited some time back. The decor of the place specially the entrance is so tranquil and serene that it gives a calming and relaxing effect to the senses. Cool place to dine in with friends and family but on that day we took the meal as a takeaway. We had to wait for sometime for the parcels to arrive. Coming to food for starters we selected Mongolian Fried Chicken and Garlic Chicken Hot Basil...and l found both the dishes perfect for the taste buds.... Followed by the main course of Chicken Hakka Noodles with Kung Pao Chicken complimenting it. They were also delicious and l would surely visit this place again soon.
Good food and equally great ambience. Service Quality is also commendable. Have specially loved their 'Brocolli and Green Peas Fried rRce'.... One of the best places to have Chinese food in this locality..
This was my first visit to this branch of Buddha bites.have been to the Gariahat branch earlier.it is comparatively more spacious and can cater to more no of people.for starters we ordered chilly mustard fish which won our hearts absolutely.it had a unique flavour which makes it a must try.the main course comprising of chicken Hakka noodles,fried rice and spicy hoisin chicken were also good,nothing extraordinary though.lastly for dessert we tried fried icecream,which again was really good.on the whole,it was a good experience.hope to visit this place again.
The ambiance was very cosy. The food was not spicy but it was delicious. Service was too good. We ordered veg fried rice and Manchurian paneer. Paneer was very fresh and soft.
Came here with my group on Ekadashi with really high hopes, and guess what? not disappointed at all! Didn't get the "Meal In a Bowl" though but Mix rice turned out to be a better choice than the noodles! general Tao's chicken was preferred over the fish in plum which was a bit too sweet and less spicy! overall happy and satisfied with the taste and quantity! Burrrrrrp! :)
Today I ordered food from Buddha Bites for a small party of our 10 friends who are meeting almost after 25 years. Food was not only fabulous but also mouth-watering, quantity was sufficient and adequate. Every item had its unique signature of taste and proved to be a really authentic Chinese cuisine. We are really happy to have such a beautiful chain of Chinese restaurant in Kolkata. All my friends enjoyed the food a lot.

Located 5 min away from my house.. the new outlet of BB franchise in behala chowrasta.. quite nice decorations inside.. we went there at evening of Maha Nabami.. ordered chicken Manchow soup & Mongolian fried chicken in starter.. and mixed fried rice & General Tao's chicken in main course & fried ice cream in dessert.. oh! what the taste of that.. just marvelous.. really best dine I ever had..
I went to Buddha bites yesterday for the 1st time..the ambiance was great..food was jst awesum..nonetheless the behaviour of the staffs were very generous..presence of decency..we had chicken wrap in prawn as starter,then in d main course we had Lamb in Tofu spicy rice wine along wid fried rice..the lamb prep was just yummmmmmmy...(i'm ac2ually drooling now)...& last bt not d least..the FRIED ICE CREAM..which blew my mind away...jst suppppper yummmmyyy...
Beautifully decked up and lit, the liking for this place started from the interaction with the security who spent enough time to have my car parked in to perfection.
The food is just as good, as are the people attending to the customers.
I was however disappointed with the fact that there was no water served to me because I came in late (it was served about the time when I was into the main course). Towels were also missing from the table till they were specifically asked for. Kindly take note of the same, in future.
Coming back to the food, we had a wide array ranging right from butter fried squids to pork and prawns to duck. And each of the items were deliciously cooked. Quantity is also something that is plus in the bargain.
Must visit for anyone around Behala wanting a good Chinese meal.

This place is nice and service is also good. Food was average , not so good. My mom & I went dis place . We ordered Egg garlic rice and one preparation of Duck. In this place it is an unique option where Duck, lamb, pork is available.
Been there thrice now..absolutely love everything about this place starting from the food, ambience and courteousness!! Would strongly recommend to everyone who are always in hunt for a good Chinese restaurant in the city..just one feedback - they can add some more options to the menu like dimsums ..otherwise this place is a must visit and they always have something on offer which is brilliant!

It stands on DH Road overlooking the Chowrasta Xing.
Housed on the 1st floor of a new appartment; it boasts of a splendid decor epitomizing Lord Buddha. You are ushered into the staircase by a statue ever blissful meditating Buddha.
The hospitality and service of the staffs are excellent. One of the most cordial and sober group of staffs will ease things out for you.
Comming to food- quality and quantity are excellent. Had an amazing dineout with Hot n Sour Chicken Soup, Thai Fried Chicken, Pan Fried Mixed Noodles and a chiken side dis (probably something called as Tou Fou Chicken).

Without a doubt this place is among the best in behala... the ambience is soothing with light music being played at the background. I personally liked the fact that the price listed includes everything. So you don't have to worry about the tax money. The quantity of the food being served is also generous. The only thing that confused me a bit was menu regarding the main course.. I didnt like the idea of giving rice or noodle with the main course.. except this it was quite a good experience dining here..

Just before starting the review I would like to mention that the place is awesome.
Now coming to the point when offers are going on in any concern it is seen that the quality of the goods thus provided is not at all upto the mark. But it this case this was not atall right. Super quality of food.
Now to be true I was a bit late and thus my brother had to order food because the restaurant was closing. Thus one of the waiters helped him out. Now to be true I myself couldn't have placed such a good order.
Each and every item was served to the best they can and not for a second we had to realise that the shop was extending its closing time because of us. Not a single look of disrespect from any of the waiters which actually we got from the waiter of Royal Biriyani,Park Circus in a similar case.
Now abt the food to be the lamb was just simply awesome. Like the last best lamb I had was in The Wall now the lamb they prepared here was of the charts. After that was the fish don't know the name but what a quality of the fish. I am still like feeling the essence. Rest all the food was very much good. Now there was the mustard fish what a quality was it.
Now a bit of words for the management. See I have now visited 3 of your branches. Of these three Behala & Panditiya road are just awesome. But guyz pls see at your Bhowanipore branch it was just disgusting. For a restaurant at this level you are wasting your image. Please do check that.
We have been to Buddha Bites Bhawanipore earlier, and having enjoyed the experience there, we decided to visit the Behala edition as well. It is very conveniently
located, at Behala Chowrasta on Diamond Harbour Road so no hassles in reaching it. We went looking for lunch there, and after going through the menu, we decided to
have Thai Fried Chicken as starters. And in main course, we went for Kung Pao Chicken along with complementary chicken Fried Rice. The ambiance was pleasant enough,
with soothing Chinese music playing in the background. The food was thoroughly enjoyable. Not only was good to taste, it was also in adequate quantities. More than
adequate I would rather say. And all for Rs.600/- only. So, it was quite reasonable in my opinion. It was a good experience, and hence recommending it to our friends.

For some reason this place was in my bucket list for a long time inspire of it being 2kms away from my place. Anyway, finally made it to there. Ordered Korean chicken, five sice chicken (which came with complimentary noodles) and fried ice cream. Now I am not a big fan of Chinese but I must say all were quite good in taste. Ambience was also nice though a group of really loud people had made it their mission to not let anyone else enjoy their dinner.Service was prompt and staffs were polite. Price on menu card was tax inclusive :) Will definitely recommend it for a casual dinner.
Kung pao chicken is probably the best u can have there... the ambience is amazing...serivice being as good as it can be... fried ice cteam is a must try there. Its an overall good experience... new hub for the foodie.
Iv been to the gariahat outlet many a times before.. loving the fact that budha bites is now so near to my place.
Coming to the ambience.. its a great getaway.. u can see the whole of diamond harbour road from the first floor.. the place is quite large, can accommodate a lot of people.. decorations are pleasent and the staff is friendly..
About the food.
Great chinese food here.. taste is great me being a chinese quisine fnatic love the food there. Intried chicken hakka noodless and hot garlic chiken.. the chicken was quite tender.. chowmein was great...
Budha bite is light on the wallet and a treat on ur taste buds..

Had visited the gariahat branch earlier, hence expected the same quality of food. Food was good as expected but the hospitality was something unexpected. We ordered the pan fried fish, chicken fried rice, 2 other chicken dishes and fresh lime sodas. The bill amounted to around Rs.950.
Reasonable, conviniently located, and serves good food.

The eatery is located in the heart of behala @ behala chowrasta main crossing. The ambience reflects the theme of Chinese culture. The restaurant is celebrating their anniversary right now and hence they are offering a side dish free with another sides of any choice veg or non veg. Heard of this restaurant from a long time..but got an opportunity to taste its food after it opened a branch in Behala. First coming to the interior decor...its beautiful. One will feel like it's a kind of Buddhist monastery. A soothing Buddhist song was being played in the back. The ambience was really good! Now coming to the service which is again recommendable. The staffs suggested us well and also served us with the food within no time instead of the sunday rush. Now coming to the main point which is the food. We ordered chicken in bean thread soup, dragon chicken, chilli mustard chicken, chicken hakka noodles, pan fried noodles mix, mandarin fish. The soup I felt was nothing extraordinary otherwise the other dishes tasted brilliant and are all suggestible. Chilli mustard chicken is quite different and really delicious. In that mandarin fish, the fish was really fresh and tasted awesome. Along with the mandarin fish we got the hakka noodles as complimentary. The quantity was also not bad. The rates are quite pocket friendly and inclusive of taxes.
So it's a great place for Chinese lovers and those who have a low budget but wants to have good and quality food. Highly recommended.
One more chinese restaurant in Behala...it is located in Chowrasta signal.....a good place for dinner time with family....food is good and reasonable.... quantity is also good... you will find combo food in this place like chicken hot and sour along with non veg rice/noodles....overall its a nice place to visit !!
One of the best places I have eaten in at recent times. Has a great decor, true to its name. Pictures of Buddha and the Chinese theme was very appealing.
We had a squid starter and it was a great one, totally playing havoc with the taste buds. A non veg combo of lamb pakchoy and noodles, followed by fried ice cream.
The best part? If u ask for normal water you get this awsum tulsi sprig infused water!
The staff is very well behaved and takes care of the patrons as of own and yes there was no tax levied!

We ordered a home delivery of spicy chicken 5 and Prawn fried rice. Reasonable price, adequate amount and good quality. The delivery was also within 1 hour in lunch time.

About the food , quite hot , children cant have it . To compare the taste with that of chung wah , i ordered roasted pork and mixed chow , well still I believe no one yet can beat chung wah . Ordered roasted lamb gravy item , it was excellent . Reg food I will give 3.5 .

The busiest part of behala . Now , the extreme south part of the city is not devoid of anything any more . But , still it's an overindulgence if Chinese or is it ? We were a group of 4 to try out the latest venture in this part of the city , who have started their journey in hopes of becoming a famous choice in Behala .
° Location :- The restaurant is located at Behala chowrasta . You will have to come to " players corner " , the lane which houses the abode of our favourite Saurav Ganguly . Then you just have to walk past the lane and in 4 to 5 steps you will come across this eatery which is located in the left side and in the second floor of a newly constructed building .
° Ambience & Service ( 4 / 5 ) :- Absolutely spot on .This is exactly what a classic dining restaurant should be . Beautifully arranged tables and sofas . Got a very classic look to it with a view of the chowrasta from the glasses . The servers are dressed and well behaved . They will minutely cater to your every needs. I was overwhelmed by their excellent service and their professionalism . Although ,there was not much of a crowd since they have just newly opened . The staff here doesn't seem to be novice at all .

1. Salt & Pepper chicken ( 3 / 5 ) :- 8 pieces of small boneless chicken served with pepper on the top . It is slight crispy but soft in the inside . Very good to taste and perfect for a starter . Not that spicy but the only problem is that the chicken pieces are too small .
2. Pan Fried Fish ( 4 / 5 ) :- With the same price I.e 200 of that of salt and pepper chicken but this time there are 6 medium sized basa fillets . This was really well made , the spiciness of the dish was spot on. Not new in any Chinese joint and many of them make it properly and Buddha bites does their job too . Very much recommended .

1. Mixed fried rice ( 3.5 / 5 ) :- A rather conventional one . And they didnot add anything special . The rice had generous amount of chicken , prawn and egg with decent flavor in the rice . They donot add pork which is a pity . But the only problem I felt was with the quantity , it could do with a little more .
2 . Ho Fan Rice mixed ( 4.5 / 5 ) :- This is the rice noodles with a really unique name and trust me it was absolutely fabulous .i just could not have enough of it . The rice noodles were silky , the prawns were surprisingly huge and well cooked . The flavor was spot on . And moreover the quantity was huge . We were very very happy with the dish and will recommend this to everyone . You gotta have this .
3. Seafood Claypot ( 3.5 / 5 ):- We were really looking forward to it and it turned out to be good. This is fish , squid and prawns cooked inside a broth of veggies and fish stalk . The sauce had a very distinct flavor unlike anything you will taste . The fish and the squid will simply melt in your mouth . It could have easily got a 4 , but we could hardly find any prawns so that we a downer . But , still I will recommend this .
4. Whole steamed chicken with garlic ( 4.5 / 5 ) :- This along with the rice noodles were the highlight of our lunch . This dish which is priced at 400 can be easily shared by 4 people . This is a whole chicken with skin steamed with garlic , the sauce has a tanginess in it . In my opinion ,this should be their star dish although this is one of their signature items . The chicken pieces are so well cooked they will literally melt in your mouth . The bones are there but it won't be an issue because the pieces are tasty enough to blow you . You have to try this dish . Share it with your family and friends and everyone will love it .

So as you can see from the ratings above i had a pretty decent experience there .I was not expecting much since many of the Chinese franchises are more of a franchise these days rather than a place to have really good food . But if you get the items right I really feel it would be a nice outing .

I am going to review this Behala Chowrashta outlet of Buddha Bites based on my Home Delivery experience..so can't talk about the place and its ambience
The guy who picked up my call was very cordial and even suggestive. The delivery was also smooth and in time.
I ordered the following...
Mongolian Fried Chicken - Dry eight pieces of fried Chicken
Squid Spicy Peking Style - The dish tastes good but quantity was quite less.
Chicken Buddha Feast - They give steamed chicken with a portion of Chicken rice (which is bit less than their normal portion)
Whole Steam Chicken with Garlic - To make it spicy I opted for Hot Garlic sauce and this was awesome.
Mix Fried Rice - The rice was neatly prepared.
Overall a good experience. Will look forward to visiting the place..

Chilli Garlic Pepper Chicken - This was bit spicy but good in taste.
Honey Chilli Crispy Lamb - The lamb was juicy and still crispy even though home delivered.

Chicken Wrap Prawns - This was just awesome in taste. Must try.
Went for dinner with family on Saturday evening at this restaurant.We had ordered for Fish in chilli mustard sauce as starter.In main course we had Chicken with pineapple,& Hong Kong Fish, and in side dish it was rice with roast lamb.
With the main course rice or noodle of choice was offered.
All the dished were mild on the palate and strong on flavour.Service was fast and good.
Though the sitting arrangements in the six coved table layout is awkward as it is difficult for the waiters to serve to the person seating in the extreme corner as one has to continuously take the plate in hand and assist the waiters, so that they can reach in case of silver service.
The menu book was well designed as all the food groups being priced individually rather that individual menu items , which made it look clutter free.

One of the best places. Had their veg combo, rice with four season and schewzuan noodles with paneer. Both were totally yum and not that expensive too. The decor was simple with a Chinese vibe with Buddha paintings. Seems like that's the trend with Chinese places. Would go back for the food for sure.
Very accessible and convenient location. Nice ambience. Neat and clean. Normally not very crowded also. Service quality is also good.
Decent food. The Chinese main course items are worth trying. Starter platter size could be increased. Indian dishes are a tad bit costly compared to similar restaurants.

A really good Chinese Restaurant in behala chowrasta area. Good food... Good ambiance. Easy connectivity, being on main road. But, having no parking area of it's own... have to park car by side of main road.

After a long time here comes a proper Chinese restaurant in behala. Try BBQ chicken and squid butter garlic in starters...they are just awesome.
They serve a variety of delicious dishes I would recommend to taste Buddha special chow for a exquisite experience.
