Afza is a restaurant in the Park Circus area, famous for its biryani. Yes, after I tasted their biryani I honestly couldn't eat from any other place for months... It was that good! Excellent food in respect to both quality and quantity. They even have really good tandoori chicken. Must try! Just the seating area could get better.
Their mutton nalli kabab is a Must try. Biryani is very good as well. A hidden gem in my opinion
Fantastic service provided. Super fresh and juicy meat cooked slowly. Biriyani has an authentic auroma alongside with kebabs which are tender and perfectly cooked.
During Durga Puja the quality of many established restaurant used to drop due to huge customer flow. But this restaurant somehow has maintained its quality during festive season.

I have been visiting this place since last 5 years and I am still a fan of their Biryani. Located beside Lady Queen of the mission school behind Krazy kebab this restaurant spoils you with a lot of North Indian delicacies. The food quantity and quality is good but off late they have increased the price. Neverless, the food quality is not compromised.
Must try: Mutton biriyani, kachi biriyani, garlic naan, chicken dopiyaza, Nalli kebab.

The whole Park Circus area is studded with restaurants serving delectable biriyani. Afza is definitely a contender in that list.
Although Afza specilizes in Mughlai cuisine they also serve good quality Chinese delicacies.
I have also tried ordering from the restaurant. The packing is really done with care and attention.
Coming to the food, I tried the Chicken Tandoori and Mutton Biriyani.
The Tandoori was very nicely prepared. It was charred on the outside yet very juicy inside.
Both quality and quantity of the biriyani is impressive. The piece of mutton was soft and juicy. Quantity was enough for one.
I would like to go back to try out the other items.
Their signature dish, the mutton Nalli kabab is one of its kind. Juicy and succulent, the tender mutton simply melts in your mouth!! It is a must have item!! Their biriyani is also very good and surprisingly, though limited in terms of options, so is their chinese menu!!

This is the first place which comes to my mind when it is Biryani. The mouth watering mutton biryani and the shahi tukda is the must try. I would recommend this place to every mughlai cuisine lovers.
Just one word, SUPERB. The food items are wonderful, each items are cooked thoroughly, something which is missed in many mughlai restaurants. Even their Chinese items are lip smacking. Carry on with the good work.
Another hidden gem. The biriyani here is out of the world. The Chinese dishes are okayish but the north Indian dishes are the best. Staff is also friendly.

Had lunch from this place in office yesterday(a colleague picked up food from there) and it was simply put.. Delicious!!
The mutton Biriyani had succulent and tender pieces of mutton. The best one I had in a long time. And the long grains of beautifully cooked rice with a mandatory piece of aloo was really good. Although a little oily but I loved it. They give extra potato pieces for Rs. 10/piece.
Hyderabadi Shahi Halim was basically a thick soup texture with lentils and mutton blended. I am skeptical about halim as I find it very rich and too much of rich smells.. but this had just the flavour according to my taste. I definitely recommend to try this.
P.S. They give you spoons and tissue paper sachets for take away which is very thoughtful of them.

After reading review on Newspaper and in zomato I was dying to try Nalli and Halim at Afza.. After a big R&D I finally managed to find its Location.and I visited that place during Ramdan 2017
I ordered :
1. Nalli Kebab (5/5) : Soft and Succulent ,excellent in taste.. 2pcs of Paya at around Rs 500 is bit overpriced but the tatse of it makes u forget the Pocket pinch..
2. Mutton Gilafi Kebab (5/5) : Though it might look like seekh kebab But its completely different.. I personally don't prefer seekh kebeb much, as I find it dry and to much dry spices in it suppresses the flavour of mutton... But Gilafi is juicy, and chunks of onion, tomato, coriander leaves adding to it.
3. Mutton Halim n Butter Nan (4.5/5) : Best Halim in town I have tried, perfect balance of dal and mutton , creamy in texture...
Chicha's Halim at Hyderabad is most rich and tasty Halim I ate till date. But Afza's halim is healthier version...
We had mutton biriyani, chicken chap, firni, shahi tukda, chicken reshmi butter masala & lachcha parathas. The parathas were well oiled & fried. The chicken was tender, succulent, well cooked & very very tasty. The biriyani was delicious. The potato was so soft, mutton so tenderly cooked & the overall effect left us wanting for more. The shahi tukda was choco-malai, half of it milky & the other half chocolatey. It was a memorable experience. Definitely recommended.

Best place to have mughlai cuisine..the kebabs and tandoor items are mouth watering and succulent with ample meat pieces... Biryani is also very tasty,with the perfectly seasoned meat,soft alu and silky long grained rice,aroma not too overpowering which is a plus point,quantity is more than enough for one person,this time for a change we had Chinese which was equally good...pocket pinch is a little high for students..but a good place to give treats..always clean and empty and service is quick and the waiters are very courteous...
P.S- Try their kebabs(all are very good) and chicken in hot garlic sauce requires special mention.

Nice food for the price offered, good place for authentic food, be it indian or chinese. We ordered online for chinese and it was delivered in 45 mnts . Massive quantity served for the portions ordered. Clear soup was perfect blend with veggies and flavor. Side dish of chilli fish was sumptous. Great experience. Thanks Guys
Calm ambience. Staff polite and courteous. Chicken Tandoori is extraordinarily good. Biryani and Chicken side dishes are pretty good. Surprisingly the Chinese dishes are delicious too.
I always have been a fan of Afza's Biryani it is one of the best in the city. Packed with flavors and arousing aroma, it is the right amount of absolutely everything. Let oil. Also the Tandoori Chicken and the Roasted Chicken are yummm. The roast the entire chicken in huge grills. Other food items are, Handi Chicken, Dhabha Chicken, Tandoori Prawn and Butter Fried Prawns. It's amazing food, good service, ambiance it's fine. It is a great place to go with family or a group of friends. I lunch and dine a lot on this place.
A must go to on everyone's list.

Rating it 4 Since I only had Shahi Tukra here. They serve the best Shahi Tukra in the town. Have not tried anything else so can't comment on other items.

Went with friends for lunch.. The restaurant was empty only initially..
We ordered crispy babycorn. It came to us within 5-7 mins only..
The tastes was very good.. I honestly did not expect it to be soo good. It was soo crisp.. and perfect blend of sauce..
Then in main course we order a mutton biryani, 1 schezwan rice, one veg Manchurian and a mixed Raita.. All the foods was soo yumm!!
The service is very good and apt.. the staffs are also soo nice and polite..
Overall a very good place.. I will surely recommend it to everyone... and they have quiet a big menu list.. :)

There may be many restaurants and eateries in and around town, but, hardly any where you can go out with family. Afza, is one of those endangered species where you can spend time with your family and expect it to go perfectly well without any nuisances.
Prior to couple of years, an uncle of mine visited us from Toronto and hence we decided to have our lunch outside ultimately visiting Afza.
Located in the realm of Park Circus Area, just opposite to the Quest Mall, is this one storey building. The reception is at ground floor and we made ourselves seated in the first floor. It is well maintained, cutely decorated area but there seems to be a little crunch in place, owing to the fact that there are more than one department or enclosure at the first floor. Thus, it is recommended to have a prior booking before visiting it.
Our whole family including many guests visited the place take the head count to 25. On visiting, we were accompanied upstairs to the table and provided with a glass of water. Since, we made prior booking, the order for the lunch was made before hand too, and thus, there were no sign of menu card. After all of us gathered the place, they started to serve us with food one by one. The staff were very well behaved and the head of the cook and/or staff was in constant scrutiny while we were being served. That's was something not commonly experienced everywhere.
Being it a more than three year old occasion, I am struggling to remember the dishes I have tried but will talk about the selective appetite I have tried. After being seated for few minutes, we were served chicken lollipop which tasted awesome. It was followed a chutney made of coriander leaves and it really tasted awesome. Then the meal comprised of many other items while I remember trying butter naan with paneer, also trying some chicken gravy and concluding with an ice cream.
The taste of the food was just okay - the chicken lollipop as well as butter naan tasted well enough but the ice cream felt really pathetic. Overall, the meal didn't justify the price we shelled out for the lunch.
A visit not much recommended.
In its initial days Afza's preparations were good. I haven't been to this placed, always parceled my meal. The one item which I always used to parcel was tandoori chicken. They prepared it really well. The meat was not undercooked, it was soft and the masala marination was generous too. It wasn't a dry tandoori it was juicy.
I stopped ordering as later on the quality decreased.
I have been to this place lots of time, its in the same lane where krazy kebab used to be.
Tandoori chicken and chicken butter masala are one of my favorites here. Butter naan, lacha paratha, chicken reshmi butter masala are some of the items I have tried and liked. Even the Chinese is pretty good. Never disappointed. Keep up the good work.
We went there for our freind birthday party, interiors are simple and sober. Decency is there as family peoples where more. Talking about the food it was good, but kebabs was awesome especially mutton nally kabeb, biryani was also good. All over a good experience.
Nice budget restaurant with curteous staff.... would highly recommend the mutton halim prepared specially during the month of Ramadan...The Haryali Murgh is worth mentioning as well....

Not so good or fantastic ambiance, but the restaurant simply excels when it comes to Kebabs. Located opposite to Quest Mall, this is one place where people literally come over from far across to have the juicy kebabs. Be it the Lamb Kebabs, the chicken or the specialty Raan one, each and every one of them are succulent, mouthwatering and delicious.
In case you're around Quest Mall in Park Circus, Afza is a must try for all kebab-lovers. Been a regular of the joint since its inception and it has gone through a major makeover sometime back for the better, both ambience & menu wise.
Adraki Panjay (juicy lamb ribs cooked to perfection with the right balance of spices) is a must try and my personal favourite. Afza Special Fish Tikka finds a notable mention as well.
The Chinese menu is pretty good and lives up to the expectations much like its Mughlai/Tandoori counterpart.
Afza is a must try if you are looking for sumptuous kebabs! It is sure to lure your taste-buds... be its delectable adraki panje (melt in the mouth lamb chops) or the house special Raan-e Afza (a smoky charred leg of mutton cooked to perfection). And its Kesar Firni is the best I have had in a very long time in Kolkata!

I visted this place on a weekend, and tried Tandoori chicken and Lahori seena kabab and loved both the items they taste great.
The best thing I liked about this place was that the plates that they served the food on was hot when placed on our table, gives the instant understanding they were made prior to be served for food to kill instant germs that might be there!!

Have tried this place a couple of items when I was in kolkata. Specially loved the biryani they serve. The long grained rice, soft piece of meat and the aroma just used to make my day. Kebabs were pretty good too. Didnt try the gravy items and breads so cant comment. Mostly did take away so cant comment on the ambience either.
This restaurant is just next to my aunt's place, so we came here for lunch, as I was craving biryani. Just another pocket friendly eating joint, food is just okay. Ambience is average.
Excellent food and simple ambience. The food is so damn good you can chuck the ambience out of your mind. Superb mutton biryani and not forget good veg food too. Prompt service and decent seatings with homely set up in an air conditioned space. There's nothing to complain at super cool rates and good service . At top favourite of quick hunger fix remedy! This is located on the lane opposite Zeeshan park circus. They have ample sitting area both ac and non ac. Went there with my friend few months ago to try of the biriyani here. The biriyani was good enough but I didn't like there kababs much as I found it to me a bit dry.

Had gone there on a friends recommendation..to search for beef kebabs! Sadly it was over by the time we reached..had to settle for stew n roti and some biriyani!
In recent times, they serve the best biryani. Simple and fast, the service is satisfactory. The good thing is, on request they do serve extra potato or a mutton piece of the biryani. Their chicken roast is a delight and so is the rann.

I never knew this place existed. I got introduced to it by my friend and believe me it's a no fuss restaurant. Great food and excellent quality. A very homely ambiance. It almost feels like you are eating in your own dining room. I have become a fan of their Nalli Kebabs which just melts down in your mouth. The meat is so tender and succulent. The staff is courteous.

Its my first visit... Heard this name from my friend and took a chance for a biriyani.
Ordered for kachhi ghost biriyani and just surprised.
The taste is amazing and the most interesting part it wont let your hand sticky or oily after you wash hand. There are 2 pieces of mutton in plate that's sufficient for me and those pieces are deliciously marinated. It has little different taste. I think they cook it in a little different way.but I like the biriyani.
Now the ambience is not bad but no wow factor is there. But I can visit there for the biriyani.
Also they do home delivery all over Kolkata as well.

I had roasted chicken here served with mayonese, chicken lababdar , chicken masala ,and tandoori chicken all tasted well. Paneer items are also tasty here unlike any other resturant in park circus.

This restaurant was located near perk circus 2- 3 Minite walking distance from from quest mall.
Which is very easy to find and very good location.
For others food is just for being but for foodies like me, we live eat and for this exploring new places.
First thing the ambiance of the place was awesome,and will give you some really good vibes. Their ambience are decorated have a floral wall paper with fresh flower on every window.
Their services are so fast and their service staff are very polite and respectful.

Afza is a newly opened multicuisine restaurant located in the prime location of Park Circus, just opposite Quest mall. It has a fine dining area on the first floor named Afza and a cafe area on the second floor named Wat Else. The menu is the same in both the floors but the ambience is a bit different. The walls have a beautiful floral wallpaper with fresh flowers on every windowsill which give a floral and soothing scent in the environment.
Now coming to the food, we had a tandoori whole bhetki, tandoori pomfret, bhetki ka murg, dakshini fish tikka, kalmi kebab, murg malai kebab, murgh reshmi butter masala, chicken tikka masala, dal makhani, butter naan, laccha paratha, pudina paratha and roti. All the food items were fresh and marinated very nicely. The taste was also extraordinarily good.

Along side Biriani, Murg chatpta is good... Only I found Sahi tukra is bit off... However ovarall exp is satisfactory.. Please check pics for reference...

Very conveniently located and the food is reasonably good. I have seen others say that the place is pocket friendly, I personally find the place a tad on the expensive side. Kebabs are quite good and so are the chicken or mutton dishes. Tandoori pomfret, kulcha and hari mirch gosht are definitely recommended. Good part is the have a very nominal wait time and the service is quite satisfactory
