They are also maintaing good safety measures post lockdown after reopening in this Pandemic Situation and likewise they have restricted the entry to a limitation as well.

The food in this place is as eye-catching as the name is. You'll love the food, the staffs are very kind and the ambience is good as well.
Some fried rice cravings and I went for a delivery of a Veg Schezwan fried rice from this place! Had also ordered a Veg Manchurian along with it, but since they were out of stock, had to remove this from my cart!
Food presentation was just excellent – they used lots of chopped veggies as well as optimum quantum of sauces! Nice to see that they prepared the same to instructions and refrained from using chilies as requested! Overall, the palate tasted perfect!
Quantity was also huge - 1 plate is more than enough for 1 person. Food quality and packing was decent - pocket pinch is pretty acceptable!
Overall, a perfect experience - looking forward to more orders!
I visited this place 3 times. This is a really good place to hang out with friends. This place has too pocket friendly menu also. I ordered Crispy Chicken (8 out of 10), Veg Chowmin (8.5 out of 10), Prawn Hakka Chowmin (8.5 out of 10). Here you can get alchohol bottle (750ml or 375ml, whatever you want) with a very low price.
And the behaviour of the staffs are very good. Visit there if you want to spend a good time ☺
Golden Phoenix may not be rightly accessible for normal outsiders who comes to China Town to experience great Chinese delicacies. But it sure lives up to its name. The food is good yet not costly. Very simple looking outdoor and nice & quaint indoor, nothing outlandish like some Chinese restaurants I have seen in Kolkata. The Chicken in Oyster sauce is great one to have here. Recommended.
Nice place, but the quality is deteriorating day by day. Place was good a couple of years ago but my recent experience hasn't been up to the mark compared to earlier times.
The staff listened and respond with care, especially in the time when we were 'not normal'. They provided us with the space and time we needed to blabber and deride each other and reminicing our childhood. Had an awesome time, thanks to you guys🍻🍻. Food was great, especially the starters. Considering the ambience and privacy the crew provided, pricey alcohol was compensated. Had a great time there. Would definitely come again and recommend others. Cheers 👍👍

One Of the Important Aspect Beside Food is how you attend Your Customer ,Does not matter it is Huge Crowdy day or just Relax day for Golden Phoenix. I Must from the Suggestion to the way they Serve food is excellent . But most Important today Golden Phoenix saved my day or say my entire Durga Puja , I left my purse while leaving the restaurant but with help of my friend and presence of Mind of the Golden Phoenix waiter I got my money bag back.
Food was Great no question on that , But Must try is Malaysian Chiken . Keep Up the Good Work Golden Phoenix .
If you want to get some booze and snack than what you are waiting for? Go for it:. I love the way staffs were handling there customers. Simply amazing. I suggest you to visit during IPL season. I swear you will enjoy each and every moment there
Good food at reasonable price. Quality of food is also good. Awesome place for small office or friendly party. Ambience is good but not awesome. Behavior of the staff is good. Separate family place available on 1st floor. Parking place available.
They have a full bar available. They have a separate section for family where they do not serve alcohol. The place is in Tangra, so do not expect anything other than Chinese which is better than most places in Calcutta. Just do not expect anything fancy.

This place is located just at the starting of China town. A nice clean place for eat and drink. We a group of four people at first ordered a pint of old monk. Yes, you get a complete bottle which is actually quite cheap. Only the glitch here is that no complimentary chips or chana was provided with it and you have to pay extra bucks to avail them.
Now coming to food
Starter:-
•Crispy chili baby corn(half)
•French fries(full)
Both the dishes were really really good and the quantity was justifying. French fries were provided in bulk to us and corn was awesome in taste.
Main course:-
•chicken chowmein:- this could have been better
because this dish was extremely oily. Nevertheless quantity and other stuff like veggies and chicken were innumerable in amount.
•chicken fried rice:- a very nicely cooked preparation. Very tasty much better than chowmein.
•Malaysian chicken:- this was the best among all. Half plate consists of 10 pieces. It was neither too spicy nor too sweet. Chicken pieces were very well coated. If you are looking for something non spicy definitely try this.
Lastly, the staffs here a very well behaved and cordial besides they do have live screening of sports.
Second Visit:-
We chose it again since its pocket friendly. This time we managed to get a place at the family section which is in upstairs. Its a nice wholesome place, with nice decor and sofa seats. The staffs greeted us pretty well.
We began with a 180ml of oldmonk along with french fries and dragon chicken.
French fires were awesome, crisp and fantastic in taste. The quantity was more than enough. A definite positive bargain in terms of cost to quantity ratio.
Dragon chicken well this one was the showstealer. Full plate comes in 15 pieces. Not so spicy as it seems, a fine dish to woo you. Strongly recommending this one.
Next came our main couse it had 3 chicken fried rice and a full plate of kung pao chicken.
Kung pao chicken also contains 15 justified sizes of chicken pieces. Its a bit sweet and sour in taste. Made with tomato ketchup mainly.
Chicken fried rice well one plate is more than enough for 2 people. Plenty of chicken and veggies and wonderful in taste.
Overall second visit was as good as the first one. Looking forward for our 3d visit.

So this restuarant is located close to the entrance gate of Hot Wok village facing EM Byepass . They have pretty decent interiors ,and also if you want to have good food at a reasonable price in china town ,this place is the place you should be .
What I Ordered -
1. FRIED CHICKEN WANTONS : The wants were quite crispy and the stuffing in the inside was tasty.
2. CHICKEN HOT & SOUR SOUP : The sweet and the spicy flavour of this soup will bring you back to this place. A good item .
3.CHICKEN RICE NOODLES : The quality of the noodles with big pieces of chicken makes the dish taste more good .
4.DRY CHILLI CHICKEN : The chicken pieces are quite big and this item was very tasty. Do try
5.CHILLI GARLIC PEPPER CHICKEN : If you are garlic and a pepper lover ,then then dish is for you . A good one.

7.DRUMS OF HEAVEN : We ordered this in our starters and all I could say it was a perfect start .

9.KUNG PAO CHICKEN : This is one of the star items of this place, besides chicken ,this dish is filled with cashew nuts making it all the more tasty
10.MIXED FRIED RICE : The prawn, eggs , and chicken used in fried rice was quite impressing. Overall a good item to try
11.MIXED HAKKA CHOWMEIN : Being a chinese restuarant , this place makes amazing hakka chow.
12.PANEER PAKORA : If you are a vegetarian , do not miss out on their paneer pakora, it tastes good
13.PEPPER BABY CORN : If you are baby corn addict ,do try this , the smell of fresh pepper fried with baby corn is impressive.
14.PRAWN CHIPS : A basic start to my meal at this place, nothing much to say .
15.SZECHWAN CHICKEN : I had the szechwan chicken with mixed hakka chow and it was a perfect blend
Overall the quality of food is good ,but the service is a bit slow. Also the lighting of the place should improve.
I have been a frequent visitor of this place along with my friends. For tha last few years we have been visiting here. Staffs are good and since I have been frequent visitor I know few of them.
Special mention dishes which I like are Chicken rice noodles, Kung pao chicken, chilly garlic chicken and chilly paneer. The quality and quantity is pretty decent.
It has two floors, ground floor for stags and first floor for families and couples. Hope you guys will like the place as well.
This place serves good chinese food(tangra style) and dirt cheap alcohol. though the ambiance is nothing great, but the it is good for a group of friends and also the service is very fast.

Food is really good, not much of decor , average . Starters a bit too oily but all the fish dishes were really good . The fish items don't smell at all and are really delicious . It was Ashtami night and all the renowned eateries of China Town were overcrowded. We were assessing the available options when we came across this place and luckily found a table for ourselves without having to wait.
The seating arrangement is not very cozy and and the place doesn't have a very neat & tidy appearance.
However, we were quite satisfied with the food quality which although wasn't something exquisite but decent enough with respect to the pricing.
Overall we were content with both the appetizers and the main course, and left the place satisfied.
I have been there twice with my family. One of a good restaurent of Tangra (China Town). Everyone should try fish starters because they are soooo tasty.

Its not that expensive the bar section also allows you to smoke thats also a good point plus the waiters over ther are way to friendly n nice.
Yet to visit this place.. Ordered cripsy fried prawn through Swiggy.. A bit costly.. Any way loved their food.. Wish to visit d place soon..

An eatery situated in China town is a bar come restaurant like those numerous outlets in this area. The prices of alcohol is amazingly cheap over here, thus when you have a crunch do opt for this. The family room is on the 1st floor and is spacious and neatly decorated.
As for food the menu offered a huge variety of starters, main dishes and sides.
We settled for some snacks namely chilly mushroom and crispy chicken and chilli garlic fish. All the dishes were oily and a bit too fried.
All in all a good option for month ends and friendly addas over some tit-bits.

There are days when one realises how poor and unimportant he is. One of those days is the 31st of December. So on that day while the world decided to go places and do things we decided to hit this joint in the evening and enjoy the emptiness- both in our lives and the restaurant.
The food here is pretty decent but don't expect a Big Boss like palate or the ambience. Never the less one receives a nice TV to catch up with the sports. The waiters are more "dada" and less of a "waiter" type.
If one wants to taste Tangra in a budget and considers food more important than ambience this is the place to be. And as always bon appetite....
Food is good within reasonable price specially prawn and chicken items. Rice and noodles are also very tasty. Environment is also satisfactory. But one major disadvantage is its location which is nearby the exit gate of China town.
This is located at the china town tangra exit gate towards bypass.. The ambience is good in the gents section unlike other chaotic bars in China town...

Well if you are short on money and need a hearty meal with a little alcohol this is a place to be. Me and my friends always visit this place. The liquor here is cheap and they give you the complete bottle(not many places that do that). I love the baby corn manchurian as my starter. I being a non alcoholic cannot suggest the drinks to order here but the chicken noodles is satisfactory if not more. Also a drunk friend broke a glass here but the management did not charge us anything. The mood is a little down with no music or anything also you are not allowed to smoke inside which is a bummer if you are a smoker(unlike me). Overall the experience was good and it was pocket friendly.
This was a joint that has never disappointed me starting from the quality, quantity of the food and moreover the unconditional service that they provided me throughout the last 4 years. They have served drinks even after the restaurant was closed at around 12.15!! Kept the parking slot open till I drove out. You can drop in to check but I would suggest the owner to increase the stock of variety of beers.

First of all I have visited this restaurant for the first time and it did surprise me with the quantity and quality of food as well as service at their end which was actually pretty good in terms , as I had come with my friends and after eating a sufficient meal of rice ,chow ,dragon chicken and also not to forget some soft drinks and juices the bill came to just 950 bucks .
My verdict - Isn't that a good deal for a group of four in an authentic resto ?

Neat and clean restaurant with authentic Chinese dishes including appetizers, starters, main course and beverages.. You will get alcohol served here as well.. Must try dishes includes fried pork wontons, pork noodles and chilli pork.. You can try their authentic chicken soup as an appetizer.. Food quality and quantity is awesome, no rough feedback there..
The restaurant is located in a bit odd place. A bit shabby as well as simple. I must say the food on the other hand is surprisingly tasty specially the fish items. You should try the "crispy fried fish". Overall cheaper than rest of the China Town with same or better food quality.

We tried Mixed Hakka noodles....It cost around 220 rupees....taste was good and the portion size was sufficient for 2 people if you can add any side item....no extra service charge added in bill....the service was pretty quick.

This is my 5th visit to golden phoenix. I always prefer mixed hakka noodles with hot and sour chicken. This time we went in a group and order 1 fish item. Didn't like the preparation. It has no taste. We had golden fried prawn and chicken drums of heaven. Prawn was really very delicious. Overall mixed experience.

This is it -- the Indo-Chinese joy you've been looking for. A taste of real Kolkata. Absolutely my kind of restaurant -- off the beaten path, not fussy, and all about the food. We had sweet corn soup, veg clear soup, chili garlic paneer, chili baby corn, veg delight, veg szechuan fried rice, and a couple of cocktails. All were superb -- bursting with fresh flavor. Quantity and quality far exceeded my expectations. Drinks (beer, wine, liquor) were great as well. Service was stellar. Downstairs dining room/bar has been closed b/c of COVID, so you have to go through the garage and up the stairs to the family dining area. A/C was good without being too cold. Very much looking forward to returning when we're back in Kolkata visiting family.
