This restaurant is the heaven of Chinese cuisines.The food is delightful and the staff is congenial.The decor of the restaurant is alleviating and the staff is cordial.I want to visit this restaurant again and I will recommend everybody to visit this restaurant.
Location: This is a 30 seater restaurant around 50 metres opposite to Triangular Park, Rashbehari Avenue.
Ambience: This is very pleasant. We were the only guests at the time we went. So it was very calm.
Staff: They were courteous. The service was on time.
Food: The food we had tasted pretty good. The portion size is decent. Overall it was good value for money.
First thingto mention here about this restaurant is that they serve one of the best chinese food at a reasonale price and the food quality and quantity is just amazing!
we have visited this place a couple of times and we order the manchow soup everytime! it is really nice! also, they serve a chef's special pot rice which is a gravy based rice and is amazing! apart from these we tried schezwan fried rice, stir fried malaysian noodles(chicken), chicken hakka noodles, singapore chilli chicken and dragon chicken. This place was originally called Buddha Bites, but along with a new name, the entire decor has been remodeled and the menu has been given a complete new spin.
When we visited the Great Wok of China, there was some ongoing lamb festival, and we decided to take a lamb dish from the specials.
The Shanghai lamb appetizer had a great flavour, it would have been perfect if the meat was a little less overcooked.
The Wonton soup was simple, delicious and soulful. The wontons dunked in the clear broth were juicy and to perfect taste.
Coming to the main course, the Pan Fried Fish Sizzler is something I would recommend, as the fish is completely safe yet refreshing from regular stuff.
It's more than sufficient for one person.
The Ho Fan noodles were a first time try for me, they're basically a flat rice noodle dish, and is suited to taste for people who enjoy the Chinese cuisine.
Lastly, we ended with the fried ice-cream. It was something new, with a coating on your regular Vanilla ice cream.
The place's biggest disadvantage though, is that it is severely understaffed. Hardly one or two waiters are around, and they have to be repeatedly told to fill your glasses, provide cutlery or even clear the table.
But a cozy and affordable place for a small meal.
This place was there on my wishlist for a long long time and finally it happened this Sunday!
It's a nice cosy place serving authentic Chinese food. The ambience is calm and quite, well lit area with Chinese statues and sculptures in the walls along with balloons at the top.
Coming straight to food we ordered Roast Chilli Pork which was excellent in taste, soft succulent pieces of pork mixed with pork fat and belly served with assorted onions, veggies etc. In main course we ordered Stir Fried Malaysian Noodles and Chilli Garlic Basil Fish. The noodles was authentic Pad Thai stuff mixed with loads of chicken and egg. It was slightly spicy and sourish in taste. The preparation of fish was very unique and went perfectly with the spicy noodles. The fish pieces were extremely soft and fresh and was melting once put inside the mouth.
Service was good and prompt, staffs suggested us with what to order and it went well.

Great Wok of China serves delicious food at an affordable rate. The ambience and the services are also pretty good. I tried a few items and among them my favorite was the Honey mustard chicken and chilli garlic noodles. I visited this place a month back and still haven't tasted anything like that. I would recommend this place to everyone and would surely visit soon! ❤️

For starters, We ordered Dragon Chicken and Chilli Babycorn. The Dragon Chicken was basically sherdded chicken and it was lipsmacking. It had the correct spices. I strongly recommend this. Even the Chilli Babycorn was delicious.
We ordered Wonton Soup. It was too good. We ordered the Wok bowl as well. It was tasty. Coming to the main course, We ordered Chicken Malayasian Noodles, Schezwan Noodles, Hunan Fish and Devil's Chicken. I highly recommend the Malaysian Noodles. It was so so so good. Even the schezwan noodle was yum. Hunan Fish was spicy but delicious. But the Devil's chicken was okayish.

This place was in my wishlist for a very long time and suddenly today without any plan I ended up being here. Regarding ambience it's a small calm and quite place. Staffs are too courteous and well mannered even though we visited in rush hours being soshti today. They were quite attentive and didn't have to call once. Coming to food the main part. It was awesome. After a long long time had great Chinese food. Starting from startes to desert. Pan fried chilli fish and chicken wraped prawn are clear favourites. Great Wok of China (pun on Great Wall of China) is a cozy restaurant specialising in Chinese and South East Asian cuisines, located at Panditiya Road, Dover Terrace near City Style Mall, in the end corner of a lane.
The inside is rather small with limited seating capacity, good for large groups of friends and families for celebrating birthdays or special occasions and some quality time with a loved one.
Having a serene setting and a tranquil ambiance, decor is minimal and simplistic with pastel floral wallpapered walls, Chinese designs on cornice and partition and delicate statues in lit niches.

Service is extremely swift and praiseworthy. Staff though laidback and casual are polite and well-behaved.
Prices are pretty decent as well. They offer Zomato Gold (except on the Sizzlers and Chef Special Wok Bowls and certain other items; best to inquire before placing the order) so at INR 546 (discounted from the actual bill of INR 750) as foodies we'd both enjoyed a pleasant hearty lunch, more so as it had been a belated birthday treat for my friend and he'd gone gaga over the dishes.
To sum up, those looking for decent traditional Chinese dishes at nominal prices should definitely visit Great Wok of China, particularly if one is fond of Chinese/Asian cuisine. :):)

A cosy family-dining Chinese restaurant located at a minute's walking distance from City Style, Gariahat. I went in for lunch last week and had a pleasant experience.
For starters we ordered SLICED CHICKEN IN HOLY BASIL SAUCE and PANFRIED CHILLI FISH. I loved both the starters. The fish was very soft and the sauce in the Chicken starter had a good balance of sweet, spicy, tangy. RECOMMENDING BOTH.
Next we tried CHICKEN FRIED RICE with HUNAN FISH and FIVE SPICE CHICKEN. The Chicken was prepared in a unique way, like small open dumplings and sauce was equally good, complimented the rice perfectly. The Fish preparation, however, was nothing extraordinary.
We ended the meal with Fried Ice Cream. The fried coat had a lovely flavor of coconut and I loved it. RECOMMENDED!
The prices are on the higher side though, considering the quantity of the dishes.
The staff is friendly and service is prompt.
Overall it was lovely lunch experience. Would like to visit again.

This cute little place is tucked in the by lanes of Dover Lane. As the name suggests this is a restaurant specialising in Chinese Cuisine. Chinese is the most favourite and preferred cuisine by the Kolkatans, hence we keep on finding out new places and this place makes a name for itself by the quality they have maintained.

Sliced Chicken in Holy Basil Sauce and Pan Fried Chilli Fish was served as starter, the sliced chicken in holy basil sauce was just perfect with light flavour, the Pan Fried Chilli Fish kept me drooling for long.
In the mains we had Chilli Garlic Noodles, Fried rice, Five Spice Chicken and Hunan Fish.

All of them were extremely appetising. I being a noodle person more, the chilli garlic noodle was my favourite along with the hunan fish. The noodle was not spicy, the garlicky flavour wasn't overpowering, rather it was perfect. The Hunan Fish was neatly done in hunan sauce. The fried rice tasted decent, not too oily and the quantity was perfect for two. The Five Spice Chicken made a mark with its exotic flavour of five spices, five spice is very common in Chinese cuisine.
The dessert was the showstopper, Fried Ice Cream and surely one of the best I tasted; big round scoop of vanilla ice cream, deep fried with coconut coating and topped with chocolate sauce. I feel hungry again for this now.
South Kolkatans do visit this place if you haven't; am sure this place is going to impress with their quality, quantity and good service.

Hence we decided to celebrate someone's birthday on 17th August 🎉
So yesterday it was a heavy rainy day yet that couldn't ruin anything at all! Maybe the location is written as Ballygunge but it's much convenient from southern Avenue too. Not too far from Lake mall or Priya cinema hall.
The name on the nameboard is written a quite small font. From outside it's very beautiful. And, their 1st anniversary is going on so the wall is decorated with balloons and all. Very pretty.
Staffs are warm and courteous. As we had Zomato gold we availed such a lot of discount.
We tried as starters -
1. Pork in Hot Bean sauce - DELICIOUS! Best amongst all the dishes we tried. Pork pieces were too scrumptious. Perfect blending of sweet, sour and pungent. I will try this dish some other day too!
2. Chili plum wings - Recommended dish here. Most people try this. It was yum too, but not as good as the Pork. Too much sweet and I personally liked it by mixing with chili vinegar. And one little inconvenience - they have bones. I mean obviously those are wings. Pieces were a little chewy and lovable. Loved it.
As mains -
3. Thai fried rice (mix) - Good. Full of shrimp, egg, chicken and all veggies. Quantity was more than sufficient. But we have tried better fried rice than this elsewhere. Though it wasn't bad, but not too much remarkable either.
4. Pork soya chili - Too much in quantity that it got us like "Woah!🥺" A good side dish. Pork pieces comes in big size and dipped in Gravy. But should be more soft . It was a little chewy we felt. Otherwise good.
Service is very good. They served the starters, hot, within 10-15 minutes. And the main course too. And the only thing I didn't like that there was a fly wandering over our starter 😒
As it's their 1st anniversary, they also gifted us a voucher of worth 200. Loveable place. Will visit soon.

Was looking for a place to grab a quick lunch with my boyfriend before I dropped in to work, so I decided to finally try out this one. Plus, it's a Zomato Gold restaurant!
We ordered a Hot and Sour soup divided for two. It was pretty good except that it had chunky pieces of green chilly which was very hot.
For main course, we ordered General Tao's Chicken and Moon Fan fried rice. The rice was very light and flavourful, just how I like it. The chicken was well cooked and had a nice soy-based gravy. The combination really hit home.
This place is already fairly priced and your Gold Membership will be the cherry on top.

Was there last Sunday to celebrate my birthday with my sister and boyfriend!! The staffs are polite. They played the 'happy birthday' music in the time of cutting the cake❤️ Now the main part, the food was amazing and comparatively cheap. We tried schezewan lamb, devil's chicken and mixed rice(pork, chicken and lamb) and beverages-lady in red, out of the blue and kiwi with orange spritzer!!

This place is located near gariahat triangular park.i heard this place famous for it's pork spare ribs and other pork dishes.The outlet has been running a mocktail festival too which I enjoyed alot.The ribs was served in spicy sauce.

It was phenomenal, I loved it!!! The juicy momos, stuffed with chicken is a must try for all the foodies out there.
The Singapore noodles were also good so was the chicken and lamb we ordered along with it.

Ordered two combo meals via zomato. Packing was done right. One was a hakka noodles and General Taos chicken and another one was with five spice chicken. The taste of the five spice chicken was okay. Really liked the General Taos chicken. Would like to try more of their dishes.

Remember Buddha Bites? Well the Great Wok of China is the new name for that old school authentic chinese and thai cusine, with superb interior ambience and more variety of food. We took the signature dishes- Spicy Plum Wings, The Roasted Pork Sizzler and Fried Ice Cream to end with. Do try the sizzler, it was awesome, the pork they use is fresh, juicy, tender, and the rice along with infused with the gravy and having that smoky grilled smell, topped it off really well. 💯 recommended. Would happily go again.

So I have visited this wished place . It is very close to Citystyle Gariahat.
This place is nice decorated with cute show pieces and cozy ambience.
I have ordered
---->Roasted Pork Sizzler: Roasted porks with sauted veggies tossed in spicy sauce served with rice/noodles as per customer's choice.
-----> Teriyarki Prawn Sizzler : Consists of 6 big prawns and veggies and rice/noodles and very spicy .
Both of the dishes were tasted delicious .

Price is a bit higher but food quality and services are absolutely fine enough so the visit was overall worthy to me .
P.S : Only Pork Sizzler was captured. We took a video of prawn sizzler but here we can't attaching it so only food picture is here.
Situated at a very good place beside the main market. Small restaurant with a descent ambinece.... Food was tasty and good to eat. Qty could have been a little more this is where I felt disappointed...
Staff behaviour was good. Overall a descent place to try Chinese food. Would def recommend the same. Thanks
Near triangular Park and in a very Prime Location. Very neat kind of a set up approx 30 seats. Very good and polite behaviour of the staffs.
Quality of food is excellent. Roast Chili Pork is a must try. We also had a preparation of Lamb with oyster and chili that is also mouthwatering. Their Mangolian chicken is also a dish for the main course. Overall it is a good place to take your family in weekend's for lunch or dinner. Waiting is approx 10 to 15 mins in weekends. Value for money. Per couple the budget is around Rs 1400.
Only the scope of improvement is their service. It is bit slow compared to the demand. I believe they will try to improve on that in coming days !
It was about 10 in the night and all the places we knew of in the vicinity were either closed or about to close, or had long queues. We were craving Chinese and a quick search on Google brought us to this small & cozy place, at the turning of the Panditiya Street in Diver Terrace.
It's not difficult to locate. The interiors & ambience is quite cozy and the staff is quick to see to your needs! The food is also decent. We ordered Dragon Chicken, Thai Rice & Kung Fao. Chicken. The Dragon Chicken was pretty good! I also tried Fried Ice-cream for the first time in my life! Great choice ♥️
The place seems very popular with orders as we kept watching a tirade of people coming to pick up food!
In closing, I am really glad we came across this cozy place and I hope more old, magical houses of Kolkata are restored to turn into such cutesy restaurants !
This restaurant had been in my bucket list since a long time and finally got to try some of their dishes. They make authentic chinese food and are quite pocket friendly. The waiters were well mannered and the owner of the restaurant was quite welcoming. He even helped us choosing the best of the desserts and they have this habit of changing desserts each and every day/week so that your taste buds doesnt bore. I recommend all to try their desserts. The best of all was the FRIED ICE CREAM. I haven't tried anything like this before but this thing tasted lovely. Overall their food,quantity, ambience everything was perfect.

Well I really had to search for the place it's hidden under the shadows of Gariahat but once you visit it its hella one great restaurant good food great hospitality nice ambience and some good signature dishes. It's a worthy place to visit because the dishes are hell good and enjoyable.
Food is very tasty but ambience was not up-to my expectations...

Visited this Restaurant recently,situated at Panditiya Road , 2minutes walk from Triangular Park.
The Ambience is very nice. Not too big but seating arrangements are quite comfortable.
We took Chicken Cantonese Noodles, Shanghai chicken and Grilled fish Sizzler. Every item was very good. Quantity was good too. Pocket pinch was reasonable.
Staff behaviour was good too. Good Chinese Restaurant. Overall nice experience.
Visited the restaurant today. The restaurant is very easy to locate. Less than a minute walk from Triangular Park Bus Stop. The ambience is pleasant with cordial staffs. The food is quite tasty to my pleasant surprise. I really loved their chilli mustard fish. The fish was well cooked with perfect crispness as well as right amount of mustard flavour. The prawn teriyaki sizzler and stir fried malaysian noodles was also tasty with a sweet and sour taste. Overall I would recommend this place for people who prefer chinese and have a limited budget.
The best Chinese experience till now..
Started with THICK SEAFOOD SOUP. and it was instant blockbuster...
Then the appetizers DRAGON CHICKEN and CHILLI MUSTARD FISH.. just poles apart by taste.. but both were just delicious.. dragon chicken is highly recommended..
Main course we had MIXED THAI RICE and GARLIC GINGER FISH.. just a perfect combo..
And to sum up with dessert suggested by the manager himself GUAVA KULFI.. unique taste.. first tym KULFI with spicy flavour and chilli powder on the top..

The food is really very tasty😋 The service is very fast, they have a nice and friendly service with a good ambience. It's a place where you can find delicious Chinese cuisine.
This restaurant serves the best Chinese food in the city. When you order Chinese, you expect a certain taste and that taste is more or less the same in all restaurants. However, The Great Wok of China offers you something different, I can't really point my finger at it but their Chinese food tastes different than of any other place. I am left wanting more every time I order something from them.
This is easily my favourite Chinese restaurant in the city. :D
My wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner tonight. We had the dragon chicken as well as the mustard chili fish. Both were very tasty. The owner took time to chat with us and we had the opportunity to practice our Bangla with our waiter. Great staff, great experience.

Yesterday had visited the restuarant as got to know about the restuarant from Zomato gold list...Ambience of the restuarant is quite impressive..
Had ordered hot and sour chicken soup which i was a little disappointed with as it was too light flowy.. the other two dish i.e dragon chicken and pan fried chicken noodles was very good..
only complaint is that the staff should be more active..we had to call the staff everytime to refill our water glass..we even had to remind them twice or thrice to fill the empty glass..
I visited here on a weekday when restaurant was understaffed. Yet it was a good experience. The all the dishes arrived on time and tasted great.
Chicken wanton soup was a great appetiser. It was light and flavour some. Korean chicken was suggested by our server. It is a satay styled dish with chunks of chicken pieces were served in a skewer. The chicken was tender and the sauce was delicious.
The Ho Fan Noodles is a rice noodle dish. The noodles had a chewy texture as it cooked down, but unlike other rice noodles, this did not become like rubber.
The Fried Ice-cream was a delight! The batter was light and savoury. It was first tine my parents tried this and they loved it.
This restaurant is perfect for a family lunch or dinner in a pocket-friendly budget. The ambience is calming, the staff is prompt and courteous and the owner himself attended to all the questions personally!

Located at the confluence of Mahanirban Road and Panditiya Road at Ballygunge Kolkata this place is quite easy to be spotted by anyone. It's a small restaurant serving Chinese/Oriental flavours and the ambience has also been designed on that way.
If you are low on pocket and want to taste some exotic Chinese dishes this is one of the best place to hangout.
We entered around 10:15pm and was asked to order all the dishes we would like to relish altogether cause their Kitchen normally closes by 10:30pm. So it's recommended that you go a bit early. We ordered Roasted Chilli Pork, Yuang Chow Fried Rice, Devils Chicken and Brownie with Ice Cream. All the preparations were served fast but we're served hot. The food was delicious and was wonderful cause the combination of ordering went well as the level of spices in each item sufficed for one another and wasn't excess or less.
Now the entire bill amount came to be around 600 including taxes along with a Zomato Gold privilege.
The staff service was also appreciable.
Would surely like to visit once more again!!!
A little small place around 20 can seat..
But very well decorated. Food taste and quantity are good enough. Also varieties of food are available and it's delicious too. The guys over there can recommend properly to choose from the dishes.. but personally I didn't like the crispy squirt. Otherwise fab.

If you are craving for some authentic Chinese delicacies give this place a visit.
This place is a minute walk from City Style in Triangular Park.
Seating arrangement around 50. Ambience is calm and quiet. Top notch Chinese Food.
Lets have a look at the delicacies I tasted.
1) VEG DOUBLE COOKED PAN-FRIED NOODLES - Crispy Pan-fried noodles served with lots of vegetables cooked in thick gravy. It has bell peppers, baby corns, brocolli and other veggies.
2) BALI CHICKEN - Small pieces of chicken tossed in sauce. It has a spicy flavor and tasted delicious.
3) CHICKEN MOON FAN - It is basically Chicken Rice. It is a staple food of Mauritius. It contains almost no veggies and lots of chicken.
4) ROASTED CHILLI PORK - Pork roasted in spicy sauces and tasted heavenly.
5) SPICY SRIRACHA PRAWN -Thai style preparation of prawns. Prawns are tossed in spicy sauces and this goes well with the main course rice and noodles.
6) PORK RIBS - Pork ribs fried and tossed in spicy sauce. A very flavorful and spicy starter.
7) FISH THAI RED CURRY - The fish gravy has been cooked with the typical Thai red sauce. It is a spicy dish and again goes well with the main course rice or noodles.
8) CHICKEN FRIED STEAK SIZZLER - Chicken sizzler with lots of veggies and spicy sauces.
Overall the food and ambience is up to the mark and you should visit this place if you are a fan of Chinese dishes. This place would live unto your expectations.

**Location** = Located at the bylanes of Dover Terrace, just take the lane beside the City Style and it is there on your left.
**Ambiance/Decor** = Calm and soothing ambiance with little decor and they play sweet tunes and I loved the ambiance overall. They have seating capacity of around 15-20 people at once.
**Things Tried** = We were a group of people and had ordered a few dishes from their wide menu :
Sliced Chicken in Holy Basil Sauce :: Such a heavy name, but the taste really makes you feel ecstatic, chicken slices in Basil sauce tasted great.
Pan-Fried Chilli Fish :: Not much hoolabaloo, our all time favourite pan fried chilly fish, loved it.
In the mains we opted for
Chilly Garlic Noodles and Fried Rice :: Both of which were quantity wise enough for 2.
Hunan Fish :: I loved the fish in Hunan style, the fresh fish with salted peppers and sauce makes it unputdownable.
Five Spice Chicken :: The delicious chicken is enhanced with an exotic marinade featuring Chinese 5-spice powder. Recommended.
In the desserts we tried their Fried Ice cream, and I loved the crunchy coconutty outer crust, filled with delicious vanilla ice cream, perfect!
**Purse Check** = My suggestion would be Rs.1000/- which is enough for 2 persons.
**Overall** = A gem of a place to try some lip-smacking Asian cuisine, definitely going back for more. They also have Zomato gold, dont miss out on this place. Cheers!
