The best briyani to have on South Calcutta the price are High but the with the portion quantity and quality the amount is nothing to have a good food ppl spend there so relax and visit this restaurant you'll love the briyani

It is a restaurant located near James Long Crossings. It serves Indian and Chinese delicacies. We ordered Chicken Bharta and Fish Chilly and it was hot and delicious and was well packed as well !

Very nice food, courteous stuffs. We went there on a Saturday afternoon, it was not that crowdy. It's near behala friends club. We ordered chicken drumsticks of heaven as a starter. It was drooling but a bit spicy. We had mix hakka noodles and chilli chicken as main course. It was delicious and sufficient. Overall nice experience.
When I was browsing through Zomato I found this place cheap. So ordered few items for my lunch. Starting with mutton biriyani.. taste was good but the potato was damaged it was black in the centre . No egg but mutton piece was good. Now comes the mutton kasa 2 pieces were there. With one boneless piece and the other was almost bone. The gravy was delicious . Next comes chicken fried rice . It was the best item of all. Very good quantity with very good amount of chicken in it. On the sides I had chicken manchurian . Again a very good dish but less of chicken more of flour was present. Overall a very good place.. all these costed 310+ quantity -cant expect more .. quality - improvements can be done. Also they served salads with the biriyani which had onions and lemon .
Very easy to locate as it's located very close to James Long crossing if you're availing the D.H.Road then get off at 14no. Bus stop and walk towards James Long , and it's situated on your right.
It's a small cosy place well decorated but it offers a sitting to a limited number of people , therefore take away would be the best option. Though we had a dine in experience. The staffs are quite helpful.
We ordered Drums of Heaven for Starters. Egg Schezwan fried rice , Hong Kong Chicken (8 pieces) , Veg Polao , Chicken Maharaja (as suggested by the waiter and it was truly awesome , though 4 pieces are served) , Chicken Bharta also suggested by the waiter and Butter Naan. Food was nice and quantity was satisfying too. The price is reasonable too and they do not charge GST. So give it a try.

A small food court where you get exceptionally good food at a reasonable price. The staffs are very well mannered and the Indian menu is better than the Chinese one. A very favourable place for takeaway and their rolls are to die for.

Ok... I was waiting a long time to write this review. Don't know why but I will try to be as unbiased as possible while writing this review. The reason behind of mentioning the word Bias is because I started visiting this place about 3years back and I haven't been able to stop yet. I visit this place from time to time, atleast once in a month is not just because of the place being just half an hour's drive from my place but also due to the Great Food and the Great Service that one can have and that too at such a small-scale place.
Food: In one word amazing. The quality and quantity of the food that you get here is better than most of the restaurants nearby and not just that but also the ingredients they use are fresh and on top of that the price is pocket-friendly. I would not use the word cheap but it is in a way pocket friendly. If you are a guy like me who loves to start from soup and end the course of meal with dessert then the bill you will receive will shock you as it will be 2 times as less than most other restaurants.
The Service - The service provided by the restaurant staffs are always a factor to be considered while visiting a restaurant, be it a fine-dining or a simple one at the corner of the street. This restaurant in particular will not disappoint you when it comes to service. The staff at this place is friendly and will always look after a issue if you have any.
P.S - The only reason I am not rating this restaurant 5 stars is because of the lack of the size of the place. The should have upgraded the size of the place by now..
Anyways still a great place to visit and don't worry even though the sitting capacity is a bit less, no one should face any issue unless it is the festive season. :P
While pandal hopping in Behala,I came across this place near to the Behala Nutan Dal Pandal. They serve Indian and Chinese food.
Fast selling items were Biriyani,Noodles and Rolls.
We ordered 2 Chicken rolls. The paratha was crisp and was a perfect match for the juicy chicken pieces.
Each Chicken roll cost Rs. 40/-
I don't have any idea why this place is so underrated. Thoroughly enjoyed Biriyani and Tandoori chicken. The restaurant is small but very cozy. The staff are very cooperative.
I cannot fathom why this place has such a low rating. The chicken and the mutton biryani is by far one of the best I've had in behala. The special mutton biryani has generious portions of meat and the rice is super soft, delicious and non greasy. We mostly do a home delivery and the guys are pretty much on time.
not sure why this place has such a poor rating.... always did a take away from this place which is at the james long sarani four point crossing going towards 14 no. bus stand.... bang on main road and this place probably has a seating upstairs.... took food after a long time from there n it was delicious at super inexpensive rates.... 8pcs of garlic chicken gravy, a mixed fried rice, 2 lachha parantha and 4pcs of kadhai chicken cost me only 379 bucks..... and the qty was really generous.... the kadhai chicken was delicious.... the garlic chicken tasted sweet and not how it shud be made but nevertheless it was delicious too.... its open till late and recommended for take aways for sure

Well i am a regular visitor of this food joint . Regular means , at least once in a month if not twice. I am quite familiar face with the servers and they are sometimes naive but nice .
if you are looking for more or less tasty food with affordable price . This is the place to hang around.
you can spent some time in homely atmosphere with your near and dear ones. Usually i order Chicken Hakka Chow-min or Reshmi Kebab with Roti. The ingredients are relatively fresh and you get the food in time. They accept PayTm and all cards with relatively small bill.
But i would like to see some addition in menu like 'Chilly Baby Corn ' or ' Red Pepper Chicken'.
one downside , they don't have any rest room which can be set back for all food lovers.
Ps :- Please stop using Ajino Motto/Chinese salt because it is a health hazard chemical.
Food Quality exellent. I take my dinner here quite often.. Exellent Biriyani and Chinese preparations. And one thing I must say about this place is the behavior of their staffs are really brilliant..

My favorite place. This is our second home. For any celebrations me and my college buddies visit here. We almost tasted every item. Best is tandoori chicken and chicken tikka butter masala. Situated just next to my house it's a good place to get food delivery whenever there is nothing cooked available at home.
For snacks rolls are good enough and dinner - well they have a lot of things to offer but I feel their paratha and chicken tandoori are good enough to score big.....
Chinese delicacies used to be good but now, they just lack the extra punch they used to have at the beginning.

Excellent biriyani absolutely non-greasy.For starters we tried pan fried momo the taste was awsome.Hats off to this joint and hope people of Behala would give treats in this festive season.
Great ambiance . ...great food ...superb service...and rates not at all expensive...we had chicken sweet corn soup,laccha paratha and chicken do piaza ,cold drinks(600ml) and it cost 288 only.Looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu card
Taste wow. Yeah I can say I was the 9th customer of this restaurant. Hehe jokes a part.... The resturent is not so big but they presenting foods in a simple manners. The staircase that leads customers to the sitting room is really placed in a small space. But foods are available here at cheap rate.

Its jst a minutes away frm my house so i visit it quiet frequently... the speaciality of this place is it serves good quality food at a very cheap rate.
Hong kong and schezwan chowmein is the must try for anyone who comes here i can bet u, u can't get a better hong kong and schezwan chowmein at this price anywhere in kolkata.

bought 1 plate of mutton butter masala and 3 laccha parathas :D :D for takeaway pros - tasty tasty and tasty!!! cons - mutton was little bit harder though till now i haven't got the chance to eat soft muttons :'( in all total handi food court is the right place for all the budget food lovers :D m giving 4 out of 5 :) :)

Located on Roy Bahadur toad, this restaurnt may b a bit difficlt to locate for any non localite. Its a very small restro which serves yummy fod at cheap rates. I recommend to try Indian breads with Chicjen Handi spcl.. Chinese is palatable as well. It used to be a fast food joint previously which was somehow converted into a restro. U need to climd steep staicase to reach the dining area. Also they dont have proper trained waiters.. But food indeed is good. Worth a try if u stay nearby. Pocket friendly as well.

Visited-2021,If you want to try something authentic then visit this place and enjoy the authentic mughlai cuisine.
Visited-2023,still quality is same and price is also reasonable but if you ‘dine-in’ then mostly what you ‘take away’ ,you have to pay ₹20 extra for maximum things in the menu but its okay its fully air conditioned.Better to order separately than combo .And more something if you want to taste mughlai then always go for the take away option because when you eat there then there will be less quantity served.
