• Food - quality and quantity, both were good. • Service - onboarded staffs were polite and good. • Atmosphere - was calm and nice, however, they have less seating capacity. Place seems a bit small and congested. . . We tried their Fish in Honey Lemon Mustard after seeing the reviews. It was good but we personally didn't like it much. Something different but we feel that they should use a little less mustard and lemon. . Overall it was good.

One of the best restaurants serving authentic chinese food in and around Newtown. They serve tasty food along with good amount of quantity. Staff’s behaviour is also notable. Recommend for a small get together of 30-35 people. Special thanks to Ram da and team.

We had a quick dinner here before the start of a late night movie in the adjacent multiplex. The space is small suitable for couples or smaller groups. The food was served quickly and we found the taste good. Service was prompt. The restaurant caters to a large number of online deliveries as was apparent from the presence of Swiggy/Zomato folks. We ordered the burnt garlic rice accompanied by hunan fish alongside lime soda. Service was good and we enjoyed the meal. Recommend for a quick dine in or takeaway.

Quantity is very good - Fried rice and Noodles are serves for 2, All Fish items have 8 pcs (only Prawn - 6pcs) , Chicken items have 10 pcs. Must try: Fish in Lemon Mustard honey❤️. Only 1 Cons: No Wash room or space for Hand wash inside resturant, you need to use the Mall's one.

Nice, cozy ambiance. Courteous staff. Prompt service. We tasted various dishes here and all of those were very good but not excellent. But it is something that you will enjoy. Last time when I visited, we found two of the side dishes we ordered had almost same taste. Offered some advice to them and had a polite discussion about that. It was well received and they said that they will look into it. I am giving 4* due to this attitude as they showed their inclination to listen to their customers. Recommended.

Cute Indo-Chinese restaurant located in Axis Mall (2 min walk from Novotel). Good quality food, but a little spicier than anticipated. Especially the salt and pepper sauce is quite hot. The chilly fish (Basa) was not as good as it is in the signature China town restaurants. Service was good.

Situated within Axis Mall, 47 South Tangra Road, is a small oriental joint and everyone's favourite for cheap and quick lunch or something to munch. Come for their fork-tender Chicken in Oyster Sauce — a classic pairing of chicken and oyster sauce. Sweet lovers should go for the tasty Darsan with Ice cream that comes with pan-fried flat noodles tossed in honey and a roasted sesame seeds dressing. Satisfy your pesky Chinese cravings at 47 South Tangra Road, a Chinese outlet in Axis Mall. Go for the Steamed Chicken Dumplings, featuring spicy minced chicken, chopped garlic and ginger inside freshly steamed dough paired with a tangy peanut mustard sauce. Next try out the Drums of Heaven in Chilli Plum Sauce – think tender chicken legs with a nice outside crisp and soft middle, topped with a well-balanced, savoury chilli plum sauce and caramelised onions. Make a beeline for the Chicken in Oyster Sauce, where delightfully juicy chicken is doused in freshly prepared garlicky oyster sauce. Slow-cooked till extremely soft, their Chicken in Oyster Sauce is an excellent option when paired with Five Treasure Chicken Rice. If fried rice are on your mind, go for the Five Treasure Chicken Rice – think juicy chicken chunks, caramelised vegetables, spices and fluffy rice. For dessert, get the Deep Fried Darsan with Ice cream, where Darsan is both delightfully sticky as it is crispy. Pair that with a heart-melting scoop of ice cream, and your afternoon is made.

One of the best restaurants of Axis Mall, Newtown. They have China Town, Kolkata's charm, don't look for high end interior. When it comes to the food, they are excellent. They serve a large quantity of food in reasonable price. Taste is excellent. Must try!!!!!

Get a bite of Kolkata’s China Town @ 47 South Tyangra Road.! Nestled in a secluded corner on the 3rd Floor of Axis Mall, stands this powerful punch of a Chinese kitchen, which has been serving quick fares of Indianized-Chinese food since quite some time now. The menu is short, simple and sweet, and is mostly focused on dishes which suits our palette. While there may be slight touches of here and there of authentic Chinese, the trade is fairly simple, yet packs quite a punch. Owing its name of perhaps one of the most popular area in this city for serving the cuisine it offers, the restaurant does its best to offer a taste, flavor and experience so acquainted to our tastebuds. We started off with their Lemon Coriander Chicken Soup, a lovely amalgamation of flavors emancipating from the fresh coriander, intensified by the acidity of the lemon. A sudden gush of freshness wipes past your tastebuds as you get ready to dig into their steamed chicken dumplings, made out of a thin wrapper with the coating of minced chicken and minced vegetables inside, paired along with a hearty soup. Next to come was the quintessential Chicken in Dry Chilli Oyster Sauce – soft and juicy chicken coated in a thin cornflour batter, fried and lightly tossed in a tangy and sweet oyster sauce. Drums of Heaven in Chilly Plum Sauce kept us licking our fingers, with the sticky plum sauce absolutely overshadowing its chilli counterpart making us crave for a repeat order. The star of the day however was the Fish in Honey Lemon Mustard Sauce. A perfect combination of the sweet honey, playing tunes with the slightly bitter mustard and then both of these flavors counteracted by the acidity of the lemon. What you get is a spoon of sweet, tangy, bitter and acidic flavours all at the same time in the same bite. The mains were short and sweet. Simple Chicken Hakka Noodles and Burnt Garlic Coriander Chicken Rice paired with Hot Garlic Chicken and Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce. The quintessential Chicken Hakka Noodles was a perfect match to the Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce – the dish owing its fiery colour probably due to the red chilly paste, it had noticeable bites of black pepper hitting the tongue, thereby elevating the otherwise blant Hakka Noodles, usually being devoid of any prominent spices. The Hot Garlic Chicken on the other hand was rather simple and sweet, and it too was a perfect match with the rather elevated Burnt Garlic Coriander Chicken Rice. A perfect tale of balancing the subtle with the spiced, this was a meal worth remembering! #chinese #axismall #47southtyangraroad #honeylemonmustard #hotgarlic #whenstomachtickles

On the 4th floor of Axis Mall. A good place to eat Chinese. But do not eat Chicken Manchurian. It is not tasty. Rest all food is good. Staff is polite and does good service. Ambience is good too.
