My favourite carbohydrate has always been Potato and I love it coming in any shapes and sizes . French fries from the J has topped my favourite cafe . Extremely hygienic and tasty too . The shakes were equally good . I really appreciate that the fries are mixed well with the sauces and still they aren't soggy . Highly recommend it .
Cheese on my fries please! Thought of trying out the cheesy veg fries at this outlet. The quantity was good and the double cheese fries was great in taste as well.
They have got a lot of options to choose from (both veg and non-veg fries).

After its grand opening, I feel that this is one of the best place for fries and shakes. The french fries is served with a twist. They are mixed with your choice of sauce and lots of cheese making it a complete lipsmacking dish. And the shakes are quite amazing too rather than the regular milkshakes.
I had ordered one J in the Jungle, Popcorn Fries and Angry Birds. The names are quite catchy making one more curious to try out their dishes and I need to accept that, they are just marvellous. I had ordered one Belgian Chocolate Shake, which tasted great.
Had an awesome experience. An astonishing place indeed. Highly recommended to all. Go and have your part of enjoyment as I had. 😊

The place is amazing. I tend to order it from the place to my home, and they never disappoint. It's comes to my hands, as fresh as it does in the restaurant. Steaming hot fries that one can enjoy.
The pink lemonade is a signature drink of the j and is totally amazing .Now coming to the fries , I went with the j in the jungle from the non veg fries menu which contained shredded chicken and two different types of sauce . I added a third type of thai sweet sauce as well. The taste was great . All in all it was an amazing experience.The seating capacity of the place is a little low since it doesn't consist of a whole lot of space or seats . The only drawback is that the quantity is a little less compared to the price range .
It's a perfect place for evening snack.. with American fries and pink lemonade.. worthwhile.. price is affordable too .. the place is cosy.. the behaviour of the staff are really appreciable
The mumbai to kolkata joint ,surely was a buzz in town . The fries are so perfectly blend with the sauce and chicken , completly to crave for .

Though I did not visit the outlet, the name was quirky enough to make me order. I ordered a BBQ cheese Chipotle fries and it cost me 200 bucks almost. First I thought it was quite expensive for just a pack of fries, but after receiving the order, must say the quantity is too much to finish it off in a go. The food was quite tasty. Loved it to every bit but sadly couldn't finish it. If you have a big appetite go for it. I'd definitely recommend it.

The shakes are amazing! This place serves the best American cuisine. The shakes are smooth and full of flavor. The fries are crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Creamy and cheesy burst.
I was eager to try their fries after reading many good reviews. So, tried people's favourite Pizza fries. Ordered online through Zomato. The delivery was prompt and hassle free.
The fries were coated in pizza sauce and topped with jalapeno cheese sauce. The quantity was ok. Taste was good. Nothing extraordinary.
I was planning to visit this place for a quite sometime now, and finally got the chance to visit there.
I ordered Chicken Burrito Fries, Red Velvet Cakeshake and Nutella- Oreo milkshake.
I must say, this was enough for two of us and we didn't eat anything before evening.

This was my 2nd time eating from the J and I am really intrigued with this concept.. This time we had ordered "J in the jungle" fries which is apparently one of the best seller's of the joint. You get to choose 2 basic sauces and the other additional ones are chargeable. We decided to go with mayonnaise and chipotle sauce. The fries were also accompanied with 10 pcs of chicken popcorn... The mayonnaise was nice and thick in texture but was way too sour for my taste buds. The chipotle sauce kept the sourness of the mayo at bay. Since we had our order delivered, the fries became a bit soggy and cold but that is our fault, ofcourse if you have it at the shop itself this won't be a problem. So do give it a try fellas, it is a nice change for your taste buds
Ordered a Pink lemonade which was very refreshing and it kinda tasted like 7up .If you wanna have a ready to go mocktail then this is it and it's price worthy also.
The place is really hard to locate but good. The accommodations are very less. But the quantity and quality of the food was worth it. The services are pretty quick and the prices are affordable. Good place for fries lovers!

I ordered a garlic mayo Schezwan fries and one bbq cheese fries. The sauce were bang on. Worth the price. Quite filling too. The staffs are good, it doesn't have a cosy sitting arrangement but it has spacious sitting arrangement. The food, the experience was really nice.

Im a big fan of fries and this place did a good job for me. Wouldnt say im a fan, because some of the sauces just overpower the taste of fries and is just too much. But altogether its an amazing joint for varities of fries.

They serve a wide range of French Fries and Shakes and have managed to infuse flavours of some major cuisines resulting in lip-smacking delicacies.
In your view here are Butter Chicken fries, BBQ Chicken fries and Tandoori Chicken fries with Butterscotch Caramel Milkshake and Chocolate Coffee Milkshake as amazing supporting roles. XD
Imagine these amazing chicken preparations with fries as the main! Butter Chicken is the winner. The chicken popcorns with buttery gravy are just what you are actually looking for. Tandoori chicken lives up to it's flavour with chicken shreds. Might not be the one you should go for though. BBQ chicken fries are more of the BBQ sauce, Jalapeno cheese sauce and the fries. Expect some sausage as the topping.
The milkshakes were quite good given the price. The Chocolate Coffee Milkshake is just the kind for chocolate lovers while the Butterscotch Caramel Milkshake is for the sweeter tooth.

It is a nice place for finger food. Not very hard to locate either. It's near La Marts for boys. We tried the butter chicken fries. If you just visit for a snack then it is enough for two. There were generous toppings of chicken and mayonnaise. The fries were mixed with sauces which made them a little sloppy. It cost us 180 rupees which I feel is quite value for money. The only downside for me was that the fries were not crispy. Will certainly visit again to try out other flavours. Recommended.
The fries are just perfect. Finger licking and always want to go there again. The combination of the sauces in the pizza fries was finger licking. I recommend everyone to go there and take fries 💯

They serve fries, milkshakes and lemonades...very inexpensive and of great quality.
Seating arrangements are available and they can accommodate approximately 10 -20 people.
The fries are amazing and at the given price they are quite affordable.
They serve a variety of fries both in veg and nonveg as well as milkshakes and lemonades.
The fries start from 120- 180 range and the shakes are also of the same. The lemonades costs 50 rs each.
So it is quite evident that how affordable it is. Other than that the quirky get up of the place is really amazing as it makes the outlet look very nice and attractive.
My personal favorite are the CHICKEN POPCORN FRIES...in this they serve fries with 10 pcs of popcorn chicken and tops itt with cheese and mayonnaise. The other favourite is the TIKKA BUTTER MASALA FRIES in this it has the flavour of tikka butter masala topped with shredded chicken and a bit spicy.
Frankly speaking i don't have anything to say about their milkshakes as all of them are mindblowing still the ones I ordered were, RED VELVET CAKE SHAKE, PEANUT BUTTER SHAKE AND NUTELLA SHAKE...even CARAMEL SHAKE tastes amazing.
So do try their items...as all of them are amazing...they even deliver food at home as well as the shakes and you can completely trust on them regarding the packaging as they really does that pretty well and not even a drop is spilt.

They have this Bar stool kind of sitting place on either sides. The perfect place to hangout with friends after college hours IMO.

Well after a really horrible experience at "Fusion Fantasy" (you can check my profile) me and wife came with half empty stomach to "THE J" AT 11 p.m. we ordered butter chicken fries , classic chat masala flavour Potato Ringers (i think it's ringer as it's a new item) and Lemon ice tea....The Butter chicken was just frozen chicken meat ball and frozen fries which was mixed in mayo and sauce ...The taste was not good as the fries were soggy and meatball were frozen so it was hard...After that we ordered Ringer which was fresh hand cut ring style potato fried and it was awesome in taste and the chilled lemonade iced tea was really refreshing and tasted really good.....it is a pocket friendly place to go with your Friends and have a chilled out time...I would recommend this place ....

Currently visited this place in Loudon Street. The ambience has soothing and chilled atmosphere. Jumping on to what we had-
Cold coffee milkshake which was 3.5 out of 5, okayish and nothing too great but at the same time wasn't disappointing.
Belgian chocolate cakeshake steals the heart with 5 out of 5, pure bliss for every chocolate lover.
Red velvet cakeshake which was really thick and you can actually get the cake crumb as you sip through.
If you're a spice lover aka indian food fanatics then you should definitely try the best-selling butter chicken fries. It comes with an explosion of flavours, as you bite in you get the perfect fries coated with thick butter chicken sauce or gravy. Topped with fresh mayo and cilantro ofcourse with indian twist.
Magic fries is recommended for people who likes to experiment and loves chatpata.

Red Velvet Cheeseshake- red velvet cake pops and vanilla ice-cream goes into this creamy milkshake. I could feel the red velvet crumbs coming in every sip.

The J has been in my bucket list for long, and I so loved it. It is located in loudon street area, more precisely , it is 2 mins walk from minto park. It is a small joint where they serve french fries with some fine customisation. They have got a wide variety of topping in veg and even in non-veg.
From the menu , i had
1. Butter chicken french fries - I personally loved this one, french fries topped with sufficient amount of cheese and then to it was added some fried chunks of chicken and finally topped with mayonnaise. Not only it sounds delicious but it even tasted good.
2. Pizza french fries - Pizza is all about cheese and marinara and well they first mix up the fries with spices and then top it with 2 layers of cheese and suaces. Pizza fries were a bit tangy than i thought it should be.
3. Nutella oreo shake - A pure bliss for all the nutella lover. The J provides some beautifully made shakes too. And this one was really good. It was a thick shake and it was served with oreo on the top of it.
4. Butterscotch caramel shake - Being a butterscotch lover , i can say i am going to have this one the next time. The flavour of the caramel was significant. And the buttery texture was surely giving it a richness .
I was in the nearby are and due to my unquenchable thirst i stepped in this joint. it was small but not suffocating could accommodate 8 to 10 people, lots of standing space though..the kitchen is open so you can see what's cooking.i ordered barbeque sausage fries and nutella milkshake .the fries and the cheese and the sausages complimented each other very well.the milkshake was so good.i love to come back again and try other kinds of fries and shakes as well.a good place for quick Bites..

The J have brought up your favourite snack, french fries along with a lot of customization and being fond of potatoes this place was a bliss to me. They serves some great range of fries along with delicious shakes. This is a small and well decorated place along with an ample amount of space to accommodate 20 people. They do have seating arrangements. The black and white decor all around the place gave it a touch of elegance.
Mostly it's a self service place but the fries were cooked really fast and they guided us well so that we can have the best. They were very welcoming while receiving our order and the best part is, you can have a kitchen tour and see your fries getting ready. They ensures that proper hygiene is maintained while the fries are being cooked.
I absolutely loved everything I had. I really wish I had more but I felt quite saturated after having few of them.
1️⃣ Pizza fries (4/5) : French fries marinated with pizza sauce and served along with a lot of cheese and mayo mix. The fries were crispy and the cheese topped above the fries made it more delicious. This dish is a bit on the saltier side. Give it a try to get the taste of pizza packed in fries.
2️⃣ Butter chicken fries (5/5) :This was the best fries I've ever had. Crispy fries marinated with makhani gravy and topped with chicken popcorns. They added some mayo to give a twist to the flavour of butter chicken. The smell of the makhani gravy was enough to make me fall in love with this dish. This is a must try.
3️⃣ Red velvet cakeshake (4/5) : This flavour has always been my favourite and nothing can be better than seeing it as a delicious glass of shake. Red velvet cake mixed finely to form a thick shake. The tiny cake pops that came up as we took a sip made it more delicious.
4️⃣ Nutella oreo shake (4.5/5) : Nutella blended with oreo and milk gave some great taste which made it better to have. The sweetness of this dish was kept on a medium note so it was easy to have full if it. The oreo topped over the drink added more of flavours to the drink. A must try.

When it comes to Fries, The J is pretty new name yet it has garnered a ton of rave reviews which is why I decided to give this place a second visit. This place solely bases itself on a diverse range of Fries along with a ton of Shakes and Beverages.
Speaking of Ambience, the place isn't huge, yet it has beautifully maintained a simple and elegant decor, that really fits with it's theme. It also has convenient seating arrangements for a decent amount of people but even without it, the place remains pretty comfortably spacious.
Speaking of Service, it's a mostly self service junction, but the staff does help out with accuracy and without any delays.
Coming to Food, I loved everything that I had. The Fries were really well made, they are crispy, rich and flavourful, each variant having a distinct touch to itself. The Shakes, especially are absolute wonders at this place, probably one of the best ones I've had in this city, each and every one of them are splendid and spectacular in their own ways.

While wondering at Camac street area i found this little place. And I went to try their shakes. Although I was full after a heavy lunch before the visit but my craving for a strawberry milkshake never ends..😁.. so I odered their red velvet milk shake. Which was a very good choice for me. I really enjoyed it. I will visit this place again to try their fries...
I tried the cheese chilli fries and the staff asked me to try the pink lemonade and added that it is very tasty.Pink lemonade was fizzy,refreshing but nothing great.coming to the fries it was good till 4 to 5 bites but as it was too creamy and heavy filling it will not taste good afterwards.You wouldn't like to finish it all alone.I would suggest you to share your fries with your friend. You would definitely like the fusion.The milkshake was great.Thick smooth and tasted awesome.I tried the butterscotch caramel milkshake.The red velvet shake is also good.

Of all the dishes chicken pizza fries owned my heart .loaded with sausages ,french fries and a lot of mayonnaise tasted awesome.
The Oreo milkshake was a bit overpriced to me which had only one Oreo on the top for its name.
The fries were not crisp enough and the cheese overpowered the dish.
I am absolute lover of the fries that 'The J' serves. As always I ordered Barbeque chicken fries but today along with that I order Markhani gravy fries too... which blew my mind...!!!! 😍😇

The list continues as follows:- Salsa Cheese Fries (Rs 110), Garlic Mayo Schezwan Fries (Rs 110), the new introduction Makhani Fries (Rs 160), Sausage Fries (Rs 160), Popcorn Fries (Rs 160), Chips ‘n’ Fish (Rs 180). A Butter Scotch Caramel milk shake (Rs 110) and soo on and with some lemonade to cool off.

Had Magic Fries with Iced Tea. Price is pretty reasonable. The ambience is trendy and they play good music. You will definitely feel a positive vibe upon entering. The fries was amazing! The thing I liked was the table - it had holes where you can put your fries cone. Pretty nice concept!

This place has really unique concept.Its like a fries bar.So many variety of fires are available.We opted of a pizza chessy chicken fries and shreded chicken fires with schechwan sauce.
The quantity is huge and two people cam easily share. We had also order oreomilk shake and a lemon ice tea.
The bill came upto 500.
The service is really quick.You even get high tools to ait and enjoy the meal.

The place is famous for the varied flavours of fries.you should try the barbeque fries and their brownie shake.the fries are pretty filling although they may not look so order reasonably.

A new concept to Kolkata, as far as I know that is. You can get a decently filling item for 200 bucks my personal favorite is the J in the jungle, adding to that, the shakes, they are delicious as well. The only thing I didn't like about the place is the seating arrangement, not a "large group" friendly arrangement. All in all, I liked the place. 😊
Taste wise pretty good, interesting and new. A good variety of choices both in veg and non veg. Price is justified as per the area. Interiors are really well designed. Looking forward to come here again.
