It was just like home made.
The only Place in Burra bazar for homely food, only Thali system is available, in winter season it becomes more delicious as there are three type of Chapaties served three type of vegetables Dal rice papad salad etc you can also ask for raita, curd
Love it💕
Home like food ,very economical .We are all working at home and Our cook was on leave and a friend suggested this place as he had been having his dinner evryday here for almost 5 years ,We thought to give it a try and it was above our expectations .It was not the first time we had such thali system but this one was REALLY HOME LIKE .We have been having it since last week regularly in dinner .it has that rajasthani taste u crave for . It is cost saving as well as hygenic as yes tastes very much like vegetarian rajasthani authenic food."Three different vegetable ,dal ,rice ,2 kinds of chapati ,pickle ,onion, green chilly ,lemon, papad "- worth every penny !!N yes they have a different vegetable each day and even rice is exchanged with pulao some days ,my grandmother in law in he70's loves the "kachar ki chutney "they sometimes provide ,it reminds her of her old days ,I wonder how these ppl have even one negative review ,If u like veg rajasthani home food u wud definitly love the place.

Food Ordered & Description : It was a Wednesday afternoon in the office and was looking for ordering some good food. Searched zomato for thali in and around my office at Poddar Court.. after exploring for a while found this place. When I visited its website, it says it is there for 70 years. Never heard of this place. No review on zomato. I was surprised. Decided trying out this place. Sent my staff to pickup the food from the place. It also delivers in adjacent areas depending on orders. They have two types of thali.. lukhi & ghee wali.. Ordered ghee wali thali. At around 90 Rs + 15rs packaging charges, the items they provide in thali is more than enough for 1 person. Thali included :
Parwal Sabji..
Chola dahi Sabji..
Alu dam..
Yellow Dal..
4 fulka
1 missi roti..
Steam Rice..
Onion Salad..
Parwal sabji and Aloo dam was awesome. Though I dnt like parwal sabji anywhere but I must admit it was best I have ever had. All the other items were also good. Worth a try thali given the price and quantity they offer. 2 thali is good for 3 people.
This place is a satisfaction. Here you come hungry and leave with a stomach full of healthy and home made like food. The people are polite, the food is tasty, the hygeine is maintained and most importantly the food is actually good for your health. If you are hungry then just come here for home like food and also old vibes. I left here with full satisfaction.
The best homemade food you can get in Kolkata is here. It is the best Rajasthani basa you can find in the City the. If u are finding some Authentic North Indian food here is the best option you can visit anytime soon. My first visit made it so special that till today I have refer it to more than hundred of people.
Excellent!! - the kind of discovery that makes exploring a new city worth it! The home-style, vegetarian Rajasthani fare, cooked on an open wood fire, is served ladle-full (and one piping hot chipati) at a time until you manage to tell your server you truly have had enough.
The sign at the front on Cotton srreet is clear enough but you must keep going to the top floor to find Omji. Definitly worth the climb! While the menu is pretty much the night's thali the variety of flavours is wide! It's a family run business frequented by locals in the know. Visiting the Howrah bridge and the Barabazar is a good way to work up an appetite that will deposit you hungry at their doorstep.
Pure Veg food with home quality.
The food is just awesome. If you want to have proper "Marwari Basa" khana. Its however overpriced on zomato. The place is quite cheaper when you visit it.
Located in the heart of Burrabazaar business area. Excellent quality and taste of food. Authentic Marwari / Rajasthani food. Very cordial owner and staff. Very homely ambience. Loved the place.
Got regular thali as takeaway. The food was tasty and wholesome. Will definitely order again.
The food is delicious & tasty... It doesn't make me feel that we are eating outside our home.. The best thing is they also traditional foods on holi/diwali
