I have been gorging on their sweets since my childhood days and they have kept the quality of the sweets the same!! The price is also very competitive. My current favorite is their Rajbhog priced at Rs20 only which is stuffed with pistachios and kheer. It is hands down the best I have had.Highly recommended. And they also serve savouries like singara in the evening which is fully fried in ghee.Yum!!

Would rate 3.5/5. Bought sweets from here for my girlfriend's folks. Had bought Kesar bhog, which was satisfying but not much extraordinary. It's the mihidana that stands out. Truly one of the best mihidanas in Kolkata region we ever had. Would recommend highly.
Just beside lake mall age old heritage sweet shop.. Not much of variety but all the items r fabulous. They also have a small sitting space and provide dish and spoon ... We had rabdi, butter scotch Sandesh, Shor bhaja and chum chum. Liked it all. Must try for bong sweets
This is just adjacent to the entry gate of Lake Mall at lake market area..and is famous for their sweets and radhaballavis.
Tried radhaballavis which they serve with aloor dom, sankh sondesh, gurer rosogolla and khirer murki.. and i loves them all! I even packed some for my home. It's mentioned that there are no sitting arrangements available but they do have a small arrangements where you can sit and have your breakfast or evening snacks. Its a small sitting arrangements but it will suffice your need.
If u have a sweet tooth and haven't yet explored this place please do try. They have other branches at Bhawanipur and some other place too.
One if the oldest sweet shops of south kolkata serving quality sweets for years. Their mishti doi, sandesh items are good. But what stands apart is the mihidana. I recommend it is the best mihidana available in the city. The ghee laden orange mihidana is a pure bliss to the tastebud. Hugely recommended.
A very well known dessert shop in kolkata since quite a long time now. This particular branvh is located at the entrance of lake mall building at rashbehari area, very easy to locate. Took a parcel of sandwitch sandesh which they recommend me and rasgulla. Both of them were so good.
One of the best name in the world of sweets in kolkata! Must try items are the abar khabo, chomchom, mishti doi, green mango sandesh, mihidana, sitabhog and rasogolla.
This is one famous ols sweet in my locality.

Most popular and authentic sweet shop it is..it's beside lakemall..we ordered Sen mahasay special Misti doi.. which taste is unbeatable..on my next visit want to try their sandesh..
This is one of the popular sweetshops in Lake Market area which is famous for traditional sweets and savouries. We just tasted radhaballavi with aloo dum and nalen gurer rosogolla. Perfect evening snacks when there is chill in the air. Crisp radhaballavi with a super lentil based stuffing along with aloo dum made out of new baby potatoes... unbeatable! Sweeten up your palate with soft rosogolla drenched in mood lifting nolen gur syrup...I was so engrossed in gulping down the delicacies that I could not take any shots....so for this review let your imagination do the rest....
The freshness in the sweets and taste are hallmark of this shop. sandesh are just perfect and should try.they have a verity of sweets to offer
An old name for sweets...Very Good sweets ... You cannot stop at one...
Had their Sondesh, roso malai..So soft, and few others..
None disappointed me...
Added just one photo..All others were in my stomach 😋
It is one of the most legendary sweet shops in Kolkata.
The sweets are always fresh and soft and tasted nice.
I wish they improve their packaging to be more contemporary and come up with innovative items as well.
Very good traditional bengali Sweets. Their sweet store is not very decorated the ambience is not very good, they don't make any fusion Sweets but they have quality product.
Whenever I visit the Lake market area this sweet shop is always there in my list.
They never fail to amaze me with their sweet delicious preparations.
I just love their kalojaam & chanar sandesh ❤
So soft and perfectly baked!!! Always fresh and available.
Though not a sweet fanatic I like sen mahasaya's sweet as theirs is not excessive sweet. Its fresh and tastes good and they do have a lot of fusion sweet.
Well..great place for sweet-lovers..located in same building in the ground floor of Lake mall Rashbehari..
I have tried many times their sweets and each time it was great..recently got to taste Monmatano ( A green coloured sandesh, 20/-), Baisakhi sandesh and lord chamcham..all are good..Monmatano sandesh is just awesome..
Tried their Rosogolla and Singara. Both were really good. The Singara they served was warm enough and tasted very good. Sen Mahasaya is near Lake Mall and is a busy place. They have a huge collection of Sandesh. I also tried a few among them and each were equally good to taste.
Prices are reasonable as I found their quality good enough. Prices range from Rs.10-25 for Sandesh.

This is a place for the sandesh lovers of Bengal - serving sweets since a decade by maintaining its standard quality at a reasonable cost. Love their rosogollas, nalen gurer sandesh.
Ground floor of Lake Mall is stocked with good sweet shops, and one such reputed shop is 'Sen Mahasaya'. A proper sandesh place for all the sweet lovers out there. We had their Monohara and Badsahi sandesh. Both tasted really nice.
D brand name says it all..it lives up to d name.. Loved d chocolate sandesh n jolbhora sandesh....d innovative sweets r getting better......
Located at the ground floor of lake mall. This branch is really spacious. The behaviour of the staffs are also good compared to the other branches. Their sweets are no doubt good . Their Darbesh is my favourite amongst all.
The shop is located in the Lake Mall and one of the jewel in its crown . I am a regular buyer and is visiting the shop for the last 30 years .
The shop has good seating arrangement along with takeaway.
In one word the taste of the sweets are heavenly , traditional Bengali Taste , superb.
The Dilkhush , Kesar bhog, Rasomalai , Rosgolla , Doi are nothing but Awesome . If you like Bengali sweets , you cannot avoid this place .!
One of the pioneers of mishti in Kolkata - Sen mahasaya is a brand known by all.
This particular outlet is located right beside Lake Mall, which gives me immense happiness, as it so close to my house.
What I really like about this outlet is that they provide you with a place to sit.
Last Sunday, after watching a movie at Cinepolis, I was extremely hungry. And sen mahasaya came to my rescue with their yummy kochuri and alu dum.💖
The kochuri tasted fatafati, and the alu dum was yum. Best part - it did not have any gravy. Fuss free eating for the hungry soul.
Particularly speaking, I love their mihidana and sitabhog. My mum loves their darbesh, though I don't like it much.
We finished our meal with a tasty green sandesh. It was really soft and beautifully flavoured.
Here's to good mishtis and kochuris! 💕
Sen Mahasaya is one of the popular sweet shop brand.
**Location**
Located very near to lake market very near to Lake Mall entrance this place is easy to locate.
**Experience**
I have been very regular to this place as my aunt stays nearby. A wide variety in sweets available here and quite a big outlet this is. They serve fresh products and staffs are quite fast too. Famous for their Nolen gur products and Bengali rosogollas specially also like their Misti doi as well.
This is quite big outlet of Sen Mahashay, located right at lake market around the corner for the entrance for lake mall. Their sweets are truly delicious. This is one of those brands that have been maintaining its standard for ages. Love their rosogollas and nolen-gur er sondesh.
Wish the all the very best for their future endeavors!
Although market is taken by kamdhenu their but sen mahasaya and their ledikeni is world famous.suddenly passing though the lake mall I found their shop.I took ledikeni and it was awesm.I dont knw about other sweets because i havnt tried.
Im a bengali and got a sweet sweet, so I visit all sweets shops across Kolkata to taste different variety of sweets. Sen Mahasay Lake Market outlet is one of them. They prepare typical authentic bengali sweets of great taste and are of reasonable price. My favorite pick from Sen Mahasay is offcouse Rossogolla along with Kheerkodom, Chomchom, Kalojam, Mishti Doi, Rabri and Nolen Gurer Sondesh and Rosogolla during winter. Also i love their Mango Sondesh and Kathal Sondesh. Its really commendable that in this fast life and modern age, they are giving equal competitions with Gupta's, Tewari's and Ram's Bhujiyawalas and doing and serving well. Long live bengali mishtir dokan with their traditional and authentic bengali sweets.
This is an ageing warhorse.....an old sweet store or Mistanna Bhandar as they were known and still are in certain quarters.Sen Mahasay commanded a lot of respect and is one of the landmarks of the Lake Market. With Jalajog shutting shop they are reminders of a different age when on Pujas like Sarawati Puja and Laxmi Puja there were queues outside this shop.
The Mishti Doi is awesome here though I did not have it today.Today I restricted myself to Malai Chop and Rabri and sadly the Rabri was too watery by their own high standards. But the new breed of sweet shops have practically put these old success stories out of business. So it's all the more important to mIntain the high quality that they were known for once.

First time visited to there Shop for test the authentic sweet of Kolkata. I heard about a lot but today i was fortunate to go there and pick all sweet which was i liked. Without Singara Misti can’t be completed i think so that’s why i bought singara also.
Now talking about sweet trust me i have no words to express my feelings it’s so so delicious 😋
Singara again am spell bound.
And the most important part which was behaviour of the stuff. They’re very humble and polite. They guide me how to carry sweets properly.
Love to visit again and again 😊
The best darbesh sweet in town, period! While everything else is good as well, the darbesh always wins and has been so for decades.

Kolkata is famous for variety of sweets and misti doi. Sen Mahasay is one of the famous sweet shop in kolkata which carries the same legacy. Mihidana is a must try item.
Had only dorbesh here and it was good. But the rates seem overpriced. One dorbesh costed me Rs 30. People visiting kalighat temple and planning to buy traditional Bengali sweets can opt for this shop.

Came here on a recommendation of a friend we were visiting in the city and totally loved it. The place is an old establishment we were told and the folks behind the counter were courteous and helpful. The sweets themselves were the best I've tasted. We even brought back some for our folks here in Bangalore and they loved it as well. Will certainly come back for more.
A trusted name for many years, Sen Mahasaya has a good many outlets in kolkata. Since they stand for reliability where quality of their products and ingredients used are concerned, they are contacted for various weddings and anniversary celebrations. While sandeshes like Manohara Sandesh, Aam Sandesh, Ata Sandesh, Pesta Sandesh and Kanthal Sandesh are still immensely popular, other mithais like Mihidana, Darbesh and Lal Doi see brisk business, too.aam doi is a tasty desert available here in summer. It is liked by various celebrities.you can park your car at lake mall parking and you can shopping here. Savouries like Khasta Kachori and Vegetable Chop fly off the shelf fast as well. You can walk into any outlet of Sen Mahasaya to pick up any of their products and these will taste the same as in any other outlet, as all their products come from a centralized kitchen.overall food aroma and taste with secret process about 100 years old make them perfect and give a stage in sweet world.
Good Sweet Shop. Some sweets are high priced. Has been serving for many years .
The Mishti Doi and a couple of varieties of Sandesh are it's speciality.
