Few months back I was at this restaurant. They have comfortable seating arrangements. The area area is also quite spacious. Do we have order tandoori roti and Chicken tikka masala. The good was really good, the chicken pieces was not overcooked, perfectly balanced gravy. You could actually smell the freshness of the food. And when you place a small portion of meat in your mouth it will just melt in your mouth. It was a Lovely experience out there would love to visit again.
We ordered special butter dal tadka, Chicken bharta, aloo do piyaza, laccha paratha and garlic Naan. This was super delicious.
This quantity of food was amazing and taste was simply delicious. Food was freshly prepared and service was quick too.
Staff was extremely courteous and gave a great service.
Today I have visited Azad hind dhaba for the lunch. I have tried butter nun and chicken butter masala. The chicken was shredded boneless. Taste was above average the ambience is nice. Their chicken biriyani which my friend had troed was also very good.

It is rightfully said, Biryani is not just food, it's an emotion. Azad Hind Dhaba is one such place where authentic flavours from the North is served. They also serve Chinese as well. Last Sunday I met up with my old school friends at Azad Hind Dhaba, in Sector 1. The place is small yet quite comfortable for quick meet-ups. We started our Adda session with starters and finished with dessert. We ordered and tried:-
Chicken 3 Flavours Kabab Butter Masala (4.5/5): the kebabs come in Trio colour, representing our Indian Flag colour. Quiet amusing and tastes great too.
Chicken Biryani (4.5/5): the most flavourful melange of chicken and aromatic rice in one.
Kadhai Chicken (4.5/5): delicious, spicy & flavourful dish
Firni (5/5): must try from their menu.
Soda Shikanji (5/5): finished off our lunch with soda refreshment.
Overall, the entire get-together lunch with school buddies was made special and thanks to Azad Hind Dhaba for the hospitality.
Ticks all the right boxes if you are looking for Dhaba style food at reasonable price but good enough ambience.

This outlet of Azad Hind Dhaba is located near Bikash Bhavan.I have been to this outlet many times with my friends and family and the food served here are quite average but some items are really impressive though. Although this restaurant is quite spacious but in terms of taste, the food is not that great!
Nonetheless I really love their Egg Tadka & Chicken Reshmi Butter Masala ❤️

Chicken tikka masala: Absolutely lip smacking. 6 medium pieces of charred chicken in delicious gravy
Romali Roti: It was good, though I have had better versions
Tandoori Roti: Same as the case of Romali roti
Ambiance: Average
Service: Average
Pricing: Not so low, not so high.

Cheap yet tasty good for young college\school students who just want to party on a budget I recomend checking out the drinks they offer those are real good you should definitely try their fruit punch If you are looking for something fancy this is definitely not the place you are looking for

I've been here on my birthday. Perfect place for a hangout with friends. Food was amazing and equally pocket friendly. Loved the 3 flavored kababs. A must visit place.
The main thing would be the Biriyani. Just finger licking. I would definitely suggest the Kabab platters. The butter Chicken is definitely a must try.
To grab a quick lunch we visited this place and found this place crowded in a thursday afternoon. Waited for 5 minutes and grabbed a seat. The decor is minimalistic. The service is slow and staff is polite.

Mutton rogan josh - The gravy was tomato and curd based, perfectly tangy and spicy.Though wasnt rogan josh at all but whatever it was tasted good.
It is really a very nice place to dine out with your friends and family.... i have been going here for past few years... the really cook very delicious food.. there best dish is paneer tikka , crispy chilly babycorn , butter naan , kali dal , kadhai paneer , and electric blue mocktail .

Azad Hind Dhaba
You come here for the food and not the ambience. The ambience is trying to imitate the city version of a dhaba. The tables are really sticky and even if you ask the servers to clean its still gonna stay sticky. Though the seating arrangement is really comfortable.
Ordered Butter Naan, Paneer Butter Masala, Cheese Seekh kebab. All the items were vegetarian. We were eating slowly so after a while it was really hard to tear the naan. Paneer butter Masala was okayish. Cheese Seekh Kebab was delicious. I would recommend eating Naan while it’s hot.
The place has some items that are quite affordable while other most of the items are quite expensive. Service is good here. Servers are attentive and friendly.
Food is good with the flavours of Indian spices giving actually a feeling of Dhaba food. Interior is ok ok. Space is big so could make it more interesting. Serving can be termed as good.
This Dhaba surely deserves a lot of appreciation. It is spacious and beautifully architected. The Biryani , kebabs and crispy babycorn are to die for. And they serve varied mocktails ❤

Probably the best less oil Biriyani I ever had till now In just Rs.150 there are 2 pieces of Mutton and the muttons are tendourised and well cooked...Great ambience and the behaviour of the staffs are also nice....Overall I liked the food but there is only problem which I hated the most is the Air Conditioner in the restaurant which hardly runs in Summer seasons too.....And during these hot temperature it becomes really difficult to have the food out there......

Food was good and tasty. No complains reagding quality of food but service was a bit slow. Nearly took half an hour to serve the items. Also many items was not available on that particular day of visit.

Azad Hind Dhaba is definitely one of my favourite Punjabi restaurants. Food here is rich and full of flavours. Every bite of food is a huge treat to the palate! I have recently tried their Palak paneer and chana masala with rumali over a night’s meal! The chana masala is so delicious that I ordered the same meal for next two days! Looking forward to order more and more from here!

I personally know this eatery for 20 years or even more. Prices are very very pocket friendly. The service may not be A1 but the human touch in staff behaviour is always noticed. Their usp is Indian food. You may try out their dal tarka, tandoori food. They never disappointed me. You can order for home delivery service which is quite prompt.
It's a common dine out place for my dinners. I frequently visit here(both Sec V and Sec l branch). Sec V is little costlier. Food and the service is good.
During durga pooja when everything becomes expensive and packed, we went Azad Hind Dhaba which is totally affordable and pocket friendly place with great North Indian tastes. We ordered mashroom masala, kadhai paneer, tandoori butter roti, veg fried rice, two mocktails , one was some ginger having and other khatta metha with kiwi. The mocktails were really nice I liked ginger one more thought both were nice. The portion size is good. Being a North Indian cuisine restaurant the fried rice was good and gave a great Chinese flavour. A completely running place with great service. Nice staff, ambiance is not very good but okay. Until the food is good ambiance doesn't count that much and when the place is cheap as well. Will surely see to visit the place again.
Overall experience was good, only to the point that I will remember the taste of food tomorrow but will soon forget about it after a week. Service and ambience was great.
Good value for money no-frills restaurant. North Indian and Mughlai cuisine are their forte. Really good Biriyani, sarso ka saag and mushroom butter masala. A good place to satiate your after-party hunger pangs.

The restaurant is located in the heart of Salt Lake,right on the main road, Second Avenue.
They also deliver piping hot food to home.
Food was tasty as required. The staff was good and came to check your table many times and well behaved. Enjoyed the evening.

Overall good taste but service that needed to be improved a bit. I can say slow service. Talking about food, the taste is good, I tried Veg kadhai which I liked the most.I almost tried 4-5 dishes every day for a week. I didn't like the way they serve panner tikka masala, the dish has 3 slices of big cut size panner and full of onion petals. (I thought it is specially for specific dish but they add too much onion petal in their every dish )
Then I realize maybe it's their restaurant specialty instead of chopped onion they add petals, No gravy at all. let it be.
Moreover, the Strange things are they don't offer onion salad with the main course. You have to pay an extra 50-65rs for it.
Ambiance:- It's good but when all tables are occupied you cannot eat peacefully due to all the noise from each table because it's a small area with 7 tables in the salt lake.
