For a buffet priced at ₹899-1000 a must visit place. The food quality was very good and maintained across the board for all the dishes. The staff was friendly and the manager was attentive. I had gone for the Independence day Freedom Fest 2023. The selection of the dishes was very good with a good balance between veg and non-veg options. And a plus point is the buffet timing in that I mean that once you are in you can spend the entire time, unlike many places that put in place slot restrictions. Rate it a solid 4/5 and must visit atleast once.

Situated beneath Yuva Bharati Stadium, I sampled the restaurant's buffet and found the food to be excellent, offering a wide array of options, especially in desserts. Despite an unfortunate encounter with a small cockroach on the table, it didn't significantly affect our overall positive experience at this restaurant.
Hosted a dinner party for 30+ guests. Jayanta helped us with the pricing and venue details. The food was delicious- buffet had multiple veg, nonveg and dessert options. The service staff were professional, efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!
I would strongly recommend 1st Innings to the people who are looking for a pocket friendly buffet with a variety of lip smacking food. The starters, main course and the sweets were brilliant.❤️

First Innings has recently launched their late night special menu which includes sandwiches, pizza, pasta, burger, street specials, desserts, mocktails, hard drinks which you will be getting from 11pm-6am also along with the regular timings.

Last year november, we had the pleasure of dining at First Innings restaurant in Kolkata for their buffet lunch, and it was an exceptional experience. The extensive variety of dishes catered to every palate, with delectable options. The quality and taste of the food were outstanding. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring a delightful dining experience. The ambiance was comfortable and inviting, perfect for a leisurely meal. Overall, First Innings exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it for a satisfying buffet lunch in Kolkata.
Great place to go for buffet but the service needs to be improved a little bit.

It was a complete bliss. The foods were really tasty and a treat to the taste buds. We had ordered Chicken Tandoori, Fish Irani Kebab, Family Nan, Paneer Butter Masala, Mutton Biriyani, Egg Chicken Fried Rice, Schezwan Chilli Fish, Gulab Jamun. They did not give any chance to complain. Hospitality was equally good. A must visit for all the foodies out there.
The rating can be divided into many sub ratings but in a nut shell decent restaurant.
The ambience is good but not so great. You can have much pleasant and engaging ambience in so many other places. But keeping the price point [lunch & dinner solo 699 and couple 1299(mon-fri) and lunch & dinner solo 799 and couple 1499 (sat-sun)] in mind it's a decent one.
The most important or integral part of this restaurant is the Staff. That are really friendly and will take care of you the entire hour. A big shout out to the staffs.
The foods were hot, chicken hariyali was bit hard but later on they prepared me juicy hariyali chicken.
The palce is good, calm and quiet.

Main course are all good, specially the chicken kosha, and the dal tadka.
Desserts are too good except the pudding. Cheesecake worth trying.
