A second home for food, for peace and for the mother's touch to every dish. Whenever I am in town, I make sure to visit (sit and eat) or takeaway from this kitchen. God's kitchen is how like to call this place where the cooks, the servers, the utensils are all divine. Everyday a different menu, Sunday is special. Lunch takeaway per set costs 150. Typically includes 2 curries and 1 daal with 8 chapati and rice / papad. Add-ons can be ordered such as chaach, dahi, srikhand, mohanthaal etc A must visit if you are a vegetarian, enjoy gujarti cuine once a while and want elderly parents to savour something different

This place is know only to the connoisseurs. This is a Gujarati thali joint and food is mouth watering. I have visited this joint on "feast days-Sunday" and always relished the food. The Shrikhand and Dal Kachori is probably best in the town and owner Mr Srimali is very humble. This locality is surrounded with Gujju + Marwari community. On weekend, there are more people to collect food parcel than those who eat (Refer photo).. People carry BIG tiffin carriers and take home the meals. His meals sell like hot cake and rates are pretty reasonable like 160 bucks.. pls add inflation if you visit after a year or two. This is located inside gujrati samaj and has community hall too which can be booked by anyone for conducting ceremonies. The approach road is bit narrow and one may struggle for 4-wheeler parking. It's a pure veg joint

Nice place to be in...it has a good community hall in ground floor where various kind of functions are to be held. only con is it doesn't offer any parking space. if u want to drive a car here parking will be a huge issue. we attend many functions here . the washroom is not adjacent to the hall and its not clean . for women it will be problem .

This is Gujarati Samaj, not a hotel, so keep ur expectation level down. There r 2 types of room, 1200 rs each day (older rooms) n 1500 rs (new rooms). Food is good. But the best thing abt this place is it locality. It is nearby to every place you would like to visit in kolkata. Places like Viktoria memorial, Indian Museum, Kalighat Kali temple, Birla mandir, Iskon temple, Princep ghat, Alipore zoo, Eden garden, Netaji bhavan, Park street, Maddox square are all within 4-5 km radius. You can get yellow ambassador taxi easily from this place. Dakshineswar temple and belur math are far away from city, but you can get a Metro from Ravindra Sadan station which is just walking distance (if u like to save money). If you are Jain, then there is a Jain Samaj nearby with even better rooms and much cheaper rates.
