Well I tried their chicken fried rice mix fried rice chilli chicken and chicken Manchurian and all I can say is the food is yum... Will surely try it again and y'all should also try their food... My recommendations are the given above
The food according to the price is really delish! And the items are really pocket friendly according to the quantity of the food. Must try the chicken egg fried rice, and garlic chicken.
D'Ley is one of the oldest Indo Chinese restaurant in Barra Bazar area. They sent me Chicken Fried Wontons, Egg Fried Rice and Veg Clear soup. Wontons were great. Soup was tasty and Fried Roce was also okay. It's a great budget restaurant if you want to feed many mouths.
This truly is a worthy place for pork lovers. Not for people hoping to find good decor, it's only and only for good food. The quantity is absolutely wholesome and worthy. Plus the combo of pork foon mee mein and roasted pork fried was really great. Foon mee mein was on the sweeter side and roasted pork was on the spicier side. Loved it.
This is heaven for pork lovers and authentic Chinese taste.
I had ordered their roast chilly pork 4.5/5 in taste and really well made with crispy bits of pork bell peppers and chillies. Not too spicy and yummy.
Their pork gravy noodles is also good. Generous portions of pork and veggies. The portion was also huge and although a bit low on spice add a bit of soy sauce n vinegar and it should make it better. Taste 3/5.
One day I had ordered their fried rice n chicken combo online which was really dissapointing though. Better to go there and eat.
Their pork in hamchoy sauce was really bitter and came in a pink funny looking gravy. Should be avoided. 2/5 in taste.
They also serve Chinese breakfast and you can have Chinese sausages to order. People in the next table were eating it and it looked good.
One of my favourite food joint for sudden chinese cravings!
Favourite items
- Roasted Chilli pork
- Chicken chowmein
- Pork noodles
-Mixed Noodles
- pork chilli
- Momos
I have also tasted chilli fish but did not like it at all. That was more like a sauted a fish ball using I donno which fish they exactly use . Definitely did not taste good. It smelled pathetically!
Rest are very tasty.
Value for money!
Easy to place an order and it will take 30 mins to satisfy your craving.
Pork items from this outlet is a must have!
RECOMMENDED. ✌🏻

Frankly speaking I had no idea of D'Ley, until I was becoming disappointed by the downfall of Teritti's famous Chinese breakfast and my friend informed me regarding a new seperate breakfast joint at Territti/Teritta/Teritti. I must say it's a hidden gem in Chinese restaurant collection of Calcutta.
We went there for breakfast, and had Chinese steam bao, Sui Mai, Sui Pao/Chinese Pie and Moon cake. Taste wise they are very much authentic. One must taste their regular and more chilly sauces with the food. You can also buy sauce from them. Price wise D'Ley is very much pocket friendly.
It would give a homely ambience. The pork dishes are really tasty. Service is quite fast.
One of the oldest restaurant in Kolkata its a hidden gem in Territi... Tried pork fried rice and garlic chicken it was super tasty they have many other dishes which you can go and try. Do visit.
Craving for dinner on a christmas. Our criteria was
>To have good food
>Some peace away from the crowd
>Not to wait in line
Due to all these parameters a foodie has to find out a decent reasonable place eating where you can define as value for money, and boyaa did'nt fail at all.Food was well-cooked in Authentic Chinese Style from Yam Mein to Roasted Fried Pork, none of which dissapointed us be it quality or quantity. If you are an ambiance freak with good food as optional, sorry not for you🙂.
I ordered the food over phone to have it ready for me to take away. I ordered chicken foon mee mein and mixed yaam mein. The fanciness of these names caught my attention.
The eatery was plain and simple with the fair chinese man with a paunch fiddling with his phone. The walls were adorneď with swiggy, zomato and uber eats stickers.Luckily they were preparing my order.
I paid through paytm. The involvement of technology in our day to day life to make life easier is appreciated.
I asked the difference between yam mein and foon mee mein to the owner. He replied yam mein is steamed noodles and foon mee mein is sweet noodles
I had to reheat the food since I stay quite far away.
The chicken foon mee mein was very dark in color. The color that will make you feel guilty towards your health. The dark color was not entirely of soya sauce though. It could be honey also.It was sweet but not overtly sweet.I passed it on.I could not eat much of it.
While writing this review, zomato asked me what did you dislike about this place and the first option was foon mee mein.
The mixed yaam mein was totally opposite and it was white.I presumed it would have a bland taste but it was garlicy. It had ample chicken and prawn pieces.
Portion sizes for both the items were good.
I cannot recommend the foon mee mein at all and I will totally recommend the yaam mein.
Got a suggestion from a friend !! Checked out the place.. It was one of a kind experience!!
From the look of the restaurant I thought this can be a bad idea... And then the food came and it was really good!!
The place is worthy to check out
The quality of food are very nice. I eat in this restaurant formany years but nothing has changed much. I always have roasted chilly pork and pork hakka chowmien. It tastes so nice. Its a must have for me. Though the space of the restaurant is not very big but the foods are awsome over here. If visited do have the roasted chilly pork its a famous dish here.
Authentic Chinese place. Thanks to Zomato that they get my food delivered too.Great Pork items and wantons are also good.
For delivery purpose, good quantity and great taste, always. Never failed to impress.
Small, not at all a cozy ambience.. No ac as far I as I can remember. But the food was really good... Run by a chinese family.. We had:-
#Roast Pork Fried - Loved it...
# Mixed Hakka Noodles- Loved it too...
#Phai Kut(A pork gravy prep.) - i dint lyk it dat much coz it was too salty n kind of bland... Id love to go back again to try more pork dishes n others...
This is one of the best places to eat tibetan and chinese foods. A small place with a handful of people but the with an exquisite taste of foods. I tried hoi sin chicken which was full of flavors. The chicken was delicate and juicy. Pork pan fried noodles along with egg pan fried fried noodles were marvelous. Specially the deep fried chopped porks with proper marination burst into the mouth with flavors.
This place is a cosy one. It serves the best Chinese dishes. The price is also quite affordable one. The mixed fried rice and garlic chicken is my favourite one. The mixed fried rice contains pork Prawn as well as chicken and it tastes heavenly. The garlic chicken that this restaurant serves is also a must try for everyone..
We had mixed fried rice and a pork dish here. It was my first pork experience, and may I say, it was absolutely delicious. It's a heaven for Chinese lovers who offer budget quality Chinese options.
Also the owners here are a Chinese family, and hence, there is a pure Chinese experience waiting for you in the restaurant.
If there is something more than five star review I would give that to my beloved "D'Ley" restaurant... if someone is very cosy about the ambience or if someone is looking for good ambience then I would request you to do not go there... because this place is not about ambience this place is about best bestest food ever in Kolkata.... this is the best Chinese restaurant in Kolkata yes I would say that because I have eaten I have been there many many times since childhood have been eating from this restaurant and I would never never never ever say that this is bad..... I know this place hasn't reached that much Fame because like any others restaurant they do not do advertisement but good food doesn't need any kind of advertisement yeah that's true if someone is willing to have good food good Chinese food then this is the place yes this is the place..... Highly highest recommended
Best place for pork. Their dishes are truly mouth watery. I visited there with my friends many time. The most exciting part is that my girlfriend and me both prefer D'ley for a date over any places in Calcutta.
Ordered through zomato some pork dishes.
The packaging was nice and order came quickly.
The food was well cooked and warm. The quality of pork was also good. Nice experience! Wanna try again
Place is good .... But the quantity should be more(as I'm expertise in different parts of pork).... This is an old place.... But still good for its good service and food.... The first glimpse on the entry of the restaurant will make you feel how good this old restaurant can be being such a gold.... As always old s gold😊
Orderd two Chicken Fried Rice and one Garlic Chicken from here. The delivery was fast. The packaging could have been a little better, the food was warm though. The Rice was really good so does the Garlic Chicken. The quantity for both the rice was good, there was 8 Chicken pieces in the Garlic Chicken. Liked the overall experience.
One of the best Chinese i have ever had. But this place is not for the perfect dine out thing. But their food quality & quantity both are too good.
Ordered fried chicken wantons from D'Ley. 10 pieces of crispy wantons. It was perfect. 😊 There was an offer by Zomato and delivery was just on time.
Think Chinese.......Think D'Ley
One of the oldest restaurants in Kolkata & certainly till date one of the best place to eat authentic Chinese cuisine without burning a hole in your pocket. Previously it was a big restaurant, with a huge seating capacity, but as they couldn't keep up with the growing pace of the city, the main area of the restaurant had to be shut down. It's a family run restaurant, and the person who sits on the cash counter will give you the first thought of the pride & legacy the small restaurant holds till date. It is located opposite Poddar Court beside Pou Chong Store, and please do not go by the looks of it, it's definitely worth a bite at this heritage Chinese Restaurant. The seating capacity is of 20 people approximately & there is only one waiter who takes care of all the guest.
Items Ordered: 1 plate Mixed Hakka Chow
Pocket Pinch: Rs.150 (Including GST)
The Mixed Hakka Chow was probably the best Mixed Hakka Chow I ever had. There was proper amount of veggies, mixed with chicken, shrimps & egg in each bite. All the veggies & meat were fresh & there was no hint or smell of rotten items in the plate. The noodles mixed with all the veggies and meat was simply delicious & there was exact amount of spices in the Mixed Hakka Chow.
Apart from the Mixed Hakka Chow, there are other dishes which I had, when I visited before. Some of the highly recommended items are Chicken Wantons, Chilli Pork (Highly recommended. Probably the best Chilli Pork in town) & Chicken Dragon Roll (Highly recommended. Probably, only served at D'Ley).
Cost for two: Rs.500 approx (Including GST)
There are hardly very few restaurants which have survived the modernization era & still serves one of the best dishes in town, in quality, taste & quantity.
If you are in or around Burrabazar area & want to have a great lunch or dinner or even a quick bite, this is the go to place.
All I can say is...Old is indeed gold!!
Food was very homely with very little preservatives and tasters .I enjoyed it very much. We ordered for wanton soup and Singapuri Hakka Chow. It was enough for two people.
D'ley is located near Poddar Court just opposite to Kolkata improvement trust building, adjacent to the Teritty bazar BSNL bhawan. It is very near to the famous chinese eatery Tung Nam. So we (count four) visited this small chinese eatery this last Christmas. Basically there's no ambience to speak of. It has a sitting capacity of 10-12 people.
Coming to the food we opted for :
⏺️Egg chicken fried rice
⏺️Hoisin chicken
⏺️Fried chicken wontons
The Fried wantons were good, liked it. The quantity of the egg chicken fried rice was more than enough for a single person. They suggested the dish hoisin chicken, personally I liked it and it also went well with the rice. Though found bones in couple of chicken pieces when we thought it was actually a boneless chicken dish. Portions are large.
Gst was not inclusive it was added later in the bill though. Overall a good experience. Do pay a visit if you like chinese food without burning a hole in your pocket.
Was searching for some good, pocket friendly Chinese eatery that serves pork. Came across this place as I was passing by Territy Bazar. The area is small just like a small eating joint. Thought of trying just 1 dish and see how it goes. Hence i ordered Roast Chilli Pork and it was very delicious 😋 This is not much of a popular place on Zomato but the 'Roast Chilli Pork' is a must TRY and i can't say about other dishes but i have a hunch it will also be good.
The location is Territy Bazar to be precise and the map shows exact location and just 2 mins away from Central Metro station.

The taste is amazing ! We had ordered chicken yaam mein( we usually go for the more authentic noodles, that's why this instead of Chow mein), roast pork fried and chicken Manchurian. All of them had flavors galore, but, what really knocked our socks off was the roast pork, it was truly amazing. 4 instead of 5 because the brilliant pork was a little less in quantity !
Its a wonderfull place. Many people dont know about this place. But this is actually a good place to have good chinese food. I have tried their soups, noodles and other dishes, each and everyone tastes good; not like other chinese places where all dishes almost taste the same🤷🏻♂️. Its a small and lovely place. The kids also roam around and it feels as if you are having food in a chinese household.
I like the feel. I like the food. Its a womderfull place. Love this place.👍🏻
thank you for making the experience so comforting. cheers
Have been reading quite a few good reviews about this on zomato for a while. So went ahead a order from here last night through swiggy.
Ordered a pork yam mein, and chilli pork.
Packaging was good, and food was flavourful, and tasted good too. Quantity was also fine.
But the food was extremely oily, even though I called the restaurant at the first place itself to inform them to make the food less oily.
Giving a 4 star only because of the really affordable prices.
You can try out this place for once or a few times if you wanna have pocket friendly Chinese, but beware they make food extremely oily.
Tried pork chowmin and garlic pork
pork soft and nicely well cooked
chowmis taste awesome
garlic pork is dammmm tasty
But they take too much time for delivery
This is a perfect place for Chinese lover... Quantity and quality are good... Dilivery on time... Testy food.... Staff are always good in behavior.... Pokect friendly also👍
This small eatery is one of the best places to have lip-smacking Chinese at an affordable rate. I haven't visited the place physically, but as this place is in the vicinity of our college we often get our lunch delivered from this place. Regarding my experience:
Food: Simply superb, specially their pork dishes like roast chilli pork. We ordered Schezwan chicken fried rice, roast chilli pork and hunan pork. 1 portion of any dish is more than enough for 2 persons with medium appetite. A special mention once again for the chilli pork. The perfect ratio of meat to fat and the spicy flavour creates wonders...
Ambience: Can't say as I haven't visited the place. But don't expect anything fancy, given the location and the price tag on place.
Service: Zomato delivered the order promptly and in proper state. Diptarghya Majumder
Best quality, best quantity, best taste in very little price. Mix gravy chowmin and roast pork fried is the best item here. Other pork items are also very good.
Ordered home delivery via zomato !!
we ordered -
° mixed fried rice
° chili chicken
Quality of the food was good. Flavors bursted in my mouth. Quantity was sufficient for two people.
price was also reasonable.
happy fooding 😊
Oder for chilly chicken and chicken fried rice d'ley restaurant to 14/09/18.this restaurant very quick service and awosame test.thanx d'ley and tomato.
We were going through the delivery apps and came across this eating house, the pictures captured a rustic joint with no airs and graces just wholesome authentic home cooked Chinese food.
i read some of the negative reviews and what people need to realize that we in Kolkata are all in love with Tangra Chinese which is has over the years adapted to the taste of the host city. The old family run small restaurants and eating houses cook up the plain authentic flavours of their home land. I personally like both schools of the cuisine.we ordered PORK WITH MUSHROOMS AND VEG , YAM WANTON, CHICKEN SWEET CORN SOUP & FRIES WANTONS. Without a doubt the yam wantons were awesome, and the quantity of pork in the pork and veg was pretty good. It was refreshingly simple and delicious food, not oily or spicy but full of flavour. I was presently surprised with the quality and quantity for the price.
Will surely order again.
Yesterday, we ordered their food.
• Chicken gravy noodles -120
•chicken fried rice -110
• chilly chicken (8pcs) -140
• chicken wanton (10pcs) -100
Our bill was 520 including all those packing charges..
Quantity of the food was a lot.. It wasn't possible for a single person to complete one plate alone...
Their gravy noodles is a must try .
Sufficient amount of chicken was present in both the noodles and the rice.
Wanton pieces should be a bit bigger but it is absolutely satisfactory for the amount they are taking for it.
Chilly chicken was tasty!
Am a regular customer of them. 💕
Small Chinese eatery run by a Chinese family. 5mins walk from the Central Metro Station. The food is quite good. Ordered the Roast pork and Pork Yam Mein. Both the dishes were good. Quantity is sufficient too. Would love to visit again and try the other dishes.
If you love pork do visit this place. Pocket friendly
Nice.. Food is really good. Authentic Chinese food
We ordered chicken steak chicken hakka noodles pork Manchurian

D 'Ley is an old school Chinese eating house located within close vicinity of Central Metro Station(Tiretti Bazaar Street). The décor was quite ordinary, albeit, the food was marvellous. We tried the Chilli Pork,Prawn Yam Mein,Mixed Fried Rice and Fried Wontons. The Chilli Pork was scrumptious especially the Gravy variant. The Prawn Yam Mein refers to Tossed Prawn Noodles which bears a distinct aroma. The Mixed Fried Rice is light and quite filling too.The portion size is pretty good-2 plates can easily suffice 3 people. You should try out the Fried Wontons which consist of Chicken/Pork filling seasoned with garlic and onion. The only drawback is the small sitting area comprising of 4-5 tables.Service is quite fast.Prices are quite reasonable.Well if u want to try out some authentic Chinese dishes and wish to explore beyond the Park Street area, do give this place a visit.
the old chinaman could be found seated at the eatery even today as ever before, silent and lost in thoughts - ineffable perhaps like the Chinese alphabet. time has stopped here.
beyond food, beyond hospitality, beyond authenticity - the place is a relic of pure love - throbbingly alive amid the familar streets of my bustling city.
Yeah this is a great place the Atmosphere is good though the place is a bit small still the food quality is really good I refer my friends and colleagues to visit this place more often....If anyone wants good quality and quantity food in cheap price then please visit D'Ley kitchen
We ordered just two dishes for a quick bite in between a packed pre-lunch & post-lunch work schedule - Chicken Cantonese Noodles & Dry Chilli Chicken (full plate 14 & half 8 pieces if I may recall correctly) - simply outstanding! No nonsense Chinese food cooked the "Chinese" way......good helpings for two persons. Ambience - more like a non-A.C. "cafe"/"cabin" of central/north Kolkata......value for money coupled with real good food is the only USP of this joint......
I'm so glad to find this place. The delivery scenario near Shyambazar is still poor, and finding this place, serving near Shyambazar too, was like finding a hidden gem! Well I ordered in from Swiggy, so my review is based on it's food solely.
I ordered a Mixed Gravy Noodles, along with a Schezwan Chicken!
Quantity of both the dishes were really good as per the pricing.
The mixed gravy noodles was full of chicken and prawn, and tasted high quality, i was amazed at the quantity and quality from such a shop. Next the Schezwan Chicken was full of flavours, and tickled my taste bud! Hats off to the chef, he must be a great one! Looking forward to other famous dishes of this joint, namely the dragon chicken.
The old eating house of Kolkata.. still run by an authentic Chinese family will welcome you there. We went there near about 4.45pm nd the place was empty expect nd by the time we gave order people started to come. With Google Map it wasnt much of a problem to find out the place though it was really small nd you could've missed it anyhow.
We ordered Fried Wonton, Pork Hakka nd Thai Soup.. nd the steamy hot soup stole the show. With mushrooms inside it tasted so creamy. The wantons were okayish nd the hakka chow tasted very nice in the first place nut slowlybit lost the charm as it was very oily. But with the ample quantity of pork in the hakka made it worthy of a 4 star rating. For a student like us should give a visit for authentic chinese dishes. :)
This place is located near Poddar Court, on the way left hand side while moving from Tea Board to Central Metro Station. It is a medium sized restaurant, and however is not air conditioned, and there is not much in the interior ambiance to speak of. But for such outlets, ambiance is not something that should be used as a yardstick to judge their worth. It will be unfair to do so, in our humble opinion. So let us move to the food. We ordered Egg Chow (hakka and gravy for two), Hunan Pork and Chili Prawn. The quantity of each of the items was really more than adequate. In fact, we should have actually ordered one Egg Chowmein dish to be shared between two persons, since the quantity is quite more than sufficient for one person. The Hunan Pork was decent, and was medium spicy. The stand out dish, for us, was the Chilli Prawn. We will not be doing justice if we dont have a special mention for this dish. It was optimally cooked, and was great in taste. In fact, it would be better to say that the taste of this preparation did exceed our expectations. The entire cost was Rs. 600/- for two, and so it was pretty economical indeed. Now, at this price range, not a lot should be expected. But, for a reasonable cost, this place did indeed cater to the basic necessity of hunger. And it did so pretty well. You will have a decent lunch or dinner here, and it gives proof to the fact that even though we are living in the age of modernization, where good ambiance and sleek interiors greet our arrival to any well known restaurant, such humble places are still fighting hard to survive. These outlets might not have what it takes to advertise their presence, and nor to give you a rich ambiance, but what they can offer you is old-world charm- something that is pretty hard to find in the fast lives we live nowadays. So, we hope to explore more such lesser known places in and around the city, and we also hope that such outlets continue to offer us good food and survive the test of times.

Visited this place as Tung Nam was closed and read good reviews about this joint..Restaurant is difficult to track...No ambience..Food is good and reasonable....Run by a Chinese Family as is the norm in Tiretti Bazaar which has a Chinese community living here for ages...I was suggested Roast Pork which was good...A lot of fat in the Pork though..Mixed Fried Rice was good...Large portions.Do give it a try .
Another authentic Chinese joint which is not much of a burden on your wallet. The service is quick, food very cheap and out of the world delicious.
I had the Phai Kut and the Mixed Yam Mein. The portions for both were huge and it needed two people to finish it. The Yam Mein is tasty and the meat was well cooked. The Phai Kut was so good with pork chops and pork sausages roasted and cooked in a thick gravy along with some veggies. It is extremely delicious as well.
The place definitely leaves you wanting to come back again. D'Ley is one of the hidden food gems of this city.
One of the best chinese restaurants in Kolkata. I ordered Mixed Fried Rice, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Sweet and Sour, Chilly Chicken. All are very good.
Ordered twice from here for our office lunch. Tried chicken fried rice, chilly chicken, chicken gravy chow and roasted pork fry. Each and every dish tasted very good. Quantity was huge. The best item was the roasted pork fry! It has become our favourite now. We opted for home delivery so no idea about the ambience. The service is quite fast and the food was served piping hot.
Perfect Chinese restaurant in cheaper price... Food quality is too good...I am always a Pork Fan so I recommend every pork dishes in D'Ley... The place is little bit small but the quality of food is awesome though....
Good food at cheap price defines this place. However the fish dish that we ordered was a bit smelly. The pork and chicken dishes were good too. However the pork had a lot of fat which couldn't be eaten. Quantity was huge. One plate of fried rice or meifoon can be easily be shared between two or three people.
Lovely food. Good quantity. Homely people. What else do you need?
It's a small eatery in tiretti bazaar. Very near to central metro. You might just spot it on the right footpath while walking from central metro towards tiretti bazaar.
The pork dishes are exquisitely done. Absolute bliss. And also, one can blindly follow their gut and order anything off the menu and I bet they won't be disappointed.
On a cold winter Sunday, D'leys served us a hot delicious porky lunch.
Lip-smacking, yummy..... & so full of flavour...
Pork wanton soup
Roast pork fry
Pork meifoon
pocket pinch 420/-
The food here is cheap but damn tasty. The sweet and spicy Singaporean rice, the balanced hoi sin chicken were very delicious. But when we came in a hospital like funky smell came from the adjacent kitchen. Maybe phenyl or something, it bothered us a bit. Apart from that and ordinary decoration, it was a fine experience.
The Poddar Court area has a pretty sizeable Chinese community, and as a result, a good number of small Chinese eateries serving great Chinese fare without burning a hole,in your pockets. D'Ley is one such joint, located in the busy Poddar Court area. A small place, it is very easy to miss it if you aren't actively on the lookout for it. The interiors aren't much to speak of either. With just a few tables, it was a seating capacity of about 20 or so.
Then came the food, the highlight of the entire experience. We started off with crispy chicken wontons and the interestingly named Saturday Chicken. The wontons were classic and just as they should be, crispy on the outside with succulent chicken on the inside. The only downside? A bit too greasy. The Saturday chicken turned out to be pieces of chicken coated in thin wonton strips and deep-fried. These were delicious too, the crisp of the wonton contrasting well with the still-juice pieces of chicken. Both dishes were served with a hot chilli sauce which helped to cut through some of the grease and made it even better.
Moving onto mains, we ordered a pepper chicken, a roast chilli pork and pork phai kut. The pepper chicken was a flavour-bomb and loaded with the heat of pepper. It might be a little too to hot to handle on its own but tasted marvellous combined with the rice and noodles. The roast chilli pork, thew signature and must-have dish of all Chinese eateries like this one, was pretty good too. Lean meat with not too much fat, sweet onions and crispy bell peppers, it was a pretty good chilli pork, albeit not the best one I've had yet. The Pork phai kut, basically pork ribs, on the bone, in a sauce which I guess is mostly based on oyster sauce was pretty good too, although I found this dish to be the weakest of the three. We paired these dishes with a plate of rice and a plate of noodles. Both were good, but I tended to like a the flavour of the noodles just a little bit more.
Service is quick and unpretentious,, just as you would expect in a place like this. And the value for money is out of this world, again very characteristic. If you are in the area and looking for a place other than Tung Nam to try out some good ol' Chinese food with an emphasis on pork, D'ley is a good place to try out. Recommended.
I'm usually very picky with my 5 star rating, but this place deserves it. D'Ley is a tiny place hidden somewhere in Black Burn Lane, about 3 minutes walking from Central Gate no. 6. This used to be our regular hangout spot during my undergrad days in Presidency and I still visit for their absolutely delicious food.Having exploited almost every thing on the menu, I'd recommend the Chicken Wanton Soup, Pork Fried rice, American Chopsuey, Pepper Chicken, Chilli Pork, Sweet and Sour pork, Chicken Steak and Fried Wontons. I think the taste is even better than the 5star Chinese restaurants out there. They have generous portions, too. Three can have a meal in two plates. Bonus, you get to meet the cutest little Chinese kids if you manage to go around 2.45-3pm in the afternoon.
Another much popular Chinese Eating House in the Tiretti Bazar area. You can stop by for a quick lunch and the price won't bother your wallet much. You can try any of their dishes, though sometimes they can be a tad inconsistent, unlike their very closeby neighbor, Tung Nam. But, that doesn't mean I am giving any discredit to them.
Try out their Pork dishes (if you like/eat them, of course) apart from the usual Chicken, Prawn and Fish items.
In picture: Steamed Pork Wantons & Dry Chilli Pork (I am a Porkaddict, btw)
Wonderful Food. Very sincere Hospitality from this Chinese family.
Homely atmosphere. Most importantly very authentic Chinese taste in food we can get here..
Really a gem... Situated just opp to sing cheung sauce co. in between central metro and ezra street. Went out for lunch . Ordered chicken fried rice and hunan chicken. Both the dishes tasted great, specially the hunan chicken, which was spicy and little mintish flavour was comming out from it. Its a must try... ambience wise you will find nothing.
As the city is seeing a violent shift from the old nostalgia to the perks of the modern metropolis, It is the fate of old school restaurants that awaits. Like single screen cinemas, these small joints are soon being replaced with swanky franchise restaurants.
One such place that i fear will not survive the test of time, is D'ley.
Don't get me wrong, i say this in a negative manner. D'ley is an absolute gem of an eating house. While its more famous cousins Eau Chew and Tung Nam reap their names, this place remains more obscure, undeservedly so. D'ley deserves flocks of people outside its doors.
Ambience is not that impressive, but neither is that a high point of any of the reputed old fashioned joints of the city. If the ambience itself asks you to turn yourself away, please do, because this place is not meant for you then.
Now off to the food, One ginger prawn, one veg mei foon, one mixed yam mein and one roast pork fried
The ginger prawn was better and cheaper than other outlets. The prawns were rather large in the manner that the prawn balls would have the occasional prawn sticking out. A delight nonetheless, with sweet hints complimented by hints of pungent ginger.
The veg mein foon was ordinary. no better,no worse than other places. but for the cost, the quality and quantity surely wins.
The same for the Yam mein, but only the latter part. The Yam mein was doused with giant pieces of chicken, pork and prawn that was a welcome change to the miser quantities of the said stuff given in other chinese places around the city. The noodles were dripping with flavor. a must if you ask me.
the roast pork fried was succulent, chewy and fatty, tossed in a gorgeous fry of onions, peppers and chilli. sure to make any pork lover orgasm, this will be the highlight of my trip there.
I implore you to visit the place. if you love food, you can't go wrong. if you love restaurants, stay away because this is a small family joint.

I found this restaurant while searching for authentic Chinese restaurants in the city. And finally we visited this place yesterday. We ordered crispy chicken, pepper chicken, Sichuan pork and Singapore rice. Both chicken dishes were very good, especially the crispy chicken. Singapore rice was also very flavorful, with ample amount of chicken and prawn pieces. My only complaint is with the Sichuan pork. Although it was very flavorful and aromatic but the pieces of pork was too chewy and quite tough. That is only why I am giving this restaurant 3.5 star and not 4 star. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience. And I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Good chinese food at reasonable price.....all the food are of good quality and u must try the crispy chicken the best. Its very cheap and goof food is available
Food - Underrated.
Ambience isn't much of an option as this is a tiny outlet and not even a restaurant, it's an eating house. So if you believe in food first, this is your place. Best to visit during winters as it isn't air conditioned and there are less fans.
Meal is worth the money and you'll be surprised at the quantity you get cause one plate is easily enough for two.
Other than ambience, nothing else to ponder on.
The Food is one of the best Chinese I have tasted in Kolkata. To be precise, one of the best Indo Chinese.
The Decor or Ambience was'nt exceptional, quite okayish. We had ordered Hong Kong Chicken, Shanghai Chicken and Pepper Chicken, along with Schezwan and Singaporean Fried Rice. Everything was so lip smacking. Love the food.
I love the pork dishes here , next time I'll order the yam mein and char sui . Today I ordered a hot and comforting plate of sweet and sour pork .
Both food and quality is very good. Would recommend this place if you want to have authentic chinese dishes at affordable price.
If you are looking for a fantastic dining experience, then look no further than D'ley! I recently visited this small restaurant and tried their mixed Hakka chowmein and Shanghai fish, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The food was prepared expertly and tasted amazing.
The atmosphere at D'ley is cozy and calm, which creates a welcoming and relaxing environment. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel valued and taken care of.
Overall, I highly recommend D'ley to anyone who wants to enjoy some quality food in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. If you are in the area, this small restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I will definitely be back soon!
This is a small Chinese eatery in Teritti bajar area, easily accessible from metro (Central station, Poddar court exit) & from Central avenue.
Had their roasted chilli pork with rice.
Excellent - will come again soon in a team for a better exploration.
I have been visiting this place for many years. With the same calm ambience, mouth-watering food, and amazing quality-quantity, is one of my favourite restaurants in Kolkata. They are consistently serving good food at an affordable price for many years. So, it's a must-try. My personal favourites are momos, wontons, lemon chicken and pepper chicken.
A small, cool yet Impactful place for Chinese Cuisine enthusiasts... Lots of amazing food options and great service!! A must go place I must say!!
I've been eating at this place for probably 20 years now. I keep on going back for the nostalgia. However, in recent times, they have decreased their quantity and increased prices manifold. The charm of the old D'Ley is now lost for me. What drew me towards this place almost everyday is now missing.
Very old authentic Chinese restaurant. Food quality is very good. It is very apt for home delivery/ take away since the sitting arrangement is very limited and minimal. Recently, they have stopped taking online payment (even UPI) which is definitely an issue.

Food quality is very good. One of the oldest Chinese Restaurants in Kolkata.
Last few places left in Kolkata serving authentic Chinese food. An eatery run by a Chinese family where Chinese people too have their regular food. Not an elaborate restaurant but a small eatery where the authenticity of the Chinese cuisine is the attraction.
Great Chinese restaurant near Poddar Court area. Price of each and every item is very much reasonable. Great quality food and taste wise excellent. The portion size of every item was good for one and half empty stomach. Must try dish - Roasted Pork, Hunan Pork, Mixed Fried Rice, Hakka Mix Noodles.
The food is really good and quality it pretty standard.
The place is nice not very fancy or decorated and has dining space for about 16 people maximum.
The taste and quality of the food is what has been prioritised over aesthetics. The price of the food is also reasonable and pocket friendly.
A meal for two will cost around 700-800, which would include a starter, a main dish and a side dish.
The service is prompt and the staff are very friendly.
A must visit place if you enjoy good Chinese food.
Tasty food at reasonable price. Awesome
One of the best Chinese eating houses in Kolkata. Cheap and top notch authentic Chinese cuisines.Dont miss the wontons.

Very near to another legendary eatery of Tung Naam. You get authentic Kolkata Chinese food. Reasonably priced and the taste has remained the same after all these years.
Went twice here, once for the breakfast menu, once for lunch. I'll be posting just the lunch here, even though the breakfast menu is really good as well.
We got the pork wonton yam, chicken steamed momo, prawn hakka noodles, chili pork, and fried roast pork. All the items were really good, starting with the simple flavours of the wonton yam to the heavier pork dishes. The sauce with the momos is pretty hot, much to my liking. The only drawback I'll take was that the pork could've been softer.
It's also not too expensive, so bonus points there.
This was our first visit to this place. We had ordered Roasted pork rib, Nasi goreng and Roasted chilli pork. Each and every dish was lipsmacking and beyond our expectation. We had tried every dish in Tung nam so wanted to explore more. This place has amazed us in every way possible. Must try their pork rib.
It's a small food corner opposite to poddar court and next to Pou Chong outlet. Food was okayish and quantity wise I found it little less as per the price. 12 people can sit at a time. You can go for a one time try to this very old Chinese joint in that locality.
