This sweet shop is very close to my heart as when I was small I used to visit this place every evening to have sweets and still now my liking have not yet changed
It's melt in the mouth sweet... The naram pakh and jal bhora is one of the best I ve eaten , mind it... I've a sweet tooth as well as I'm fussy... So believe me, when I say.. It's too good. Better than few renowned sweet shops. Winters are here.. And I'm looking forward to eat the gur mithai.
One of the bestsweet shop of Kolkata lovely awesome variety of sweets one of my friends suggested this place lovely quality n delicious taste highly recommended place
Love their Chitrakoots. In fact their Rasgullas as well as Mishti Doi are worth a try. Enough said!! Do try their other items too. Overall an underrated super performer.
I can proudly say that I have developed a sweet tooth solely for this shop. The Pantua, Rasogolla baked and the traditional one, the Malai Chom chom, are heavenly. Their Chinese Singara is also amazing. But what I like the most is their Mishti Doi. I am insanely in love with them. Do give the doi a try and you will not regret it.

The sweet shop named "Narendra Mistanna Bhandar", actually belongs to the same owner as that of "Bangasree Mistana Bhandar". Located near Anwarshah Road Crossing, at South Russa Road, this place is a descent shop to chomp on some nice sweets on the go, and to pack some for takeaway as well. In recent times, they upgraded it to air-conditioned, which is an added benefit.
located near bangur hospital, this shop is quite famous for the ridiculously soft and succulent rosogollas ...keeping with the changing times it has increased its repertory to include fusion sweets like baked chamcham, baked rosogollas and baked mihidana... well all these are sinful to say the least....go indulge in your sweet fantasies.....
This is a shop which provides quality sweets at right price.. They are at bar or sometimes i feel, better than the big fame counterparts .
Its located opp to the gate of Tolly club. There is ample parking space and you can park in front of the shop itsel.
Try their baked rosogolla and benchmark with those from the Big name starting with B... narandra is better any day.
I like their mishti doi too.
narendra has the potential to be a very big name, Whenever I need sweets in bulk, i go for narendra sweet.
Location: A few meters ahead of Prince Anwar Shah Crossing towards Tollygunge Metro Station.
Narendra Mistanna Bhandar, an old Bengali Sweet Shop has been serving the people of Kolkata for years now and has been helping them satiate their sweet tooth desires. Earlier, counted among the hidden gems, this sweet shop used to be one of the most frequented ones in town, but, as time passed it has failed to cope up with the fast-paced modern life style who wish not for deliciousness but sophistication and has thus, been neglected thereafter. However, the quality has also somewhat degraded to a certain extent. This place has an array of sweets to offer along with a few snack-type savory options. TRIED the following from what they had to offer:
- Samosa
Was crunchy on the outside and had a flavorful filling of sautéed mashed potatoes and peanuts. Nice to taste.
- Soan Papdi
The soan papdi had a bite yet, simply melted once inside the mouth. Delicious.
- Chocolate Sandesh
Wasn't as great as the ones I have already tried. But, wasn't bad either. Decently tasting sandesh with a slightly sour aftertaste thanks to the chocolate syrup in the middle.
- Baked Rossogulla
Parceled it for home and it was loved by all. Recommended. Soft rossogullas having a balanced sweetness baked along with nolen gur. Delicious.
The STAFF was found to have a lethargic conduct yet, were friendly.
PRICES were found to be reasonable.
Overall was a nice experience.
Typical parar mishtir dokan located near Prince Anwar Shah Road more. I frequently visit there as its very much near to my home for taking sweets for my own home to while visiting any relatives place. They prepare typical authentic bengali sweets of great taste and are reasonable price. So good is the quality and product used of their sweets is that sometimes we order in bulk quantities from here whenever there is some occasion in our house or locality such as dugra puja, etc. My favorite pick from Nrendra is offcouse Rossogolla along with Kheerkodom, Chomchom, Kalojam, Mishti Doi, Rabri and Nolen Gurer Sondesh and Rosogolla and Baked Rosogolla during winter. Its really commendable that in this fast life and modern age, they are giving equal competitions with Gupta's, Tewari's and Ram's Bhujiyawalas and doing and serving well. Long live parar mishtir dokan with their traditional and authentic bengali sweets.

This shop is associated with some childhood memories of a 'parar mishtir dokan' and needless to say that I have visited this shop for a lot of times. Good to see this place at Zomato. The Kochuri and the Alur Dom is heaven and for a great completion of the breakfast, the kheer kodom, the chhanar jilipi and the kalakand are the musts.
Do not forget to get some Mishti Doi from this place as it is one of the bests in South Kolkata.
I never thought a day would come that the friendly neighbourhood 'Mistanna Bhandar' or sweet shop would be eligible for a review.
Mistanna Bhandars are a dying breed. The new age shops like Gupta Brothers and Tewari have practically driven them out of business in central and south kolkata and the ones that are thriving are the metamorphosed ones like Balaram Mullick.
Hence no mean credit to Narendra for running two successful shops within stones throw of each other.
Malai chomchom, kheerkadam, rasagolla, mishti doi and every other authentic kolkata 'mishti' worth its name.Reasonable prices.Very good taste.Fresh produce. And you have a winner in hand.
I found this place quite by accident as I was looking for some medicine and live five minutes away so decided to check out the medical shops around Bangur Hospital. Did not get the medicine but end up eating great Puri with Alu Dum and tucking into pretty good Kheer kadam and Kalakand. Now from time to time this is where my sunday breakfast comes from ;-)
Great outlet for take away of the " Radhaballavi With Alu Dum" ... Bengali sweets are nice too !
Located at the junction beside MR Bangur hospital is this good shop..prices are comparatively reasonable compared to today's increasing prices. And all the sweets are of real good quality. You will get puri in the morning and samosa or kachauri in the evening. Good shop.. and a very old one. Misti Doi is also their speciality
As a first time visitor I tried their Ghewar and it was great. They say, "if you are in LMB you should have the Ghewar" and it was indeed awesome. They maintain quality and cleanliness. Must try if you are in Jaipur.
Quality traditional sweets and snacks available. A very old shop is newly renovated and an air conditioning system is installed for the comfort of the customers. They also make fusion sweet.
Best sweets quality taste price 😋

The baked mishti doi and gurer sandesh were great. The people in the shop were helpful as well.
Now this is the place where each and every item is delicious and YummY 😋..
Must try option- Dalpuri/Kachori, Aloo Dum.. is very tasty, not too spicy, not too sweet..
Next Items are Misti...
Misti is very fabulous fried with 'Gawa ghee'. That is why price are bit high.
Each and every type of Sweet is very delicious.

Absolutely the best Sandesh that I have eaten in Calcutta.

The prices are a bit more as compared to other shops in the area but the quality is nonetheless good.
