Beautiful place in old artistic Calcutta . You can see its run with passion, with the owner brewing your coffee, preparing your food and playing the music, creating that rustic cafe vibe you could not find anywhere else in the country.
The place is quite and perfect to spend some quality time with your friends or loved ones. I loved their coffee and cakes. It was a perfect evening.

They have the best coffee in the city and by some distance. Both the espresso and the cold brew are impeccably done and is a delight to have. The Ham & Cheese Waffles are to die for with the correct salt balance. A cafe par excellence, thanks Rahul for the place ,the food and the coffee
What a cafe !! Really a hidden gem in lake garden ,near ak ghosh school . You can't expect this type of cafe in these days in Kolkata. Totally a different culture with foreign cafe glimps! You can come here and chill or study or gossip with your friends . They have very interesting interiors,you come and check out. And they also have a real large coffee brewing machine ,not the usual ones. Bonus: they got a nice outdoor seating also !! Definitely give a visit.
The best cold brew in town. I also had the mushroom waffle, very tasty. Finally a cafe that has some character. It's quiet and not too crowded, great ambience, unique collection of books and art.

The coffee here is superb. They take a lot of care in making and sourcing the coffee. The food is simple but really tasty - it complements the coffee pretty well. Would specifically recommend their salami sandwich which was quite good. Together with the minimalist decor, this makes for great place to chill. Would totally recommend it.

I am a lover of places with innovative decor, varying range of coffee and soothing ambience.. Therefore this book-cafe was love at first sight. The options for small eats were not many but the one veg salad we ordered was worth it's price. The main attraction of this rustic place is it's unusual collection of books and artpieces on the wall. The owners are themselves the cooks with praisable hospitality.Want to visit there again with a bunch of friends..Nice outdoor sitting is available for smokers.
I love this place. The coffee is amazing, the vibe is so chill, banging music and a curated, rare photo bookshop with gorgeous books. I will be back on my next trip to Kolkata!
The coffee is amazing, freshly brewed and as strong as you can take it. I had a sandwich with a cold brew and it felt like I was somewhere in western Europe. The cafe itself is cosy and stacked with photography and art books. Could have spent the whole afternoon there.
They serve the bestest cold brew in town and also their music playlist is an absolute winner! I love love love this place! Lighthouse Cafe is a mini time portal and you will be transported to a different place and time sitting here in Kolkata, trust me ❤️

Awesome cafe run by great people, the cold brew with tonic was absolutely amazing and they had some great things on the menu. Rahul and Georgie where incredibly friendly and helpful as well. The place was very chilled out and is a great place to get some work done or read a book.
If you are looking for an authentic one of a kind coffee, then this is the place for you.
Tucked away in a bylane of Lake Gardens, the Lighthouse is a hidden gem and one of a kind in its own way. The menu is small yes, the food items are very limited, the coffee being the main highlight. If you are looking for a place to have a big group hangout, then I think you might be disappointed to an extent. But if you are looking for a day out by yourself, with a nice book maybe, or a quiet conversation with a friend you are meeting after a long time- you might be amazed at how homely the place can make you feel. The minimal decor, the warm lighting, only adds to the cozy vibes. And did I mention they have excellent coffee? Well they do, and it's not an overstatement.
Although it was only my first visit, I will definitely go back again. And yes, I will most definitely recommend the place. Do give it a try.
If you are looking for quiet and peaceful ambience where you can read or do your work or just enjoy your cup of coffee without all the chaos that's mostly present elsewhere... then think no more! The cafe specialises in their coffee and serves you food made out of high quality organic ingredients. In their spread they have a variety of sandwiches and coffees and cakes.
P.S- You can take some idea on how to upcycle things from their interiors.

This is one of my favourite cafés in Lake gardens! Very nice decor and interior and the food is too good! There is a variety of coffee options and the deserts are excellent!
My favourites are the Margherita 2.0 pizza (with added chicken), cold brew and their Tiramisu!

The interior is AC and there is seating arrangement in the balcony too!

The place is a little expensive than a regular coffee house but the taste of their food is extremely worth the price. The cafe is located in the South city mall area.
We tried the blueberry pancake with classic mojito and chemex.
I personally loved the place. It has a very photogenic atmosphere and each corner is full of instaworthy shots.
We couldn't try any sort of coffee as the coffee machine was not working but I hope it was a one time thing and they would serve me coffee in my next visit.
The behavior of the staff was everything. Obviously a 5 out of 5 star service and behavior.
There is little to no knowledge of what good coffee looks like at most of the generic 'machine made' with the cheapest coffee beans .
The craft coffee scene in Kolkata is picking up and this is another place that tries to offer you a 'specialty coffee' experience.
Choice of brewing methods is limited to Chemex and Pour over and they have 2 blends (1 for dark and 1 for medium roast). Having said that, I had a Chemex one, and it was decent. Slightly bitter(probably over extraction) and not bad at all. Wife had the hot chocolate which was nice and not overloaded with any syrup.
The ham and cheese sandwich was excellent and their herbed bread is superb
The place itself has a pretty outdoor open seating space and a limited but quirky indoor space with an exposed brick wall design which adds to its retro Vibes.
Unobtrusive and fairly quick service, great food and decent coffee. I would recommend this place!
Cool Ambience... Prices are a bit high... Not at all pocket friendly. Nice place to spend the evening with your loved ones... We choose to sit outside as the ambience is quite romantic with low lights and few corners will give you a magic like feeling. It's a very small cafe. Prices are comparatively much higher than the standard price of these cafes... It's need to be taken care

Amazing place to go out with your friends and family.. very well decorated.. they've used each corner of the plot so aesthetically. We had Spanish cheese omelet (comes with two slices of bread) with Oreo chocolate shake and cold coffee. Don't know why we had to wait for more than usual for our food to be served.
If you want to explore this cafe you may pay a visit during the evening..with all the lights and shadows the place looks more attractive and beautiful.
