A small yet satisfying fast food joint near Landsdown crossing. The place may look a bit shabby and unhygienic, but this is the ultimate place for an evening snack after you enjoy your casual evening walk in the Lake.
We ordered,
1. Boneless Chilli Chicken: The 8 batter fried chicken pieces were prepared in a thin spicy gravy, an Indianised style of chilli chicken. The gravy though thin, was delicious and flavourful. The chicken pieces were ample for 2 of us to share.
2. Mixed Noodles: The Mixed Noodles were separately served into 2 for us. The quantity was impressive and the quality was good too. There is something new and unique we observed about their Mixed Noodles. The noodles were prepared with Egg, Chicken and Mutton pieces. Now, Mutton is something that is not added to noodles in most places. But this preparation though a little oily, was different and savoury.
And the best part is, we spent only Rs. 125/- all inclusive. If your funds are low and you desire good food, then this place is a must visit.
If your budget is a bit low this place could be one of the best places.. This place offers you tasty food in less price.. You should try the Chinese in this restaurant..
On 5th April 2018 We Were Heading To Our Home Palm Avenue...So I Felt So Hungry That I Visited This Place Bangasree Restaurant, Bhawanipur...For The 198th Time...Located Near Landsdown Market Area...I Ordered 1 Egg Roll For Rs. 25/- It Was Delicious And Yummy As Well. Thank you Bangasree Restaurant For Making My Day Enjoyable.
This small dingy Restaurant is very closed to my heart. I used to have lunch on regular basis till 2012 till my office shifted. Nothing special to mention about the ambiance nor the decor but I can definitely write a nice thesis on their food quality. Extremely pocket friendly restaurant with option of mughlai and Chinese food. My favourite is Chicken leg curry with Basmati rice which cost less than 80 bucks. If you ever get a chance do visit this small restaurant.
THE BEST DRIED CHILLI CHICKEN EVER!! if you like it extra spicy please give it a try. they also sell pretty good moghlai paratha. it is extremely pocket friendly. it is mostly a takeaway place. seating arrangement is poor

I've seen people who can't even spell restaurant criticize this place saying it's horrible!! Well we must understand that this place isn't meant for luxury dining. It is mainly a take-away outlet, with a few tables for people who like to have a little something on the go.
Now, this used to be my go-to place during my college years, when I used to live near Maddox Square. Almost every other evening I used to buy an egg chicken roll, or have a fish kabiraji here. Me and my PG mates often used to order fried rice and chili chicken for dinner, or just plain steamed rice and mutton for lunch. The taste is great, but the food is very very affordable. You won't find a place easily in South Calcutta where they give you egg or chicken rolls at such cheap price.
Even the mutton curry is relatively cheap and quite tasty. The kabiraji and chicken pakoras too. The momos are delicious and finish very quickly. I think I have had almost every item on the menu in my 3 years of college, and it was all worth it.
This is a small Chinese restaurant, permitting only takeaway, located near Lansdown market next to the UBI ATM. Being a small roadside joint, I had never thought of having food from here, as there are better options in the vicinity. But when a friend of mine suggested this place, I decided to give it a try. I took home a parcel of chicken fried rice n chilli chicken. Well, if u r expecting the food to taste like that in a dine in restaurant then just forget this place but at such a cheap price, this tasted far better than what I had expected from here. The rice was fragrant with generous chicken chunks. The chilli chicken was great, though somewhat extra spicy. The combo of both was great. Also the quantity of fried rice was more than enough for me and the chilli chicken had around eight large chicken chunks. Overall, the food was really nice. Would try the other dishes next time !
A small restaurant as well as a take away counter. The food here is really good and the price is very affordable. The quantity of fried rice and chowmein is very much satisfiable. Home delivery is also available. Also if you want a quick bite, this is one place to be in.
This one's not for the "classy" ones. A small take away counter located diagonally opposite the southern samity ground. This place serves decent quality food specially if you consider the price. It is extremely extremely cheap. Rolls, pakora, fried rice are some of the items that I personally like a lot. The gravy chicken dishes are okayish.
Overall it's a decent one, but as I said not one for the "classy" people.
i was a student of st. lawrence high school. this small resturant was very close to my school. i have been there many times . always ordered for mixed fried rice and chilly chkn. the dishes are quite good at this rateone couldnt expect more. still now whenever during durga puja i go to madox square i have some food from herewhen your budget is low this is a place u would be searching for
Having snack and major meals from this next door restaurant for the last 2 decades. The present owner is my childhood pal and he had successfully reformed this joint in the last 20 years. Delicious dishes (Indian & Chinese), reasonable pricing, friendly staff are few of it's good qualities. Bangasree Restaurant undoubtedly is among the most popular food joints in it's category. I wish they'll come up with a bigger place soon, where families can visit and celebrate food. It's just a hole in the wall at the moment and hence it's more of a take away counter.
This is a place where i used to hangout with my friends after school…just another pocket friendly place for school students like us…and the food is above average…
i LAABH this place not because me and my girlfriend come here every other day but because the food is simply amazing ...if you are a big fan of "indian" chinese food you will simply love this place...their are explosion of flavour every time you put that lip smacking schezwan paneer in your mouth it just melts...i am personally big fan of the manchurian rice you dont need a side dish along with it ,the flavours are divine. now the best thing in the menu according to me plain rice and chicken curry...without doubt the best curry ever ..it goes well with anything you name it . i asked for the recipe they handed me a coke instead..sweet people no??? every time i go there i forget about my diet and just jump in the food ( you know what i mean ).

It is one restaurant when ch u cannot miss cheap rates but costly taste some of best bong food made here but the place is a bit untidy;!!!
If you want cheap but tasty take out Chinese, or muglai snacks, then this is the place for you. Definitely not a place to eat out at, but an excellent affordable take out option. Friendly staff and awesome food along with the cheap food makes this one of my fave 10 restaurants in the city. Mind you, only for take out. Do not dine in.

Budget friendly restaurant in kolkata. Here you can get many food items. Food quality is moderate. Pricing of food is quite low. Low price good food. Seating area bit small but good for 2 or 4 person. Good choice for small group of friends and family too. It's located near Maddox square, kolkata. Overall it is good restaurant for limited budget. Do come visit and enjoy your food.

A small restaurant... stuffy and hot inside. Compared to the quantity of food served ... it is cheap. If you're looking for a good meal at a low price this is the place to be. Chinese cuisine offered here is really tasty ... apart from that moghlai paratha, fish fry are also quite delicious. Good for takeaway... there is also a roll counter.
