Visited thsi place along with others in the Zakaria street area during Ramazan.
Completely blown away by the aritistry shown in making the delicate suta kebab. Minces of mutton are added on a stick which and a string is tied around the meat so that it doesn't fall off during cooking. What brilliant minds!
The flavours are truly balanced and not at all overpowering, which makes thios dish a pure gem. i also recommend their boti kebabs which are equally insane.

Ramadan or Ramzan at Zakaria Street, has been a heaven for food lovers. During the Ramadan days, Zakaria Street turns into a crowded food market place. The Nihari and Haleem of Sufiya, the Mahi Akbari , Chicken Changezi and Falooda of Taskeen , the Kebabs of Dilli 6 are some of the iconic must haves and have made themselves to the hall of fame of Zakaria Street.
We took the famous sutli kebab. It was delicious. Though the price is high according to quantity. Still it tasted good.
This is a 103 year old shop in Zakaria street which is famous for sutli kebab and boti kebab. I went to this place with one of my friend to try out both but could only get sutli kebab. This shop opened at 3pm and they had only beef sutli kebab. Sutli kebab as the name suggests, is made out of sutli(thread) but the best part is you won't find any sutli while the kebab will be served. Because while they extract the kebab from the seekh the sutli stays with the seekh. They serve an entire seekh with salad and lemon.
And yes the taste is just out of this world. A very small place on the street will give you a plate of heaven to eat. One seekh of beef sutli kebab costs us only 60 Rs.
Next time my target will be boti kebab which they said starts from 5:30-6pm.

The Shop is renowned for its Suta and Boti Kabab. The Beef is mashed, mixed with spices, and tied with 'suta' (translation: String) on long iron sticks. This meat is then smoked over coal to cook it into kababs. These are tender, juicy and of course, delicious. Prices are quite appropriate with respect to quality and quantity.

Situated in phears lane, this small shop is famous for their beef suta kababs. They now make mutton suta kababs also. From the last Ramadaan time, they have increased the prices, which i feel, a bit on the higher side. Apart from that, the taste of the kebabs are good. They make the kebabs infront of your eyes, with a separate line for beef and chicken. They serve the food in steel plates with green chutney, chopped onions and tinge of lemon.
The kebabs were awesome. I loved the same and would like to place the order again. I would love to recommend the same for my friends too. It was awesome experience
I came here for 2nd time and ordered as usual beef suta kebab which is very good.
They don't serve spoon and after eat washing hands is a real problem here.
As it was almost 9:30 PM so didn't get Chicken Malai Kebab which is also very good.

Finally Glad to see Adams kabab on Zomato, this kabab institution is been there for over 5 decades I presume more or less. Unmatched taste, texture, scrupulous flavours many of its old patrons believe that their spice blend and proportions is a family secret. My entire childhood and teenage days I spent eating Adams suta kababs but I have reminiscences of buying kababs for rs 5 for a seekh somewhere in the year 2000. Last week I visited this place indeed the taste hasn't changed or altered.

কেন মশাই?? বছরের বাকী সময়টায় কী ওনারা বানান না, নাকি স্বাদে ঘাটতি হয়!!

সারা বছর যে সুতা-কাবাব ৩০টাকায় একটা শিক বিক্রী করেন, তা রমজান মাসে করে দেন ৬০। বলে রাখা ভালো, আগে ছিল দাম ২৫টাকা। জাকারিয়ার গলিতে খোঁজ নিলে দেখা যাবে, ২০টাকা শিক, অন্যান্য দোকানে বিক্রি হচ্ছে।।
কিন্তু পরিষ্কার কথা কাকা, এই স্বাদ আর কোত্থাও নেই।। একদম স্বর্গ।।

As you all know, they only have two items majorly consumed. Suta Kebab and Boti Kebab.
#SutaKebab- Minced beef marinated with secret spices and grilled in charcoal, wrapped in a metal rod with thin threads, to keep the texture intact. Finally served with onion rings, green chilli and lime. And its taste like heaven.
But BUT BUT, TRY TO AVOID THIS PLACE DURING RAMADAN, BECAUSE OF THE CROWD AND THEY ALSO DOUBLE THE PRICE DURING RAMADAN AS WELL.
#BotiKebab - Beef chunks marinated in some spices with ecstatic flavour and grilled in charcoal.. This crossed my expectations..

Words are not enough to describe this place. This legendary shop serving amazing beef kebab is located within a small confined space at Phears lane. Following Google map will be a wise decision to locate this place, 10min walking from central metro station. This place can be located from far away by a huge cloud of charcoal smoke comming out of the small space. As soon as you reach, you can see that a old man teing some minced beef in a skewers and grilling it over the charcoal. The purpose of using a thread to tie the meat, is that they do not use any binding material in their marination. As soon as we take the first bite, the meat just melts in our mouth with a very complex and subtle flavour.
Now let's talk of an underdog, that is theirs chicken boti kebab. The amount of tenderness and flavour in it is just unthinkable. Undoubeltyl the best kebab we had ever.

This place is famous for its kebab and for its age old tradition and cooking style. Though I am bit a beef person so I tried their chicken suta kebab and chicken boti kebab. And those were amazing. Suta kebab was too good . Kebab with its malai flavour was wonderful and that was also well cooked. Price was reasonable and quality was good enough to share.

We were at the famous Adam's Kebab, a small hole in the wall shop located in Phears Lane, it's a 5 minute walk from Central Metro. This 150 year old shop specializes in Suta and Boti Kebab.
A man sitting inside, makes Suta kabab by wrapping minced meat & spice mixture around a metal sheekh, tying it with a cotton thread & then grilling it on a barbeque pit. Once the kebab is grilled to perfection, the thread is removed and it's served with onions and green chillies.
We tried their newly included Mutton Suta Kebab. It was soft, juicy and flavourful! The Mutton Keema - half meat & half fat, the spices, the smokiness due to grilling on create a heavenly combination, that is hard to resist.
Tried their sutta kabab and boti kabab - meat was so soft just like melt in your mouth. Double sutta kabab costed 60 rupees per plate while boti kabab was for 50 rupees a plate. It’s definitely worth a try if you like kababs.
On a Ramzaan Monday evening, visited this place for their speciality. Suta Kebab.

Got 1 Suta Kebab and 1 Boti Kebab.
The Boti was no where near the SUTA kebab. For Rs 60, expected a slightly more quantity. Quality wise it was top notch(9/10). Was too hungry to click the food. The Boti kebab (7/10) was also good.
Zakaria street is not for strict hygiene cautious people as they might find the open roadside cooking a hygiene discomfort.
If you are reading this, do you know whether Adam's Kebab is open throughout the year or not? , because it's not a stall but a Pukka shop.

I discovered this couple of years back in the month of Ramadan and it's a small kebab joint near Zakaria Street. No sitting available whatsoever.
Apart from that I had their beef suti kebab and Boti kebab.
Beef sutli kebab was tender mince beef pieces marinated with spices and then tied with a string around a sheekh and smoked to perfection. It its then crushed on a plate and served with lemon and chilli .
Boti kebab is 1" pieces of beef chunk. Perfect amount bof spice blend truly ensure burst of flavours in your mouth.served with lemon and chilli.
Whenever near Zakaria Street I'd like to go back there over and over again primarily because the taste of both the kebabs are soooooo good and also the prices are freaking amazing..
Also now they have mutton variants too.
Visited this place yesterday with friend of mine.
By the we reached boti was sold out so only sutli kabab was left.
We tried sutli kabab amd I must tell you it was freaking amazing.

One of the oldest kebab shop in Kolkata. In the eve of Ramadan, we had gone there. Too much crowd was there. After coming our number, we took malai Boti kebab, sutli kebab.. both were tasty, but I wouldn't say excellent. 4star they deserve.
Already had the itinerary of the Zakaria Food Walk and this place was on the top of the list. And it surely matched its expectations. Don’t go by the size of the shop. One of the best places for Sutli Kabab and Boti Kabab. And sorry for not taking the photographs since we just dived into it and finished in a second. Butter smooth kebab and cost wise too its quite cheap.

Adam's kebab Shop is well renowned for their Boti kebabs and Sutli kebabs. Coming to the food, we tried their Chicken Malai Kebab, which was very well prepared and tasted great. Then we had Mutton Boti Kebab, which again was great in taste. It was fulfilling too.
The pricing is very low, so great value for money. I'll be trying their Sutli kebab the next time. Can't wait. Overall, a great visit.

A hole in the wall shop that will blow you away with its delectable kebabs. We went there during the Ramadan and were happily surprised by their ever so mild and fragrant Boti kebab and their signature Suta kebab. They also sell other varients of chicken, mutton and beef kebabs on a shoe string budget and these people were one of the most trusting and welcoming bunch of people I've seen in a long time. So if you happen to be in the area and don't mind experimenting and give it a try.

Went there during 'Ramjan' & it was really crowdy. We had to wait more than half an hour to get our portion. We tried their famous 'Suta Kebab' & really it was great. But I believe what they charge (rs. 60/-) is not justifiable considering the quantity & the price of the nearby shops. Recommended though.

It is a very old kebab shop in Zakaria street. I basically went there with the help of Gmap.
We ordered sutli kebab from there. They served that in a cardboard plate with some onion rings, a green chili, a small cut of nimbu & with some chat masala.
After tasted that I understand why from a long period of time without decorating, without adding any more eye blissed chandelier or adding any more proper sitting they are running, that is taste. It was beauty, to be truthful I just forgot to take any picture of that kebab after tasted that. I ordered twice but it was heaven, so I forgot.

Suta Kebab-- Like any other kebab, the Suta Kebab too is marinated in spices and then grilled on a bed of charcoal after placing on skewers. But the charm of the Suta Kebab is that the meat used in the kebab is mashed till it is almost minced and in order to hold the now texture-less minced meat on the skewer, it is bound lightly by strings around the skewer which are removed before being served. Location : This small shop of Kebabs is located in phears lane. Just a 5-7 minutes walk from Central Metro Station. The area is very busy and filled with lots of people, so traffic in this narrow lane is huge almost for whole year.

I. Suta Kebab : 4/5.
Basically its not a typical kebab, minced beef is suitable word here in this case. It comes in a plate with some onion rings and a quarter portion of a lemon. It tasted awesome.
II. Boti Kebab : 5/5.
It was one of the best kebabs i tasted in my life. It was mouth watering. One or two plates of it were not sufficient to us. But, due to bad situation described below we couldn't had much of it,
It was ramzan time at 4.30 p.m and traffic was huge. We literally had no proper place to stand, people there almost hit and then can go through the place and at that situation we were having these kebabs :D . The weather was also very hot and it was a high humid day. So, just think how tasty the kebabs were, we almost forgot about these things having nice warm kebabs. Highly recommended for kebab lovers.

We ordered 2 plates of their famous Suta kebab (sutli kebab ).It was an amulgum of mashed awesomeness, tasted heavenly and melted in our mouths. The best kebab ever i tell you. We packed some more for home but ended up having it on the way.We also tried their beef khiri kebabs.it was succulent and juicy.they serve their kebabs with diced onion and chopped green chillies along with a piece of lime and its enhances the taste.
Aahh, thee kebabs!! So delicious! The shop is small in size in a narrow lane. Famous for Suta and boti kebabs. Only Rs 50 per plate. Must visit. But do visit within 6:30 in the evening.
I went this outlet in the year 2017 with few of my colleagues. We had the famous suta(Sutli) kebab, Those were awesome, Just melt in the mouth. Hope this year will also go there by sometime. Need to get there by 7-30 pm. else you may miss the dish.

This place has the cheapest and the tastiest kebabs I ever had in my life. Just one word- AMAZING.
Try their suta kebab (beef) @ 25 and I am sure you would never want to leave this place again. Their chicken tikka kebab @ 30 is also extremely well prepared and unbelievably tasty. No seating area,no ambience to talk about,nothing great about the service(2 grumpy people keeps making and serving the people) but still, it deserves every bit of the 5 star rating for it's heavenly taste and such a cheap price- afterall you don't judge a street food shop by its ambience or service,do you? They serve their kebabs with a generous amount of onions and chillies and a bit of lemon..which makes them tastier- the chicken kebabs comes with pudina too..all at 30! It's hard to believe that in the heart of the dingy Zakaria Street,is an hidden gem that can put resturants selling kebabs at rates ten times higher than theirs, to shame. Never believed such a small(almost a place that can be easily ignored if you don't know about it's legacy :3) could impress a Moghlai lover like me so much.
Will definitely visit this place whenever I visit central Kolkata again and I believe,no one who once tries their kebab,will pass this place or this Street without tasting their kebabs, again.
Why will they,when you can get some world class kebabs at dream rates?

Absolutely delightful kebabs. Mouthwatering sutli kebabs which melts in your mouth. Must visit if you're in the viccinity. They sell it as per stick or per plate of kebab which is 25 INR. Gulp down as many as you want. Get down at central avenue gate no. 6. Walk past the maharana Pratap statue towards tiretti but don't go till tiretti, take the first alley on your right, at the end of that alley is adams
This place was on my list for the longest time since I had started to have beef. The sutli/suta kebab was exception, something I've never had before even though the quantity is scanty and so is the price. 25 bucks only.
Location: take the lane opposite to the Tropical Medicine Dept of the Calcutta Medical college and walk till u reach a four way junction. Now Take the lane to your left, walk for a minute and find your destination on the right hand side.
Food:
* Beef Sutli/Suta kebab: (25 bucks for a seekh) Beef mince wrapped around a seekh and then tied up with a thread. Roasted upon charcoal grill right in front of your eyes. Smells awesome, tastes divine. Yet, some might complain about the portion size which is agreeably less but then just look at the price too!
* Chicken Boti kebab: (40 bucks)
Chicken chunks marinated with yoghurt and spices, roasted on a the same grill as the Sutli kebab. Yum is it!

The Beef Suta Kebabs here at Adam's are what dreams are made of. If you have ever been to Zakaria Street during Ramzan, your first stop would have definitely be Adam's. The Kebabs melt in your mouth like bundle of joy. Minced beef grilled to perfection binded by a cotton thread, at 25 a plate, heavenly stuff! Their boti kebabs are gorgeous too! All about heritage and nostalgia.
A must visit place for boti kababs and sutli kebabs. People say greatness emanates from humble origin and this place perfectly embodies the quote. An entirely takeaway joint, but offers complete value for money and tastebuds.

A very pocket friendly hidden gem food shop of Kolkata. They're famous for beef kebabs. Suta kebab is ₹25 per plate only and boti just ₹30. Squeeze the piece of lemon onto the soft minced meat, eat and reach a level of ecstacy. Fantastic taste. No sitting arrangements though. But who cares. Any foodie will love to have a walk here at Phears Lane.

It is really nice to see there are some things which are still maintaining standards. I was in Kolkata after a gap of 6 years and homed in to my favorite kabab joint. Nothing has changed - the same busy area, the same narrow street which I have to foot as cars can't make it and gloriously the same lovely kababs, The price has gone up but still at Rs. 25 a plate it is nothing.
I only hope and pray that this iconic eating place remains there for the next generation
নাখোদা মসজিদের কাছেই খুঁজে পেলাম এই 'লুকোনো হীরে'। কাছাকাছি থাকলে "আদাম'স কাবাব"-এ একবার ঢুঁ মেরে আসতেই পারেন সুস্বাদু সুতা কাবাব আর বোটি কাবাব খেতে। দাম?? যথাক্রমে ২৫/- ও ৩০/- মাত্র।
বি.দ্রঃ গো-মাংস দিয়ে বানানো হয় এই দুই কাবাব। সন্ধ্যে ৭টায় দুটো কাবাব পাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা বেশি। আগে হলে বোটি কাবাব পাবেন না, পরে হলে সুতা কাবাব পাবেন না।
Adam's kebab shop is a little shop setup in phears lane very nearby nakhoda masjid. Situated in a very congested place where you would observe a common man weaving his art of skewering beef paste into delicious drool worthy boti kebabs. They specialise in making sutli/suta boti kebabs made out of beef.
A plate of suta kebab comes at Rs 25. The portion of kebab is quite commendable for the price charged. Chopped onion,chillies & a piece of lemon is given with the kebab. The kebab is too die for simply because of its taste & texture. The kebab was cooked to perfection in the chulha & flavours were spot on. The texture was very similar to galawti kebabs which just literally melted in our mouths. A must visit place if you are in this area

This place may surprise visitors who find themselves in this claustrophobic lane in the central part of the city. It shouldn't. Adam's Kabab shop played a pivotal role in spreading joy among numerous beef lovers for over a century!
This place intrigued me on my very first visit today. I arrived near Phear's lane where the streets are jammed with carts and the smell of burnt meat cut through the humid Kolkata's very own "pocha-bhadro".
I knew my first stop: Suta Kebab (or, as they prefer to say "sutli" kebab) since the meat portion is held together by a thread (hence the name)! This food joint ( a rather hole in the wall) sells only 2 types of kebabs, nothing else! One is suta kebabs and the other more meatier variety boti kebabs. The moment I put the tender meat into my mouth, it's where I have just had an epiphany! What I tasted is an alchemy of the highest order. "This is how kebabs should be made..." said the man behind the magic (a direct descendant of Md. Salahuddin). And I couldn't agree more!
Now I realised what the hype is all about. It's worth it! My final epiphany came by the time I boarded the train: Kebabs are much more than an indulgence. It's an art form!
Only two items on offer - Suta and Boti Kebabs, both beef, simply divine......take-away only.....available only for four/five hours in a day from late afternoon/early evening.......if you miss out, be prepared to be thrown into eternal hell on Judgement Day!!!!!

Don't judge a book by its cover! Adam's Kabab shop at Phears Lane is a so-small joint you can miss it 90% of time unless you knew it.
It's one of the best Kebab shop in Kolkata and definitely a hidden gem. They serve only beef sutli kebab & boti kebab. They grill it, and serve it. You can eat by standing on the road (no seat arrangement) or pack it to home.
Coming to kebabs, I had only sutli kebab and it's umm... heaven!! Hygiene freaks stay away!!
Chandrima Banerjee accompanied me on a rainy evening and got introduced to the best suti kebabs the city has to offer. The 700 m walk using gmaps starting from rabindra sarani- zakaria street crossing on the last ramadan evening was worth every penny. If you do beef, this is your mecca.
A very small, easy to miss shop in Phears Lane. They serve suta kebabs and boti kebabs. We only had the suta kebabs as boti kebabs were all finished within 7. The suta kebabs comes for ₹25 a plate(sheek) with onions anf a piece of lemon. The kebabs were absolutely mind blowing. We each had 2 plates within minutes. It just melts in the mouth. Most likely to visit again.
They serve different kebabs sutli kebab, boti kebab, malai kebab, rumali ruti. Chicken beef mutton as per your choice. Beef are prepared and served in front of the shop. Whereas chicken mutton are prepared and served inside the shop building space. Served with green chilis & onion. It attracts huge crowd hence take time and go.

ADAMS KABAB here you can get the most Reasonable price And good quality kababs. I had a BEEF SUTTI KABAB. It's taste good ,coocked properly. and it cost only 60INR . Accroding to the shop if you visit after 5pm every item will be ready and served with different kind of chutny . Other wise the food is nice,good and very reasonable.

One can have a taste of Suti/ Sutli kebab (a kebab which has a cotton thread wrapped while on the flame) at Adams on Phears Lane. It is perhaps the only place in Kolkata to taste the heavenly delicacy. In a small indescript shop, the kebabs are made right in front of the customer. However the secret of the food is well preserved in this unassuming 105 year piece of land in the by-lanes of Kolkata. It's a food lovers ' paradise.
