For over a decade now this place has our weekly footfall! We literally swear by this place! Be it drumsticks or their perfectly crispy chicken Lollipop and that flavourful fried rice is something to die for! A hot cup of coffee with chocolate sauce for just Rs 35! Be the chicken club sandwich you name it and you will get it all here! So much justice done to the taste at such an unbelievable price!

It's a small outlet near my place but I really like the food they serve here. Love their rolls and noodles. Specially love their Mughlai Paratha and also their Fish Fry. The good thing is the prompt service you get here. Love most of their dishes. Special mention for their Dal Makhani - the topping with the cream just steals my heart as I love my dal really sweet. Those who don't like it sweet don't try that.
Located at sector 3,saltlake near 12 no tank tried their hot coffee,fried chicken, kathi kebab though the ambience is not so good bt food was good.
This shop is near my hostel..and the atmosphere is quite good..all type of food is available here.. it's chicken lasagna..its Italian food..as you can see it's fully loaded with cheese olives pasta and white sauce..its complicity mouth-watering food..price of food it's quite high..and quality and quantity of food is very good..
A Hidden Gem restaurant located at GD Market Salt Lake with a variety of dishes.They have a large menu serving a wide variety of dishes starting from Indian , Continental, Chinese & many more. I tried Paneer Butter Masala , Dry Chili Fish & Tandoori roti here and the quality and quantity was excellent.
Even good restaurants will not provide u such tasty food under a very reasonable price.
If you are on a tight budget but still want to taste delicious food this place is a must try.

Probably one of my most favorite restaurants just because it's a bang for my bucks, the pastas and pizzas are amazing. Try their special Afgani Chicken, or Lasagna.
For the first time today I went with my family to this restaurant. We had ordered fish finger, laccha paratha and veg butter tadka and soda sikanji. All the dishes were very tasty, we especially loved the laccha paratha and veg tadka, even the blending of soda with sugar syrup in soda sikanji was perfect. It was value for money and would love to visit again to try their cold coffee..😊
Nice outlet and cheap . They serve almost every thing from muglai porata to sheperds pie !
Though their Chinese is not so good , I love their cold coffees and snacks . We ordered cold coffee with ice-cream , Diavolo chicken pizza, spiced polo pizza and chicken muglai porata. You must try pizzas and mughali porota here. We also had hot Brazilian coffee
Good place to order food for home delivery or takeaway. Not the best ambiance for sitting and dining. The location is pretty convenient. The staff are friendly. We had ordered Double Chicken Baked Lasagna. Both quality and quantity were perfect!! Could easily satisfy the appetite of 3. Good value for money according to me.

Awesome food...you can try hot coffee,cold coffee with ice cream,cheese masala dosa,cheese ball,baby corn,exotic paneer etc. Need to work on AC.
Here food is very tasty,but it is costly, but quantity is more. Cold coffee is best here, but it cost almost 90 rupees. Ambiance is average.
Located just opposite tank number 12, the food served is good. I really love the chicken sandwiches here, especially the club sandwich.
The beverages, especially the cold coffee is very good.
On contrary to what the name suggests, there is a place to sit and have your meal.

Had visited yesterday evening. Ordered cold coffee and a plate of chicken momo. The coffee was awesome, much better than any expensive coffee joints and was priced just Rs 25. The momos were soft, juicy and well stuffed. We had ordered a take away parcel of Tarka. The tarka was delicious and sufficient for 2. Would visit again.
This is just located near 12 number tank. A nice place for having food with cheap price. The food is very tasty. I have visited this many a times and will visit it again..

Tarang Restaurant, beside GD bus terminus
A sudden plan for lunch took us to Tarang Take-Away. It is a NON-AC restaurant with 20 people sitting and spacious with TV on the wall. No special ambiance but they serve multi-cuisine. Staffs are very polite and helpful. On 20th October, we ordered:
*Mixed Hakka noodles – 1 plate
*Mixed Gravy noodles – 1 plate
*Cold drinks
The quantity was good as well as the quality. I enjoyed the Hakka noodles because of slight burnt garlic flavour and gravy noodles means lots of veggies which we rarely get to eat in other restaurants but this Tarang’s gravy noodles was wow! Our bill was only 370/-
On 21st October, we planned a bro’s birthday so from Bake Club, GD Market bought a small chocolate cake and walked into Tarang and handed the cake to the staff and asked to make some arrangements. They are fabulous with their work. Then we ordered:
*Mixed Fried rice – 4 plates
*Chicken Manchurian- 1 plate (8 pieces)
*Garlic Chicken- 1 plate (8 pieces)
Proper amount of prawns, chickens and eggs were there. I loved the chicken preparations so the Chicken Manchurian was tangy, sweet & salty whereas Garlic Chicken was lil’ Spicy and the chicken chunks were well coated and fried ☺ .Our bill was only 1070/- ☻
And their refreshment was exceptional ♥

The only hotel in salt lake that can be compared to any food court at any shopping mall. The range of food they provide is mindblowing. Chinese, north Indian, South Indian, contemporary cuisines and even beverages and drinks like cold coffee are always available. Staffs n waiters are very good. The reaturant's name says its a take away kind but it does provide outdoor and indoor sitting.
Perhaps the only place in the area where one can get good south indian dishes. Vadas and masala dosas are decent enough. The best dish they serve here are crispy chicken and crispy paneer. They pack a punch of a bit spicy and savoury with a light kick of tangyness due to the sauces that are added. I never had enough of these dishes. Size of each portion is enough to fill one's stomach. Ambience is average as they lack in space for sitting and absence of air conditioning. But then again, you have the opion of taking away your orders and eat them at you convenience. Their traditional chinese dishes needs improvement though if you ask me. They tasted bland in comparison to those served elewhere.
But the latest addition of Italian cuisine is absolutely mind blowing! Au-Gratin, chicken Lasagne, creme of (something 😅) and Pizza!! Huge portions each of them.... all the italian dishes are loaded with cheese and they are exceptional. My favourite pizza here is Spicy Polo chicken. A Total paisa vasool restaurant!!! I strongly recommend this restaurant to whoever is reading this review.
Located near GD bus terminus, a block away from my house . Good take away joint . Roll and cutlets are good . They serve South Indian. Basically they have a range which covers Indian mughlai Chinese South Indian . Prompt delivery which is a plus.

Located near GD bus terminal,this take away counter is quite famous for its masala kulcha.We ordered the same from them.The masala kulcha is really a Must Try dish and Punjabi Chicken and Veg tarka which is quite decent.
I will like to give some extra point to Tarang for its On time delivery.
For me itz a good option for home delivery food for good price.

In Salt Lake and looking for a place that has great variety (really they have a lot of variety) and is reasonably priced, this is the place to go or order from. Service is average but their cold coffee is one of the best, seriously you have to try it.
Once in a month we ordered stuff from here. I tried their kulchas paneer items
And sometimes rolls too nice for takeaway purpose.. .........
The place is good. Situated near the GD bus terminus. The place is a good hangout spot for budget eats. I have tried the Paneer Pakora and the Rumali roti Egg Chicken roll which is a must try for diet conscious people. It contains succulent just off the sheek chunks of chicken kebabs and basically a no oil preparation.
Also worth a try is the Coffee here.

I visited this place tonight on a whim with friends. The fried golden prawns were good the crispy chicken and chicken lollipops were lip-smacking as well. Very pocket friendly place with decent food.
Good place to eat, food preparation is quick and yummy. Don't go on its looks, although the restaurant doesn't look as posh, they food and service is very nice. Price is slightly on the higher side. Would totally recommend if you just want a delicious and heavy meal and not much concerned about the cost.
While walking down from Tank no.12 towards GD Market in Salt Lake, we spotted this decent joint. We decided to try rolls as there was an active roll counter. The seating capacity is not much and the main bulk of orders are takeaway. The roll was heavenly and extremely pocket friendly. The service was very prompt and the staff were very courteous.
What surprised me the most is that they have a very long and diverse menu including a full section of Italian dishes.
This quick bite fast food joint at Salt Lake is very pocket friendly and also had wide spread of variety. Food preparation is little bit oily, we had Rolls . But is great option than other joints nearby.
This place serves delicious food at a very affordable range. But this is not a cafe type environment.

Tried there masala dosa .. it's having totally fresh coconut chutney which I loved it . I also ordered them in my hotel .. they deliver in specific time. In a city like Kolkata south Indian taste is rear to find .

A awesome place for hangout. There are very few places in salt lake where you can avail a wide range of cuisines. Which is the best point for this restaurant. You can avail south Indian to continental. Taste is nice and so the price. One problem is there is no AC. If you can bare it, rest won't be any issues.

Taranng restaurant is located in sector III, Salt Lake, Kolkata. It is near to GD market and GD bus stand. They serves both veg and non veg, Chinese, north Indian and south Indian dishes .Hot and Cold both the Coffee are really delicious. It's a must try. There is no washroom in this restaurant. The Ambience and amenities of this restaurant should be improved. But service of the staffs are so good that no one will face any trouble.
if you want to dine-in. then make sure you are not alone or otherwise you need to take the whole dish which you cannot finish by yourself.

This is popular as a take away joint but they also have seating arrangements for dining. Well known among the locals, located just adjacent to GD bus stop in saltlke near Susrut eye Hospital. They offer Chinese and Mughlai both but not Biriyani, I must admit the food is very very tasty. The seating arrangements are basis not AC so may be an issue during summer but in winter it is good enough. Don't come here for good decor or atmosphere but visit here for good quality food. Must try the Mughlai paratha, roll, Tandoori chicken.
