Am on a run of really good food orders.
Kurry n Kebab is new to me and what a delightful discovery. The mutton ishtu melted in my mouth and the chicken roast was equally delicious. Had with appams and paratha and a refusal to acknowledge I was over-eating. Omnivore often forgets to take pictures when the food on arrival is so inviting, but to refresh my memory there are enough pictures in the site to look at.
Definitely to be repeated.
Please PAMPER YOUR TASTE BUDS, especially when its Sunday eve.
Restaurant is 5months old. This time at first I would like to review on the quantity of food they were offering. In terms of price, the quantity was damn good. You would get full.plate of murg malai kababs (8 large sized pieces) at 240.00. What else do we need!?
I think, kabab lovers could relate their emotions. ❤
Okay now coming the ambience and the staff. Staffs were very humble and coordinating very well. Posted vdo of the interior of the restaurant. In relaity its more of what it has shown. I couldn't shoot it properly as there were more other customers. Lighting, music and everything was just perfect.
I would definitely recommend you to visit atleast once. Its a great place to spend your evening with family n frenz. It is located in Salt Lake, sec 2.
Food is good but priceis high wih respect to quanity
#our Sunday special...very tasty ..#chicken roast just rock with polau

This outlet is located in Salt lake near 8no water tank. First thing that will definitely strike you here is the mind boggling decoration and equally courteous staffs. Its more like a theme cafe than a restaurant.
Coming to food we had their authentic yakhni Kashmiri biriyani. This is the first time I tasted Kashmiri biriyani in kolkata and I believe not many offers this delicacy. The difference with kolkata style biriyani is firstly it doesn't come with alu and secondly the aroma is quite different though it was light.
Other than this we also had murg samarpan which is one of the best gravy i tasted ever.
And for desserts we had simai payees. It was hot and Served in a round glass. Taste wise it was okay, not exceptional as was the other two.
Overall a great place and a must visit restaurant in salt lake.
The most fantastic appam and mutton. The potato stew is also amazing. Their south indian thali is also great. And not to forget, Unniappam in desert section is a must try.
Good ambience. Quick service. Should add more options for vegetarians. Dimsums are never available. Pocket friendly menu. Always loved the food here.
The staff, the decor and food is really good. I am lover of South Indian nonveg cuesine and this place serves some really awesome ones. Though the menu has a lot of mix and match accommodating those that are the best from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. However, one draw back was the number of Nos we had to hear when it came to availability of dishes though mentioned on the menu. The show stealer was certainly the Mutton estew. But yes we left fully satisfied and happy with what was served.
I loved the place & the food too. Taste of the food is amazing & there are also many options of food.
Service was good too.
Environment was nice. Loved the decorations of the restaurant.
I love the biriyani here & the murg samarpan.
Best thing over here is service & food was also very good. Ambience was awesome.
Restaurant timing is 12 to 10pm (it will be really good if they extend).
Over all rating : 4.8
Where the North meets the South!
Tucked near 8 No. Island and replacing Tej Patta, Kurry and Kebab is a harmonious cohabition of Northern and Southern cuisine where you get all dhaba style food as well as authentic Keralite or South Indian dishes.
We tried Appam for the first time and it was a nice experience. Chicken Chettinad tasted as expected with abundant curry leaves in a dense coconut gravy, same for Mutton Istew that was soft, succulent, and juicy. Malabari Paratha was crispy but sweet. The best part was Murgh Biriyani that had a balance of flavour and spices. Sheera was royal semolina, soberly sweet.
The place can accommodate maximum 35 people for indoor seating but the decor was decent with a rustic yet chic feel.
The only minus point is not everything on the menu list is available from the kitchen and that is quite a disappointment. For example, we sought for Dhakai Biriyani that was not available. Similarly, only 1 out of all desserts could be taken for order.
Anyway, as for us for whom this place is a 15 - 20 minutes walk, it is just suitable for meeting a sudden appetite or a surprise treat!
Not a very large restaurant.. But the the ambiance was WOW 😍
The food was also served hot and it was toothsome 😋
The quantity of the food a/c to the price was very much satisfactory 😊
The staffs were also polite and helpful 😌
But one thing that disappointed me was that they don't have any generator or invertor facility.. there was no electricity for about 15-20 mins
ordered their dhakai biriyani and chicken thali its one of my fav thalies price is not too much and the food they serverrd is good.try once hope you will like it.
Went there for lunch around a few days back..as per one of my friend's recommendation..this place located near 8no island..very much easy to find.This place can hold around 30ppl at a time..simple yet lovely ambience..suitable for family gathering or a normal weekend hangout..staff were helpful nd will help you to choose your order properly.
They serve both south Indian and Chinese..but I'llsuggest you to try their south Indian dishes..you'll surely love it.
As We were only two people we couldn't try much..Took Appam(4/5) which i never tried before..Malabari paratha(4/5)was soft and well prepared,Chicken roast(5/5) that was really awesome..very tasty but not much oily or spicy..and Sheera(4.5/5),a south Indian preparation..looked delicious..tasted good too.
Will visit again to try something new like unnaipam, chicken samarpan,chettinad etc.
I’ve ordered several times from this restaurant. The most fantastic item I keep ordering again and again is the Kerala Mutton Ishtu and Appam. They are really different.
Well, Let me start with the speciality of this Lovely Restaurant which attracted me the most is that, under one roof One can get rather a foodie freak like me can get the Taste of North Indian Food, South Indian Food and Chinese too.
Another speciality of the restaurant is they don't charge any taxes. It just amazed me.
Let's come to the Food:
I ordered for
1. Chicken Spring Roll
2. Malabari Paratha
3. Samarpan Chicken (Half)
4. Chili Chicken (Take away)
To my surprise the price was only 637/-
Let's come to the Rating :
TASTE 10/10
AMBIENCE 10/10
STAFF BEHAVIOUR 10/10
Highly recommend.
Please do visit this lovely place.
Food was nice, the best part of their food was they are so tasty and I totally love it. They should increase their little quantity so people can start buying more foods.
Cosy little restaurant in Salt Lake sector 3, serving south Indian and north Indian specialities like mutton ishtew, appam, chicken roast, lemon rice, kadali curry, butter chicken, black dal, tikkas and naan.
Had the mutton ishtew with appams and butter chicken with tandoori rotis. On another day, ordered lemon rice chicken roast combo, and murg biriyani. All the items were very tasty and in good quantity.
The decor is quite pleasant with beautiful wall murals and dim lighting. Definitely, worth a visit. Hope they can live up to the standards they have set now.
I like kurry n kebab food because food quality & testy is maintained . please go with friend, family for enjoy for testy with quality testy food.
Wonderful food Nd presentation. Excellent surve. New destination of food lovers must be here. Most attraction is the variety of menus. Deserve to get 5star
This newly launched branch of Kurry n Kebab at 8no. Island Salt lake Sector 2 has some lip smacking dishes to offer along with warm hospitality.
A special mention would be Appam with Mutton Roast, it was indeed delicious. Also try Dry Chilli chicken with Hong Kong mixed noodles.
Amongst the mocktails my favourite was Juicey Julep as orange flavour has always been my favourite, and a hint of cinnamon added magic to it.
The dessert should have a special mention as it had the perfect amount of sweetness needed.Very balanced.Try Sheera and Date Pancake.
Virgin pinacolada,Juicy Julep, Shirley Temple, Blue lagoon
Location: This place is located in Salt Lake near island number 8. Auto routes and bus routes are both available and hence, you can easily locate this place.
Ambience: This place serves the perfect definition of a family restaurant. The atmosphere is extremely soothing and cozy. A perfect spot for your family get together.
Food Review:
1. Blue Lagoon:
This is one of the most popular mocktails which you can avail. However, when it comes to perfection, Kurry N Kebab just made me spellbound.
2. Virgin Pinacolada:
This I tried out for the first time and was totally astonished with it. I really don’t know the secret recipe of this mocktail but what I can say is that every sip was heartily refreshing.
3. Chilli Baby Corn:
The pieces were perfectly cooked and crispy. The taste was quite balanced. This is preferably one of the best veg starters which you can order.
4. Dry Chilli Chicken:
Probably the best non veg starter to avail in any restaurant. The best part was the flavour and the taste. The chicken pieces seemed quite fresh and perfectly cooked.
5. Chicken Hariyali Kebab:
I really love the way the tenderly cooked fresh pieces of chicken melted in my mouth. The dish was extremely delicious.
6. Appam with Roasted Mutton:
Well this is something new which I tasted for the first time. I am literally in love with this south Indian cuisine dish. The mutton pieces were roasted perfectly making it totally soft. Whereas the appam tasted delicious along with the spicy mutton roast.
7. Mutton Biriyani:
The taste was literally delicious whereas the Mutton pieces were perfectly cooked. Served with raita this dish is a bliss for all the Biriyani Lovers.
8. Sheera:
This is a south indian desert item made with Suji. I tried this for the first item and would recommend everyone to try this out.
9. Date Pancake:
This is basically a Chinese desert item where the stuffing of the pancakes were made with dates.
Recommended Dishes: Virgin Pinacolada, Appam with Mutton Roast, Sheera, Date Pancake.
The people at my home have divided opinion when it comes to family dinners .As a result , I am always in need of places with diverse options. Kurry and kebab has mastered the taste of south as well as china with a subtle art of plating.
The restaurant is located near 8 no island and can be spotted easily for its grand exterior. The interiors are kept simple with a seating arrangement resembling the old school diners. The walls are decorated with pictures and a little touch of greenery around.
Coming to the food ,the restaurant specialises in both south indian and chinese cuisine .We decided to taste a few of their signature items from both provinces.
☘️Dry chilli chicken -- This here tasted nice with the use of spices. The meat was fresh and tossed lightly in the spice mix with a significant sweet aftertaste.
☘️Chilli Babycorn -- Being a hard core non vegetarian ,babycorn comes last in my list of starter tasting .But this dish was so flavoursome with a kick of chilli and tangyness from the lime that I helped my self with a second serving.
☘️Appam with mutton roast -- This is by far the best and the most flavourful south indian delicacy I have tried in the city. The meat was soft and melting in mouth.The addition of the curry leaves and the mustard seeds gave it a burst of flavours.
☘️Mixed Hongkong noodles --The hakka style preparation was rich with the addition of prawns ,chicken and egg. The noodles were perfectly cooked and did not stick to each other.
☘️Chilli paneer -- The paneer cubes were soft floating the gravy. It was quite different from the normal chilli paneer with strong and pungent flavours of soya sauce. This one here was more of an understated version .
☘️ Malabar paratha with Shahi Paneer -- Another popular dish from the south is Malabar paratha. The chef has mastered the making of the paratha which is depicted by the fine layers .The outer layer is crispy while the inner side is supple.
☘️Date Pancake -- A beautiful and innovative version of the pancake ,this was served with a drizzle of date syrup .The small pancakes are shaped like a package with a luscious and rich stuffing of dates inside.
We had quite a variety of coolers to wash down the large spread .
☘️Strawberry mojito
☘️Virgin pina colada
☘️Juicy julep
☘️Shirley temple
My most favourite recommendation would be the pina colada .You cannot stop at one is all I can describe this drink with.
The food speaks for itself with its simple yet noteworthy flavours .The service is good though they sometimes take a bit longer than usual. But I do not mind waiting for good food .They have skill ,perseverance and wish to curate some remarkable dishes. Kudos to the team for putting up such a great effort.
Economical, that's the first thing which comes to my mind when I'm taking a note about Kurry 'n' Kebab & their food spread.
Talking about my food chapter with them, ordered for their Lemon rice & chicken combo.
Decent packaging.
Pocket friendly pricing.
Now talking about the game of flavours which they offer at this package.
•lemon rice - a bit too flat in my liking and it felt a bit too moist.
The flavour of lemon was also in a lower octave.
But the part which I liked about it was the simplicity.
Simple & healthy, ideal to accompany the chicken with dampening the flavour of the side dish
•Chicken(3pcs) - The blend of spices in ideal harmony, perfectly marinated, cooked to perfection.
Liked the recipe.
It had a Hyderabadi touch to it, which serves as a perfect duo with a lemon rice.
Curry patta added that X-factor to its flavour.

You have places in kolkata which are famous for muglai, some serve fastastic chinese and some serve authentic south indian.But very few are masters in all.
Trust me when i say this place is a hidden gem in saltlake area. Tried their outlet after the grand opening on 14th April and i was blown away by the quality and authenticity of the food.
Location- Its exactly adjacent to 8 number island (near Karunamoyee). You cant just miss it.
Decor- The place is small. It can accommodate 20-25 people in a full max capacity. The ambiance is fantastic with low lighting and fantastic wall decor.
Food-
I will describe a few the dishes that i found were outstanding.
Appam with mutton roast - One of the best appam that i ever had. It was soft and melts in your mouth. And what do I say about the mutton roast, perfect tender pieces of mutton,well cooked with spices and is a perfect partner to the appam. A highly recommended dish.
Singapore mixed hakka noodles-
A perfectly balanced noodles ,neither too spicy nor too dull. It had chicken,prawn and egg. Its so tasty that you can have it without any side dish.
Dry chilly chicken- Big boneless pieces of chicken,pan fried with spicy sauces and garnished with spring onions. One of best yet simple starter.
Chicken Tikka- This dish needs no introduction. One of most iconic dish and they have not disappointed in this as well. Tender pieces of chicken, well marinated and served with a green chutney.
Lacha Paratha & Shahi Panner- A perfect veg main cource. The paratha was crispy and soft. The panner was average.
Shreera- This is a south indian delicacy. Made from flour,ghee and suji, this unique dish is a delight to the taste bud. Garnished in such a way, this dish was one of cutiest in the menu.
Other items include
Hunan Chicken
Mutton Biryani
Date Pan Cake
Drinks
Blue Lagoon
Shirley Temple
Juicy Julep
Virgin Pinacolada
Overall a amazing place for all types of dish.
Will surely visit again.
First time I ordered food from this restaurant. I ordered Chicken Biryani. The package was completely sealed, that's a good thing. And delivery was on time.
Now come to food, this was the first time I tasted Chiken biriyani and this was awesome.
biriyani was very tasty.
Tried the chicken meal. The pack basically consisted of Aloo fry, curry, dal , 2 pc chicken and rice. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the quantity was sufficient for one person. Well would recommend this to everyone.
Excellent food. Ordered through uber eats and got a steal deal. We had chicken malai tikka, chicken haryali kabab, mutton yakhni biryani and chicken kundan gujral ki peshkash. The kababs were soft and adequately done. The biryani was light with the right amount of spices and was made with very good ingredients. The mutton in the biryani was well cooked as well. Kundan gujral ki peshkash was nothing but butter chicken made with chicken tikka pieces. Amazing food, delivery was hot and on time. Will definitely order again.
This little place is absolutely great on my first visit! I was in a bad mood, bored as I had to wait for a meeting, and dropped in almost to pass the time. Browsing the menu was interesting, and there were a number of things that I want to come back and give them a try. Tried this place on a Thursday Dinner. I though I might avoid the crowd on weekends , but it did not really help, because the place was pretty crowded on Thursday as well.
Was quite easy to find the place and had a cool ambience. You can try the south indian chicken cutlet for starter. Was quite good. We also had lahsoni mahi tikka (fish), which was okayish. For the mains we took malabari paratha and murg samarpan, which weren't as good as the starters.
The south indian chicken cutlet is one of their unique items which is worth a try. Overall, restaurant is good, with a nice ambience and had quite friendly staffs :)
If you are not bothered about ambience and looking for good food with family then this small joint is the best choice for you and its pocket friendly too.
We have ordered
*south indian chicken cutlet : most recommended, i never had cutlet like this, very unique taste
* chicken kebabs : huge pieces, and well prepared
*appam : little sweat and sour , i loved this
*mutton stew: made with coconut cream, delicious
*pacha curry: made with coconut oil, it was okay
*malabar paratha : layered and very soft
*yakini biriyani: mutton biryani but in different style

Visited for the first time..located in sec 3 opposite of gd market brought cupon from nearby.com one north Indian combo and other South Indian thali and one biriyani thali what I get food was really good served hot.ambiance is ok service staff is good..but the reaturent was too small ...
Nah-Mah-Skah-Ram, Soo-Gah Mah-No? Confused! What am I writing? Ha Ha Ha! Guys chill! I’m saying hello to everyone and how are you all? I have asked this in Malyalam language as this is widely spoken in Kerala. So, today I am going to start my food journey from one of the new bornie in town namely ‘Kurry N Kebabs’ located in GD block, salt lake sector 3, Kolkata. The slogan justifies it really well ‘Small place BIG TASTE’. Regarding the ambiance, I find it very cozy and quite spacious with least sitting arrangement. But if we compare the food quality, it’s literally awesome. I must say it’s a gem in a town that serves the best cuisine in Keralian style.
This place is truly a hidden gem. There are very few places in Kolkata where you can get non vegetarian South Indian food along with North Indian fare as well.
We went there for Saturday dinner. The place is located GD block in Sector 3 of Salt Lake.
The ground floor is the take away counter and a few steps takes you to the restaurant on the mezzanine floor. The place is small and cozy with seating capacity for around 15 - 20 people. The decor was simple and elegant and it was dimly lit.
Coming to what we had:
~ Food ~
* South Indian Chicken Cutlet - This starter was totally unique. It was like chicken fritters with South Indian flavours of curry leaves and mustard. It was served hot with tamarind chutney.
* Appam - It is the staple of South Indian cuisine. They are like thin pancakes made from rice flour. It went really well with the next two dishes.
* Chicken Roast - This was South Indian Chicken semi-gravy dish with dry roasted spices and curry leaves.
* Kerala Mutton Ishtu - I loved this stew. The mutton was super tender in a coconut milk broth. It was so light yet so flavourful.
* Syun Yakhni Biryani with Raita - This is a Kashmiri delicacy. It had rich flavours with two pieces of mutton cooked to perfection. It went beautifully well with the Raita.
* Semiya Pal Payassam - This was a twist on the Sewai Kheer. The taste and texture was great and it was served lukewarm.
~ Drinks ~
* Juicy Julep - It was a new drink that we tasted. It had pineapple juice with a distinct ginger flavour.
* Blue Lagoon - This is a classic. It was made with virgin Blue Curacao, lime and soda.
The food was delicious and we were extremely satisfied. The service was also very prompt and helpful. This is a great place and I will surely go back very soon.

" Kurry 'n' Kebab " Probably Most of the people never heard this restaurant before. But trust me this is truly a hidden gem. This restaurant situated at Sector III and Yes a bit difficult to locate. But once you reach there you won't be disappointed. Their service and hospitality was really appreciatable , their staff are very friendly and welcoming. They play some pop songs in background too that makes the whole environment enjoyable. Now talking about food we ordered a hell lot of food -
IN MOCKTAILS -
* Orange & Kiwi Blossom
* Juicy Julep
* Blue Lagoon
* Virgin Strawberry Dalquiri
IN STARTERS -
* South Indian Chicken Cutlet
* Murg Tikka Kebab
IN MAIN COURSE -
* Syun Yakhni Biryani
* Peas Polao
* Appam
* Mutton Stew
* Murg Samarpan
IN DESSERT -
* Unniappam
* Sheera
They simply nailed it in term of food, creativity and their hospitality. I mostly liked their starters and dessert a lot. South indian chicken cutlet was mouthwatering and the murg tikka was perfectly coocked , juicy and tender. Murg tikka kebab was just only 210/- and you know what it has 7-8 huge pieces of Kebabs , that's CHEAP!! Ri8? They don't only tastes good , the quantity of each dish was outstanding. In dessert unniappam was very unique and taste delicious too.. Some of the must try dishes are - 1) Murg tikka 2) south Indian Chicken cutlet 3) unniappam 4) Mutton Stew, but They have to improve their biryani a little bit though. As it was basically a South Indian restaurant with North indian touch, they are more focused on their South Indian dishes. Their USP is Food obviously and their welcoming nature. Now i know why their tagline is " Small Place , Big Taste " , this is the perfect tagline that matches this place.. and yeah If you want to have some mothwatering food without burning your whole pocket, this is the place for you.. go give them a try .
I'm looking forward to visit this place near future too.
Today being Onam a veritable feast (veg) awaited us. From 4 types of pickles to chutney, papad, 3 types of veggies, rasam, sambar, rice, 2 types of payasam and a banana.....a myriad of flavours that conjured up Gods own country awaited us! The food was not just tasty but was served with so much love that, one felt like one was invited home to a Malayalee friends house to celebrate Onam! Great food, cozy and quaint ambience and even greater service 💖
One of the finest restaurants at sector 3. You must visit this wonderful place if you want to have different varieties if non veg food from all parts of India.
Walked into this place just by chance and they did not disappoint.
The person insisted on us trying the Appam with chicken chettinad and with great recultance i agreed and I am glad I did.
Never knew that south indian food was more than idly vada and dosa
Will surely visit again and try out more stuff
A very rare place which makes great South Indian and North Indian food. Menu is limited and so is the space. It is indeed a small, homey restaurant. But the food is great! Do try out the Appam and chicken curry.
Small but great place ... have been missing the likes of Appams and Stew and finally my prayers have been finally been answered ... tried the Kerala Mutton Stew and boy o boy ... brought back good old memories
They also served complimentary payasam at the end
Had a great time and at a very reasonable price
Ordered an economic Kerela Meal ,The very first bite took me to kerela from kolkata ,authentic taste and enough quantity. A Must Try if you are a South Indian Food Lover... Kudos to the place!!!

Apr 2018:
North Indian Veg Thali @ Kurry 'n' Kebab, Salt Lake, Kolkata ☺
Yesterday, while scouting for Veg Thalis on Swiggy, I came across a couple of well curated Thalis from Kurry 'n' Kebab, an eatery that serves both veg and non-veg versions of North Indian and South Indian cuisines. It is located near GD Market in Salt Lake.
After being assured of the quintessential presence of Black Dal and Paneer preparation, I ordered a couple of their North Indian Veg Thalis and upon finding them devoid of any Roti or Paratha, I also ordered an additional Malabar Paratha.
In the attached pic, the food items are (clockwise from bottom left) - Pulao, Chutney, Maa Ki Dal, Onion and Green Chilli with Lime, Paneer Butter Masala and half a portion of the additional Malabar Paratha.
As evident from the pic, the parcel arrived in a disposable transparent compartmentalized lidded food container. It was sealed tight with cellotape from all sides.
The Dal and Paneer preparation were runny but OK in taste. The Onion Salad was fresh and nice. The Chutney was a red chilli and tamarind infused preparation. Perhaps it was the Ulli Chamanthi aka the Shallots-Pearl Onion Chutney of South India. It tasted tangy and nice. The Pulao was actually Jeera Pulao with dual colored rice grains i.e. yellow and white. It tasted nice.
The quantity of Pulao parcelled was more than enough for one person.
The additional Malabar Paratha was fresh, flaky, crisp, uniformly cooked and tasted quite good.
Price of North Indian Veg Thali: Rs. 149/-
Price of Malabar Paratha: Rs. 90/-

ordered food from here via swiggy,their chicken biryani combo(169),honestly to say the food was good but I expected it to be much better compared to the value we paid and its 4.9 rating on swiggy.If the good had that heavenly touch surely would have given 5* but according to taste via value for money not rating it to be excellent.I hope they would sure improve their food in the future
Ordered in via swiggy.
Had chicken biriyani combo.It had chicken biriyani,murgh samarpan,raita,salad,pickle.Packaging was good.Food was nice.
The restaurant decor is classy and cosy. We ordered murgh malai tikka, hyderabadi murgh biryani, syu yakhni biryani, chicken roast, chicken chettinad, mutton ishtew and mutton nadan roast. The portions were sufficient and they were packed well for our take away. The yakhni biryani deserves special mention for its flavorful and not overpowering presentation. The mutton stew gravy was white amd creamy but we were not disappointed with the taste. The chicken chettinad was not spicy at all and had a wholesome light chicken curry flavour to it. The mutton and chicken roasts were robust and heady and those who like a punch in their palates would appreciate both those dishes. We visited on a Sunday afternoon during the Kerala festival week and were rather satisfied with the prompt and enthusiastic service. The only point I'd nitpick would be the unavailability of Shola- the rice pudding/kheer - we were looking forward to as traditional Indian birthday feasts are seldom complete without kheer or payesh.
But overall, I'd rate their food and ambience quite highly.
A bunch of friends were trying to find a place to hang out and above all good food. This joint scores high on both the attributes. Keep it up and all the best!!! Keep serving good food.😊
Food was better than expected and the perfect surrounding just loved it. Good place for breakfast and south indian dishes. Must try for Appam.
Went here on a Friday for lunch
A small restaurant with 6 tables with a kind of nice and cozy interior and the food was awesome unexpectedly
Located just beside GD market near the mother dairy outlet
We ordered murg malai kebab(5/5)
wajid Ali ki virasat (4/5) the chicken needed to be softer
Butter naan and roti
The price is also very moderate
Reccomendable
Dropped in to have some evening snacks here last week;ended up having an entire meal. Yes, it's that good. !!
We started with a few kebabs. But the best part was appams with kerala mutton ishtu. The mutton was tender and the stew happened to be perfect and most delicate. I have personally never been fond of South Indian cuisine, but this recipe definitely stands out. The biryani that followed was equally good and unbelievably light.
I also appreciate their gesture of discounting and rounding off the final bill by 10%.( Thank you team!!)
However, I really wish they work on their restroom and improve the facilities.
I am definitely going again. This time to have their much recommended dish- chicken chettinad.
Cant wait. Cheers!! 🙋
The place is awesome. Good ambience, good staff. Starting with '' adrak ke panje'' & finishing with '' uniappam desert ''. My favorite tag - '' it doesn't matter how u start, but finish it like Dhoni '' - my uniappam desert exactly comparison to my tag. And last but not the list Murg Samarpan- they suggested it and it was delicious.
Went to this place about a month back and must say great food.. Lahori Aloo is a must try for starters.
For main course we had Appam and potato stew which was simply awesome. .. overall a very good experience especially for those who have never tried the Kerala cuisine!
Too Good... Which actually indicates their TAG line ... " Small Place, BIG Taste"... It's a HIDDEN GEM...
* Food -- Excellent
* Staff -- Excellent
* Decoration -- Good from outside, look like a Roll shop or take away counter, but at backside they are having 20 seating full AC fine dine.. we could not imagine that from outside, from road..Excellent
*Price -- According to their food quality & standard, it's VFM..
They are serving Nonrth indian & south indian along with kebabs... very selective items but very tasty... we ordered ADrek k panje & malai kebab@ Started.... then Tried their Yakhni mutton biryani & bestseller murgh samarpan (they suggested) and from south indian, Appam, malabari paratha along with Chicken Chettinad & Mutton stu.... each n every items is fantastic... and southindian dishes I m sure you will get very few restaurant @ kolkata but no other restaurant @ Saltlake..
Taken Orange blossom @ starting & unniappam @ Dessert which was fabulous and uncommon...
will definitely visit once again... Thanks for superb service... missed to take picture will do the same @ our next visit..
Appam and mutton stew was too good. The kebabs Murgh Malai kebab were juicy and we reordered after main course.The jeera pulao was average but murgh samarpan was awesome.

Whoa..this place is an absolute gem...credits to zomato..for this find...
Neat simple ambience with good quality food served here..
We ordered the juicy julep..this mocktail was pretty average..i thought that it would b a very average place..the mocktail being a plain blend of orange squash and pineapple it seemed..
The murgh malai kebab was awesome..juicy soft chunks of chicken melts in ur mouth..the spice with the malai..gives u a celestial pleasure..
The appams were pretty good..soft and enjoyable.
The kozhi melagu curry..chicken dipped in their special gravy..i loved it.the gravy was rich and creamy..and the chicken was well cooked..
The masala kulcha was above average..
The unniappam..ah what a dessert...banana fried with rice and jaggery..served with rabri..awesome indeed..loved this dish..
The best part is the pocket pinch..pretty less..all inclusive of tax..loved it..
They should consider offering more food portions. Everything else was pretty decent though. I liked Chicken Chettinad a lot and would certainly go back to have Biryani, Chicken Tikka and Chicken Chettinad.
I really hate those restaurants who prepare dosa and declare themselves south Indian. So to have a taste of authentic south indian nonveg three of us visited this place last night. We arrived around 9.30 so it was empty,A small at home restaurant .The service was prompt.The owner suggested some dishes,however we try to ignore as chef special are always costly.
Adrak ke panje was the starter and taste was awesome.It will soon be USP of the restaurant.
The biriyani was without potato and egg.It tasted well, however it is not pure hyderabadi as it is very less spicy.Chicken chettinad was of very new taste for me as i am not from south india but good.
Murg samarpan was delicious.However they offered malabar patha which is of a high cost but taste wise very much similar to naan.
The best part is right now they do not charge any service tax.
Restaurant is new start up in a small place with super taste.Probably the only restaurant that provides south indian nonveg.
I will love to visit again to taste kozhi melagu curry and chapala pulusu,of course Adrak ke panje.
Awesome food .loved it ..small place , big taste :) true indeed :) good taste , awesome place to enjoy with family..though place is a little bit small you try once to get great food.
excellent food & service.in my opinion south Indian non veg dishes are best in test
hydrabdai biriyani & few other type of biriyani are best & light
good for children,not very spicy,but simply yummmm
special recommendation=lasomi mahi tikka; yakhni mutton biriyani ;desert-unniappam
Finally a restaurant in Salt Lake serving proper South Indian food...the appam, chicken chettinad and the kerala ishtu were awesome. So was the adrak ke panje kebab. Will visit again.
Nice place the food tastes good as well. Went there to have South Indian food. Had mutton fry, Kerala mutton stew with appam and juicy julep as the beverage. Will pay visit again for sure!
Visited this place today evening.
First thing, the location is a little odd, GD Market, Sector 3.
Next the restaurant is on the smaller side, normal looking from outside.
Next lets come to the dinning part. The food quality is very good. I tried Veg items, Appam, Kozhi Melagu Curry and Juicy Julep, Shirley Temple. I must say all the above items were wonderful both in taste and quality, especially the Appam one and the presentation of Juicy Julep.
Coming to Non Veg ones. We ordered Murgh Hariyali, Kundan Lal Gujrals Peshkhash, Malabari Paratha & Masala Kulcha. The chicken items were of great Taste and the sizes were also good.
The staffs were also courteous enough.
Overall must visit place for a quite and quality time.
