Ordered mixed Chowmein from this joint. Its satisfactory and the quantity is absolutely wow. Tastes good with less oil. Enough amount of prawn and chicken were there. Good for two. Ordered chilli chicken also with 6pcs chicken. It was nicely cooked but the chilli was way too much.
Mixed hakka noodles was v good in taste the noodles we're not over boiled n contains a lot of pieces of prawns,chicken, veggies. Next comes the mix American chopsuey it was also v good. The quantity was sufficient.
Kim Ling at Deshapriya Park (Sarat Bose Road) is a well-known name in South Kolkata. It serves Chinese cuisines and seafood. People mostly like rice, noodles, garlic chicken, prawn dishes and pork momo here. I went there long back and loved their authentic Chinese dishes. I would give them a rating of 3.5 out of 5.

Kim Ling began its journey way back in 1972 in a middle class residential area of Kolkata when the only other restaurant in the vicinity was Mandarin (1969). It started as a take-away joint only, a concept alien to the Kolkatans then. This one room no-nonsense joint stood the test of time and continues till date on the same format - no delivery (app-based or self), no phone-in orders, no cards, no e-wallets - take-away orders against cash payments only. The other thing that has not changed is the quality, taste and authenticity. Here Chinese food is essentially Chinese, and not customized Indo-Chinese.
Signature dishes - Canton Noodles, Thai soup, Fried Rice, chilli chicken (not the deep fried Kolkata chilli chicken served in "black sauce", but stir-fried chicken in chilli, soya and onion - simply outstanding). Pork is regularly available here and Ajino Moro is a strict no-no. The only "Kim Ling item" that has disappeared from the menu is the baked crab that was a super hit in the seventies.
Pay a visit to reconfirm that "food" decides the survival of a place that is into "the business of food". Watch out for the weekly holiday - Tuesday.
Went there the other day, the ambience is nice well decorated and painted also it has a nice cosy feeling, ordered hot and sour soup it was nice, however slightly sweet. Tried the Hakka chow fried rice and garlic chicken, food was good but nothing worth raving about. Prices are reasonable and the service is fine.
Tried it once when i went to my friend's place in kalighat after reading all the positive reviews in Zomato. Really an authentic chinese restaurant which serves excellent momos. Chilli chicken is a must try and steamed pork momo is really delicious. Fried spring chicken was a let down though. A very small eatery which doesn't even deliver food. Will try their main course items the next time.

In love with the meifoon and gobbled it once again. And anyone visiting this restaurant must try out the lamb and the Teriyaki fish , its a bit salty however....Cheers and enjoy !!!!
Never had food sitting there as there is hardly any space to sit comfortably - 'n' number of times our staple parcel included Veg Hakka Noodles, Chilli Potato & Garlic Chicken...really don't remember how many times we have taken the same set of dishes packed for our dinner - it always tasted the same (tasty of course & less oily).
Quantity is enough for dinner for 3 people...considering the quantity, you would find this place quite economic.
You also get various sauces & chop-sticks to purchase at this outlet...

Kim Ling opened in 1975 and immediately made a name by a signature dish called ' chicken pakora'.I don't know whether they still have it.But I do know that I have probably taken more than 500 take always from this place since I lived in the next lane.
Kim Ling had Mandarin for competition farther down Sarat Bose Road and both had their loyal following.Kim Ling belonged to that school of ownership where the Chinese owner cooked himself with a few helpers and his wife used to look after orders and cash.The man is still there,all of 80 years or so but alas his wife is not.
In eateries like this there is only one USP.The food.And people,considering his age,I advice foodies to taste the food here while he's still around because it's obvious that his children have better things to do.

This is my take and even though the gentleman no longer cooks himself,on their day,Kim Ling can give you the best Chinese food in Kolkata,my salivating mouth testifies for that fact.
A many of us may wonder why such a small eatery with barely three teak stools to rest our arse, costs so much for their food? To find the answer, stop wondering and start trying. To start with, you can pick mandarin fish, schezuan golden prawn, ginger chicken, Manchurian chicken, kung paw chicken and what not. The old man at the counter speaks to less, but then he doesn't need to. His food does much of it.. Have been going to this place for the last 5 years or so, but it never ceases to be less charming. A few of my friends who have been to other better known Chinese restaurants have often said, the ginger chicken or the hong kong chicken u get there is better than many. The best thing about this place is the very old man at the counter. From the look of his eyes and the wrinkles of his skin, u can almost say, he can never compromise on quality.
I love going to this place. It is one of those places that is small and cosy, light on the pocket and serves niche food. Their specialisation is chinese cuisines and they are quite well known in the area for it. My only complaint with them would be reagarding service, which isnt quite great. But do go to this place and try the Peking Duck. It is a must have.
I have visited this place for over 100 times till now and I still return every time I am in Kolkata to relish one of the best chinese food available in South Kolkata. Alas, you cant have everything at the same time! They are very authentic and serve amazing dishes.They used to server duck meat all throughout the year but I am not sure if you get it anymore. Peking Duck in Kimling was great favorite of mine.
Their soups are mind bogglingly nice and the lemon chicken is the best I have ever had!
Try this quaint take away joint tucked in a little corner of Sarat Bose Road for authentic Calcuttan Chinese cuisine. It will remind you of the Chinese food available in the city in the last century. Kim Ling has been around for more than 40 years and nothing has changed here except for the prices. I recently rediscovered this favourite childhood joint and have been regularly returning to it for its amazing food. The golden fried prawns and pork are a must have. Try the prawns in hot garlic sauce and the sliced roast pork. The meat is tender and juicy yet crispy, which makes it perfect! The staples, i.e. both the rice and the noodles are also wonderful. You would know the difference the moment you'd taste the food. And price wise it won't even pinch your pocket. So, the next time you feel like bringing some chinese food home, you know where to go.
Good food with good service.. The noodles are excellent and the soups are also worth mentioning. On the whole superb place with a good ambiance.. :)

Always wanted to visit Kimli after all the reviews from the vloggers.
Have to say I was pretty much looking forward to visit Kimli but it didn’t match my expectations. Well let me clarify that there is absolutely nothing wrong with Kimli but it’s just that I expected it to be better.
The food is delicious.
The location is super prime.
The ambience is nice.
The service is very good.
But the pocket pinch seemed to be on the higher side rather a bit too high compared to what’s been provided.
Anyway we ordered the following and each of them tasted very good and the quantity too was sufficient for two:
1. Chicken Teriyaki - Rs 460
2. Chicken Clear Soup - Rs 170
3. Vegetable Noodles - Rs 315
4. Chicken Wonton (can’t recall the price but definitely very tasty)
I can surely recommend this place to everyone.
The place full on Chinese vibes... Chinese food r great.. we tried fried wanton, Schezwan fried rice and garlic gravy chicken. The wantan is great. Those wanton tried with green sauce, the sauce is spicy in taste. The Schezwan rice is not as spicy as I expected.. but garlic chicken is great.. but the combination of two is very good.. the prices range is medium. Not too much costly.. there service is very good the staffs r very behaved
Authentic chinese, good vibes in the heart of Hatibagan. No nonsense, just intricate taste and retro vibes. For people willing to have finest dining experience, there is a premium version for all the dishes. We tried the standard, yet damn good.

Few days back we visited Kimli which is situated near Gariahat. We ordered Mixed Fried Rice and Malaysian Chicken. Though the price is a little bit high but the quantity and quality was really good. Quantity was more than enough for two and the mixed fried rice was full of chicken, prawn and veggies. The gravy of the malasiyan chicken was made with prawn kima which was really good. Enjoyed their food. Ambience was nothing special. Staffs were courteous.

Kimli is a Chinese resturant, serving food since last 20yrs. The resturant is located at Purna Das Rd, Golpark. The ambiance is simple and well decorated.
Now coming to their food part, they have quite an elaborated menu. .Each portion of food is ample and sufficient for two people. The cuisines we tried are:

Mix Green Hakka Chow, Chilli Garlic honey potato , Corean Fried Rice was their signature dishes. Mix green Hakka was tossed in green sauce only and was delicious. Chilli garlic honey was a veg starter and was one of the best potato starter I had till now. This cuisineis highly recommended. Corean Fried Rice was abit flavoursome and tastes good.
