Nice cozy cafe with limited seats located on the Sarat Bose Road near Paddapukur crossing on the right while going towards Chakraberia. Staffs are very friendly. Ordered Dahi Phuchka and Orange Julep which tasted very good and the rates are very reasonable. Service is bit slow. Dahi Fuchka was served first and then it took a long while to serve the Orange Julep.
Nice...ambience...pretty cool place...but unfortunately veg....with good fried idly and too good chutneys...extremely cold strawberry shake giving relief in this hot summer.......am happy...
A small cozy cafe mainly for quick snacks option having variety of south indian food as well as some chats ,pizzas and beverages as well. A pure veg option.
**Location**
At Paddapukur Near Health point nursing home.
**Experience**
I have been here with some of my friends for a quick evening snacks rather late lunch.
We opted for Chola bhatura , Idly and Pizza.
Presentation was really impressive. Very neat and clean specially the idly was presented really well.
Taste of all the dishes were very decent and quite enjoyed it throughly. Service was quick and left was satisfied totally. All in all a very nice experience will look forward for more next time.
I dropped in here 1yr back for light tiffin with few friends after college prior to a tuition we used to attend. It's a purely vegetarian restaurant and we chose to come in here only because it was closest to the class. We had masala dosa and chhole bhature.Dosa was good, quite big in size but the quantity of condiments given alongside was too less.Chhole bhature was very good though. It had 2 pieces of giant size luchi type thing and chana masala. The dish really had good flavours in it and was quite filling.Pricing I felt was a bit on the higher side.
had noticed this place several times before but visited it today for the first time, with two of my friends.
we had penne pasta with red sauce, garlic-cheese dosa and brownie.
all of those tasted very good (in fact they looked good and only after eating them, we realised we did not click any picture :P) and the brownie was heavenly. loved it and will be visiting again.
Jiyo Piyo, Sarat Bose Road : Small, cosy , this place one step down from the pavement next to Health Point Hospital. With the ever truant playing Bhaiya at the hospital cafeteria this-joint provides hot vegetarian snack and finger foods besides succour from hunger to the visiting relatives of the patients!
I found the place pleasant, devoid of noise with good chat patta ,finger licking snacks! The place is conducive for discussion on finance and situations with the patient. We ordered Rawa Masala Dosa and Alu tikki, the first time and Pav bhaji and Mushroom Pasta!
Food was finger licking and wonderful!
Their Hing Kachiree was superb served with wonderful tangy alu dam
Wonder why people do not frequent this wonderful oasis snackeroo!
Recommend mothers and Aunties for kitty party orders...

Went here for a quick lunch before departing from Kolkata. Surprised to find Dosas in the heart of Kolkata. Dosas were decent and we had our fill before boarding our flight. Didn't have time to try anything else.
We visited this place during Puja last year. The place was empty and we stepped in. By appearance, we found the place to be a new one. Anyway the persons-in-charge tried their best to impress us with the food. We ordered Chaats and Drinks. They prepared everything right then and the quality was too good.
Great food and friendly staff. They have recently been featured as one of 7 restaurants worth visiting in Kolkata by NDTV Food. Definitely a must try.
Easy on the pocket.
Quality and quantity very good.
Friendly atmosphere.
Must haves - chole bhature, garlic cheese dosa, chilli mushroom dosa, idlies, chilli dhania utthapam and pasta.
A special mention on the EXCELLENT Mojito (they also have flavoured ones) and fresh lime soda.
Keep it up!
Nice place to spend time in the evening. Though it is a small place but they have variety of menus. I had a great evening on the weekends and would love to come back again.
Nice place. Something new to eat. Loved butter honey idly. Chocolate dosa was out of the world. Can visit for light hearted dinner with a very casual approach.
nice place reasonable rate, super lyk, food is aweaome, owner is very friendly and well behavior, nyc peace loving place, innovative style, serves food very fast
Cosy place, Centrally Located- However once u r in the restaurant u get a sence of calm & peace. Amazingly Good South Indian Food & Coffee. Very good service. Reasonable rates. A must visit
An amazingly cosy hangout for a summer afternoon catch up with friends. With refreshing virgin mohitos and repeated rounds of 'Chatpata Idly' - a wonderful concoction of fried idly bits tempered with southern seasonings, this place pampers your palate and is easy on your purse. The Moccha Latte was delicious and left a lingering aftertaste.
A must go for the young and not so young looking for an excellent, value for money deal!!

for all the dosa lovers ....jiyo piyo is the place to visit !!! startng from Capsicum and mushroom dosa to tomato dosa, cheese dosa, crunchy chocoate dosa, mysore dosa...u think of a yummy food concoction and Jiyo Piyo turns in into an mouth watering dosa! The Uttapams - Dhaniya Chilie and Coconut Uttapam!! Such pocket friendly prices! the chutneys are very tasty but the sambar need a bit of improving.
They have also introduced pasta mixed with bell pepper, capsicum, cheese and tomato! done up accurately with the right proportion of gooey cheese! And also a variety of summer coolers!
place is done up nicely with summer pastel shaded cushions and a bright orange board where the special items of the day are displayed. A window with a nice grey blinds ......good pocket friendly fresh food in a friendly atmosphere! What else to ask for!! Cheers to jiyo piyo!!
This is a tiny eatery, serving only vegetarian fare. Chocolate dosa- a speciality here- is highly recommended. The idlis we tried were excellent, accompanied by a delicious tomato chutney concoction. The sambar they serve is tasty, yet unusually light and easy on the stomach. There's a board inside, highlighting the daily specials on offer featuring some innovative continental dishes as well. Great place for snacks or lunch, but not in a large group.
Small place, situated right across the poddahpukur tank on the Sarat Bose Rd. Tried the Paw Bhaji & it was delicious. Chole Bhature is very filling & the taste is ok. The hing kachoris being a bit hard.
Brownie points for the pleasant staff behaviour.
As the title suggests, its a nice little cafe beside Kronos gym at Sarat Bose Road. It is a great place for a quick bite which is healthy as well as fresh and even vegetarian. Moreover, they even offer student discount and their combos are good. Overall, it is quite homely and the staff is friendly.
Jiyo piyo, good food and nice ebarment, awesome
