Mouthwatering Chinese Food @ Hot Pak, Bangur.!
Hardly a place not known to the ones staying nearby, the food at Hot Pak has been one to rely upon since ages now. Situated right across the main road, and very easy to spot, Hot Pak has always been one of those ready to go places for a quick hearty Chinese meal, unless you are too apprehensive and jittery about the décor and ambiance. Dimly lit bulbs create that fading ambiance, while you perhaps get yourselves seated against the plastic chairs.
It was a short and quick meal for us, so we kept our choices brief. We opted for a Mixed Chowmein and Mixed Fried Rice, which had good and formidable chunks of egg and other meat tossed with the well boiled noodles and the fragrant rice. The rice appeared to have a slight edge due to its subtle textures. For main courses, we tried Chilli Chicken Dry, which had medium sized Chicken portions fried in a batter and tossed in black bean sauce.
The gravy was mildly spicy, with the right amount of soya sauce, salt and chillies to balance out the plain rice. The Garlic Chicken was a surprise, with the chicken flavoured with the garlic pods and the gravy perhaps having good amount of chilli sauce. The last item for the day, the Sweet and Sour Chicken had minimal sweetness and not overly shadowed by pineapple or other sweet condiments. The Chicken portions in all these maincourse dishes was soft and easily to bite upon.
