One of the oldest yet cheapest cinema hall in Kolkata. The seats are comfortable and AC runs in a decent temperature (not freezing cold like most of the multiplex). You get tasty food with less cost. If you are hungry you can buy food from the nearby shops as well during the interval. They will not stop you to go out and re-enter.

Old charm. The glitzy new multiplexes has enveloped the theatre wali feeling. Single screen cinemas should be encouraged by the state govt, by lowering levies.

It's all about singe screen cinema halls. I used to visit many single screen movie theatre since my childhood. My father was the manager in "Malancha Cinema" (Presently Closed) Tollygunge. So I personally visited many halls from the control room to auditorium. And as per my opinion this is one of the best single screen cinema hall in South Kolkata. Pocket friendly ticket range between INR 100- 200 Ambience is very good. Sound quality 3.5 star out of 5. One of the best sound system in this price comparing with other single screen hall. Picture quality 3.5 star out of 5. (Good Quality) No one will regret. But Screen size is small. Seating in ground floor and upper balcony, everything is perfeclyt balanced comparison to the ticket cost. Food is average. But cheap. 3star out of 5. Ac is working good. Not freezing but decent. I think this is good enough for enjoying a movie with friends & family. No one will regret.

Cons - The audience gets talkative during the movie and do not maintain etiquettes which is sometimes very disturbing. Else it's a good place. This is a single screen hall, not a multiplex. It is pocket friendly with comfortable seats and decent screen for 2d viewing. Sound was nice and clear. Snacks are cheap and do not make a hole in the pocket.

In the era of multiplexes, this heritage cinema hall is still very well maintained. I personally love going back there every time to watch movies
