Good place to have a chinese meal with friends or family. There is an option for ac and an outdoor seating on the third floor of the building. You can feel the calm breeze in the outdoor seating area. The food tastes good and quality is good too. The main courses like chicken chowmein has a price rate of approx Rs. 230, which serves two easily. The chicken shezwan, manchurian will cost almost Rs. 300, 8 pieces. Although there is only one soup available... the chicken corn soup which is not so good to taste. I expected a chinese restaurant to have a wide range of soups but it's not available here. The chowmein tastes real good. Mineral water must be bought because this place does not provide water from it's own. The staff is good and will remove any blank dish on the table immediately. Good atmosphere good food good music. This place is overall good for a casual eat out.
Good place for chinese meal but they are so late for serving food.
Foods was good, ambience is nice... The roof top view is awesome ... Not pocket friendly but Price's are reasonable... You can spend your time peacefully
Wonderful place! The 'Chicken drums of heaven' was truly heavenly. Other food too was really good, loved it, it was a wonderful experience (we had Chinese food, commenting about that only). Only grievance is, they had really great 'Honey Chicken' the last time we visited two years ago, but on this visit, we found that they had chosen to remove it from the menu.
I was over excited to visit the nearest Chinese restaurant which is just situated at the top of star theatre. Both indoor and outdoor seatings are available over there. In starter we ordered drums of heaven which was nicely cooked and soft. Main course was served with Manchurian rice and garlic chicken. Manchurian rice did not satisfy our taste buds and garlic chicken was too sweet. I'll rate the food as average. And overall The service was good and staffs are courteous.
Charming old Calcutta location with good food
I wouldn't lie. I had a good experience here. Went there with my girl. It is located on probably third floor just adjacent to Star theater, which is a half terrace(with seating area) and half roof(with seating area+AC). We were excited with the name Wok-King as it sounded too Chinese & we were in a mood to have Chinese food. We started with Chilli Chicken and fried rice. To be honest, the food wasn't bad but wasn't exceptional either. Chilli chicken was very spicy but fried rice was Okayish. I wouldn't complain about the ambience or staff behavior. It all looked like a China Town itself but with well behaved Indian staff. Location is just close to the ever crowdiest Hatibagan market.

We four after watching #TE3N went here to have our Lunch! The 1st Unique and shocking thing I noticed (Especially all Commerce students would understand this) is that #WokKing is actually merged with #Arshaan! (Amalgamation)
We were served with #TwoMenuCards - #Arshaan being Indian Mughlai food and #WokKing is Chinese.
We ordered #Biriany #EggChowmein #Chicken & #MasalaKulcha
The ambience is good. I toh always have a soft corner for #NorthCalcutta - Ebong It's location toh is just Perfect. Star Theatre er upore, Roof top e. We went there in the noon, at night it would be even more Gorgeous.
Their service was good. Even after having our food we gave a #ClassicAdda. They allowed us.
The outdoor facility is also very nice. The location is the best. I never knew that you can actually view the #HowrahBridge from here!!
The #MuttonBiryani was average I must say but the Chinese Chicken was very good. Chowmein was good too. So on the basis of it I will keep #WokKing ahead as compare to #Arshaan.
** Postscript - A much awaited day went picture perfect! We all enjoyed the moments & as I said on Facebook, apart from me, #TE3N more people would understand this review/status very well. He He..
Chinese platters are genuinely awesome here. Although the name has been changed to Shan-E-Punjab but the quality is just same. Fantastic.
Awesome Chinese food... We tried chicken schezwan noodles... It was bit spicy but very tasty... Quality is good, quantity is good and rate is very reasonable....
The name has changed to Shan-e-punjab and the menu has been revamped adding more cuisines to it. A place with beautiful interiors especially in the open seating area
Noodles are good and one should try Gralic Pepper Chicken. Price is mid range.
