Great food � my go to place when I’m in Kolkata and the owner is very kind and helpful. I was on a diet and she made special lamb with zero salt. Highly recommend this place.
This was in my list for long and finally I got to taste their fine cooking skills!!! I must say this was the best juicy chicken burger I ever had!!! It had an aunthetic continental flavour!!! Those who are yet to experience this foodgasm plz go ahead and order some of their amazing dishes!!! Thanks local gourmet for quenching my continental cravings!!! By the way they make amazing desserts too...must try their trio sweet experience with red velvet cupcakes and strawberry, chocolate cups
Amazingly done my rib was! They are a passionate bunch of people and it shows in their food and meat quality! Will have to revisit soon. Love their preparations and the authenticity is a welcome change.
This is a cute little hole in the wall place with amazing food. The dishes are well cooked and very authentic taste. The owner and I share a common interest in fermented foods. A very quiet atmosphere, where people can work and enjoy great food.
Meat lovers paradise
I lived in south Calcutta and always had a wide variety in food. In salt lake, initially the choices
were limited. But then Local Gourmet opened and now I can pork, buff, chicken, turkey, duck
whenever I want. The duck and turkey only available during winter. But their bbq buff is a must
have during wintertime and the Lecter platter is a must during party at home!
We tried the chicken burger, the spicy pork ramen, and the Mac n cheese with extra bacon. The
chicken was juicy. Very happy that it is pure meat without any fillers like breadcrumbs and all.
Loved the coleslaw, tasted sweet like a dessert. Spicy pork ramen was very filling, good enough for
two of my friends (small eaters). And the Mac n cheese was perfect. Nothing too oily, right amount
of cheese, and who does not love bacon!?

Small place opened up a few years ago, great burgers, we come here for adda. Wish they had
some coffee, but otherwise this place has amazing food. We always add bacon to everything. Top
3 items (according to me) are the burgers, the pork ribs, and the under appreciated fried chicken.
Top quality, never have stomach issues after having bhaja from here!
I order from here regularly. Chicken roast is very good, I also like the chicken Mac n cheese. Its
very good quality and I have this for lunch/dinner at least twice a week. Would recommend this
place to friends. Please try for yourself.

This place is tucked away right at the edge of sector 5, and man does it serve some good food! We
tried the B**f you! Ramen bowl (innovative name, btw) and the pork ribs. Mind = blown! That
ramen bowl I’ll keep coming back for! It warmed me up like a sweater, and the pork ribs were like a
cherry on top! 10/10 for the food, and the chill place.
I am writing this review after trying different items on different days. I have tried to date - the Lecter
platter, the ham bao bao, the roast and BBQ buff, the fried chicken, and the ramens. My favourite
is the ramen right now because its cold, and it warms up your soul. One of the best ramens in the
city, comparable to any big player. Extra bacon is always a good quantity. Food is made fresh, and
you can taste that.
Fried cheese - 10/10! Coating is crunchy, fresh, oil used is good. Will definitely come back for this again and again. Love the fries and mashed potatoes served along with it. Thw fried burger is also great. Coleslaw is homemade and very tasty.
Chicken burger - very filling, tasty, good bank for the buck. Curly fries are good, and coleslaw was tasty. Chicken was juicy and flavourful. Much bigger portion size than others in the area
We had the Lector Platter and the ribs. Great combination. Went very well with drinks. Would definitely order again when friends are here. Perfect for Friday night fun.

I was looking for beef around Salt Lake, and thank God I came across this place! The tenderloin burger is more than sufficient for 1 pax. My favorite is the ramen because winter is here, very well done beef meat and the broth is tasty as well. Yet to try the roast and BBQ beef, but definitely will come back!

This place is never a disappointment. Hearty, good food at value for money prices. Roast chicken burger is what I take home regularly, but the standouts are definitely the pork and beef burgers! Friends and I love hanging out in the cost joint too.
Ramen is very good. Good bang for the buck. Extremely tasty, and filled with meats, noodle, and soup. Miso ramen broth is very tasty. I add extra bacon to my order, and bacon was very crispy.

Had ordered the Spicy Buff Ramen. It was so beautiful that it was almost poetic :’) The flavours in the broth were perfectly balanced, the buff perfectly cooled, basically I am running out of adjectives. It was a wonderful experience. Will re-order quite often now!

The lectar platter is just superb and tastes so amazing. The pork has exactly the right amount of fat and meat ratio along with the bacon and etc. Amazing. Everyone at my place just loves it. We also had roast chicken. I think this is the first time in calcutta I'm having chicken with skin as its so difficult to get it. Its also tastes very nice, although my wife doesn't like the rosemary flavor in it much. But again lectar platter is just too good!

I tried their few items like-
||Semi Smoked BBQ Pork||- Small juicy pieces of Pork semi smoked in house rubbed with burbeque spices and slathered with bbq sauce. Served with veggies and smash potato. The taste of the mash potato is horrible, it doesn't have any salt but the pork is literally melting in my mouth and it's so juicy and more flavorful with bbq sauce. (Recommend)
||Chicken Roast meal||- It's not a must try dish but you can have it as a snack not a meal coz it's not satisfied your craving stomach. The meal contain one big leg piece of roasted chicken marinated with house spices served with sauteed veggies, small bowl of herbe rice and gravy which taste I don't like overall I gave the meal 3/5 and It's cost INR 199.
||Pork Ribs||- my first ever experience with it and it was amazing. The taste of the ribs was mesmerizing😍. I ordered half of Pork ribs and it contains two piece in a sweet and oily gravy along with mashed potato. The pork was so soft and juicy, it absorbed all flavors and tasted great, just love it. A huge recommendation to must try that. I gave it 5/5 and it cost INR 240. It is hardly recommend, must try that.
||Porking Around Town||- it was in their ramen noodles bowl section. Wanna try that so ordered it, it's cost INR 199. But it was not as my expectations, although it tasted good. It contain very less amount of noodles and much amount of gravy which was more like soup with some vegetables and succulent pieces of Pork. I gave it 4/5.
||William IV chicken burger||- They also served one of the best burgers in town. Among their burger section this one had more rating so ordered that and really the rating was satisfied. It had smooth chicken piece with mashed potatoe and mozzarella cheese inside the buns and buns were so soft. It's really a good burger and it's cost INR 139. I gave it 5/5.(Recommend)
And yes they also had many continental and bbq dishes in menu which were tasted really great. So what are you waiting for, go their and tried their some delicious food.

First of all, thank you for having something like that on the menu. For people, like me, who can't decide between mashed potatoes and fries, this burger is a blessing.
The mashed potatoes were creamy and well seasoned, the fries were amazing, and the roast chicken stuffed in the burger was tender and delicious.
10/10 would order again!
One of the best pork ribs I had till now. Awesome taste with very good quantity. Very nicely cooked cheesy pasta. I just simply loved it. Lots of salads and chips.
Ordered B**f you for dinner. The soup was flavourful, lightly yet adequately spiced, meat pieces were soft but slightly chewy, portion was good and overall, the ramen was delicious. A healthy, filling meal, going to order again.
I was already a fan of their burgers, and when I learned that LG had added ramen bowls to the menu, I couldn't WAIT to try them out!
Ordered the Everybody Gets Porked. It's such a bowl of comfort! Flavor-packed. I like that the pork is in small pieces. And lots of it too! :)
Next time though, i think I'm going to request for the egg in it to be packed separately - better that way if you're not eating it at the joint.

We had tenderloin burger and pork burger...those were pretty simple yet great to taste.
Also they serve with home-made potato chips...those are awesome too.
It's the real deal! A hearty mac and cheese that brings a true smile on the face of my son! He loves it loads. And it does not taste of flour! Or anything else but cheese. The only place in town that gets it just perfect!

Their All bird platter was a real feast- better than having my Christmas dinner in a restaurant, and the quantity was good enough for 3-4 people! Special mention for the turkey carbonara which was so tasty and the herbed chicken was delightful. The veggies they gave as a side were so colorful and tasty too. Can't wait to try the burgers!

Burger Dinner today from @local.gourmet This tiny set up by @atreichatterjee and @the_bong_one has superb burgers and roast chicken meals. Local gourmet describes themselves as American, Fast food, Barbecue and Grill. I haven't tasted the rest but the Burgers are really the best I have had in Kolkata.
I had ordered a Ham Bao Burger and a William IV Chicken Burger.
I don't like my burgers Laden with cheese.. And these were certainly not like that. Just the right amount of Mozarella, and in house Pickle and mayonnaise and of course a delectable big fat fried egg . Nothing store bought. The accompanying coleslaw was delicious. In fact I would like to order it seperately once! The fries, which they call curlies was just rightly fried and crisp. Also in the Ham Bao, the ham is imported and tastes so fresh.
The chicken burger I have saved for my breakfast. But I did take a bite and that was also delicious and fresh.. The Packing was very good and they are not soggy by the time they reach you. Well done @local.gourmet. Looking forward to more exciting stuff from you.

Visited few days back while visiting the area for some work..As a foodie and someone belonging to the culinary sphere am aware of restaurants information..Coming to the food..Portioned appropriately..one or two staff members would make the setup a lot more organized.The owner Atrei Chatterjee does literally everything and for that she has my appreciation..A proper hardcopy of the menu would also do great as it is bit inconvenient to constantly perturb the owner(as no one else is present)for menu items available and search zomato..Overall the food made it worthwhile; having visited all the way from Behala..I sincerely hope such startups blossom and prosper as I fully understand the effort it takes to start and run one.All the best to the team.
I have ordered from here multiple times and loved it. The Oink burger party was juicy and succulent and just about perfect. They don't go overboard with the condiments, though a little bit less of salt would do wonders. My only gripe is that the online ordering platform doesn't provide the option to order a double patties burger. And, oftentimes the option to add bacon is also missing.
And, rare steak by the time it got to me, was well on it's way to being well-done. So, next time, I will order medium-rare, so that by the time the delivery guy gets the steak to me, it's medium.

Oh. My. God. The Local Gourmet has been by far the most wholesome food experience I've had since moving back to Calcutta.
My well-travelled friend, Anvay, who accompanied me, reckons the Oink Burger is the best pork burger he's ever had. And I wouldn't disagree seeing the smile that he had on his face.
For starters, we had the bacon wrapped in mini-beefsteak (saying it was 'succulent' would be understating it). And for the main course, we had the burger and the Semi Smoked Barbecue Pork (good god, this was something else!).
Here's what you need to know about Local Gourmet and why you tell all your friends about it:
Chef Atrei is a self-taught chef and she makes everything (ask for the barbecue mayo sauce) from scratch. Unlike the frozen meat that is served to you at burger chains, The Local Gourmet takes a huge amount of pride in making sure the produce is as fresh and locally sourced as it can possibly be. Ensuring the quality stays absolutely uncompromised.
Despite initial appearances of the dishes, the food she makes is the healthiest version of the dish available anywhere in Calcutta. She puts an effort to make sure the carbs are low, there's no needless oil.
She's a genuine foodie and her DIY approach and her sheer love and knowledge about food comes out when you try taking an interest in the flavours and the stories behind the dishes.
If you have wanted to support your local (food) scene in Calcutta, this is one of those place that will raise your expectations, and convince you why you should.

Have visited the outlet many times to have a chunk of their burger, I can vouch that it tastes like heaven, the patty and the bread they offer are top class. Never had the chance for home delivery due to geographical location but now I do thanks to uber eats, lately ordered their smoked bbq pork which was exceptionally packed not an inch of food was spilled now coming to the food, the smashed potato they served was just outstanding. The pork in the bbq sauce was perfectly cooked how the meat should be and the most fascinating thing about it was I almost had 90% meat with no fat at all and I am pretty sure other restaurants will not provide you that much meat without fat. Will definitely try the other options pretty soon. Kudos! to Local Gourmet and the masterchef Atrei.
Absolutely top class food and service. Loved the Tenderloin Burger and the BBQ Smoked Pork. Definitely going back for the Tenderloin steak and other lovely items in the menu. Highly recommended to beef and pork lovers. You wouldn't want to miss out on a top quality Tenderloin Burger that Kolkata usually lacks.
Ordered the bullseye steak. It was indeed a pleasant surprise to find an eatery serving ribeye steak. I purposefully ordered this hoping that i will get a full steak - alas it was all cut up into small portions - dont appreciate that at all. Dont expect the quality if you have had it in Europe or the States. It was medium to medium well done - not the pink finish of medium rare - i didnt appreciate that the customer is not given a choice in this matter. It wasnt hard or rubbery and no tough connective tissue. Tenderness was medium - not the best, but nothing to complain about. The cut was good - but it was small. Served with some veggies in a thick sauce. Was ok from the point of view of a ribeye steak - great from the point of view of getting it in Kolkata home delivered.
Also ordered cheesy fries - which was ok.
update: They have now discontinued the steak but you have bbq buff slices - it was reasonably ok.

Dying to try the delicacies since I met the owner - Atrei Chatterjee in one of the popup events of The Calcutta PorkAddicts and their dishes were strongly recommended by one of the food connoisseurs.
Tried -
Semi-smoked bbq pork - just out of the world. I love the twist in the sauce that is tossed, somewhat a fusion feel.
Pork Ribs - The taste of the smoky dense pork gravy was perfectly balanced for my palette. That is another challenging part of the dish.
Tenderloin Burger - The patty was moist and engrossed with meaty flavours. Believe me, I always avoid french fries, but hats off to this homemade fries, they are so so delectable. Next order, I would like to place for some extra to have with rice 😀
Another brilliant innovation to go on a healthy way I observed is serving mashed potatoes mixed with shredded veggies that come with all the meat meals.

For the meat lovers - this is a Take Away joint located in Sector 2, Salt Lake and prices are very reasonable.
Very Good quality but less quantity
Local Gourmet is not an ordinary takeaway joint serving you great food. They add love to every item they prepare.
I had the opportunity to visit them during my short stay at Kolkata. The food is absolutely at par with places like Hole In The Wall in Bangalore or Pasha in The Park Chennai.
I tried the potato fries and the Oink burger! Trust me I have never had fries like that before. Texture and quality wise they scored pretty high.
Quantity wise, I could clearly see them maintaining a standard and at par with any bigger brand out there.
Pricing is surprisingly on a wee lower side. Easily a difference of 10% from the regular brands.
Presentation is great and they pulled it out in a record 12-15 mins which is exemplary.
Excellent hospitality and I wish the team led by Atrei (Founder) wonderful days ahead! This place should be on your watchlist if you are in Kolkata and especially Salt Lake.

Since, I was near Saltlake - my usual destination to drop in was none other than Local Gourmet as always..
Enjoyed #BACONWRAPPEDMINIBEEFSTEAKS - do I really need to talk about a dish which delightfully has both - #bacon & #beef in it - of course not - it was heavenly for a carnivore like me!!
Also gorged on one of my other favourites - #OinkBurger - a delicious proposition with extra bacon and cheese.. Undoubtedly, one of the best burgers in town..

Best place to get superb yet affordable steaks and grills in Kolkata. Chef Atrei is a true foodie and cares about her diners' culinary experiences, and the dishes she offers up are a testament to her skill and care.
I tried the BBQ semi smoked pork and the chicken roast meals. The meat was tender, juicy and well seasoned, and the sauces were subtle and rich in flavour. The mash was very creamy as well. Atrei also tries to make her meals healthy, by minimising simple carbs and grains, and prioritising the protein and vegetables.
I can't wait to go back again. Will def try the burgers next time.
Seems like this place has shut down, which is really sad because it was truly one of a kind. I don't think I'll get to deliver such massive pork ribs or their amazing pork BBQ with mashed potatoes at such a reasonable prices anywhere else. Even their items like cheesy fries or chicken tenders were pretty great.
Tiny takeaway place tucked inside a garage lane in Salt lake CL Block/Sector 2, this is a place which seems to be taking its serves seriously.
Items are packed in easy to maneuver boxes and are priced attractively. They serve some very good chicken , beef & pork dishes including steaks & burgers.
I've tested their Roast Chicken & for 150₹, it is great value for money. Looking forward to multiple repeat visits. Warning : they don't accept cards yet, but do have paytm.

Letting that slide. Considering the fact that I am a sucker for burgers. This little cloud kitchen serves one of the best burgers in town. So much so that you might mistake their oink burger for a tenderloin one. They have made immense improvements since they launched. Their buns are fluffy and has the right amount of sweetness now. They're adding pickles as well. Loved their steak too. Oh and don't even doubt their mashed potato. It'll tickle your tastebuds beyond the foods grave. Ask for some parsley butter from the chef when you do. :D overall along with their packaging and price I don't think they deserve anything less than a 5. Please feel free to call the owners if you have any complaints they're great people.

Being a take away joint, one would not be that keen on munching stuff sitting at the garage of a joint here. However, that being a shortcoming, the place oozes quality control in terms of food being served. While the Oink burger is the very best pork burger I have had in a very long time, the other dishes didn't let me down either. The dishes are well executed and well garnished too. Hoping for a better seating area next time I drop in.
The food was undoubtedly good. My friend and I had a chicken burger and a tenderloin steak.
The main items were really good, however, the mashed potatoes (with the steak) and the chips (something like potato chips) served with the food wasn't all that nice, and the price was slightly steep, given the quality. The colesaw that came with the burger was fresh and really good.
However, make no mistake: the streak and the burger were both extremely tasty. The packaging was excellent.
And, it was incredibly nice of Rajarshi (one of the chefs, I believe, at Local Gourmet) to offer me both the sauces that came with the steak (after he saw that I was confused about choosing one) and then provide that one with the steak.
Yesterday I went there, it was a first time for me tasting buff. I was advised the Mac and cheese buff. It was too good to explain in words. I loved it. Moreover the people, present there are so cordial and decent. Good food. Good people. I'm pleased.

Heard from one of my colleagues about this joint nearly 1 year before. But some how could make it by this one year. Today I have found in Google map and had Pork Plater contained, ham, salami, collar bread and smashed potato.. It is just awesome taste.. no spice.. pure fresh & juicy pork and supper taste.
