The ambience was very calmed, the staff were very friendly with us.. The paintings that is hanging maybe its of handmade but it is beautiful.... We had 1 plate of diamond fish fry and the fish was so soft that it was melting as soon as we are chewing it... The fish was cooked throughly... And yes there is also a customized show-piece plate where it has been beautiful printed shudipar picture... They have buffet system occasionally and buffet for one person is Rs999/=..

Very courteous staff. Suggested we have the mahanayak thali and customised the thali according to our liking. Chatni could have been better, it lacked the perfect balance and was more towards the sweeter side. Only complaint is that the rasogolla didn't taste very fresh. Little heavy on the pocket but if you are planning to go there after shopping from the nearby Adi Dhakeshwari bastralaya, don't forget to ask for a 25% discount voucher from the cashier. The two businesses have a tie-up and it is only prudent to use the promotional benefit while it's on.

Yesterday we went to try this restaurant for the first time. Earlier, from the reviews and word of mouth, I did not have much expectation. As it was our occasion and my wife suggested me about this place, i was reluctant enough for yesterday's dinner. When we got in, we were the only couple in this restaurant. It seemed little strange to me! Anyway we were warmly welcomed there and the attending staff was quite polite and helpful. From him, we learnt that the available food is only the thalis at that time. We ordered a veg and a non-veg thali for us. There were enough foods in each thali. We got polao, white rice, kachuri, aloo dam, daal, aloo vaja, sukto, chicken, mutton and fish items in non veg thali. In veg thali too, there were quite a lot of different recipes. We somehow managed to finish the food. Each recipe was good to taste but mostly on the sweeter side. Mutton recipe was spicy one. We enjoyed the food. Now coming to the ambience, the place was decorated to give a feel of bengali babus culture. If I am not wrong - some of Ramprasad's song were on air - in a low tone. Visiting this restaurant changed my skepticism about the place. The restaurant was quite good, recipes were quite fine too. Ambience was worth praise. I did not find any fault why other people spread so negative feedbacks about this restaurant. I will recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and other family members.

Today me and my friend went to these Bengali food joint, located at the heart of South Calcutta near the triangular park. This restaurant specialises in authentic Bengali cuisine, which is sort of emotion for Bengalis like us.The ambience is just amazing,it feels like u have entered the dinning room of some Bengali zaminder, from ceiling to chandelier...it holds a legacy, reflects rich Bengali culture. Now coming to the food we have ordered gondhoraj bhetki, steamed rice, sorse posto galda chingri(shrimps)...food tastes really good,it rightly stood up to my expectation and give justice to it's name, love to visit there again

The rice combo which i ordered for had dal, thakurbarir palong kopi salad and rice. I loved the preparation of palong kopi..I felt that the amount of rice , if increased, would just be perfect for the amount of the dish..otherwise... Just loved the food😊

This place was in my bucket list since very long but finally managed to visit there last week. They new launched their thali menu and we opted for it as we wanted to have bhuribhoj. The chicken or mutton thali which only costs 499, had a huge spread of authentic bengali menu and all the items were superbly delicious. The quantity is enough for one. Just have a look what we had and book your date.

Visited this place with friends recently. Was in a mood for some 'kobji dubiye Bangali khawa' when we came to know about the Non-veg Thali here.
It's really good in taste and presentation as well.
It came with long-grained steamed rice, ghee, shukto, jhur jhure alu bhaja, begun bhaja, Mugmohan Dal, shorshe potol, chitol muithhya, chingri curry, chicken/mutton kosha(I opted for mutton), chutney, papor, mishti.
Each and every item was extremely tasty. The cooking is a little on the ghoti side and me being a ghoti thoroughly enjoyed it.
My favourites were the Dal and the muithhya.
It's a must try for any special occasion.

This authentic bengal restaurant is located at Hindusthan road. Its quiet near to triangular park. Went there with the family. The decor of the place had complete “bangaliayana”. It was well illuminated with beautiful paintings which potrayed the nature of bengalis. The chandalier over there was an eye catcher. Had aam panna first to refresh ourselves. We ordered a Non-veg thali which is available from Mon-Fri everyday. The thali consisted of ghee, rice, potol posto, sukto, begun bhaja, aloo bhaja, bhaja moong dal, chitol muithya, mutton kosha, chingri curry, chatni, papad and misti. Also ordered Ilish jhal and bhetki paturi separately. The thali was more than enough for one. The taste of the prawns were remarkable. The mutton gravy was perfect. I had muithya for the first time and i just loved it. The veg dishes were equally well. The size of the Ilish amd bhetki was quiet large. They were really tasty. The other dishes over here are quiet reasonable. It is a must try for all, specially the thali and the a-la-carte too. The staffs were cordial. Will visit the place again soon very soon.

In search of the most famous Bengali cuisine around the city we've just stopped at 'Sudipar Rannaghor', located just at purna das road, triangular park. Here the royal 'বনেদিয়ানা' of typical Bengali society has been reflected magnificently ❤.so we ordered the non-veg maha thali which consists of 👇👇👇
We also ordered
•চিংড়ি মাছের মালাইকারি (ঘটি স্টাইল)
•ভাঁপা ইলিশ
The first thing which make us nostalgic is the ambience,it was decorated very beautifully.
Now coming to the taste; after getting a lot of negative recommendations of this restaurant we've visited there. Each and every item of the thali was cooked magnificently that make all of us mesmerized that how could people gave such recommendations of the place which serve this quality of food with perfect quantity as well.Personally the Sukto and the mug Dal was the best... Really that two items tasted soooo good...now coming out to the fish section the chingri malaikari, ahhhhaaaa,in stead of being a bangal I still went for that chingri malaikari, the gravy was soo creamy that just melts you down, uff banglay jake bole fatafati...and last but not the least the Ilish....it's the showstopper there, absolutely perfect mixing of spices and the size of the Ilish is huge, and it was full with eggs.... Wonderful
In a nutshell had a excellent experience and I'll surely visit them soon...
So thumbs up for 'Sudipar rannaghor'❤👌👌👌

This particular restaurant has a perfectly decorated Bonedi ambiance which is really eye soothing and gives you the experience of an authentic bangali atmosphere.

" You don't need a silver fork to eat good food "
--- PAUL PRUDHOMME

The above phrase is just irreconcilable to the quotidian table manners where the inordinate investment for Bengali Cuisine is undeniably set high over all cuisines where one can satiate their spiritual pleasure to the utmost .It just adds to the perfection tentalizing nostrils and explosion in taste buds -- you're up for a wholesome experience.

The aesthetic interior and decor presented having chandelier lamps and regal wall paintings imparting the 'Zamindari' hereditary nostalgia as well as Bengali songs of Golden Era ---- swamps up your soul and leaves you speechless

The evening called for sumptuous dinner with friends to surfeit thier **POILA BAISAKH** ❤ বর্ষবরণ ❤buffet menu contrasting to the upcoming Bengali's new year.

The menu includes:

1) Aam panna 11) Jhurjhure aloo bhaja

4) Prawn cutlet 14) Badshahi Ilish (1pc)

One of the most awaited restaurants in my GoTo list, this place serves the best bengali dishes in town. I finally managed to take some time out of my working hours to visit this place with my boyfriend. Owned by the famous Mrs. Sudipa from Zee Bangla, this place gives that perfect bangali vibe which languishes most fancy restaurants. Their starters were too good and the list is quite lengthy actually. The hara bhara kebab, shammi kebab, fish fingers, prawn cutlets, and the most refreshing aam panna. I have seen many negative reviews so I really wanted to check out the place. Truely speaking, I have no complaints be it the delicious food, the ambiance, the staff, everything was perfect.

Kolkata has a deep and intimate relationship with food. Restaurants for Bengali food in Kolkata deliver all types of Bengali food that contains a wide range of dishes from both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Keeping this in mind; today am gonna present a authentic bengali cuisine restaurant , SUDIPAR RANNAGHOR. ➡️It located at triangular park.1 min of walking from the stoppage. Been there for lunch Today. First of all, It is a nice place, with elegant interiors full of bangaliana. Clean. ➡️I had tried a couple of distinctively Bengali dishes. We ordered- 🔸️Mango panna 🔸️Mutton Kobiraji-210 INR 🔸️Steamed Rice-125 INR 🔸️Begun bhaja(4pc)- 65 INR 🔸️Bhetki Sorshe(2 fillets)-310 INR 🔸️Khejur Amsotter chutney- 65 INR 🔴HIGHLIGHTS- ✔Price is pretty justified. ✔Quantity is huge. ✔Quality of the food was a lot more than expected. ✔Very good ambience. ✔Decent and courteous staffs. ✔Everything is upto the mark. 🔴Special Mention- 🌟Those of you, who use say 'It's is so costly and not for common ppl like us'; To them I just want to say that, We; common people generally don't go to restaurants everyday and have food. But when we go to restaurants, it has certain purposes for that. Even if it doesn't have any such purpose, then also we don't go to restaurants regularly. So the point is most of the time it has a purpose and most oftenly it's special in its own way. So if you're going for a lunch or dinner or meal, or bring anyone with you, I hope that you surely want to give your friends/family/the person you are going with, a special feeling! And If I am clear to you, then I hope from next time you'll think twice before criticising. 🌟Moreover, there are restaurants where we generally have a dish with bhetki, most of the time we don't get a dish prepared with original bhetki but they use 'Bombay bhetki' instead (which costs lesser than the original one). 🌟So basically, people to whom QUALITY matters, this is a place for them. 🌟Each dish is Sufficient for two. Also some of the items can easily be shared by four persons. So , ▪According to me one of the sophisticated restaurants. ▪THIS IS NOT AT ALL COSTLY. ▪THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD WORTHS EVERY PENNY. 👌🏻 Overall , It would be highly recommended to all not to judge the restaurant by the menu and it's so called 'High price'. Rather I'd suggest to judge it yourself by giving a visit to the place atleast once. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from my side. ✌🏻 Bengali food lovers hit like. 🤗

Now coming to the exotic bengali thali that I have tasted here, goes like: 1) Steamed rice with ghee 2) Begun bhaja 3) Shukto ( Combination of vegetables in bengali style) 4) Mug daal bhaja ( Bengali form of Moong dal fry) 5) Jhur jhure aloo bhaja ( crispy potatoe fry) 6) Patal posto ( combination of parwal and poppy seeds) 7) chingri curry ( Prawn curry) - 4 pieces served 8) Chitol muittha - a fish preparation, 2 pieces served 9) Murgi Kosha ( 2 pieces of Chicken) 10) Chutney 11) Papad 12) Mishti ( 1 Bengali sandesh) I would like to rate it a 5 star. A restaurant with very nice traditional decoration. Though we have tasted few items, the items were exceptionally awesome. I have attached food menu for making easy decision before coming here.
