Very beautifully decorated restaurant . The dining area is rectangular in shape. Wall of one side, is totally of glass through which the view of loan is seen. And the wall of other three sides are of brick design. The whole ceiling is beautifully decorated with jute rope, giving it net kind of structure. Other than that the hanging lamps, framed pictures portraying Darjeeling and other crafts enhance the Darjeeling theme of the place. When you will first enter the place , they will offer you hand sanitizer, but temperature checkup is not done . The stuffs were very good in behaviour and polite. Food was very tasty . I took a chicken salad preparation that was lovely. It had a smokey flavour which really amused me . My overall experience was great.

Had visited the place a few months back. The place is really aesthetic with its alluring décor, amazing lighting and light soothing music. Perfect place to chill with your friends!

We had ordered:
-hakka style chilly chicken for starters
-Veg fried rice and schezwan style chilly chicken for main course

Would definitely recommend the starters. A perfect place to chill/detox with friends or family.

I donot generally review 5 stars to a restaurant, but this place absolutely deserves it. The chilli pork was exquisite in taste. The pork had a lovely meat to fat ratio. It was neither too chewy nor too oily in taste. The momos were plump and the filling inside was juicy and tasted heavenly.

Note: I visited this place before lockdown commenced.

This is the best restaurant for asian food, I tried their dumpling which were tasty and juicy. I also tried their jhol momo which probably is a nepali dish. It was something different for me. The ambience is great and this place is pocket friendly too.

This happens to be my favourite grub joint in town right now for pan asian food. Chic decor with outdoor seating available, it's a great place to hang out for hearty meals. It is right beside the petrol pump which is opposite to City centre, Bata.
My favourites off the menu-

Korean BBQ chicken wings- Rs 250 (5/5)
Very very unique, a little on the sweeter side. Worth trying.

Bacon wrapped chicken- Rs 275 (5/5)
One of the best places serving this particular dish.

Pork steam momo- Rs 125 (4/5)
A tiny frown for the sizes but not complaining at all for the taste and price.

Khow Suey- Rs 275 (5/5)
The most favourite dish here. Noodles, veggies and protein tossed in aromatic coconut milk sauce. What a hearty meal !

Fish in Chinese Garlic Sauce- Rs 310 (4/5)

Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce- Rs 260 (4/5)

Bacon ham and sausages rice- Rs 250 (5/5)
This is the mandala special rice and the name should tell why. Loved it.

Have already paid several visits to this place and would be doing so for quite some time now.

Mandala Café & Bistro is a café located beside City Centre 1 on the ground floor of Gorkha Bhavan, Salt Lake. It is an authentic Tibetan place and a must visit for a fan of the typical Himalayan cuisine.

Ambience: The café has both indoor and outdoor seating facilities. The outdoor one sits on grass and is a treat for the nature lover. The indoor gives of a calm vibe mainly due to its simplicity – the flooring wooden and the ceiling covered with jute decorations. (Rating: 5/5)

Food: The menu is primarily Tibetan, but also has a touch of Chinese and oriental. We ordered as follows:

1. Drums of Heaven

This dish consists of 6 pieces of chicken stirred in a sauce based dry gravy. It is an ideal choice for a starter. The chicken pieces were succulent and the dish was delicious. (Rating: 4/5)

2. Chicken Thukpa

This traditional Tibetan dish is one of the healthiest and tastiest dishes one can have. It includes boiled noodles, chicken and boiled vegetables in a soup. All the ingredients of the dish were cooked to perfection. Just a tip – finish the thukpa while it’s still hot! (Rating: 5/5)

The experience at Mandala Café & Bistro was a soothing one. For any fan of Tibetan cuisine, it is a must visit. The food here will certainly make you a fan of the café. The staff here is very friendly and courteous. Moreover, the food is quite affordable and the above visit came with a pocket pinch of INR 500.

One of the finest joint near Cc1, serving quintessential Thai cuisine. Been there last evening with friends. The place is serene and the decor is very classy. Needless to mention, the Tom Kha Gai(soup) was just wicked awesome 👏, a must try for the foodies. Other than soup, we tried their steamed chicken momo which was good in taste. Would love to bump again.

Mandala has to be one of the few pocket friendly cafe in Sector 1, Salt Lake. Situated very close to City Centre 1. It has quite a catchy ambience in the outdoor with all those colourful lights, the inside is beautiful as well. The cafe was almost packed when we went there, luckily we got seats.
What we tried,

🔸Hakka Style Chilli Chicken : (3.5/5)
This is your regular tender chicken tossed in soya sauce and chilli.

🔹 Crispy Crumb Fried Chicken : (4/5)
Absolutely loved this. Panko coated. Nice and Crispy. Also had a hint of Gondhoraj lebu in the first bite. Topped with chilli mayo!❤️

🔸Cheese Melt Gyoza : (4.5/5)
I really loved this gyoza. Served with chilli soya kind of sauce. They were really soft and flavorful. Although the cheese could have been more.

🔹Momocha : (3/5)
I actually had no idea about this dish. It turned out to be something else than I imagined. Nepali dumplings in jhol achari. I had no idea what jhol achari is. When it came to my table, I was surprised. The jhol achari is actually kind of peanuty sauce. It was a bit salty and had a bit of spices, but mostly i could taste peanuts. It was almost like a thick peanut gravy. I didn't really like it much, people with Nepali tastebuds might like it though. One of my friend liked it too.

We finished off with two bottles of Coolberg❤️

Also 4* because the staff were really inattentive. Had to call out multiple times for menu/bill.

Ordered: crispy fried chicken with panko crumbs, mixed fried rice (pork) and pork in hoisin sauce. Loved the fried chicken. It was served hot with a chilli mayo dip, the crunch was amazing and the hint of either lemongrass or kaffir lime leaves added a great freshness! Fried rice was also great, with a lot of eggs, chicken and pork. The pork had a spicy sauce, which went very well with the rice. Only complain was that the pork was slightly overcooked so it became tough to cut with a spoon and fork and on the chewy side instead of the beautiful melt in your mouth texture. The ambience is perfect for dates or just sitting there with a book.

Went for a Nepali pork festival with a customized menu on board. Came back with a fantastic experience. There was a huge array of food which isn't found in the city usually. The starters consisted of Sel Roti (ring shaped semi sweet fried bread), Alu Dum, onion-tomato aachar, pork sekwa (barbecued pork). The main course consisted of Rice, Black daal tempered with ghee, khutta ko aachar (pickled pork knuckles), pork curry, pork choila, baby potatoes with skin, and an list of aachars, which were the show stoppers – philengay ko aachar, chupri ko aachar, mula ko aachar, Newari aalu ko aachar, pudina ko aachar, Gundruk ko aachar. This is one of the heartiest meals I am going to remember for a long time.

That's 4 star + restaurant. I tried just a few items. So I wouldn't judge them much. It's a new restaurant opend on Feb 2019. Mostly bhutanese culinary. I tried dry chilli pork which was quite good. Quality of pork was really good, along with one non alcoholic beer.

Now what I liked most was the staff's polite attitude and the ambience.

That's definitely a place where u can hangout with your buddies on Friday, and also can have beer without any hangover.

They also sell some bhutanese souvenirs.

Chicken thali - Home sweet home
A simple chicken thali as the name suggests but with a twist ..
It consist of Kali daal(black lentils sauted in deshi tasty ghee) .. Alur dum(cooked in Tibetean style), bolied rice, papad and the chicken curry..
It's very light and the chicken curry is the closest to home one can get. Even after having a whole thali you won't feel heavy.

Replacing a very famous cafe is harder and matching up to their reputation is even harder. Mandala has opened on the place of The Darjeeling, just opposite to city centre. We ordered Virgin Mojito, Virgin Sunset, Wok tossed chicken and pan fried chicken momos. They serve ample quantity which is enough for two people. All of the preparations were delicious and the pricing is very light on the pocket. Definitely, a must visit place.

Apart from this, veg steamed momos, Drunken Veg noodles & Darsaan is also a must try.

One of the best places to have Chinese in Kolkata. I have had Chinese from the most renowned restaurants in the city, and nothing did fill my taste buds as good as Mandala did. The Momos, the noodles, the side dishes, starters especially Drums of Heaven are awesome. And the Darsan, the special desert they make. Here's my review of Mandala Cafe & Bistro.
Location - Just opposite City Centre Salt Lake, ground flood or Gorkha Bhavan. Very easy to locate.
Ambience - With indoor and outdoor sitting, Mandala has kept in mind all sections of people, those who like to dine in and those who like to sit outside enjoyed a nice hookah. The interior is nicely done. Nothing mindblowing but very pleasing and comfortable to the eyes.
Staff - very very friendly. Always smiling, graciously accepting feedback and ever so humble.
Food - Delightful. We had the Fried Chicken Momo (wow), the Steamed Pork Momo (delicious), Pork Fried Rice (perfect) and Fish in Hot Garlic Sauce (gravy a little salty but overall taste and the quality of fish were very nice). Couldn't try any of their desserts because of a throat infection but the food was very very nice.
Overall assessment - Although they take some time to serve you food (which I consider is a good thing as it means they take care while cooking food), the food and service, along with the ambience of the cafe is a comforting treat to the senses.
Do I recommend? - Yes, most definitely. In fact, I can guarantee you will love this place.

I've been here thrice and the place has improved each time.
Starters: Pork ribs-The portion serving is not consistent but is always filling. Sticky and sweet, it is absolutely delicious and my favourite in Salt Lake. Gyoza- it is not fried enough on one side, tates more like momo. Wok tossed momos are delicious and stuffed to the brim. Fluffy pork buns are also delicious and have to be tried.
Main course: Burmese khow suey is a must have. For the price, it is the best I've tried. Bacon and sausage noodles is also delicious. The thai green curry isnt the best I've had but it's decent. The hainanese chicken is very dry, though it could have improved by now since that was the first time I ate there.
While some of the food are misses and their service between courses can be slow, I will give them 5 stars because of the unique menu and the hospitality. They remember their customers and are friendly and even gave us a huge plate of darsaan and ice cream on Mothers day

I was here at this beautiful place a few days back. It's a spacious cafe with some beautiful ambience located right opposite to the CC1, Saltlake. The place is easy to locate and is situated at the Gorkha Bhawan. From the name, Gorkha, we get reminded of the Gorkha Regiment from North East, and something synonymous happens to be with this place. The food that they serve have some inclination towards the North Eastern food culture. The food was really amazing and the staffs were very much courteous enough.

They have indoor and outdoor seating facility, with some well decorated walls outside and also the interiors were beautiful, with some beautiful wall hanging frames.

They also serve some hill based pickels, namely, dalle dalle paste et cetera, these are darjeeling based pickel and tastes amazing. You can surely buy those and have it a try.

They serve Chinese, Tibetan, asian cuisines and they expertise both in Veg and Non veg meals.

Coming to the food I tried:

Stir fried Cantonese Veg:

This vegetable stir fry is easy to make and so delicious. The crisp, tender veggies are tossed in a rich, savory sauce with plenty of aromatics. Serve it as a main or a side for a simple, healthy dinner. (Vegetarian, Gluten Free adaptable)

Crispy Cauliflower in Creamy pepper sauce:

Firstly they create a batter by adding milk, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, pepper, smoked paprika, sea salt, arrowroot starch, coconut flour et cetera, then they add cauliflower florets and stir well until the batter gets integrated with the florets, and guess what it tasted amazing.

Mandala Special Meal Bowl:

This was a rice bowl with some tossed vegetables and it tasted so amazing, one can have this as a whole and will fill your tummy at a go. You can try this out in your lunch or dinner and it will be highly healthy, nutritional and heavenly in taste too. And this is one of their Special dish.

Honey Darssan with Ice cream:

So any dessertarian will know what this is! Its a traditional Chinese dessert, with deep fried flat noodles tossed in a delicious honey syrup, combined with some roasted sesame seeds. This dessert is ideally served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but here it was a chocolate one, and that blended amazingly good as well.

So, all in all a 5/5 for me for the ambience, food, staff and it's uniqueness. A must visit place, will surely love to visit again.

Mandala Cafe and Bistro is the newest & the best cafe of the town.Just have fallen in love with this most beautiful and spacious cafe, located inside Gorkha Bhawan beside Saltlake City Center serving Tibetan, Chinese, Thai and some delectable dishes of Far East.
Few days back I visited this place and tried a number of dishes.

1)Somtum Salad - This Salas was made up of raw papaya, peanut seasoned with lime juice and sweet chilli. It can paired with the main course.

2) Momocha - This a Kathmandu Special dish. It is also called "Jhol Momo". A completely different dish which was extremely appetising. This dish comes in a bowl consisting of five pieces of steamed momo's served with thick gravy and garnished with herbs and veggies.

3) Darsan with Ice Cream- This popular Chinese Dessert is made with fried wonton noodles. The noodles are drizzled with Honey and Sesame seeds and accompanied with a scoop of chocolate ice cream; truly lipsmacking!!

4) Virgin Colada- This drink is made with pineapple juice, coconut milk/cream, vanilla ice cream. Super refreshing and amazing one that I'll highly recommend to all of you.

Do visit this place ASAP if you haven't yet and it will surely become one of your favorite place.

A few days back i visited this cafe and bistro situated in just inside the Gorkha Administrative (GTA) Building just opposite the City Centre 1 salt lake, salt lake.
.
This place is a great one for asian, chinese , Tibetan food.
.
👌Ambience: The insides are minimally designed but with ample space. There's an open lawn where people can sit and enjoy their meal on cool evenings. There's a huge mural on the entrance which is illuminated in blue light in the evening. The inside is spacious. And alos they have all ingredients in a jar to sell for us and also have some beautiful ear rings key rings from Gangtok and sikim ..
.
😋I tried ----
.
.
😋1) crispy veg wok tossed -
.
It's really a new food for me and I really love that. Its a versatile round-bottomed cooking vessel, originating in China. ...Woks are used in a range of different Chinese cooking techniques, including stir frying, steaming, pan frying, deep frying, poaching, boiling, braising, searing, stewing, making soup.so i love that .
.
😋2) momocha -------
.
It's a momo with a deep gravey and about its taste it's so good and it's really a good mixture of momo and deep greavy, mostly in katmandu they use to have this for their breakfast.
One of the dishes in katmandu is called momocha or momo, which is, in some way, similar to Chinese dumplings. It is, in fact, believed that its origin is rooted in Katmandu.
.
😋3) stir fried Cantonese veg------
.
It's a another mouth melting chinese item for me and I love it.its contain all kind of veg item like Vegetable Lettuce Wraps, carrots, bins, cabage, bok choi, broccoli and made by mix together the stock, soy sauce, oyster sauce, Chinese rice wine, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Mix the cornstarch to a paste with 2 tablespoons water in another small bowl.
.
😋4) crispy cauliflower in creamy pepper sauce--
.
This is my favourite for all day,its taste so good and so creamy thats why i love that most and it made by milk, arrowroot starch, coconut flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika nutritional yeast, sea salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Add the cauliflower florets and stir until well coated . This may take a bit of stirring to get the batter into all the crevices.
.
.
✌️Service-----
The service was good. Cash and card accepted. One can buy them for reminiscing the taste of sikim as well as darjeeling at home. Food serve is so good out of my expectation, behavior of everyone is really so nice and thats why i recommend to you. However the only drawback here is that they don't have parking inside the building. One has to park on the adjacent road to visit here.
.
✌️Food was awesome, pocket friendly and the quantity and quality of food was also very nice. The seating area is quite big and this place is a great one to hangout with friends while having some good foods. Homemade masala, vinegar, paste are also available at this place in affordable price.
.
.
✌️ Will come back soon✌️
✌️Highly recommend ✌️

The new place is done up well, affordable, and the food was good but it could be better. The reviews were greater than the actual food.

We ordered a Tom Kha Prawn soup which was great.
The Pork Khow Suey was good but it could be better, competing with other places.

The puffed pork momo we ordered had to be returned because the dough had gone bad and it was terribly sour and bitter.

Drunken noodles were okay, tasted and felt different, a little flat but not completely.
The black pepper chicken tasted good but the cracked peppers were too strong to bring balance to the texture and taste.
The fish is Thai herbs is recommended because it was quite good. Note that they use basa so it’s great for those who don’t need bhetki.
The caramel custard was a little too small but tasted more or less fine.
The drinks we ordered were a kiwi sprite and a grapefruit chiller but it’s made with grape juice and not grapefruit. The kiwi was a little too sweet.

This is a new place so it’s worth trying but they also have a huge scope for improvement.

- They also have a corner where they sell dalle chili pickles and other tokens.

Mandala Cafe & Bistro is a fairly new cafe located inside Gorkha Bhawan opposite City Centre Salt Lake, serving Tibetan, Chinese, Thai, and some select dishes from the Far East, including a lot of pork delectables.

The calm ambient interior is simplistic, notable being the rustic woven rope ceiling, softly-lit hanging lamps, monochrome photographs on warm brick walls, Himalayan wall hanging, a minimal design of the mandala (a spiritual ritual symbol found in Buddhism and Hinduism representing the cosmos or universe) etched on a wall partition, colourful mandala art-printed coasters on the table etc.

The cafe provides both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements, with an open-air lawn flaunting a lovely artisitc mural changing colours through light projections.

They also sell hill-based Dalli's dalle products in jars like dalle paste, dalle in vinegar and dalle masala. (Dalle khursani or Himalayan Cherry is a rare and unique cherry pepper native to Nepal, Sikkim, Darjeeling, one of the hottest chillies found in the world; widely used for pickling it's an essential ingredient for the pungent chutneys that usually accompany momos and dumplings).

We tried the CHICKEN SHAFALEY as we'd wanted to keep it light for snacks in the evening.
A pork variant of the shabhaley is also available.

The sha phaley is a Tibetan dish of bread stuffed usually with seasoned beef and cabbage.
The one here at Mandala had a nice stuffing of fresh mashed chicken and tiny chopped onions, reminiscent of the cuisine of the northeastern hills.
Served piping hot with celery stalk, the boiled grated chicken nestled inside triangular bread - deep-fried with a soft crisp texture - appeared quite tasteful and yummy, specially when dipped occasionally in the accompanying dalle paste, such that I was craving a second helping. For snacks or starter they make for a mouthwatering appetizing choice. 🥟🥟🌶

Staff are extremely courteous and polite. Service is quite efficient.
Only the air conditioner above our head did not seem to work properly.
Prices of food are also reasonable.

For some quick bites or wholesome meals the cafe is apt to spend time around with friends, family or loved ones, particulary during the evening. Not to forget the tasty Asian food that they've come up with to tantalise one's food-hungry tastebuds. 😋

Mandala Cafe & Bistro has recently opened up just opposite cc1. We were here for dinner few days back with my cousins.
The ambience looks perfect at night.
Coming to the food.
They serve the best Chinese and Tibetan food I have had in a while. Me not being a pork lover tried pork and it was out of the world. The chicken Momos were extremely juicy and the filling was great.

"Unexpected and impressive" these two words judge this cafe properly. The interiors are clean, the service is great and the food is mouthwatering. The price, on the other hand, is very reasonable. Located opposite to City Centre, this place is a hidden gem. The only mediocrity is the coffee that they serve, but if you like normal coffee, then it's near perfect. Do try out the Chinese Pork Roast. The steamed chicken momo is also firm and well stuffed. Waiting to pay another visit. Olivia Saha

A quite and aesthetically pleasing eatery located opposite City Centre 1. I loved how serene the interiors of this Cafe cum Bistro were despite being located in such a busy area. They have a beautifully set up garden seating area as well.

We went in during the lunch hours this Sunday and were led to our table by the very polite staff members there. We took a look at the menu and decided our meal as follows-

1. VIRGIN SUNSET- Started the meal with this refreshing, mildly tangy mocktail.

2. FIVE SPICE CHICKEN SANGHAI STYLE--- RECOMMENDED!! Soft pieces of chicken, fried and tossed in soya sauce and garlic with star anise. A must try for anyone who is looking for a good Chicken starter.

3. SWEET AND CHILLI PORK--- RECOMMENDED! I love Pork meat in general and this starter definitely satiated my Pork cravings. The dish has strong sweet flavors and may not be liked by all. They have Spicy Pork starters too like Hakka Style Chilli Pork which is equally good.

4. SPICY CORIANDER FRIED RICE- RECOMMENDED! It was not at all greasy. The rice was of good quality, tossed with veggies and had the perfect blend of flavors. I also loved how fragrant this dish was and I couldn't stop myself from taking a second serving.

5. KUNG PAO CHICKEN- RECOMMENDED!! Tender medium sized pieces of chicken fried with a thin coating of cornflour in a tangy-spicy and perfectly thickened gravy. The gravy also contained generous quantities of veggies and Cashew nuts. Definitely one of the best Kung Pao preparations I've had.

6. CARAMEL CUSTARD- RECOMMENDED! I normally don't order caramel custard as I'm not a big fan of it but ordered it here on a friend's recommendation and it was one of the best dessert decisions ever! The custard had absolutely no smell of egg and had a lovely smooth, cramy texture. Also, The caramel accompanying it was of the right consistency and sweetness. It wasn't too sweet to give one a sugar rush or too bland to be called a dessert. It was indeed JUST PERFECT!!

You may have noticed that I have Recommended almost everything I had from this eatery and believe me when I say it, I am not exaggerating at all. This place really is that good.

It is perfect for family dinners as well as dates.
Can't wait to go back and enjoy more of the delicious food, soothing ambience and lovely hospitality here.

Your gateway to Darjeeling and North east

Ambience: This place is located inside the Gorkha Administrative (GTA) Building just opposite the City Centre 1 salt lake. The insides are minimally designed but with ample space. There's an open lawn where people can sit and enjoy their meal on cool evenings. There's a huge mural on the entrance which is illuminated in blue light in the evening. The inside is spacious.

Food: We were a large group and decided to taste some of the most famous dishes of this place. First we had the Tom kha chicken soup. The soup was clear, tangy and full of chicken pieces.
In appetizer, we had
✓Stick pork ribs
✓ Fish in Thai herbs sauce
Both of these dishes are must haves. The pork was soft and well cooked while the fish was succulent and dipped in Thai sauce. You should definitely have these dishes when you visit.

We also had Mandala styled pork puff Momo and chicken Momo which were authentic to their Darjeeling roots. The melting taste of the momos would surely carry you to Darjeeling.

In main course, we had Burmese Khao suey noodles. This one is another mist have dish of this place. One plate of this is enough for even 3 people. The garnishing was wonderful and the taste was impeccable. One can return here many a times for this dish only.

Service: The service was good. Cash and card accepted. They also sell special pickles of Darjeeling in well packaged containers. One can buy them for reminiscing the taste of Darjeeling at home. However the only drawback here is that they don't have parking inside the building. One has to park on the adjacent road to visit here.

If youre anywhere near salt lake city centre and want a quick bite or a wholesome dinner, this cafe is the place to be. Equipped with both outdoor and indoor seating, the decor of the cafe steals the show immediately. Colourful blue lights adorn the outdoors while the indoor is also well decorated. I had a lot to eat when I went there! The ambience is great and the staff is very friendly and courteous. Loved the hspitality when I was there.
The dishes I tried there were:

Appetizer

Stick pork ribs
(5/5) - recommended for the softness of the pork

Momos

Steamed chicken Momos
- extremely juicy. a must try.

Main Course

Burmese khaw-suey chicken
- excellent presentation. got wooed by that only. leaves a coconut e aftertaste.

Dessert

Darsan with ice cream- again a very good dish to end with.

Overall, loved the new place, loved the ambience as well as the food. Plan to visit again in the near future with all my friends.

I had plan to go to a café near CC1. I was passing by the GTA Gorkha Bhaban and a thought came into my mind. I thought why couldn't they start a food joint there like Sikkim House did with The Blue Poppy and The Blue Poppy Thakali? That very moment I saw the board 'Mandala Cafe & Bistro'. I understood it was new and fresh. In a trance of deja vu without giving any more thought I went there (yeah, I was missing the Hills).

The place is not actually a café but an oriental restaurant with both open-air and AC sitting arrangements. They have sheesha option too. The ambience is good. No hifi decor but beautiful. Staff is very genial. Cash and cards both are accepted.

Now coming to the main point: the food. The menu is fully Asian (Vietnam, Thai et al), not just Chinese. And... As expected, you guessed it right, there are Nepali items too. I couldn't resist ordering pork shafaley and Darjeeling tea. Soul food. Peace! Later I ordered pork shapta and veg pad thai (this is one of those rare places in Salt Lake having pork in menu). I'll be honest - the quantity is a tad bit less. Not enough for two. But the quality is fantastic. I felt the flavors of the Hills in shafaley too. So it's excellent, I'd say. They were so hospitable that I was offered darsan as complimentary dessert. It was fantastic also. Hot chocolate and melting ice cream in it made the end a memorable one. I'm definitely coming back here again and I wish them success.
.................................
I had to bring someone special to this place. So a second visit was much needed. Khaw Suey and Hainanese Chicken Rice were the menu this time. Again... One item was sufficient for one person and the quality was excellent. Pricetags are reasonable again wrt to the quantity and quality, although, again I'd say, the quantity could increase a tad bit.

This is a very beautiful place to hang out with friends and family. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting arrangements. The outside is pretty and yes, there are mandala works here and there in the cafe. They offer appropriate quantity for every dish and the foods are absolutely delicious. Those who cannot eat much, please try to order food as a sharing. One is enough for two people. The music, ambience, staff everything there is good as you can spend enough time with your loved ones there. This place just turned out to be a must-go place for quality food at an affordable range.

Just located under the gorkha bhawan.Went there for Saturday lunch at 2 in the afternoon. The ambiance had a beautiful touch of Tibetan culture and darjeeling essence. Chicken burnt garlic rice: perfectly balanced flavours 5/5 3. Veg kothay: super delicious 5/5 4. Chicken steam momos: so juicy 5/5 5. Chicken nepalese salad: tried something like this for the first time. 4/5 6. Golden fried prawns: crispy and soft 5/5 Wanted to try blueberry cheesecake but was unavailable

The place is an absolutely try for food lovers but it might be a bit expensive. The location is great but there's no parking available so u will have to park your vehicle a bit far away or in CC1 itself. The food is delicious although I would recommend the management to reduce the price a bit. We tried the korean chicken wings ( a must try I was so hungry that I forgot to take pics lmao), nasi goreng and some other dish with satay ( i don't remember the name sadly)

A hidden gem on the ground floor of Gorkha Bhavan opposite to City Center 1. We went there for dinner with friends and family and enjoyed the food and ambience. The interior is nice and cozy with comfortable sitting arrangements. The staff were cooperative and service was quick. We tried Gyoza, Hot and Sour Soup, Drums of heaven , pan fried noodles, Kung pao chicken. The taste of all the items was upto the mark but the chicken pieces were smaller in size compared to other restaurants. I would request the owner to have a look into this. Recommended.

Been there quite a few days ago! Good hospitality and service. We were a bit late that day but they served us with ample choices. We loved the decor and ambience. Mandala could be a great choice for a weekday dinner. Me and my friends loved the place. One bummer I must say about their taste! It could have been a bit better. However, the quantity was good and the choices we made may not be on the top tier of their list. All in all, we enjoyed well that day!

My love for oriental food took me here. Food is quite good if not the best. But try the Bao there. It was fantastic. Don't know whether it was the hoisin/black bean sauce, the taste was top-notch. Reduced one star as the hospitality was not that great. The waiters weren't proactive enough even when the restaurant was empty save for a couple of tables and had to call them several times.

AMBIENCE : Very comforting yet appealing at the same time. It's like a home away from home. STAFF : Superior hospitality. Please ask for recommendations and don't experiment...you might just miss out on the best for your pallette if you don't try out their suggestions.. I was not disappointed in the whole set of order... (the dry wings were really dry and that was not what the staff suggested so can't blame them) FOOD : Must Try ! Prawn Khow Suey Soup : HIT hands down. Please try it for tasting comfort in every spoonful. The coconut milk and spices with prawns go so well with each other (an oriental touch to the Prawns Malai Curry of Bengal) The Chicken Bao : Good taste. Good for snacks. Crispy Fish in Black Pepper : Very delicious. And very palatable not very spicy not at all bland. Very nice. Mixed Prawns Mei Fun Noodles and Spicy Basil Fried Rice both went well with Fish in Chinese Garlic Sauce. And all three main course dishes were palatable yet appreciably delicious. Mei Fun Noodles had the perfect blend of spices with a very distinctive taste. The fish was very tasteful too. The rice was nice but not as great as the Mei Fun.

This place is a hidden gem amidst of the over-the-top pricey food joints of city centre and other salt lake posh places. At the same time they curated a great ambience, a great taste for music and overall customer delight. We were wandering beside the city centre in a busy weekday and just spontaneously selected the place and turned out we just hit the jackpot. Ordered Ramen bowl, woke tossed momo, pork sha phaley (don't have the image as i had it before any one can bat an eye). The latter ones just blew our mind and we finished it with a kiwi smoothie just to prolong our stay, as we are quite reluctant to leave and staffs were smitten by our conversation 🤭 Total cost went to ₹ 914 which i think quite decent for two, and i hope to explore the other dishes specially the bao's Wish all of them good luck
