A student friendly place. Best for college students. They serve amazing chicken popcorns. Don't forget to try their chicken clear soup. For 60 rupees the quantity is very good. It took 3 of friends to finish one bowl of soup.

This eatery springs a surprise with the options they offer in their menu. Fried chicken and burger from a roadside stall is a first for me and they are astonishingly good in taste! Rest are as usual: rolls, chowmein, friedrice, etc. Very economical on your budget I would say, especially those fried chicken and burgers. I am becoming a regular visitor here! 😆

This quaint little shop at the corner of gd island, salt lake has gained popularity over the years as 'the cheaper cousin of kfc'.
Well to be precise, it does look like kfc but tastes nothing like it. But the price difference is a draw and the charm of sitting at roadside places and savour such dishes was quite interesting to this calcutta boy who grew up on streetfood.
The outer skin and crust of their chicken is much thicker than other fried chicken available in the market. And the chicken pieces are however juicy. Personally i would prefer their popcorn chicken ( yesthat too sounds like a ripoff)
However the thing that caught my attention was the spicy chicken.. regular fried chicken dipped in an irresistible extremely hot sauce.
Ill definitely be going back for some more spicy chicken
Chicken burger with extra cheese is just awsum. Loved it. The combo meal of chicken burger, french fries and cold drink is really price worthy.

Low cost restaurant and perfect for home delivery. All over good service and everything is fine except the delivery time. It's took so long and sometimes it exceeds the limit more than 1 hour for delivering in very nearest location.
Been here a month back...ordered chicken burger and spicy chicken popcorn...the burger was tasty..but the popcorns were a bit soggy but they tasted good..even though I would HV preferred the crispy version...service is a bit slow...if you are ready to compromise with the ambience and just consider the food then it is definitely a must try..

Amir's was introduced by a friend of mine few years back.When the craze for kfc was at its peak.Now there are many options as such.But Amir's was one of my first economical kfc styled food serving place near my area.Their family meal includes a burger with a chunky portion of chicken,fries,a fried drumstick and a cold drink.One could surely visit if he/she is around salt lake,craving for some fried chicken :)

Gariboon ka KFC should be the name of this outlet. Great mouth watering snacks in the most pocket friendly prices. The fried chickens are great, well balanced in terms of flavour and and should be adored by bengali taste buds. The chicken pop corn, burgers are equally good. And honestly, great sides if you have booze house party ;). A must visit for all, and you will decide for yourself regarding whether to make a next visit or not.
A small place right on the corner of GD island. We ordered french fries, popcorn chicken(spicy) and chicken noodle. The only thing i didn't like was, they took a loooong time to serve, but the food was overall good. Their so called "french fries" were just potatoes fried in a chickpea flour(besan) batter, but they were crispy and good. The popcorn chicken was really good( not as good as KFC's 😅, but quite comparable). The chicken noodles were not like the "Chinese chicken noodles" but they weren't bad either. The french fries are recommendable, do try their innovative version of "potato bhajis" just for 40 bucks!

The chicken is succulent and crisp. The spicy chicken popcorn was delicious . The delivery was A bit late but the items remained crisp. Ordered chicken momos along with this but was too full open them.

Amir is a nice eating joint when you consider their food prices and and location. The food is also quite tasty but a bit oily. Other than that, it is very pocket friendly and there are no problems.

Ordered food this evening through Zomato... Was pleasantly surprised by the rather prompt service and neat packaging... Their menu is kind of no-nonsense in the sense it just serves the basic dishes without trying to be too fancy... And thankfully, the dishes were satisfying both in terms of quantity and quality... Would love to try out the other options in the menu next time...
A fast food takeaway joint near a Mother Teresa statue at GD island. There is only 3 tables in the foodpath. One of the pocket friendly place to give an "adda with friends". I always order burger, french fries, nuggets. Don't expect much. Tasty food with maintaining quality and quantity.

Today I ordered an Egg fried rice and Lemon chicken..May be by mistake they delivered me Egg chicken fried rice.. :D whatever Lemon chicken was good though the size of pieces was quite small.The fried rice was so so. But quantity was enough for 2 people.I am happy with the on time delivery of food.And thanks a lot for showing some extra love to me by delivering egg chicken rice instead of only egg fried rice !! :D

Amir's is a joint that has gained fast popularity. There is always a mini crowd outside this joint. They have limited chairs laid on the footpath. They do not score much on the hygiene but with such joints there really is not much of an option!
Try their fried chicken, popcorn chicken. Crisp menu with just the basic chicken dishes to score on. The fried chicken can be offered to guests visiting home! Good delivery option in Salt Lake.

A small roadside fast food and takeaway joint close to the park on the sidewalk, Amir Fast Food Centre is milling with the young crowd most of the time. A takeout lunch of egg chicken fried rice and hot and delicious chili paneer made for a good meal to kickstart a busy afternoon on a bleak cloudy start of the week, ridding me of my Monday blues. Already a favored haunt for young students, couples, friends, this grub hub can also be a good choice for officegoers who can grab a quick bite before heading to work, for hungry pedestrians, people fond of street food, and of course the locals and residents of Salt Lake.
Ordered Egg chicken gravy chow & gravy honkong chicken. The main course was good but the side dish was not as per expectations. It was too spicy too. However overall I would say that it wasn't bad. Quantity was pretty satisfying.
Amir is a popular take away joint tucked away at a corner near GD island. I have picked up food few times from Amir and the experience was just fine. I always order their Spicy Chicken Popcorn which is in fact better than what is available at KFC. However their babycorn is not that good. I would suggest to stick to the basic chicken items. Pricing is very affordable
This is located on one corner of Saltlake GD Island One day we decided to try out their chicken popcorn. Order two plates of Chicken Popcorn. Each plate had 15 -16 pcs of good enough sized popcorn which costs us 180 Rs. It was really worth it. The pieces were really munchy and tasted awesome as they were mixed with some tangy masala.
I will definitely try out their other dishes in future.
Excellent! Very good food!...I have never been to that restaurant but I think it's really near by my area I m waiting to visit to try every item on menu wid my gang. The chicken popcorn and baby corn manchurian was very good(online order). Delivery can be improved, other than that it's awesome.
The food here is good. Fast food joints like Tgis should be open more often. The Only problem is cleanleness around the area. The servuce is good and also dosent disappoint an empty stomach.

This tiny eatery is located next to HA block community hall , near GD island . The place has three tables outside with a few chairs , just right for a bunch of friends to hang around for a quick bite . The restaurant has everything from chowmein to burgers to chicken wings , but I'd suggest availing the take away option as they serve faster in that case . Otherwise , if you order in , try going for the fried stuff . I once ordered an egg roll that took 45 minutes to arrive , so beware ! They serve noodles pretty fast too . My favourite here are the chicken pops , which cost a hundred bucks and taste good . The French fries are good too , at a pocket friendly price ! The chicken and cheese burger is awesome ! The chicken boneless strips are great too ! The location and prices are the USP of this small fast food joint that is popular with the young crowd . The fried food here is amazing and great value for money !

Came across this joint by chance. They serve KFC and NYPFC type of Fried Chicken Items and other such items.
To be honest I found the items much better than KFC & NYPFC joints , chicken was much more tender , the fry coating was not hard to chew . Ambience is not that great and the seating area is out in the open with plastic chairs and tables.
We went for Family Meal and Boneless Chicken Strips.
Overall a good experience.

As a college student or school student when you are short on cash but still want to have good food with a sumptuous quantity, there is no better place than Amir's. This place has been a rescuer every time we had a party which was pretty often. The french fries, its not like any french fry I have had before, and the pop corn chicken and that yum spicy popcorn chicken is a must. If you are still hungry after that you can always go for the burger meal, and if you like a bit of spice in your life, change the normal chicken with the spicy one. Even now, this is our fall back place. If we can't think of any other place,we go to Amir's which is pretty often as well. You can also try the noodles, although that isn't close to being one of my favorites but as I said as a college student,short on cash, it is very fulfilling that also for a mere 30bucks. The prices may have changed slightly from the last time I had food there.
Best order in if you live within saltlake, else you can sit outside like so many other people do.
This place seems small and it is small but the quality of food is good and the quantity is better than any other competitors....

This is a typical road side food establishment in Kolkata, right near the GD Island. The seating arrangement is on the pavement which is a negative.
Our visit’s objective was an evening snack, so we had rolls. Egg Chicken rolls. They rolled it up really well, with the right mix of tomato and chilli sauces. The Chicken Kebabs were also well cooked. I look forward to more snacks here if in that area.

It's amazing how such a small takeaway joint can almost match the mighty KFC when it comes to items like Crispy Chicken, Boneless Chicken Strips or the burgers. These items here are simply delicious. But on the flip side the more common chinese gravy dishes here are not upto the mark at all. Atleast I didn't like the way the Chicken Manchurian tasted.
So I would say this one's a place where you should go and buy some top quality snacks to munch upon. Let the gravy dishes be.
This place is near my home and also my work place...ordered one plate of veg fried rice and one plate paneer manchurian.....the delivery was done in 15 mins. The food was good and the quantity was good.. Fried rice was enough for one person to finish and paneer manchurian had 8 big pieces of paneer.

The burger meals they have is sumptuous and I like the twist they give to the regular French fries with a homegrown batter. If you have a liking for spicy food, you must try out their spicy chicken popcorn. It's made with their own homegrown spicy sauce, and is a great accompaniment to your evening snacks!
