Good place for lunch or snacking between shopping in Esplanade. The behaviour of the attendants was good .. There are old-school cabins in which you can eat in some privacy. The food was good. Quantity and quality was average.

The location is superb. In the midst of New Market, after shopping it's one of the best places to fill your tummy. Clean place and varied menu especially non-veg. They only have cash payment now. This may be a let down for lots, but there's no compromise in food quality.

It is an oldest restaurant under Grand Hotel just opposite Kolkata Municipal Corporation office in New Market. They serve good quality foods at good prices. Prices are not that cheap but okay as per quantity and quality. Staffs behaviour are moderate. OUTSIDE FOOD NOT ALLOWED TO EAT INSIDE. The staffs will stand in front of you for a tip while you pay the bill. Frankly speaking, the behaviour of the staffs are not that good for a tip. They are old staffs and their salaries are also quite well. I love only their chowmein and chilli chicken.

A little bit traditional looking restaurant, quantity and taste of food is what will make you return here whenever you're nearby and craving for some good food.

I really loved the place. Especially the dish kabiraji they have. It's delicious. The fish curry and rice combo was just okay but there is so many fish varieties to try from.

Wonderful experience... wonderful ambience..😍👌🏻 It is not a five-star restaurant lyk other big restaurants, but the ambience and quality of food is still just awesome..nd dat makes it worth a five-star restaurant!! Some of there best dishes are: 1. Fish/Chicken/Mutton Kabiraji 2. Mutton/Chicken Biryani 3. Mixed Fried Rice 4. Mixed Chowmein 5. Mutton Kasha Rest of the dishes may have awesome taste but I have tried all of the above mentioned dishes!

Regent restaurant is a very pocket friendly and family oriented restaurant at the middle of New Market just behind Oberoi Grand hotel. It's quite a old eating house having courteous staffs. We had tasted lemon tea(price:Rs. 22) which was served with real lemon which was quite unique and very well

If you're still feeling peckish, head behind the heritage hotel, Oberoi Grand, and find yourself at Regent, which doesn't look as noble as the name suggests. Their mutton biryani is worth a try but the main star of this establishment is the Kabiraji cutlet, a fried slice of fish served with chips. Perhaps an Indian alternative to the English Fish n' Chips.

Cheap and best..Its in the Esplanade corporation area and very much locatable from the roads. The place is very popular among shoppers and office goers. A great place for a quick bites with friends and family.Mughlai paratha is a must try. One could also go for coffee and caramel custard. There are some drawback of the restaurant as well. This is a cash only place. So be prepared for that and the other thing is it is not air-conditioned so may not be that comfortable in summer and the worst part is you can not have coffee unless you order something else.
