This place is a good food joint for the people those who eat outside food regularly as this place serves you fresh and tasty food in a nominal rate. This is a must try place!
Ordered Veg Thali for Lunch. Quality and quantity of food was good. It will be great if there is customization option. Also ordered Chicken curry and Paulao for friends, Paulao was good but not the chicken curry.
This is my one of the most favorite restaurant. And favorite dish is basmati pulao and mutton combo. The price is soo low and the quality is soo amazing. Just wow.. the scent of the Basmati rice is soo good and the taste too, and the mutton is always well cooked. I order this at least once in a week. Though the mutton is soo good but the chicken curry is not that good. #love #best_basmati_rice

Craving for shoshta “pulao mangsho” landed my friends and me here. We tried chicken and pulao combo, which was for 104/- inclusive of gst.
They serve you two good pieces of chicken(1 leg piece and a normal good meaty piece), along with a good amount of pulao, which looks less at the first glance but is great in quantity, with a sachet of pickle and a small glass of cold drink.
The chicken has very simple flavours and would appear to be like “chicken er jhol/stew with turmeric”, would have loved if it was kosha chicken instead.
The pulao is well cooked, and has handful of kishmish in it.
All in all this place is a must visit for a filling, pocket friendly lunch.
The food is not very oily, spicy which makes it better.

Ordered for the pulao mangsho combo, though being a bit Skeptical, went for it and believe me, i was surprised.
The pulao tasted well and the chicken and well cooked but on the lighter side of spice quotient.
Very aggressively price and packaging is decent.
You can surely give it a try.
Great food....it was fresh enough..... packaging was also good with affordable price....overall a nice experience....will order soon..... delivery was also on time....
always good i repat my oder day by day
vey good packaging with hyginic
Affordable and daily lunch solution.Meal size is good for moderate appetite.Option of Veg thali at Rs 110 bucks only is gr8.Their theme totally resemble in their name.
Ordered once from here, but I think I am gonna be a regular customer from now on. :p
polao + chicken combo. . Very tasty.. Packging was also very good.. Cheap n yummy.. :)
The quantity was sufficient too.
I had a satisfying veg thali here ages ago and loved it. I was fairly new to the city and enjoyed my baby steps towards discovering Bengali cuisine. From the jhurjhuri to the aam doi to the simple aloo poshto, I savoured the simple meal. The veg thali is the perfect quantity of food.
This small eatery was in my bucket list for a long days. From outside it looks very small but when you enter you'll find seating arrangement for atleast 15-20 people. We stepped in quite late around 2pm so maximum options in menu wasn't available. We tried the polao n chicken korma thali n there was a small gulabjamun also in the plate.
Tastewise no complaints. The rice of the polao was of good quality. But they should include another curry item in the thali. Its hard to finish the polao only with 2 pieces of chicken korma.
Overall good experience and definitely would love to go there to try the rice thali.
Lunch Stopper is located at Sector 5, Salt lake.
Ambience is nice with little sitting arrangements.
Service is quick .
Ordered mixed fried rice & Chilli chicken. Both were well cooked and tasty.
Pocket pinch is reasonable.
Overall a nice place.

Tried Pulao with Mutton Korma from this place. A rather less known place due to the lack of publicity, this outlet has a lot of combo offers going and attracts a lot of office goers due to the economical pricing. Located close to the Oxford Building, the place is relatively small though and cannot accommodate more people at the same time.
I used to get lunch at lunch stopper everyday when I was in college (IEM) break for its clean and home-made like food.I generally do not like Chinese food so I preferred lunch stopper, though they make Chinese food too.Missing lunch stopper with my frnds.Price is not so hefty.I will definitely recommend to those who want hygiene.
Today went there for lunch, we were four colleagues together.
Located near oxford univercity, 10-12 people can accomodate only, so space is very small but very clean and tidy.
We thought to have Chinese but they said that is not available only thali is available, never mind we ordered 3 poulav with mutton korma and 1 poulav with chicken korma, and misti mango doi.
I must say its very reasonable and pocket friendly, quality and quantity both good.
There is no tax or vat, our Total bill was 700 only.
Looking forward to visit again :)
This cute as a button place is value for money and offers good food on a budget. He menu is limited and for lunch it's a pre set meal of yellow polau and chicken curry. The polau is much too sweet but the chicken is well made. The momo selection is wide and loved their chicken fried momos . Very good service.
I loved this place. Small and a little cramped, but who cares. Perfect to visit for a weekday lunch. Food is simply amazing. We had a chicken thali and pulao-mutton. The food was light, tasty and quantity was a lot. Mutton, pulao and the chicken curry were delicious. It was an absolute delight to have lunch there. The mango dahi was the cherry on top. And the bill? Only Rs. 270... Must must visit.
Must try the Polao with Chicken/Mutton kasha...
So delicious it is... loved it 2 much... Nice place to have your lunch @ a decent budget in an area like sector 5, salt lake kolkata
This is very close to my college! So I often go for lunch!
The combos offered are excellent!
The service is fast!
The food is no doubt very tasty!
Ambience is OK! The restaurant is very small n sometimes suffocating when it's crowded!
Overall I would say it's perfect for normal everyday lunch :-)
I am thankful to the Zomato search engine which unveiled this hidden gem of a restaurant – which is also nearby to my office. This outlet is conveniently situated nearby the Oxford University Press office in Sector 5, College more. The restaurant is pretty small and somewhat congested – and can accommodate 15 odd people at a time. However, 1 table cannot accommodate more than 3-4 people due to dearth of space. They do have an LCD placed on the wall as well as a refrigerator storing cold drinks etc!
Nice to see that they offer breakfast as well as dinner – apart from lunch. For vegetarians, there are only a few takeaways – majority of the menu constituting non-veg. I nevertheless ordered their veg thali – which was served after 10-12 minutes. The food looked a beauty overall, consisting of rice, daal, aloo bhurji, aloo-bhindi sabji, papad and a pickle sachet. Rice was fine quality – and they claimed it be a basmati! Daal was nicely fried with small tomato pieces and a piece of chilly for flavour! Aloo bhurji – again, was low on oil and high on taste as well as crispiness – just perfect. Hope other vendors take a few lessons from here as regards preparation of bhurji. Aloo papad was served – which lost its crunchiness within a few seconds – due to the high speed fan (lol). Aloo-bhindi was also – very hot and tasty – the only drawback being that bhindi was overly riped! Hope they use more delicate ones!
Rice – mixed with bhaji as well as daal along with the crispy bhurji was heavenly and I am thankful to the management for this experience – that too @ just 90 Rs. (A.I.).
Service is fine – except the fact that just a single person manages the entire outlet – so expect a delayed response from him! I had to wait too loooooong for my glass of water being refilled. Neither did the person asked me if I wanted to order anything else one I was through with the veg thali (which is ok – but in general, staff do ask this to all customers!).
Nevertheless, this place is highly recommended for good quality and highly tasty food at low prices!
We have visited this Place last week . The food quality is really good , I would say best at this price . We have ordered chicken steam momo as starter ,it was mind blowing a full plate costs Rs80 only .Then we have ordered polao, mutton korma and fish fry .It was really good and value for money .We will definitely love to visit this place again and taste the chinese dishes next time. Though the place is not that big but very cosy .We are extremely happy with the overall experience.

This place is located just beside the infinity think tank in sector 5. Thus restaurant is very small and all the tables are for two. Tried their basanti pulao with chicken korma. It was pretty decent for the price. So reccomended if u r in a hurry and want to grab a bite.
Follow me for more reviews.
Cheers!
Its just like one of the good office cafeteria's that we visit daily. Yes, the food is decent with decent pricing. One can go to have simple "ghar ka khana".
Small joint serving delicious Bengali thali's.
Even the combos are great !
Both quality and quantity are fantastic , value for money .

They have given me delivery in office. Their food quality is very good specially the basanti pulao. Mutton curry can be improved as the mutton piece they gave last time was undercooked and fleshless. I liked there combo dishes.
Its a good place to have your lunch on regular basic....food is good, ambiance is good & prices are affordable...the best part is the food is tasty & healthy .... that's difficult to find at Sector V (without having hole in you pocket).I am a regular at LunchStopper. My favourite Indian food at LunchStopper is Pulao & Chicken Kasha.
Small but comfortable place. Ambiance is nice. Food quality and quantity is great. Value for money. Combos are great. I will try the Bijoli Grill combo some other time.
Situated right beside my office, it in fact has the OUP logo on its menu all over. I wonder if I should sue the place or bribe to do the same for free food. As long as I derive benefits out of it, I am okay with anything. :P
On a serious note, we were really thrilled to try this place out given it is catered to by Bijoli Grill. They also deliver, which makes it easier when one does not want to venture out to eat. We ordered for four fish fries at around 12 in the afternoon. They mentioned that their stock would be coming around 1/1.15 pm. We had no issues waiting for the food to arrive and was more than glad that they bothered to inform beforehand. We finally got the fries around 2pm. The fish fries were well packed in foil, accompanied by french fries, freshly cut cucumber and onion and kasundi. What more can a Bangaali heart crave for lunch!!!! We had the fish fry as starters before delving on to our office canteen food.
The fish fry was pure bhetki with a minimal thin covering of bread crumbs. The marination of the coriander, pudina and masala was well balanced and not overtly spicy. The piping hotness added on to the delicacy, and tasted really comforting with the salad and kasundi. The size of the fries were pretty big, around 8 to 9 inches, and thick. Basically, these were thick slabs of hot bhetki fries for a price on the higher range (125 INR). The price is actually worth it given the kind of quality they have adhered to regarding the fries. At least, indulging once in a while is absolutely worth it.
