Categorising Biriyani into 3 parts-
Rice, Aloo, Meat.
Rice: Non sticky and non oily, quality of rice is decent, having thin grains.
Rice is slightly high on spices, however that blended well with my taste of tongue.
I repeat, 'slightly high'.
Aloo: The quintessential part of any Bengalee, lived upto its expectations in the biriyani. Well boiled, soft and adequately salty.
Mutton: Probably the protagonist of the meal, has shown it's calibre. A generous large chunk of gosht immersed in the rice tasted scrumptious. Had it been abit more tendered, I would have been abit more delighted(you know, the more the merrier 😂)
Taking the price point into concern, this biriyani was no less than impressive, if not supreme.
Lastly, an honest appreciation to the Servicemen. Explicit, courteous and caring were they in their demeanor.

yesterday i visited this place location just opp to hazra- khidirpur auto stand in hazra...5 min walking distance from jatin das metro station! They serve half plate as well as full plate chicken and mutton biriyani..! half plate comprises of 1 piece chicken / mutton ,rice and aloo.. @70 rs ,u can take egg by adding rs 10 where as the full plate includes two piece of chicken / mutton ,1 aloo and 1 egg @140 rs
i tried one half plate chicken and 1 half plate mutton with egg..the quality if biriyani was very good..! Its a quite famous biriyani joint tough..! the aloos were very well cooked. I would like to mention that the chicken they serve is different from what usually served in other joints or restaurants. The chicken here us separately cooked with a spicy sauce..tastes awesome. Recommend to try their chicken biriyani if you are boared with the old boiled chicken served in biriyani everywhere !! We will give the 4 star as the quantity i felt quite less for a person....(half plate) . But its ok from sudden biriyani cravings!!!

A great place to grab a quick biriyani bite. The bill charged also is extremely pocket friendly with half biriyani's costing 70 for each type and full plate biriyani costing 140 for the same. The food taste was awesome and certainly a bit different with the additional spices. A highly recommended place.

The biryani was very tasty .IT is located in hazra, opposite to pathfinder.
Tried their biriyani today, the biriyani was good. But felt it to be a bit sweet which I wasn't really expecting. The piece of Mutton was soft and succulent, potato was soft. But the quantity is a bit less according to the price. Half plate costs 70 and full plate 140/-.
If you have been to hazra it doesn't really mean you would get this secret biriyani zone. And even if you get you may not be ready to have food from their. Well you would think of hygiene and the environment. But one thing more some people do think is this right to eat here look the crowd n all!.. Seriously if you are one of them you will miss some real tasty biriyani. Yes they don't always have the righteous amount of quality but most of the time you would get some excellent biriyani with mutton or chicken at some very reasonable price.

This is one of those eateries i prefer to call a googly joints. Located opposite Pathfinder in Hazra, this eatery from a glance appears as your common roodside shacks but the biryani they serve is a completely different ballgame. A mean biryani with a heavy sprinkling of cardamom provides it with a distinctly wild taste that lingers in your mouth even after swallowing a morsel and what is more, it's cheap yet delicious

This has been my favourite place for pocket friendly biriyani snacks while returning from tuition during my 11-12 days. It's really amazing, roadside stalls like these featuring on Zomato(and getting a chance to review it)..means a lot to their business. Coming back to the Biriyani..the half chicken/mutton biryani costs only Rs50( and full Rs100 I suppose) and it's really as good as any biriyani you get from any Moghlai resturant. They also make chaps at 70 or 80 and kebabs(don't remember the rates) which are damn tasty too. Yes,hygiene maybe a issue for them,also the ambience and sitting..but that doesn't take away anything from the fact that Kolkata's street food rocks. People will warn you a hell lot about hygiene, but honestly,I was their weekly customer for almost 2 years and my digestive system rarely failed due to the "quality" of their food(as feared by the "people").Quantity is good too for a half plate biriyani and the price is as pocket friendly as it can get. Do visit this place despite all of the discouragement you will get from all types of people..they serve authentic biriyani attachment unbelievably reasonable rates. Will surely buy their biriyani again, whenever I go to Hazra again and whenever out of bucks..
tufani Biryani is hands down the best biryani I have ever had for this price range anywhere in this country because tufani Biryani is a brand in itself and people travel from across the country to come and eat here so was I also came to this place from my humble award in a different town just to test the delicacy of Mutton Biryani of toofani Biryani stall I also enjoy to toofani rules especially the egg Tikka roll which is lip-smacking and I come here again and again almost daily to enjoy a hearty protein which meal thanks a lot 5 out of 5 stars

This place is well known to biriyani lovers. You cam get a good quality of biriyani here. Taste of chicken and mutton biriyani both were enough good. Piece of mutton was not satisfying.

Do not have any misconceptions because of its name! This is a very ordinary place with a shabby look, but its food is amazing and very reasonable. Being right in front of my coaching center, we used to have its food almost every weekend. I've had its chicken biryani, mutton biryani and chicken chaap. The quality is simply amazing. The place, however, does not have seating arrangements.

Good enough outlet for tasty Biryani's:
1) Normal quality Rice with well flavors, rich with spices...
2) Potato and meat cooked well with the spices locked in the form of good taste... Quality also normal enough...
3) Taste of little sweetness can also be found in the Biryani... Probably bcz they won't add saffron but sugar...

On a nice afternoon after recommendation from my friends i decided to try this place. Generally i dont like to eat from biryani stalls with minimal seating capacity and zero ambiance but again i was amazed by the biryani quality and quantity they serve. At Rs.50 you get a half plate biryani both Mutton and Chicken and moreover the taste is really really good. The chicken piece was big and juicy. It was not a bad decision afterall and you can definitely have a quick biryani snack at low price here.

It was a planned outing with friends to this small joint located near to PathFinder, Hazra Branch. Don't expect much of a ambience or courteousness from this place as this looks like a street food shop always crowded with students or office staffs. Most of the time you have to stand and eat. Now coming to the food which I ordered was Mutton Biriyani, it was like "Happy Birthday To Me". It was just fabulous, the tenderness of the mutton pieces makes it so juicy that it melts in your mouth. I sweated the whole time when I was eating but didn't at all cared about it. This hidden legend proves to be a true value for money. Looking forward for the next visit.

Today went to the Tufani Biryani with my friends. It is situated just opposite to the Hazra Pathfinder branch. This is a small roadside joint famous for its biryani, available at a cheap price. Today tried their Half Chicken and Mutton Biryani which was totally awesome. The mutton and chicken pieces were juicy and well cooked specially the mutton. The Rice was well cooked and garnished with heart touching spices. If you are thinking that in a half plate biryani you will get less quantity with small chicken pieces, then I will say you are totally wrong. In a half biryani you will get sufficient rice (you can see the picture) with same mutton and chicken available in the full plate. A half biryani can fulfil anyone's hunger.This is a perfect example of Biryani and the best I ever hand. The only negativity is their sitting arrangement. So for me its 4 stars.

A very pocket friendly and good biryani place in the city. Chicken and mutton are equally priced. Half plate will cost you a mere Rs 50 and a full plate will be Rs 100. The chicken is very juicy and tender and the rice is pretty tasty. Although this can never be compared with the likes of Arsalan and Zeeshan. 0/5 for ambience though. There are around 10 plastic stools available for seating. The place is usually crowded in the afternoon by college and office goers looking for a cheap place to subdue their hunger. Food quality is pretty decent. Service would get them 4/5 since food is served pretty quickly there.

The place is very close to my office. Exactly right next to the Pathfinder Coaching. I had rolls and parathas and dum aloo several times. Recently I had their Biryani, the place is very cheap. 50 for half plate and 100 for full plate both chicken and mutton. Half plate biryani contains 1 meat 1 potato and rice. Full plate contains 2 meat 1 potato 1 egg and rice.
The meat pieces were juicy and solid and tasty. The rice too was well balanced and well cooked.
It is a snacks corner. So do not expect sit and dine.

It's a roadside biriyani joint where you can either sit in the road in plastic chairs or pack the stuff and take it home. I usually prefer it packed. The food is cheap and good to taste.
This is the place where our friends group visited very often for tiffin to have delicious Biriyani only at 50 Rs half plate. It was our favourite place because of cheap price and moreover tasty food. Roadside stall mostly preferable for students as well as workers. Personally i love this place because there are a lot of memories of my college days related with this place.

Excellent quality and tasteful Biriyani at a decent cheap price, any biriyani lover will love it, the ambience and sitting area is small and average, some may not like it so taking a parcel and enjoying the biriyani at home will be good enough and the biriyani overcomes everything and stands tall above all!
It is a quite popular Street side biriyani in North Kolkata. I tasted there biriyani, it not that too much good or too bad. One or two times you can try this.

The shop location is too good. It is in hazra near Pathfinder which is literally known to be cream place. The best product of tufani biryani shop is tufani roll. Price is reasonable. I didn't have biryani from that shop. I eat rolls most of the time. The shop does 70% of the business by selling different rolls.
