Located right opposite Ahindra Mancha, Chetla, this small sweet shop is the saviour of the local residents. Quality of a few items is questionable but most of the sweet preparations are pretty decent. I personally like the two kinds of sandesh which they call 'sugar free' but are actually less sweet than the ordinary ones. The good ol' bonde is really good. Singara is good too and so is the common rosogolla. Their fried sweets (pantua, lyangcha etc.) and mishti doi are not upto the mark. But they are doing very good business because of the lack of decent sweet shop in the area.
First of all it is located in Chetla not New Alipore,it is one of the decent sweet shops in the area though prices are bit in mid-range mostly as compared to their quality but you are bound to be satisfied
This is a local sweet shop in chetla near my home.Its an outlet people prefer here after desher khabar.Their singaras are pretty good.Among sweets I love their chhanar jilipi & gujiya too.

A decent sweet shop in and around Chetla, this is a quick option to try some snacks and/or sweets. Tried the Roshogolla and Samosas from this place, which tasted pretty decent.
Situated opposite Ahindra mancha (Chetla) , this is a small shop for sweets and snacks. Been a weekend customer here for last 3-4 months because of classes nearby. Their collection of sweets is pretty vast... Rosogolla, pantua, sorbhaja, chhanabhaja, khirkadam, rasamalai are pretty good... So is their malpoya and amritti. They sell fresh misti doi too. Furthermore their samosas (prepared in the morning and evening) and khasta kachuris (served in the noon and afternoon) are worth munching on. They dont have seating arrangements owing to lack of space. Still this probably is the best outlet of its kind in that locality...
Another relatively new sweet shop in Chetla at CIT Market. The taste & quality of sweets here is better than that in Desher Khabar. The shop is not so big & decorative like Desher Khabar but one will love the sweets here.
