The chicken pieces were very succulent and soft. It was fresh. Very well cooked and tasted amazing. The complimentary salad was also very tasty. Portion was perfect.

However, due to social distancing the number of covers have come down to half the count!!!
Now, coming to the ambience...it will take u back to the mughal days...as during our visit...some classical music were being played...

Good food can make your mood better.. -absolutely proved by Oudh 1590 staff and chef.. We visited the restaurant couple of days ago and had an amazing time there.
Hygiene: They made the place appropriately hygienic and maintained every single protocol of COVID 19.
Staff service: Though due to COVID 19, they are providing self service, still the behaviour of the staff and management was really appreciable. They provided really a great service to us.

Overall it was really a pleasant experience to be there..
The ambience is so cozy and very antic. It's just will be a great experience to eat there. They are famous for their biryanis and the biryani we tried definitely met our expectations

The Nawabi culture in the city. We just loved the ambience and the interior of the place. If you worried in the pandemic situation they had complete sanitization and thermal scanning process. The awadhi food at its best. The biriyani was too good with the firni combo. From the presentation to the taste definitely value for money. Highly recommended for grand lunch, dinner.

We will tried 1 Mutton Awdhi Biriyani , 1 Chicken Irani and 2 firni . Biriyani was perfectly cooked with mild aroma and Chicken Irani was fantastic and last not the least firni was god level .
I recently ordered food delivered to my parents in Kolkata. Ordering was easy and food was excellent. However, Bangalis crave for aloo and egg in biryani and Rann Biryani had neither. You should REALLY state that in the description; they were disappointed! This was a minor misfire, but food was great (according to them).

In this COVID-19 panoramic situation they are strictly following the safety measures. We went to the restaurant and experienced a fine dining with prominent safety and hygiene. And now let's talk about the food.
Ad their Awadhi Biriyani Festival is going on so they are serving some special biriyani dishes. We had SHIKARI BATER PURDAH BIRIYANI(Quail bird Biriyani cooked in Dum Pukht style), SHAHI TANGRI KEBAB(Chicken leg kebabs), Mutton brain massala(Lamb brain in spicy and thick gravy) and Sahi Tukra(Indian style bread pudding). And our verdict is all the foods were best in class. The quality of the food and the ambiance is their USP. Now let's talk about the ratings.

Great taste for Oudh biriyani is famous in Kolkata but I am writing this review to showcase how my fellow foodies can reuse the earthen Hundi of biriyani as a pot for planting indoor plants. Such innovative and eco friendly packaging is available with Oudh only among verious other famous biriyani chains. This shows the care for nature. Handi is not only eco friendly but also reusable.

Review : Chicken Tandoori- It was extremely flavourful but never overpowering. The chicken was crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. Tasted heavenly.
Gulaab Sherbet- It wasn't anything heavenly. Quite normally blended rose syrup with soda but complimented the tandoori wonderfully.

However, the taste of biriyani was not upto mark during my last visit.
I went to Oudh 1590 with my friend to celebrate my birthday for lunch. The staffs were really welcoming and the decor is very elegant.
We had Awadhi style Handi Biryani which was enough for both of us. I must say the tasty is awesome.
We also had Phirni and Kulfi Falooda in dessert to give a nod to our sweet teeth and we loved it.

Visited this place today for my birthday lunch. Although Oudh 1590 was there in my bucket list for long, this was my first visit. As it goes without saying, this place didn't fail a bit to amaze us. The elegant decor, the ghazals and lip smacking Awadhi food - the perfect combination one can ask for.
We ordered:
Galawti Kebab - 4 standard pieces are served and is a must have at this restaurant. The kebabs were well cooked and melted in the mouth.
Lachha paratha - the parathas are thin, slightly sweet to taste,had a wonderful aroma probably of ghee and goes very well with the galawti kebabs.
Murgh purdah biryani - it came in an earthen pot (handi) and had two big pieces of chicken with quite an amount of gravy. The biryani had a perfect blend of the aroma and the spices with the authentic Awadhi taste. It was a treat to the taste buds. Most importantly, the quantity serves two persons well.
Soda shikanji - a blend of jal jeera and soda which works as a digestive as well π.
Last but not the least, the staffs are extremely polite and courteous.
This place truly demands a high recommendation and repeated visits.

Such an awesome traditional and cozy place rare to find. Though we had to queue up for few minutes before entering the restaurant yet, the quality and quantity of food settled up for any mind blocks. Specially the Smocked Tandoori Lobster and Murg Sutli Kebab was worth mentioning followed by tongue tentalising Handi Biriyani. Presentation of each dishes was good too. The staff was pretty courteous too.

After not getting biryani at Paradise, Southern Avenue we three friends went to Oudh 1590 and time was around 11 pm. As usual the restaurant was closed and at that moment the manager came to rescue and after hearing about our experience related to Paradise Restaurant he told us the restaurant was closed but I can arrange Mutton Handi Biryani for us and he packed two mutton handi biryani. Oudh 1590 has a great Royal kind of ambience and it has a good number of cordial staffs. The Chicken afghani kebab,Handi biryani and Murgh Irani taste damn good.Coming to the dessert part,the firni and kulfi falooda was good enough,but the shahi tukda didn't seem to be like shahi tukda,rather it was more like sandesh,though it tasted good. Rating for starter-4.5/5,for main course-4.7/5,for dessert-3.8/5.Pocket pinch for two people-1000 Rs.Though the price is quite high it was worth it.
We had gone for our Dashami lunch at this place. The wait time was not that much. The interior of this place is very classy and gives an awadhi feel. We have ordered galauti mutton kababs, chicken kababs, Lucknowi paratha, chicken salaam, ghoshth biriyani and the very special Rann Biriyani. The galauti kabab and the Rann Biriyani was just delicious and amazing to taste. We had taken Phirni also for dessert which was again splendid. This is a must try when you'll visit here. The service here was quite. Overall it was a good experience here.

I will so far the most cost effective, elegant biriyani I had. Not only that, we had quite many dishes ( some restaurant recommended as well) and the bill was quite quite affordable for a classy place like this.
I have a new destination for having biriyani in town now.. Not only that, the variety of spices in the food here is tasty yet light and easily digestible inspite of belonging to a awadhi gharana and that's what made this one of my top choice.

Recently I visited Oudh 1590 Location-Deshapriya park, I really liked the atmosphere of the place the service provided was also good. The quality of food served and taste is really remarkable I really liked the galoti kaba, the paratha, the soad sikanji, butter chicken but according to my taste preference the mutton raan biriyani was avarage .
The experience was good being a foody if you are found of authentic, rich food(which you dont feel after having it made with low oil consumption) then you must have to visit this place , as they promise to provide a mughal cuisine they actually do. Oudh 1590 is no doubt one of the best in the city. It's the best in terms of every aspect, be it ambience, be it decoration, be it service and obviously the delicious dishes. You would get the true essence of awadhi dishes, with gazals and nawabi decorations.
I would suggest something which I think to be underrated and not one of their signature dishes. Mutton Bhuna, absolutely mouth watering and delicious. So spicy and well cooked mutton pieces. They serve it with 4, quite a bit big size mutton pieces, soft, spicy and juicy. I would rate this dish 5/5. Price is 595 INR. Price might look high, but I think it's totally price worthy. You can have it with butter naan Or any roti items, also can have it with their biryani too.

One of the best restaurants in Kolkata for Mughlai dishes. Interiors are solid wooden made. The place is dimly lit, with Nawabi ambience and ghazals / thumri playing at the background. Itβs a nice fine dine place serving some good Awadhi cuisine. The ambiance is authentic Awadhi style, including the design on the wall, paintings, and cutlery, background Music etc..
Ghost Galawati kebab (rating 5/5) with Lucknow-style Paratha was marvelous. Kebab was so soft that it melted in mouth. One who visits this restaurant must try this dish.
Gosht Handi Biryani (rating 5/5) is their specialty and signature dish. The rice was extremely flavourful. They used very less oil, yet the taste was awesome. Balance of the spices is of optimum level. Biryani contained two large pieces of mutton and one boiled egg. Mutton was very soft and juicy and perfectly cooked.
We had Bhuna Murg (rating 3/5) as recommended by the service staff but it was not that tasty though.
It is located near Deshpriya Park opposite Kamala Girls School. Itβs situated in an alley, but there is parking available near the restaurant. Reservations are not required as itβs first come first serve basis. But due to limited seating capacity you may have to wait for sometime on weekends.
Staff behaviour was very good and polite. Food presentation, quality, and quantity everything was perfect. Prices are slightly on the higher side (average Rs. 1400 for 2) but that is justified for food quality, quantity and ambiance. Overall we had a great experience there.
