As per me Best restaurant in Barasat.... I have ordered Fish Biriyani and Mutton kasa( Names are different and it is as per Barma name)... And foods are best in quality and they have given in a 1500 ML container... I think noone in Barasat is giving Biriyani in this big container Request every one to try it.. This is my genuine review.
We took the national dish of Burma which is Mohinga , fish biriyani , mutton biriyani , ohno khao swey soup.. we love the khaw swey soup , and two unique deserts also.. and the biriyani also tastes awesome.. it comes with nice amount of rice , 1 boiled egg , 1 potato and two fishes or two muttons.. we love this unique dishes.. you can have a more detailed review of every dishes in our youtube channel FOODGAZM VLOGS
Well, this restaurant specializes in Burmese cuisine as per the namesake. I tried the national dish of Myanmar, Mohinga, which was sort of a fish soup with cucumber, peanuts, half slice of boiled egg, lentil cracker and rice noodles was my favorite for sure. The flavors were subtle but has a strong fishy smell. The names of the dishes are too hard to pronounce though, but I liked most of the dishes, not all the dishes tho. Anyway, if you have a curiosity to try out Burmese cuisine, then you're most welcome.

Thank you Burmese Bahar for adding loads of love and elegance to my Sister's specialDay ❤
A very unique themed restaurant at Barasat, as the name suggests they only serve Burmese cuisine, and it was my first time for Burmese foods, I ordered Khaw Mun How- it's basically butter/ghee rice served with some green salad, chicken stew pieces and chicken stalk and a special Burmese sauce. It's a very mild, non spicy dish and I guess the nutrition value is high too, as no such gravy and spices are involved. So, it's different and I liked it very much. As a dessert I tried Yei Baw- a sweet coconut based cold dessert, I didn't like it that much, but for the Khaw Mun How I gave a five star rating. Also, the owner insisted me to try the Danbauk which is the Burmese Biryani. So, as a Biryani lover I tried their Danbauk too, it was okay-ish, not that great compared to the Biryanis we use to have in Kolkata, but it was different, Burmese touch. The soup Mohinga is a good one to try, so if you are in Barasat and want to try something different this outlet is a must visit.
I tried Burmese cuisine for the very first time... It was good but didn't touch my expectation level at all.. I don't know about the exact taste of Burmese cuisine so I am not going to reviewing it... I give the rating on the basis of service, ambience and behavior of owner...
We order Mohinga with Egg ( Price 130 /- ) and Rice noodle in veg soup with coconut milk ( Price 100/- )
Food is amazing , You love it .
Clear and good environment.
Setting place is cool .
I face one issue that was Time take for the cook .
Mohinga with Egg
khao Swe
Yei Baw
Burmese Baklava
Ambiance: 4/5
Taste: 3.9/5
Overall: 4/5
Nice ambience. Not very far from Barasat station.
There i had mohinga, national dish of burma. This is a variant of thupka from Tibet. Very lite nad less spices.
Then I had hat taya with Burmese fish curry. Hat taya is basically Burmese lachha paratha.
Then I had tafu chicken roll. It was just waste of money. 100 rupees I had paid for a roll and the taste was not up to the mark.
In desert, i had hpaluda. It was a multilayered chocolate ice cream with fruits like grapes, raisins, cashews.
Healthy and testy food, not so oily and spice . Very good interior. Homely atmosphere. Great molasses desert from Burma. Hot soups from Myanmar are also very nice
One of the hidden gems of Barasat.
I stumbled upon this cozy, Burmese ethnic themed restaurant a couple of years ago and believe me when I say that this place, their food and the sweet yet stern lady owner(auntie as I call her) never disappoints.
The food is always fresh and carefully prepared, the owner is very sweet and attentive, the ambiance is a total vibe as you can see in these and other’s photographs, you can sit and chill for as long as you like.
It is however a bit towards the pricier end for Barasat but value for money.
Totally recommend.
On the occasion of our sixth wedding anniversary, we went to this lovely Burmese restaurant called "Burmese Bahar".
Well, we were ecstatic to discover how authentic Burmese food could taste at such a reasonable price.
The taste was super good...
Would love to visit again... I highly recommend this place.
We felt really comfortable because of the excellent atmosphere.
Went Barasat for Kalipuja pandals but discovered Myanmar and Had a great journey of Myanmar through food like starting from oh no khao swe to san barham saarteese with all around roller coaster journey having chicken tawa rice roll. Great ending with sweet tooth burmese baklava😋. Authenticity was surely seen with every dish. Must go place

The juice was a little bit excessively sweet.
The taste of chicken masladar was good but not up to the mark.
There service was extremely good and professional.
They are friendly, we have enjoyed a lot.
We had a Great experience here today.
Cuisine is unique to our taste, hence its a good change of our daily culinary habits.
The owner cum chef is passionate about cooking, and you can see that in the way the food is presented.
Ambience is very nice and cozy.
Definitely give it a try.
A very nice little cozy place to have some authentic Burmese food. The decor is nice and gives a good vibe and the food is mouth watering. Just one complaint which I have is the waiting time for food to arrive on the table is a little too much. I know it's a bit difficult for the owner to run this business especially after lockdown but it's my request to look into it. Definitely going to recommend this place.
The place is very attractive..it has a Buddhist touch all over the theme..very peaceful place..all the decoration and ambience is mind blowing..very happy and satisfied to be there..food quality was really good but quantity was a little less according to the price..service was very good..
This restaurant is one of the best restaurants I've visited.
Food 10/10 Ambience 10/10. Waiting time is a bit long. But the food is worth the wait. I am short of words to describe my wonderful experience here. The lady is the most wonderful and friendly person I've met.
Fresh food. Delicious. Awesome.
