I have been in this restaurant since I was a child. In any occasion my family used to visit or order from this restaurant. The ambience is beautiful, staffs are well behaved. Food is also good in this restaurant. Chicken pulao and chicken dakbunglo are the common dishes we keep on ordering. Apart from good Indian dishes, Chinese dishes are also good.
Please improve on the chopseuy part rest everything is very good for any sudden drop in plans

To begin with, this place best suits for the middle class people who is in love with the chinese foods.
Food quality is good with proper ambience.
Well one thing that I should mention is that their menu is pretty exhaustive. We had Tandoori Roti and Mixed Veg Special. The gravy was really tasty. The lighting of the place is really low and the crowd is usually loud. But the food is good.
Good ambience with very good food. Quantity is much more than expectation as per the price. Very cheap and good service
Visited here for lunch and the place was mostly empty except few guests. Right from the entrance, I found the ambiance was great and calm (low light + decor) and is good for quality lunch or dinner. Cleanliness was good. After going through the menu, we ordered 1 Fish Finger, 1 Paneer Pulao and 1 Chicken Reshmi Butter Masala.
Fish Finger -
It was served with Kasundi and onion rings. They were properly fried and had harder texture from outside but was soft after taking a bite. Chaat Masala was sprinkled over before serving. Fillet had the stuffing of properly mashed Bhetki Fish meat with salt and other spices. Taste was excellent as the spices were balanced. The size of the fish fingers were also good.
Paneer Pulao -
Here, a little blunder happened. We ordered Paneer Pulao but they served Veg Pulao thus we found not a single paneer cube was present. We told the staff about the mistake and they took the Veg Pulao and within few mins they served Paneer Pulao. Lots of paneer cubes were present and one can eat this Pulao without anything as it was so tasty. Rice quality was good but slightly oily. It was tasting very similar to Biryani with aroma of Indian spices. Overall, the taste good.
Chicken Reshmi Butter Masala -
It was very creamy, heavy and soothing as it's name. The quantity of the gravy was good and was thick. It was not at all spicy and very rich in taste. Naan or Tandoori Roti is the perfect thing to have this chicken dish. Chicken was also soft and very tasty due to this gravy. This is a must try dish.
Overall, it was a good experience of dining here. The staff was helpful and polite. Service was slightly slower but due to tasty food it can be overlooked. Lastly, we ordered Cold drinks to finish our meal. This place is located near Dunlop Gurudwara.
It is near dunlop, not very easy to find to be frank. The first thing that we noticed was the ambience there, it was pretty soothing. We ordered egg schezwan fried rice, veg gravy noodles and hot garlic chicken and masala cold drinks accompanied them. The food took time for preparing but it was pretty much satisfying I guess. The taste and the quantity was very good. The chicken was well cooked and the gravy tasted delucious. The staff there were helpful enough. Allover a good experience.
Located belghoria expressway, in dunlop, the food here is really nice.
The ambience is completely classy accompanied with soothing music
We ordered:
2 fresh lime soda, one salted and other sweet 5
Mixed chowmin 4
Chilli garlic chicken 5
Coke 4
The food was awesome and flavourful.
The pocket pinch is 550₹ for two

3) Chicken Fried Rice(2)
4) Chicken Hakka Noodles(1)
5) Garlic Chicken(2)
6) Sweet and Sour Chicken(1)
7) Butter Naan(2)
And to be very very honest the quality of the food was delicious and awesome. The food cost is worth of the quality. The Naan was extremely tender, Momos were perfectly cooked, the taste of the chicken items were awesome, the fried rice and the Noodles were exceptionally good....
The staffs here were also friendly and very well behaved...
All over I will suggest to visit this restaurant whenever you get nearby as once you eat here you are never gonna forget about this place in your entire lifetime....

Nothing to say much. Ambrosia is one of the oldest Chinese Restaurants in this region and it has always maintained its legacy. Overall, a good experience as usual.
Had heard about it for long. Today I had the opportunity to visit. The staffs are very courteous. It is located near Gurudwara. The ambience is very nice. Coming to the quality, very well. They were helpful. Sufficient quantity for two. We ordered half tandoori chicken, mixed fried rice, chilli chicken (b/l). The total bill was ₹656. It was definitely worth the money.
Yummy food and good quantity with nice service will visit this place again , good family restaurant with pleasing ambience ,, 5 star from my side
Realy this is Good place for food lover ,mouth watering test in Best, my advise you love it this place and food.also parking facility here, ,
I have been visiting this restaurant since my childhood so do except a certain degree of bias due to the nostalgia attached.
Earlier, may be couple of years back I could have proudly boasted that there's no place serving better food than Ambrosia in the entire Baranagar to Barrackpore locality. However in recent times the quality seems to have detoriated a bit.
The staff was always friendly and I never had a problem of any sort. I've been to this place hundreds of times and still find friendly familiar faces greeting me or my family.
Overall an excellent choice if you're looking for a good dining place with good ambience.
The dragon chicken is too good. The ambience is also good. I recently ordered, chicken fried rice, schezwan chicken and crispy fried fish which was also good, the quantity is enough.👍#Recommended
This is place for family, friends and couple. Not any hate. Their service is very good. N food oh my god , there is no comparison of food... Peaceful decoration. We went there four times in last five months.
Located in Dunlop Area. It's a kind of a Chinese restaurant which offers a wide variety of delicious dishes. The restaurant is mainly famous for its dishes which includes Chicken Hakka Noodles, Lemon Chicken, Schezwan Chicken, Mixed Fried Rice, etc. The quality of food is undoubtedly excellent and the price is also very much reasonable. The staff there is very much customer friendly. So if anyone is looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Dunlop Area then it will be the perfect choice.
It's the best Indo-Chinese restaurant in Baranagar and Belgharia region. It becomes tough to get table in the weekends. The best part of it is that the price is very reasonable. Please try Ambrosia Special Mix Fried-rice.
Nice restaurant at Dunlop....
We ordered mix chowmin and Chilli Chicken which taste really good.... Staffs are good and well behaved too....
Decoration is nice.... I enjoyed dining here.... Totally Recomended.
Amazing and Good Ambience . Must try their Szechuan specially fish Szechuan. This is the best place for nonvegeterian . Biriyani was too good 😌

Been to this place and ordered from this place alot of times and every time i have their food there is only one thing you can say and that is “This is the true meaning of Delicious Food”
Visited this restaurant few weeks back with my friends. 😎 First of all location :- It is not situated near main road, but inside allies. Though it is famous and anyone could show you the direction. From outside it is very well decorated and from inside too. Very classy looking restaurant. Staff behavior is good.

Now FOOD 😋😊:- We ordered Mixed fried rice, Hot Garlic chicken and schezewan chicken. The taste and quantity was good. Price is OK according to the taste, quantity and service and also fabulous decoration. Try chinese food , it is truly awesome and tasty. Will visit soon. 😋
Been there a few times, ordered food many times, they make tasty food. Common choice for a localite. The chinese items are good, but I still remember the butter chicken masala and the Chicken hariyali I had with tandoori rotis a decade ago.
Good place for a dinner in my area... May be a bit costly for some...
The ambience is good here with dim lights and decorations....
The attractive thing here is the aquarium 🤗🤗🤗
Food is tasty...
Service is good😎😎
Overall its a nice place to hit for a dinner party...

T'was the nabami nishi (nabami night), with 8 hungry people travelling from north Kolkata to further north, and turning away from restaurants seeing their queue, when suddenly some of us recalled this place in Dunlop. I have been here twice before, and I think the last time was 12 years ago. There was a crowd, but we luckily got the seats. The ambience was as you expect in a restaurant during puja; crowded and loud. But the lighting of this place did mesmerize us all. Also, a nod to the turtle after years.
Now, we had ordered mixed fried rice, garlic chicken, chilli chicken, manchurian chicken, chicken tikka kebab, chicken reshmi kebab. We had also ordered two mixed noodles but after getting full with the previous, we cancelled them. This would give you a positive idea about their quantity. Also, I should mention, their serving time was quite professional considering all the seats were full.
Now, of course, we were hungry, and everything (almost) seems delicious on hungry stomach, but honestly speaking, we were not disappointed with any of the items. None of them were special, but the quantity won over us all, and the quality did satisfy us. I would recommend this hidden gem to everyone who has not been there yet. One minus point though: please improve your washroom. That's a must.
At the day of Dashami (Durga Puja) I went to at Ambrosia. I ordered Masala Kulcha, Mix fried rice and Chicken Tikka Masala. It was so delicious. The taste of all the items was really tasty and the ambience is too sophisticated. Services of the waiters are also very nice.
Everybody should try once here.
Went there with my famished friends. As we stepped in from the heat and humidity, the waiter greeted us with a smile. The ambience was good and so was the decor. Seemed like they had some reservation for a bday party, balloons and festoons were hung everywhere. We had ordered--
chicken lollipop- very good. Very crispy, unlike other restaurants. And the sauce they serve with it was too good. Worth a try.
chicken gravy noodles- the quantity is good for one. Very well cooked. Delicious. Recommended.
mixed fried rice- very good.
schezwan chicken- good side dish with fried rice and noodles.
Masala cold drinks- normal. Regular.
Allover each and every item was upto the mark. The service was prompt and fast.
Resturent's inside is just amezing. Resturent is good for family, couples, friends. And food quality and quantity is also very good with standard price
• Ambience and Decor: 3/5
This place is located near the heart of Dunlop, usually it starts to overfill from 8 pm onwards. Kids love this place because they are generally attracted by an aquarium setup. Though, according to me, the ambience was unpleasant because the music was a little loud and the decoration and lighting was overdone.
• Customer Service and Staff Behaviour: 4.5/5
The moment we entered, we were greeted and welcomed. Service was prompt and employees were friendly; we didn't have to wait long for the food and as soon as the food arrived they served it by themselves.
• Food: 4/5
We had ordered Fish Finger, Chicken Hakka Chowmein and Chilli Fish; each one of them was served steaming hot and tasted delicious. However, we were provided with a compact form of the menu, which did not have a wide range of varieties.
This place is a good option for north indian food lovers. The tandoori chicken was good, so was the egg tarka. We ordered via Swiggy and the delivery was prompt as well. I think this is one of the places where you can get a dhaba feel. Highly recommended.
Atmosphere is superb. Quality of food can be improved. Service is excellent. Price is a bit high for mediocres (like me). Fair enough for an un-planned dine-out.
I found it on Zomato, it is a nice small place not easy to find with just google. The food was very good and tasty. Friendly staff that was quick in service.
This restaurant is the best option in Dunlop area.. located near Dunlop Gurudwar.. I have been there so many times.. though the place is small but the ambience is really nice.. staffs are courteous.. I have tried many dishes from their both Indian and Chinese menu.. Chicken tandoori, tangri kebab, some Indian chicken side dishes like chicken tikka masala, chicken hariyali masala, garlic naans and kulchas are really delicious.. their chinese dishes are also quite good in taste.. Pocket pinch is also okay.. so if you are in Dunlop area and searching for a decent place to dine out then this restaurant is a good option for you... Recommended..
Have been a regular at this place since last 10 years with last visit on 12th August. Decent ambience and good food, specially Chinese.
Last visit was a bit irritating with waiters asking for clearing our table with food on my plate. Hope they were trying to be over enthusiastic and not trying to get rid of guests to get in new customers with existing customers not yet finishing food!!
Excellent food with courtesy staff providing nice service along with good monotoned music and nice A/C interiors is the one you may required for a nice dining experience after a long day outside.Tried this outlet while on a drive in this area. Most food items like Chicken Clear Soup,Haryali Masala,Tandoori Roti were prepared well.Felt that the Paneer Masala could have been better.Overall a hearty meal for all of us who had a visit there late in the evening for some supper
ordered boiled egg chowmein & paneer pakora. Gave instructions to restaurant for less spicy chowmein & less chilli in pakora. they prepared the food in the right way following my instruction. Great service.
I have visited this place around 3 months ago..this restaurant is located just after gurdwara of Dunlop..it would be a bit tricky to find this restaurant out.. atmosphere is very good inside the restaurant...staffs are well behaved...I would suggest them to have a bit more light on the tables...
Coming to food - we have ordered chicken kabab and crispy chili baby corn and baby corn was just awesome..it was crispy and spicy..but the kabab was not up to the mark..it was a bit dry and less spicy..so,I suggest not to try kabab from here..
In main course we ordered butter naan, mixed fried rice, dry chili chicken, afgani chicken, paneer butter masala..
All the main courses were good enough..and the quantity was also good..
Specially the mixed fried rice and dry chili chicken, these two has taken my heart away..they were so good that I can't explain..
One more thing is that one staff will always be there with your table to serve the food and they haven't even taken a long time to make the dishes..
Overall service was very good and I'll look forward to visit this place again....
A place where I used to visit until quite a few years back. Food is great. However presentation needs to improve. Same for the ambience which needs to be necessarily enhanced in order to keep it at par with the other standard restaurants. We ordered :
1. Chicken hot and sour soup (5/5): Really yummy in taste.
2. Mushroom soup ( 3.5/5): Watery and very bland in taste
3. Chicken steam momo (4.5/5): Delicious. But the size of the momos served were smaller than previous occassions. Also, the chutney served was a bit more salty than reqd.
4. Chilly dry fish (4.5/5): Good quality and taste. The amount of veggies can however be increased.
5. Mushroom hakka chowmein (4.5/5): Taste wise very good but it needs to reduce the oil content . Also, there is some problem with the quality of prawns used.Need to work on that else it is good.
6. Hot garlic chicken (4.5/5): Tasty
P.s. the staff were very courteous and attentive as they have always been. Also, they need to add the veg momo option.
Located at Dunlop, They are one of the Best in this locality (between Sodepur and Sinthi - through B.T.Road) - as far as food delivery section is concerned!
Today the restaurant I write about is a place from where I have been ordering takeaways/phoning in and even visiting for almost 15 years now. It started small, but gradually became popular enough to open another branch. Now one reason for that could be lack of decent restaurants around, but I think the food they have been consistently serving overrides the lack of options factor.
Ambrosia in north Kolkata / Calcutta (City of Joy)s Dunlop area perhaps would have been better known to people who don't live nearby only if our media hadn't had a disgusting south Calcutta (and recently added panchayat areas) bias.
But more on that some other time maybe, the point we're trying to make here is that this place has hardly ever failed us in terms of quality and quantity even though prices have gone up significantly over the years (a meal for two would cost you approx Rs 800, about the same as Chung Wah or BBQ).
The decor is simple with muted lighting, an aquarium with a tortoise (hardly think that's legal) and comfortable seating space for about 60. The menu sticks to Chinese and north Indian. While I like their tandoori items, I find the Chinese to be better.
So this week when I walked in, it was Chinese that I ordered. I was hungry and decided to do away with soups and starters and straightaway went to main course, #KoreanFriedRice and #SchezwanTigerPrawns with #ChineseRoastChicken.
It wasn't lunchtime and the restaurant wasn't packed either but it didn't take long to get my orders on the table, piping hot. The #KoreanFriedRice came with an abundance of meatballs, prawns and chicken. It's different from the usual fried rice and has gravy mixed in it but not like a rice and curry. It was quite tasty.
The #SchezwanTigerPrawns went perfectly with the rice and complemented it with its not too hot flavors. The quantities were huge enough to serve more than 2 people. I finally had to get the #ChineseRoastChicken packed for dinner.
People from the other parts of Calcutta, if you come visiting down north (or if you are coming to Dakshineswar,Kolkata), keep this place as your lunch/dinner option. You won't be disappointed.
butter masala kulcha was too good nd soft... mixed rice is d best as always. egg tarka was so so. will recommend to provide cutlery set with food, nd provide some tissue like other restaurants. moreover d delivery boy was nt from Zomato. dts strange. overall food quality is good as always.
Satisfied with the service.
A decent place.😋 Food was very good there..😊 and nice and peaceful ambience..😇 Though overpriced, you'll love the taste and freshness of the food. The interior is beautifully decorated with different colored lights. There is a fish aquarium with a cute turtle in it 😍🐢I have visited this restaurant this month. Their non veg dishes are great. But there is a delay in serving food.
Very good place for having dinner. Very good behaviour from staffs. Prices are little bit of low but quality is up to the mark. Easy to reach the venue. Seats are always available even during the Puja. Hopefully will go again and try different dishes.
This is a very good restaurant started a couple of decades ago. It's situated in a peaceful area near Dunlop Gurudwara. Very unassuming from the outside. The ambience is quite good and relaxing. From the very beginning their prices were reasonable, quantities more than sufficient, quality and taste of all the items real good. All these are being maintained till date. They serve Chinese and North Indian dishes. Service is prompt. All the staff are young, courteous and efficient. They keep a keen eye on the client's every need under the guidance of their manger who is a wonderful gentleman. In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in this area. Worth visiting.
Chicken Bharta taste like Chicken tarka ... Dont recommend
One of the good restaurants in the Dunlop area.
The decoration and ambience both are very nice.
It is a good restaurant to bring family and friends.
Food quality is average and not as per the price.
We tried mixed fried rice and chilli chicken and chilli fish. Test is average.
We tested malai kabab also which I liked most. But the other foods are average in quality.
Service and behaviour are polite.
No parking place is available here, you need to park cars and bikes on the roadside.
Overall a good restaurant with a nice atmosphere with few good items.
A decent nice and peaceful ambience. The interior is beautifully decorated with different colored lights. There is a fish aquarium with a cute turtle in it 😍🐢I have visited this restaurant this month. Their vegetarian foods are good in taste. It's a nice restaurant .
Experience is to good, food quantity also good and staff behaviour is very nice 👍
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ambrosia Restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience. My visit was to celebrate a special occasion, and Ambrosia did not disappoint.
Ambiance:
Ambrosia exudes an elegant and inviting atmosphere. The soft lighting, tasteful decor, and soothing background music set the perfect tone for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're here for a romantic date or a family gathering, the ambiance suits all occasions.
Food and Drinks:
The food at Ambrosia is nothing short of exquisite. We started with a delicious appetizer that was as visually pleasing as it was flavorful. The main course was a culinary masterpiece. I had the pleasure of savoring the chef's special, which was a perfectly cooked filet mignon with a rich truffle sauce. Each bite was a burst of flavors that danced on my taste buds. The wine selection was impeccable and complemented the meal beautifully.
Service:
The staff at Ambrosia went above and beyond to make our evening special. The service was attentive and unobtrusive, and the servers were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The attention to detail and genuine care for our dining experience was truly impressive.
Price:
While Ambrosia may not be the most budget-friendly option in town, the quality of the food, service, and ambiance more than justifies the price. It's a place for those seeking an upscale dining experience, and I found it to be worth every penny.
The first day I went to Ambrosia restaurant. My friend's birthday is very beautiful inside. The behavior of the restaurant staff was fair. But I didn't find any difference in the food.I got a taste of Chili Chicken and Fried Rice like all the other shops.Anyway, the place is very beautiful,
Very good restaurant for family, friends and kids. The atmosphere is very good. The service is also very good. The restaurant is neat, clean and well decorated. The decoration of the restaurant is very good specially light decoration is very beautiful. The sitting arrangements are very good. The ambiance is good.
Many varieties of foods are available here. Here you can get delicious foods with reasonable price. The food quality is very good and the taste of the food is also very good. There are a aquarium. The fishes and the tortoise are very cute. Really a lovely place. I want to go there again.
I am so happy I found a place like this! It’s perfect for a drink or two with mates. I do wish they keep more of the beers on the menu though. A Kingfisher Ultra not being available is disheartening!
The food here is just top notch! I always forget to click pics but I tried the Gondhoraj Chicken Tikka and Kosha Mangsho with Rotis and Garlic Naan! It was just 🔥
I am definitely going back!
A multi cuisine restaurant very near to Dunlop crossing. It's more of Chinese in decor but serves Indian and tandoor as well. Priced at the mid range, this place serves quality food considering its location. The utensils they use and the support staff etiquette will remind you of a kolkata restaurant at 2006.
We tried plan tandoori roti and chicken methi malai(6pcs B/L) and they were good. Tasted more like reshmi chicken only and looked alike as well.
Recently visited Ambrosia restaurant with family . Nice ambience, food is good and decent portion size according to prices, though a bit spicy. Over-all good experience, nothing to complain about
Food was pretty good there..😊 and nice and peaceful ambience..😇 They serve Chinese and North Indian dishes.. It's situated near Dunlop Gurudwara..
Pretty old , overall decent food joint for baranagar area. All types of Fried rice are very tasty. However, cost increased for majority food item
A decent place. Though overpriced, you'll love the taste and freshness of the food. I have visited this restaurant for years. Their veg and non veg both dishes are great. It is located on a prime location of dunlop,Near gurudwara. A must visit place if you come near dunlop.
