If and when in Kolkata, surely visit this gem of a place. We went there on a Wednesday... and it was Happy Hour on most of the house cocktails and Kingfisher Premium. We ordered our favorite – Dark & Stormy(s). Great cocktails. We also got some truffle fries which I would 100% recommend getting. The view is great from up above. Also, the art on the ceiling is pretty fun. Surely try out this place.
To start, we ordered the Avocado and Burrata Toast and the Japanese Chicken Skewers, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The avocado was perfectly ripe, and the burrata added a creamy texture that elevated the dish to new heights. The chicken skewers were also a hit, with a delicious marinade that added a touch of sweetness and a hint of heat.
Next up, we ordered the Steamed Fish and the Spicy Halal Guys Chicken Rice, and we were not disappointed. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a tender and flaky texture, and the spicy chicken rice was the perfect balance of heat and flavor. We also loved the Tom Yum Chicken Noodles, which had a perfectly balanced broth that was both spicy and sour.
For our pasta course, we tried the Parmesan Tortellini with Truffle Butter and Carrot Cream, and it was truly a standout dish. The tortellini was filled with a rich and creamy parmesan cheese, and the truffle butter and carrot cream added a depth of flavor that was truly unforgettable.
For dessert, we ordered the Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake and the Tiramisu, and both were the perfect way to end our meal. The cheesecake was creamy and rich, with a delicious biscoff crust that added a touch of crunch. The tiramisu was also a hit, with layers of creamy mascarpone and espresso-soaked ladyfingers.
Overall, our dining experience at SAZ- American Brasserie was truly exceptional. From the delicious food to the attentive service, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the Camac Street area of Kolkata.
After hearing a lot from a lot of people. Finally I recently visited this new talk of the town located inside Fort Knox building. The entrance has a beautiful quote written. The whole place is mainly divided into 3 sections primarily exterior hookah section, interior section which has DJ, Dancefloor and bar section, and also a "member's only access" section for a much more premium experience with a library.
At first look you are going to like the vibe and decors of the place. They also have drawn on the ceiling. Why don't you go find yourself what the paintings are about!?
Service was prompt by the courteous staff there.
Now as everything boils down finally to the taste of food. In one verdict food here is surely something I would love to explore again and again. My personal recommendations being spinach crepe and tenderloin steak sandwich. Was surprised by such well cooked steak specially tenderloin, though the bread needs to be more soft, it went a bit crunchy and thus hard.
Also tried a mocktail namely Do You Like Long Walks. They have really put into efforts to give the best in eveything!

This place has now been renovated and looks quite good the interiors. We visited on 25th evening and after an hour wait indoors we could find the place outdoors where we could smoke the shisha.
The shisha flavours were nice and the outdoor seating area was good. Only problem was that it was quite small and got crowded with others who were standing to smoke. Wish the area was much bigger.
The food and drinks were good too. I also would appreciate a bit more vegetarian options on the menu.
Saz is an amazing place to hangout with your friends. They have a pretty city view and both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The burgers of this place are lip-smacking , especially the lamb burger ! Also the new york cheesecake is a must try ! Cost for two is 1800 INR.
I had ordered every strong cocktail available on their menu and it were all amazing. Nothing like the usual ones you get in other places.
Food portions were small but absolutely delectable, taste and presentation wise.
What we ordered : Hoisin glazed pork belly, seafood board, peri peri grilled chicken wings, mushroom and truffle pizza.
Service was top notch. A dedicated smoking area would've been better, right now it's just the outdoor seating which is used for smoking purposes.
Please note this place adds service charge to your bill, you may get it deducted, it's not mandatory.
Located in camac street, this brassiere is serving up some great food. The ambiance here is top notch and the staff is very courteous. There is an outdoor seating area available as well. They do have hookahs and the bar is definitely there. The food here is good but in my opinion it’s a bit pricey. Do visit this place with friends and family and have a great time here.
Legit, well mixed cocktails with a great ambience. The best part about this place was that the volume ratio of conversation to music was very balanced which is hard to find these days.

Lounge/ bar with awesome food and great service. Pizza was great. Only problem was the table was tiny and after keeping d pizza there was no space for plates. Also they charged mandatory service charge which was a big downer. Overall though it was a great experience.
Beautiful place.. Well behaved staff members.. All over a lovely experience.. Will visit again
SAZ, recently opened its door in Kolkata has introduced the American brasserie culture in the metro. Enjoy their long vast bar preparing some unique cocktails and couple them with quintessential American culinary.
The interior inside SAZ did really interest me – derelict finish on the wall, neon signage and modular diner seating arrangement that transport us back to the era of 70’s pop culture. I was so fond of the private members space inside SAZ that I spent my whole autumn afternoon inside the room. I found it discrete and intimate; interior is beautifully appointed with leather couches, book shelves, glass ceiling helps to bath in natural sunlight.
To start off with the Kale, Melon Beetroot Salad. The fresh and crunchy salad dressing with goat cheese, quinoa and caramelized walnut and generous drizzle of olive oil gives a tangy flavour. One have a option to combine this with Gin and Tonic. The secret of a perfect G&T is mixing rings of orange/lime and cucumber with dash of cardamon tincture over 60 ml gin and top it up with chilled tonic water. For finishing one may spank a rosemary strand and brush it on the brink. Over here they use Beefeater but I always prefer Bombay Sapphire. By the way, they call this drink Of All The G&T’s In The World.
Aside these couple of other cocktails to hit upon. Say Hello To My Little Friend – a mix of campari and gin served on rocks with grapefruit and lime juice. Finished with dash of Himalayan pink salt. Another whisky and coffee based cocktail was Life is Like a Box of Chocolate You Never Know What You Are Going To Get. Seriously?! Bourbon mixed with nitro cold brew coffee shaken up with dash of angostura bitters and salt. Finished with a cinnamon stick.
The cocktails turned me on but these long names turned me off. Honestly, who can remember these or can say it to the server. Found this very weird.
In the appetizers, there were taco and pizza. Tacos Al Pastor is a grilled pork taco stuffed with salsa and avocado paste. Though the proportion of meat was lesser to my preference but then the taste was fantastic while sinking teeth through crispy taco shell. Squeeze some fresh lime on the top to amp up the flavour. Spinach and Artichoke Pizza is a paper-thin crust pizza topped with roasted garlic, cheese, spinach, and artichokes. Surprisingly there was tomato puree as one of the ingredients. I would rather prefer more white cheese to make the pizza more moistened till the edge.
In grills, there were fish and paneer. What can be better than the Classic Fish & Chips. Fresh catch barramundi (locally known as bhetki) coated with beer batter results in perfect crispy and had a golden brown color coating. But inside was pipping hot, soft and super tender. I am very very fussy about this British invention from my years of staying with them and I must this one was impressive. Enjoy this hot fry with homemade neatly log cut potato fries and cold tartar dip. Spicy Cottage Cheese Rice is an utterly flavourful dish perfectly recreates a New York City halal cart classic for vegetarians. Paneer (cottage cheese) is marinated with herbs, lemon, and spices served on the bed of rice golden with white creamy yogurt sauce layer in between. Its one complete platter.
Finally in the dessert section nothing is better than ending with pie and pancake. Buttermilk Pancake has three pancake layers stuffed with white chocolate chip and crumbled cookie. Covered with fresh cream, chocolate sauce and maple syrup. Topped with blue berries. Classic Banoffee Pie is another British classic. A sweet and crumbly cracker biscuit base with a thick layer of caramel, rows of freshly sliced bananas, a generous blanket of freshly whipped cream with shavings of caramel toffee. Cannot be anything sweeter to end with.
After sunset this outlet gets transformed into a different place with neon red lights and thumping music. All connoisseurs from the city shall drop them a visit. Keep time in your hand when you visit as the kitchen is relatively new and service is slow.

This restaurant has a good ambience. However due to less crowd we could not feel the exact vibe. But the view and the food is great. You will enjoy definitely if visited with friends or for a date.
