The place is different in a positive way.
The raw walls with hand graffiti with a rugged look is cool. π
It does not carry the PORT story very strongly , but with the staff in uniform and cafe in a port with a serving train running around you and reaching out to you with the dips and small food trays
Is fun.
The vegetarian food is good , but I liked the main course more than the starters.
The Swiss fondue is a avoid as it's half conceived .
Rest dal and allu is π―/π― .
Breads are done well with detailing.
Although this was a smaller / simply Durga puja menu , but I guess the elaborate one will be better.
Will visit again.
Loved this place awesome for vegetarians , must try their specialities
Kidβs favourite restaurant.. food is good and the quantity.. they gave complimentary lavash with variety of sauces and chutney and it was awesome.. train concept is something which attracts kids to this place..
One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Kolkata, Port 15 offers a quaint charm of rustic port settings of South India. The miniature works in the restaurant make it more attractive. Cafe Proof is their own chain.
Food is somewhat good : 3/5
Ambiance : 4/5
Staff : 3/5
They also serve Jain food. One of the best things that I love about them is their way of serving menu card - on a miniature train that runs across the seating area.
Amazing food, loved the taste of the food. And unique experience of train delivering side items, service was also great.Highly recommended.
So Finally Was At The Newly Opened Themed Pure Ved Restaurant Which I've Wanted To Visit Since A Long Time With Family.
Location : CB 15, CB Block Salt Lake, Near CC1. Opposite To Puruliya Bhawan.
Ambience & Feel : Well A Full Railways Based Restaurant. Right When You Enter, You'll Get The Feels Of Dockyard Types. With Hanging Lights Over Tables In Shape Of Containers. Small Tracks All Over The Place, On The Boundaries. Even It Has Been Connected From Outside. Pretty Decor, Comfortable Seating. The Toy Train Brings The Starting Complimentary Sauces And Chutneys With Some Lavash Crisps To Have Till You Order Starters. All Walls And Table And Crockery Had Some Symbols Or Paintings To Make You Feel The Theme.
Main Attraction Is Their Rail Setup.
Service & Staff : Quite Fast Service And Very Humble Staff. Very Well Behaved.
Food :
Starters :
β’ Achari Paneer Tikka Rs 345 :
House Special Spices And Tangy Achar Is Marinated Overnight To Bring In Outstanding Flavours When Roastes In Clay Oven With In House Cottage Cheese. To Be Really Honest, I Didn't Like It Very Much Felt It To Be Classic Paneer Tikka Only. Paneer Was Soft And Full Of Flavours.
β’ Crispy Chilli BabyCorn Rs 285 :
An Ethnic BabyCorn Dish Superbly Popular As A Starter Everywhere. No Details Required, The Sentence Says It All. Best.
β’ Lasagne Alle Vegetariane Rs 355 :
Layers Of Flat Pasta Sheet Baked With Alternating Layer Of Slow Cooked Vegetables And Cheese. Really Loved The Layers, Perfectly Cooked And Cheesy Completely. Was A Less Spicy, I Think The Red Gravy Could Have Been Made A Bit Spicy. Overall Liked It. Presentation Was Bang On, Haven't Seen Anything Presented Like This Anywhere.
β’ Jalapeno Cheese Poppers Rs 235 :
Bite Sized Fried Jalapenos Poppers Pack A Punch With The Cream Cheese Filling. Best Of The Starters, Completely Filles With Melting Cheese. And Lovely Presentation. Delicious. Mamy Big Restaurants Aren't Able To Serve Such Cheese Poppers.
β’ Cheese Fondue Rs 575 :
Special Cheese Sauce Made With 5 Different Types Of Cheese And Served With Grilled Sauteed Veggies And Toasted Tuscan Bread Cubes.
Loved The Cheesy Dip, Was Droolicious. And Having The Veggies Drowned In It Was The Best Part. Like It Was Cheese All The Way..!!
The Sauce Wasn't Too Thick Nor Too Liquidy, Perfectly Balanced. And The Flavours Of Herbs Were Also In Perfect Proportion.
Best Were The Grilled Sauteed Veggies, Man O Man, Could Have It With Plain Roti Also. It Had Mix Of Baby Potatoes, Carrot, Babycorn, Black And Green Olives And Broccoli.
Main Course :
β’ Dumpukt Paneer Rs 395 :
Makhani Paneer Cooked In Seasoned Onion Tomato Gravy And Served With Live Charcoal Imparting A Lovely Flavour. I Really Loved The Taste, Delicious Gravy, We All Loved It. Must Try If You Are Here. Only One Set Back, I Personally Felt It Was Over Salty. Should Have Added A Less Salt.

Black Urad Dal Simmered Overnight On Clay Oven And Cooked With Tomatoes And Fresh Cream. Perfect Dal, Creamy And Yummy.

β’ Hyderabadi Dum Biryani Rs 295 :
Classic Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, The Thing Which I Would Like To Point Out Is. It Was Obviously Packed With Flavours Completely, Delicious. My Point Was That It Wasn't Heavy, Generally After Having Rice We Start Feeling Heaviness, But The Rice Was Light And Being A Biryani It Definitely Was Light. Which I Liked The Most..!!
β’ Butter Masala Kulcha Rs 115
β’ Butter Roomali Chapati Rs 85
β’ Butter Tandoori Roti Rs 85
All The Breads Were Super Soft And Delicious, Liked All.

Autopsical Rating :
Food 10/10
Ambience 9/10
This place has incredible food!
Would rate it 11/10!! Must visit
Every dish we ordered surpassed our expectations.
They offer all cuisines: Chinese, Indian and italian. The highlights of the meal were the spinach and broccoli soup, aglio olio Momos, bhut jolokia paneer, roomali roti, dal and the shot 15. Service was great and the serving quantity of every dish was more than satisfactory!
I highly recommend this place for all Vegetarians specially. The menu is so extensive in variety.
Located behind city centre, this place is easy to find in Salt Lake.
To my surprise ...i loved this place...
The ambience i would say is decent...bt the eye-catching factor wud b its toytrain serving the appetizer plus the menu...my son was super excited and engaged the entire time...
Coming to staffs...the one who was assigned to our table was not well versed of the details of the items and also lacked suggestions...
Thank God!! Another one took over for solving the queries ...
At the start they provide complimentary appetizer (lavash) with around 4 to 5 kinds of dips...( Mint chutney...pineapple dip...salsa... ketchup... mayonnaise cheesy dip)
Rarely we find a tomato soup to be tasty...bt this one won my heart( although a little sweet it was)...
Corn soup was again good...
We ordered their specialies...
Corn kebab and Charcoal paneer...
Corn kebab was okayish bt panir was actually quite good...
Babycorn was a dissapointment...too sweet ... probably full of ketchup...
Veg au gratin wasnt at par with the price...
Quantity was less plus it wasnt in the right consistently (least expected)
Next for main course we again taken their speciality call...
Charcoal naan, bullet kofta and spinach corn( our choice)...
Charcoal naan a super disaster...tasteless ...infact a simple butter naan imparts a much better taste..
Bullet kofta was the showstopper...
Perfect mix of sweet tangy and spices in the garvy...with paneer koftas in bullet shape...
Spinach corn was too average...needs improvement...
They also serve kulchas in wheat dough...which again is an advantage for the health freaks...
We ordered a virgin mojito plus fresh lime soda too...
Mojito was good bt fresh lime wasnt upto the mark...
At the end they serve u churan shots...
Dissolved churan in mini plastic bottles.. for better digestion...a new kind of concept here in Kolkata...
All in all a thumbs up experience!!
"choo choo ... π£π£!!! Moving train is coming to deliver your food at your table ππ!!! "....

Mouth Watering food, and very hospitable staff I must say..the ambience is very nice and cosy.... obviously can visit with family or friends... one of the best in salt lake sector 1ππ»ππ»β€β€
One of kind guilt free places where food is being served by trains, your bowl is being replaced by packaging containers and only place where you get Charcoal Naan. Yes Port 15 has some awesome design theme that covers the entire place, great music and nice food. We tried the following items
Makhani Penne Pasta π
Alip Olio Momos
Port 15 Mojito- Chilli
All the item are really good and service is awesome. You get men in uniform of sailor serving you the best vegetarian food around.
Had dinner here of Paneer butter masala, tandoori roti, and white sauce. Interior furniture lightings decoration and menu card is also provided through toy train which runs around the restaurant near customers.
ground floor comprises of sweet and savouries shop named Parampara, it's different from normal sweet shops in terms of products. Upper second floor has got a hookah bar although I don't have and don't suggest as per personal lifetime self-ban of not using any sort of intoxicants.
Overall food quality is good . The mail attraction train was not working . After telling multiple times also they did nt started train . Hopefully next time we can get that. But food is very tasty
We we a group of 10-12 people. Food was awesome, we had soup, Chinese bhel, baby corn, brocoli Malai, cottage spinach ravioli, paneer tikka butter masala, mix haryali handi, Dal (black and yellow) and assorted roti. Although we were little disappointed by brocoli (it was very sweet, even for a Malai dish), every was very happy with everything else. The best part is, the quantity was sufficient. One main could be shared by 4 people.
The staff were cordial, knowledgeable, quick.
The food delivery was a little slow, but given that they were booked full house, I wouldn't complain.
Please note, book before you go.
Such an amazing atmosphere. I really really love the food quality and the quantity of food is also very much. The restaurant is really amazing and there is no wifi for talking to each other which I love the most. Must visit. Highly recommended β€ππππππ
