We wanted to give this restaurant a try and went there one fine evening.
The ambience was really nice. The decor was pretty. The food was good too. Although it can be a little pricey for some people.
There was not a lot of space and there was no restroom or a sink for that matter to wash your hands which I found a little inconvenient.
When it comes to the pizza 🍕 it was really nice. The crust was a bit too crunchy for my taste but the toppings were fresh and good quality.

Za: Italian Bistro - Where Pizzas Shine
Searching for an authentic, satisfying pizza experience in Kolkata? Look no further than Za: Italian Bistro on Camac Street. In a city where good pizzas can be hard to come by, Za has established itself as a go-to destination for pizza lovers.
Recently, I had the pleasure of indulging in their Ranch Pizza, and I must say, it was a culinary delight. The flavors were balanced to perfection, and every bite was a celebration of taste. It's moments like these that reaffirm my trust in Za's ability to consistently deliver excellence.
Za: Italian Bistro offers much more than just delicious pizzas; it provides a quaint and cozy atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing meal. However, do be prepared for a potential wait as the dining area is not extensive. But believe me, the wait is well worth it.
In a city where good pizzas are a rarity, Za shines as a true gem, serving up Italian goodness that leaves your taste buds craving more. If you're seeking an unforgettable pizza experience in Kolkata, Za: Italian Bistro is a must-visit. 🍽️
Location:
On Wood Street, back side of Pantaloons (Camac St).
Small cafe with about 5 tables, simple decoration but looks good.
Service:
Very prompt and helpful, attentive to the needs of the customer.
Ordered:
* Burrata Cheese and Vodka Sauce with Sourdough Bread: very soft and flavourful burrata cheese in a tomato based sauce, served with nicely toasted garlic bread, excellent taste.
* Vietnamese Coffee: intense coffee dripping from a steel filter on a base of milkmaid and ice cubes, to be stirred before drinking, rich taste, fabulous taste.
* Tiramisu: perhaps the best in the city, very soft sponge with mascarpone cheese and coffee, creamy, melt in the mouth.
Overall, highly recommended!
Food was fabulous, and prices quite reasonable.
Super cute cafe for a date with my mom! We loved it so much.
I’m quite fond of the garlic aioli and I’ve barely seen a cafe make it with such precision. Yum garlic bread too
I am in love with this place because of the food and the homely vibe.
Let's start we the food - we ordered avocado tomato sunny-side-up sandwich which was crunchy, well seasoned and had a perfect balance of taste; we also tried the fettuccine in truffle oil and the smoothness in every bite makes one crave for more; we had a cucumber celery cooler to drink which was very refreshing.
The ambience was very warm and minimalistic and the service was great.
Had a great time and surely making this a regular spot now
Pocket pinch - Rs. 1500 for 2 max
A really cute cafe. Loved it a lot. We ordered a pizza and a lemon iced tea there. The price was pretty fine but gotta say that the decor, vibe, environment and the behaviour of the staff lady appealed us a lot. You'll get a cozy vibe from the cafe for sure! I plan to visit there again sometime soon. Very comfortable and nice hospitality
Very small and comfortable place, with good Italian food. But there was one slight disappointment- They said they had a drinks menu, but there wasn't any menu showing the items. Otherwise, the food was really good and quite easy on the pockets as well.
The Assorted Meat Pizza was crisp and cheesy, and the crust well made. The Ravioli was amazing too.
One more thing, the place is a little bit distant from the metro stations, so you might have to walk a bit to get there, but if you are into Italian cuisine, this place is a must try, provided if keeps delivering as it did today. Thank you.
Cozy little place with bright interiors, well-informed courteous staff and very tasty food. Pizza and ravioli are must haves here. They also offer iced and hot coffee (which aren't printed on the menu). Not very expensive. Compared to Fabrica de la Pizza, comparable portion size and taste and a lighter bill.
"Cute little place with lovely food"
It's a tiny little place with minimalist decor in white. Instaworthy definitely!
We actually went here for desserts, but ended up ordering home style ravioli in pesto sauce with a dash of feta. Oh even thinking about the pasta now, it's making me drool, it was so good. Definite thumbs up.
Since the pasta was so good, we also wanted something else which was light. So we ordered cheesy garlic bread. They even customized it to how we wanted it. Commendable!
Finally, we ordered a Tiramisu. Yeah nothing exceptional, I guess it was missing the rum soaked ladyfingers, but nevertheless, delicious.
The only thing that I'd suggest to this place is to include coffee on their menu. Yeah, and all you hot chocolate lovers, try the hot chocolate. It's thick and decadent. Perhaps, one of the best hot chocolates that I've tasted.
Good service, polite staff, Cute decor, great location and last but not the least, delicious food.
Totally impressed with it. I hope they keep up the good quality..
