I really liked this place. As a foreigner (and new to India) I was a bit confused to begin with, but the staff were very polite, patient and helpful. There's an English menu, I recommend the poori set and finish with kerseri for dessert if you have room. Fantastic prices, plentiful refills and a very charming interior with a nice atmosphere. Really good.

You got few but still plenty of variety vegetarian dishes here. Masala dosa, ghee dosa, poori set etc are much tasty. And Kesari is one of my favourite here .This hotel is very famous here (in Kollam Town) and crowded most of the time especially in night. Sometimes we have to wait to get a seat if having more than two or three members with us and the wait is worth for sure. Meals is available at lunch time, it's average . I had launch from here twice and both time the rice was stiff.

Its difficult to find good pure vegetarian hotels . This hotel is one of the best in town and serves some delicious vegetarian south indian foods . The place looks like a renovated house . Gives 90's hotel vibes . Some must try items are masala dosa, filter coffee, vada , kesari . Parking is very limited. You can easily find this hotel with the help of g map. Happy fooding ....

The ambience does give out the vintage vibes and it is indeed a well maintained restaurant that has been through the test of time. The taste is absolutely amazing and the pricing is on point for the delicious food it serves

I reached around 2.30. By then it was all over. Then there was only chapati and salt dough. I got the salted flour very hot. It was a hopeless taste. The chapati was a flop. There was no heat or burning. felt a greenish red. There was no tea coffee item. What I like a little more is Uppuma. The combination was chutney and sambar. The washing area was not very clean

The place still retains the old charm and evokes nostalgic memories . Serves traditional vegetarian food with all it's aura & taste and cleanliness. Much cheaper than the newly sprung Veg. restaurants in Kollam.

One our first day at Kollam, me and my uncle from wife's side set out to find a good, neat vegetarian restaurant in the vicinity of where we were staying. The hopes of finding such a place in the heavily market oriented area was low, but to our utter surprise, we suddenly noticed a cute little building, neatly painted appearing on our right, and we stepped in to try our luck. Hotel Guruprasad was an absolute delight. It was not just the food, not just the tea / coffee, but the neat yet simple way in which the restaurant was maintained. We could see that the restaurant has been around from a very long time, but the way renovations have been made to mix modernity with tradition is worth a salute. The seats were so comfortable and the overall ambience gave such a homely feeling that you would actually feel like sitting there for a long time and genuinely enjoy your meal. But what I loved personally was, that in the inner dining area, the wall is adorned from all sides with photographs of freedom fighters and people who have shaped India's history. I hope to return someday soon to salute Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose who adorns a corner at Hotel Guruprasad!

Yes they are a but congested .. and a little too crowded but there is a reason for it.... They stay true to their food and restaurant..... And ITS SUPER AFFORDABLE ❗ The best vegetarian hotel in town... Literally there is no competition....! If you are a little lazy to cook at home... But you want something homely without much chemical ingredients..... There is no where better than this place.....❣️ Hope it stays this good till the end of time...🤞 Food that fills your heart! ❣️
