Great little restaurant right off the beach, you'll hear the waves break softly while you eat!
The staff is very friendly and the service is impeccable, we didn't have to wait long to get our starters, a great veg hot and sour soup.
The main dishes (kingfisher made in two different ways, fish fry and garlic butter )were recommended by our host and were both very tasteful, fresh and the portions were great, my partner couldn't finish her dish!
Great experience, would definitely recommend if you are in the area.
One of the boys found me on the beach during the day. At first, I was skeptical that this might be a Gee-up. But then I read the reviews.
The food was delicious. I had the fish in a Kerala traditional curry (fish Malabar). Was delicious.

Price is a bargain. If you’re in the neighbourhood definitely worth it.
It was raining and we went for a late lunch/early dinner. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and we were surprised that they offered gin and tonics in this mostly dry state. Delicious seafood platter for two, including two lobsters, tiger prawn, calamari, fish, and shrimp, all for about 80 dollars US. Sali kindly let us out and back to our hotel along a better route than we had taken. Highly recommend.

Would enthusiastically recommend for the very friendly staff, excellent service and top quality food.
Hopefully we will get to see Ali’s Kitchen in the daylight as well.
Note great value for money. Our food was only around 400 rupees per head, higher cost below because we had a few beers!🤠
I was attending a Retreat at the nearby Palm Tree Yoga Centre and had dinner at Ali's on two occasions, plus enjoying a light lunch delivered by them to my daughter and I on the nearby beach. I don't know which to praise more the staff or the food - they were both amazing. The last time I saw prawns that big they were called lobsters!
If you are at Kovalam, Ali’s kitchen is a must to visit for sumptuous seafood. Provide bunch of variety seafoods like Fish, Lobster, Crabs along with delicious Chicken and vegetarian options. Do do visit this amazing new restaurant if you are at Kovalam and take lifetime memories with you 😀
The food here was truly spectacular! The seafood is something very special! The veg options like the bindhi masala were delish! The tandoor is the best I’ve had! The quality/freshness of everything is impeccable. And the staff are fab! Can’t recommend enough. Just wish I could go back more often.
Perfect place to come for lunch/ dinner if you want to get off the beaten track away from the hustle and bustle. Lovely friendly and welcoming staff. Food very good. Beautiful view of the beach. Highly recommend👍🏼
Absolutely amazing food and service! We had the butter lemon garlic grilled fish and a butter chicken and naan for dinner. Will be going back to view the sunset soon too!
I loved this place. The view of the ocean from there is just mind blowing. They had amazing food especially the sea food is just delicious. If in Kovalam must visit this place. Ali and Jacky will help you with the best service. Love this place!
A hidden gem.. had one of the best meals Ive ever had here.. highly recommend.. just walk up the rocky path and you will be surprised how lovely it is!

The food is excellent as is the service. Time was taken to explain the various dishes. The Pomfret was exceptional.
Location of Ali’s Kitchen is fantastic both day and night- with breathtaking views over Samudra beach and the Arabian Sea.
The food and service is equally fantastic with delicious curries, seafood etc. and the tandoor going all the time!!!
We have had a couple of excellent meals here so far and will definitely return!

Unfortunately the tandoori was not available so had Manchurian chicken.. was good but wanted mint chicken from tandoori.. hey ho.

Had an amazing evening at Ali’s Kitchen, the staff made our evening !! Whatever you ask they bring for you. Delicious indian food for a good price. The herbs and spices taste amazing. For sure not the last time we are here :-)
