This is one of famous eatery in Cochi - Idukki Road. This small eatery is well-known among the filim stars . Most of Mollywood actors usually visit here .
Famous for Kappa, fish curry and fish pickles .
I have tried fish pickle and kappa fish curry. My review is as follows
Pickle : Very Good
Kappa : Very good .
Fish curry : good
Tea : Normal
The best part is that it is very easy to locate this hotel as it is on the way itself. Though it's a small hotel, the way they served was very neat and satisfying. The meals gave a homely feel and we ordered fish pickle too which was alos good. The food was overall good and the price was also cheap. Good service too. There is no special parking space available. But there is space on the side of the road to park our vehicles. The atmosphere outside the hotel was also serene and peaceful. I would recommed this hotel for those travellers who pass this way. It is also know as "Pillechante kada".

This is the first time i am visiting this restaurant and the experience was awesome.
Varieties of pickle, fish dishes and meat dishes are available. Must visit restaurants if you are traveling nearby.

Its a typical country side Tea shop ,situated very near to Kulamavu Dam on the way to Idukki ,catering to tourists and casual labours nearby.This place is famous for their fish pickles and as with many others,definitely the pickle did not disappoint me as well . But the Tea I had from them was very mediocre and didnt have that charm one would expect from country side shops like this. Also ,since they are famous among travellers,I suggest them to keep the premises little more clean and tidy to keep the ratings high.
Anyways,my rating is for the taste of the pickle and have not considered any other facts like cleanliness,taste of other dishes etc while placing this review.

Managed by the family, they are better specialized in pickles which they will deliver pan India.
We reached bit late to the lunch session so missed a few things, but the meals and fish curry was really good.

Great food, awesome service. Just stopped here and found that this was a celebrity point. There were many options, fish curry, beef curry, fish pickle, fish fry, fish with coconut. Highly recommended!
The BEST restraunt in high-range. They have a long tradition of making delicious food. All verities of food you will get there, ranging from vegetarian to exotic non vegetarian. Fish pickle is one of their highlight. It's has got huge demand even outside India. Many other shops try to imitate this but no luck.
It's opens until midnight. All the dishes are freshly prepared.
The people who runs this restraunt are very friendly. You feel like home. This will make you visit them again.

Kappa and fish curry is a must try. Parotta and egg curry is good as well. If you are travelling to Idukki, between Moolamattam and Cheruthoni this is the best place to eat. There are no good hotels/restaurants in kulamavu and painavu. If you miss this place then probably your best luck is canteen in collectorate Idukki
