I tried eating in a few vegetarian hotels in Kumbakonam. But this one is by far the best. It is located adjacent to the temple and is always crowded. As a result table service gets delayed. The south indian dishes are authentic and good. Try some of it served hot. Finding a car park is practically not possible and so plan accordingly.

Gauri krishna Hotel is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Kumbakonam town. This hotel is located between Sarangapani and Somesar Temple.Both foods Tiffin and meals are good . The food stall will offer a variety of food items like Dosa, Vada, Pongal, which are famous in Kumbakonam. Not only the variety of food items but the rate they charged is also nominal .But you have to be more careful when reaching out it because of heavy traffic in the road and not enough parking area available.
Darn good food and service, it is non stop rush. The serving staff, deserve great appreciation for the pace with which they serve and still be very cordial. The coriander chutney is out of the world.
Great place for vegetarian food. Usual South Indian restaurant that offers great taste.
Must try: ghee podi dosa, idly.

Initially they gave sambar which tasted very good. They gave podi and ghee which also tested heavenly. Then, we were served with vathal kuzambu, it tasted sour but very good.
Rasam wasn't hot.
There were 2 palya which tasted not good.
Overall it was too good.
Would recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely fantastic food can be found and enjoyed at this fine establishment. It has communal vibes and people will enquire as to where you are from. I have the ghee roast dosa and paratha. I ate a lot and it came to under 150. The place seems hygienic, with good wash basins. It’s my favourite restaurant in Kumbakonam!
Very busy place, but that doesn't discourage the visitors. People constantly stream in, wait for tables to be vacated and happily begin their meals!
Idlis are served piping hot, rava dosa was great and the coffee indeed memorable 👌

Good taste and nice hotel. Must try a hotel in this place. You will love to have South Indian foods. Rates are also low. The quality of food is good. Coffee is also good. You will get parking in the morning, but in the evening it's quite difficult to park near the hotel.

We had lunch with parcel . Taste wise good is awesome.
For parcel they charged 15 Rs extra and all items packed properly in the plastic container without and cover.

Food and quality is good.. But they need to improve their service.. We need to wait for everything and call for everything.. They tested my patience actually.. Must improve their service.. Also car parking is completely unorganized.. No one to take care of it.. I struggled a lot to park my car and take out my car.. Management should concentrate on these areas..
