Tasty and hygienic food. Dosa tasted good and so was ghee rice.
Friendly service. Right from the time we entered, every staff secured with a smile on their face. It's great gesture by the hotel.
Nice and classy ambience. Good lighting and comfy seating
Enough parking available.
A nice hotel on the highway. Ambiance and staff are good but food quality is not matching the price. To be honest, the pricing is too much for the location.
If you are looking for a nice restaurant during the travel, you can definitely stop here for breakfast/lunch/dinner or evening tea.
Paakashala, Kumbashi is a clean and efficient place. Located on the highway, it is easy to access, especially while traveling.
I stopped here for breakfast and had their mangalore buns, idli, vada and banana dosey. The banana dosey was strictly ok. It was a bit dry and sweet. The mangalore buns were spongy and quite tasty. The piping hot, soft idlis hit the right spot with the yummy sambhar. Tea and coffee were excellent.
The washroom was clean. The washroom area is congested because the queue for the ladies washroom has to be formed in the corridor that is also the way to the men's washroom. It is narrow and i found it cumbersome and irritating when we had to constantly shift aside to make way for the men on their way to the toilets. I hope the management takes note if this and makes suitable adjustments to the washroom area. I would have given five stars, but withheld one because of this area.
Overall, I recommend this place, especially if traveling.
If you're around Kumbashi and craving some authentic Indian flavors, you've got to check out Paakashala. I was staying nearby and ended up eating there pretty much every day. It's that good!
First off, everything's super clean and fresh. You can really taste the quality in each dish. I tried a bunch of stuff, but the standouts for me were the set dosas and bisibelebath – absolutely delicious. Also, don't miss out on the banana dosa; it's a cool twist on the usual fare. And their coffee? Just the right kind of strong to get your day going.
The Gudbud dessert deserves a special mention. It's a real treat and is definitely better than the on at Pabbas.
The staff here are friendly and efficient. They're always up for helping out with any requests, which is a big plus. And if you're driving, no worries about parking – there's plenty.
Oh, and if you're looking for a place to stay, the hotel's rooms are clean and comfy. Paakashala makes for a great spot to enjoy a laid-back, tasty, vegetarian meal. Definitely worth a visit!
Food is good. Gets crowded fast, but also clears out fast as it is a stopover on NH66. Quick service.
Located on national highway Kundapur and very near to Kumbhashi( Annegudda temple).
Nice ambiance. Little expensive vegetarian AC restaurant with different vegetarian option. Must try is KOTTE KADUBU.
Though there is no crowd they take too much time to serve the food. Sometimes No cold mineral water available in AC restaurant.
Restaurant is very clean and neat (but restrooms/toilets are not as clean as the Restaurant 😔)
Delicious food, neat and clean place. Would appreciate if the service becomes bit quicker (had to wait long after eating puris, to get the rice of meal) and the cleaning becomes more apt.
Otherwise, great place, we enjoyed our family time with good food.
The restaurant is best in and around the area. If you have been to Adigas in Bengaluru or somewhere else then you will surely remember the taste in this restaurant as the management is the same. The reasonable price continues with great food and service. Its a must visit in case you are visiting home town Kundapura or else even if you are a tourist and want a good restaurant for the days you will be staying in Kundapura then this is also the one you must be considering in you list.
While returning to Udupi, we were hungry and this was the place we chose.
We decided to go for meals. We had a good and simple meal. While they serve the meal with Poori, i preferred to take the rice. (I said to them not to include / serve Poori for me). The menu consisted of a simple curry, kootu, Sambar, Rasam, Curd, Appalam along with a sweet - Payasam. Rasam was the pick of the lot. Piping hot and tasty too.
Very simple and good meal. One of the good Kannada meals that i (we) tasted.
One of the good restaurants in the area and definitely worth visiting when you are around this area or traveling this side
Quick service ,served hot tasty veg foods. Mangalore Bun and set dosa are the famous food of the place. Reasonable price , neat ambience . Spacious parking area with Toilet facilities.
