My favourite place to eat, work and chill in Leh Town. Secluded in a basement with great ambiance, authentic Indian food and free WiFi makes this a suitable place to come with your laptop and settle down for work or just to Netflix and chill. 🙂 Live Screenings and Music Events during the weekends are the highlights of this place.

Really amazing food and the live music sets the perfect vibe. The singer’s (Prashant Edwin) voice was really very amazing and soothing, though the restaurant is in the basement and a little hard to find just ask some locals and they will help you out. Must try Rurha Motton and Butter Chicken Overall the chief treats your stomach and the singer treats your ears.

An aesthetically decorated restaurant. The food is tasty and it is clear that ingredients are fresh. As a vegetarian I enjoyed the special thali which is very filling. The host is a pleasure to talk to and has lots of information about Leh. I wish I found out about The Turnip the day I arrived. Ate 3 lunches and liked them a lot. Must visit!

One of our favorite hangout place when in leh. They have the yummiest food in town. Chicken tandoori, mushroom chilly and biryani is the must have. They also have live music on weekends. The location is awesome, its bang in the main market of LEH mall road. Its a small place but thats what makes it very cozy and lovely. great staff and quick service. If you are in Leh on a weekend and dont know what to do, just go here and chill

This place serves authentic North Indian food. The taste of the food was really nice and reminded me of restaurants in Delhi, which I’ve rarely seen here in Leh. I attended a live singing here and the ambience was so lovely. The band that performed was very nice and I had a great time here on my visit to Leh.

Like Turnip the vegetable, Turnip the restaurant is also below ground level so you’ll have to search for it 😄 The food was delicious, the vibe was laid back and the live music was awesome, special shoutout to @prashantedwin! Pleasant experience overall 👌🏼

A good quality north indian food. We tried tandoori chicken, breads, dals, all very good. Prices reasonable for Leh. Modern design, clean. The only drawback is its basement location.

The food here is amazing!!! I tried chicken roll, delicious with Indian flavour. In main course, the mutton rara is a must try with garlic naan.

Best dinner we had during our stay in Leh. If the meal and the naan and rice would have been served at the same time, I would have even been more happy. Still a very nice and enjoyable experience thanks to the good food and friendly staff!
