On our drive to Pune we we're looking something for seafood... And while searching Google recommended this hotel it's a dhabba only. Ambience wise... Don't expect too much, you will get to sit 🙄

Mahesh Masoli Dhaba is located in Lonavala at the end of the Old Mumbai Pune Highway.
Tried this restaurant on fluke and now it's become one of my favorite restaurants in Lonavala.
The ambiance is very ordinary, non AC, but the food is absolutely mind blogging.
I have tried the Bombil Fry/ Bomay Duck fry here. Very crispy, vwry delicious and value for money.
Also tried the Sukka Chiken here which is a tad bit spicy bit tastes absolutely delicious.
Do try this restaurant when you are in Lonavala.
I have been visiting this restaurant cum dhaba even before it was on Zomato. One of the best and cost effective option in lonvala. Their hospitality is very impressive. A must try for me here is their sukkha chicken and bombil fry. Sukka chicken masala is damm yummy
The ambience is just like a dhaba but to my surprise food was very good. We had ordered crab thali and surmai fry. Crab preparation was good but surmai was much better. Surmai was fresh and very nicely prepared. Must try place for seafood lovers.

They have a variety of options available and they adjust according to your requests. Everything was made fresh, the bombil was crispy, the bhakris were soft and fluffy.
My favourite was the Kolambi masala, bombil and kolambi fry. The service is good, not very great ambience and hygiene but the food outrates everything.

We were driving down from Pune looking for some tasty homely food. Found this restaurant on Google & it was worth the drive.
It's a small place with barely 25 chairs randomly placed. There is also a seperate cabin for drinkers(wonder if it's allowed for all).
We ordered prawn, mutton & bangda Thali along with bombil fry. Each and every thing was fresh and tasty.
The chapati and rice bhakri were just perfectly made.
The menu is short with Thali & fry items. All authentic. They serve the spicy ghati masala instead of the thecha. It's a wow!

If you are in lonavala and still craving homely fish thali, you have found it. Read so many mixed reviews so I thought I should try it myself. We have ordered pomfret fish thali, prawns thali and chicken thali.
Taste great, there is room for ambiance and hygiene to be worked on but overall if you are a foodie you focus on taste which is fresh and good. Service is also very nice. The bhakri in the thali was amazing and the curry and fish was also good.

Amazing and fresh homemade sea food.. we really enjoyed the food a lot .not a fancy restaurant, but the food is really authentic at quite a reasonable price.

Well we were hungry like really hungry and before going to lonavala we watched this on youtube, its on highway. Open till 10pm but for crabs go little bit early as we have reached at 9 in night. Well talking about foods, its tasty really hunger killer. we tried bombil fry(350, 3 fish), pomphret fry(350, 1 fish), prawns koliwada(quantity could be better---serving 2{9 med pieces}) . well at that time mutton and crabs are gone so we've ordered chicken handi and its good as I've tasted better. Well for seafoods go without a blink, I heard mutton is also good there.
If I want to explain it in simple words "Good food for the best price"
We had 3 fish thalis ,2 pomfret and 1 surmai which are around 600Rs each .I'm sure this won't be so easy to find in cities like Bangalore .Thaly had prawns curry, small shrimp sukka as other fish dishes.
The quality and taste is good just that I found it a bit spicy .
Little rice and VERY BIG 2 rice rotti which was very surprising.
