Had this amazing famous Chaat from Shukla Chaat house, church road Lucknow, both aloo chat and matar Chaat were yummy and paani batashas were also quite good.
This place i only liked dahi vada or pani puri,And chaat is not very good only boil potatoes giving.And very costly. And parking area not available.

Matar chat was tasty and different from the regular Alu chaat ,
Alu tikki was below average considering the outlet is famous for it chaat .

Definitely try the Pani puri - very balanced saunth ka pani thats flavourful but not chilli & definitely suits all palates. You might experience a few soggy puris but that’s not regular.
The aloo tikki was super good - crisp and delightful but the overall chaat left a lot to be desired. The dahi could’ve been creamier & colder to support the crisp tikki coming out right out of the pan. A one time try for sure but will keep the hunt for the best on!
There is hardly any space to stand and taking your own car isn’t advisable.
Closing notes - Do visit if you’re in the neighbourhood but nothing like a must-do affair!

Shukla Chaat House is quite popular in Ganj area. We tried their famous matar ki chat, which is something very unique to Lucknow. The matar tikki was quite yummy and so was the chaat prepared with it. Even the alu tikki and other chat items looked yummy. If you are visiting Hazratganj area and are fond of chats, I do recommend this place.
Small place at Hasratganz. But it serves delicious Alu tikki chat. Along with Alu tikki chat, we also had dahi bhale which was also very tasty.

We ate golgappe..which were okayish. The absolutely mind blowing chaat here is matar. Ragda mashed up and roasted with generous dollop of ghee . Actually you gotta be a braveheart to see that much of ghee and eat it guiltless. Ask for alu tiki and Dahi topped with imli chutney...its out of the world.
Try to go by 5ish. After 7 PM they are jam packed and mostly closed by 8.30ish.

Delicious chaat as always. Have been coming here for over 10 years now. However, going here as an adult, I can certainly notice that hygiene standards might not necessarily be strictly abided by.
I went Lucknow for my official work, post getting free from daylong meetings I asked driver to take me to a place where I can get authentic taste of Gol gappe (patashe) and chat. We traveled 28km and reached to Shukla Chat House.
The taste was amazing, I never had so tasty Golgappe in my life. The small shop have 7-8 employees and everyone was so polite and helpful.
I also had tikki and it was crunchy and a real treat to my taste buds.
If you are really looking for an authentic chat in Lucknow, go and try this. You will definitely gonna like the taste.

This is one old chat house of Lucknow. By looks it appears to be actually very old. The utensils used are very old i guess. U have to stand on road and eat chaat. No seating available. Now coming to the taste, the chaat is good. The matar chaat is also very good in taste. Pani ke batashe are very crispy and tasty. Overall a good experience.
This is one of the best places in Lucknow for chaat. Their aloo tikki and paani ke bataashe are heavenly. All the items are very good and it's seriously tough to chose one ! This is the only Chaat stall I prefer going to whenever I crave for chaat. Perfect crisp of the chaat and its taste is heavenly. It is a very small outlet but from the crowd present there one can conclude why it is the favourite place for people in lucknow for a plate of chaat.

love this place and the chaat. i personally love their matar chaat, it is crispy, spicy and refreshing and something different from the regular aloo, dahi, chutney chaat, which is pretty good too. if you're in lucknow, the matar chaat from shukla chaat house is a must.
Lucknow is not all about non-veg food, you can find chaat bhandar in every alley of it, & then you
find Shukla Chaat bhandar in Hazratganj.
When you visit them, do try their pani batashe & crispy aloo tikki. Pani batashe will be slightly spicy, but it all worth it.
When at Hazratganj, this is the second best place to have gol gappas and aloo tikkis. The shop is very old and small, still you'll have to queue up for your number. The tastes are flavoursome.

Their Aloo Tikki Chat is what makes me visit them everytime I am in town. Just that you have to tell them to squeeze less lemon if you don't want that sour taste. The Tikki is properly toasted and is super crispy. Paani Puri is good although if you are a hygiene freak, you would refrain because they do not wear gloves while filling the Puris with Paani.
There is no seating arrangement here and because of the Metro construction work going on, the place is very dusty.

Swear I have never had this version of golgappe before in my life. I can never forget the taste of yummy Pani Batasha aka Pani Puri. It just magically melts inside your mouth. Dont miss visiting this golgappe wale bhaiya whenever you are in Lucknow.

Paani they provide for golgappey is outstanding and I really mean it and the aloo tikki is just perfect,crunchy from the outside and soft from outside.
The golgappey are a little bit costly ₹15 for 5 pieces and ₹40 for aloo tikki but the quality they provide is excellent so it's worth it !

Chaat is pretty famous in lucknow, and Shukla Chaat was a name that suggested to us by a lot of people. We tried the pani batashe(pani puri), the aloo tikki chaat and the papdi chaat. The pani puri was'nt that great and I have certainly had better pani puri. The aloo tikki chaat was pretty good, but the papdi chaat was the best.

This chaat house the best aloo tikki chaat I've ever had in my life.. more than anything available here this chaat with dahi and other ingredients is the best and most tasty chaat .. this one of the many places one should visit while in Lucknow. Although there is no parking spot dedicated to this shop.. its better to take uber or rickshaw to reach here but all the hard work pays while having the chaat. If you have your car and want to venture, there is a multi level parking area nearby, park your car there and walk down some 300 to 400 mtrs and reach this place.. a must have chaat.. yummy

Had so many chaats of different places of LKO, but this is one of the best. Rate is pretty reasonable, 50 for Tikki Chaat and Matar Chaat. Portion is also reasonable, not filling up the plate, unlike other places.

Nice place you can visit At least once. I tried here Aloo Chaat which costs ₹50, it tastes great. I personally loved it, even i saw some dry fruits in the chaat which makes it worth of ₹50. The shop owner said he makes chaat in Desi Ghee that makes the food rich & high quality. Must visit place for everyone. Every lucknowites know this place very well. Visit al least once on my recommendation & you will not be disappointed.
