Great family restaurant... Royal ambience.. peaceful place to hangout... I liked their style of serving welcome drinks for their guest. Quality of food is awesome. Staff are also very friendly.
For a Sunday dinner with family, this place was chosen. Indus has been on my bookmark list for a long time. This Punjabi restro is very easy to find as it is situated before Nishatganj flyover, on the corner of Badshahnagar crossing.
The ambiance is really nice. Also gives you a Punjabi feel. We were served Masala Soda as a Welcome Drink. We ordered Amritsari Murg Tikka, Dhaba Da Murg along with Tandoori Roti & Pudina Paratha, Steamed Rice and Chhaas.
Amritsari Murg Tikka was good & very tasty. A must have here! Dhaba Da Murg was recommended (Chef's Special) here. Another great dish ! It was less spicy and tasted very well. Tandoori Roti & Pudina Paratha were good along the dish.
Chhaas was an amazing drink along with the food we ordered.
The service is pretty quick here! 👍
Conclusion-
Food: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Total Experience: 4/5
A great place to have some good Punjabi food & to have a nice family dinner.
Great taste!!!Beautiful ambience!!! Definitely worth a visit if you like punjabi cuisine. Especially recommended is the Makai ka Shorba and tawe da kukkad.
Firstly Great choice of interiors as you enter,
Secondly hospital and presentation was good,
An excellent selection on starters
As what all we ordered was above the mark.
Found the main course a bit annoying but over all a good place for the night.
I must say the best restaurant in nishatganj aliganj and mahanagar area. Great ambience with ample parking size. Now comes the food,
We had tandoori chicken which was well cooked and mutton stew. Stew was little sweet due to lots of onions in it but was tasty. Overall a good experience of food and ambience.
Nice restaurant with good interiors. Love the food and then the scheme with drinks make it feel like cherry on the cake. Priced decent..not very expensive
Yes! Authentic Punjabi restaurant. Nice interiors, good ambience and decent crowd. The staff are experienced and friendly. We had Sarson ka saag and makki ki roti along with lassi etc. Taste was really good and enjoyed our dinner. However, I felt the quantity (or size of plate) is lesser when comparison to the price. Parking would be a problem though they have little space inside the compound. Since restaurant is located just behind Badshanagar bus stop searching for the entrance gate is sometimes difficult. Otherwise this place is ok. Try it once, but remember don't ask for Chinese or South Indian dishes here.
Extremely good restaurant, clean hygienic food. Only Punjabi cuisine somewhat limits the menu. They do excellent kadhahi paneer and dal makhni, very good chicken tikka. Good and friendly restaurant serving authentic food.
Greeat food perfect ambience
Just loved it. Sadly their song collection comprises only punjabi songs. No songs for any special occassions
Indus is a non regular restaurant offering veg and non veg meals under thematic ambience. Its ambience and culinary inclination towards Indus valley civilization would win over you instantly. Food is luscious with good services. In my case they offered complimentary shots of jaljeera soda at start. Pricing is worthy and Rs 700-800 should be sufficient for two exclusive of taxes. The Place is worth a visit.

The food is scrumptious they are like tandoor kings veg sabj platter and kababs were well smooked they melted in mouth interior is different water bottles are attractive their hospitality is up to the mark as i am vegetarian cant say much about non veg but expressions of my co companions was like ther were in heaven of rosted chiken 🍗had a grate tummy filling experience
Spectacular food. That's all I can say. The veg tandoori platter is mind blowing. It will make people who do not even look at vegetables, like me, not only eat them, but love them! The ambience is warm and nice, with awadhi architecture theme. Must, absolutely should try the place, for people who love mughlai. Not a 5 star rating, cause of the lag in service.
Service is prompt with assured quality of authentic Punjabi food. A delightful treat for food lovers.... If one is fond of themed restaurant then the ambience will surely mesmerize them.
How about taking your parents out for a dinner and the place turns out to be a complete package itself!?
I strongly recommend Indus to all those who wish to dine with the exquisite taste of frontier food amidst a well done ambience and warm service.
I visited on a weekday, had opted for a vegetarian dinner, and it was a complete bliss. However, the restaurant can do better for their desserts offered. The kheer served had very thick consistency and parboiled rice.
Service is swift and prompt.
My recommendation: Dahi Ke seekh, Makai malai and Bo Kulcha.
Ambience of the place is really nice. Service was decent so was the food. Only disappointing thing was that chicken was a bit sweet. I have visited this place twice and both the times I had the same issue.
Food and service are top notch. The tandoori variety is a must with the speciality being in the stuffed kulchas and tandoori chicken. Reasonable pricing and tasty food; perfect place for a Sunday/Saturday lunch
Ambience - Great
Main Course Dishes - Good
Service - Good
Cost Of Breads - Too Damn High with Not so Appriciable Quality.
Odrwise The Venue is Good for Family Outing.

+3.5
Ambiance is decent...taste is above average...
However...the quanity they provide for the money they take is not appreciable at all...
They serve breads at such a high cost...and that too of poor quality...
We ordered both veg and non veg starters as well as main course...but it wasn't satisfactory at all..specially considering the fact they claim to bring the taste of Punjab in Lucknow...
Not so authentic as it's tag line claims.. We ordered tandoori roti and two diff chicken dish. Tandoori rotis were too hard to chew . "dhabe di kukkad " dish was good compared to chicken kaali mirch which we ordered. Great ambience , service was good .
This new Punjabi restaurant in d city is really good...its location is awesume...interior n music is good..d food ws spicy...n served hot..d service ws quick n d staff ws decent...a great place fr a punjabi food lover..
INDUS the moment you enter it welcomes you with colorful interior and colourful lights. Though it was very crowded, it shows that people like visiting INDUS. Food was good & one must try it's starters & sweet dishes. Overall a good place to visit. ? thanks Indus. Thank you Indus for Making my Click as your Cover Page.
Great place....had a good food. Non veg is great and paneer and dal are also good. Nice ambience and good service. Good location of restaurant with enough parking space.
Good atmosphere there, service too. Food was awesome, specially Lahori Kadhayi Paneer, etc. Enjoyed here, nice place for b'day party also...
Really a good place to visit...food was fantastic!
Good ambience n good hospitality.
Wud definitely look forward to this when it's time to get some real country food.
Khoob Vadiya si.!!
Pleasant atmosphere there, the food was hot and good. Specially the Lahori Kadhayi Paneer, Peshawari Naan, Amritsari Aloo Pyaz Kulcha was superub.
Visited "Indus" a few days back..and twas a good thing we did!!
It's very rarely that one is pleasantly surprised by a Mid/Upper tier restaurant in Good Ol' Lko.
It was only a flying visit (as we were getting late for a late night show of Baahubali, which, btw, also turned out to be a pleasant surprise), so we could sample only two of the items on the menu. Here's what I thought about the offerings:
1. Accessability: Situated right on a corner at Badshah Nagar Crossing. Plus, they've got valet parking, which is a good thing.
2. Ambiance : Decent...at par with / slightly better than most of the other similar places in the town. The seating could be tad more comfortable. And when will restaurants learn not to put a two seater table in a passage next to the door???
3. FOOD: We ordered two items - Chicken tikka (of some sort), and , on the waiter's recommendation- Mutton Beliram (which is a speciality of the house). The Tikka was better than any other I have had in the city...nicely marinated with spices, and juicy to the core. The winner, however, was the Mutton Beliram...with a dark and very individual gravy base, which went exceptionally well with whole wheat tandoori roti.
The best part is.......you get to wash all the spices down with a decent selection of alcohol (In my case- Corona). A good Indian restaurant which serves decent booze....this was something lacking in the vicinity...
Cons:
1. A tad expensive for our city.... I can't think of many places in the city where a dinner for two with 2 pints of beer will set one back by 2.5K. However, even at this price...the occupancy seemed to be good..
2. The service was only sporadically good. One of the waiters (his name eludes me), was especially good..while a few others didn't have much clue as to what they were selling. However, that could be put down to inexperience (The place opened for business only a short while back).
3. The seating was not very comfortable.
Bottomline:
Surely a place worth visiting...Only hope that they don't follow the age old Lucknowi practice of ruining their taste as the name becomes popular!!!
4 stars for now.....
Just punjabi food sounds boring but each item we ordered was very tasty and had an X factor...including the white choolay.....a must. Go place
I was traveling with my husband, sister-in-law and my son. After a whole day of traveling around, we were hungry and thirsty. On arrival, we were welcomed by a shot of delicious Jal-jeera, which had tasted heaven. We ordered Sarson da Saag, Lahori Kadhai Paneer, Imli Makai Saag, Dal Tadka Amritsari, Tandoori Roti, Lachha Paratha, Amritsari Aloo Pyaaz Kulcha, Butter Naan, Kheer, Boondi Gulab Jamun Pie and 4 glasses of Pepsi. As we were hungry, we requested to serve the foods as soon as possible. The foods had started arriving within 15 minutes and it was more than sufficient for all of us.
Ambience is good and is locates just at Badshah Nagar chauraha.Food quality and quantity is good. You can get drink options tok here. However they do not have any corporate discounts.Overall this is nice food outlet for foodies.
Great place for a quiet North Indian cuisine lunch. The service is unobtrusive but attentive and prompt. The dishes are prepared nicely and taste almost perfect. The salt was on the higher side in the Pindi Chole, but this is my personal opinion. The management can think about revamping the ambience which has remained the same for many years. Overall a very nice and satisfying experience.
Anyone who wants to have mouth watering spicy Punjabi cuisine at an upmarket place in Lucknow should try this place. The food is awesome. Trust me I've lived in Delhi... This place serves what it says....The staff is courteous and polite. I'd love to go back again n again...👍
I feel this place has a rajasthani and punjabi dhaba vibe to it. The ambience here is wonderful and the service is great! The staff is quite courteous and the food is undoubtedly fantastic! If you would like the richness of rajasthani food and the casual style of a dhaba, I recommend this place highly! Happy eating session.
Ambience...hospitality...taste is really good.... i basically loved the welcome drink which is served to the guest .....yes the portions served are small for the price which is being charged....
Nice ambiance good food and great hospitality overall experience was satisfying. Will definitely go there again.
