Paneer dosa was Good but the Vada was upto to mark bcz I ate dahi vada from other places in lucknow in which royal cafe has best delicious dahi Vadas.
GPO ke Dahi Bade has been Lucknow's favorite since years. It hasn't lost it taste and popularity even after moving to a permanent location nearby on the other side of the road. They offer a lot of other items apart from Dahi Bade but their Dahi Bade are unbeatable. Go for it.

This place is opposite GPO. It doesn't have a seating area so you'll just have to stand and eat.
There's space for two wheeler parking but no space for 4 wheelers.
The dahi vada is really amazing. The vada is soft and the dahi is sweet and ravishing. The outer layer of the samosa is very crispy and the aloo filling is good. It is a bit spicy though. The idli sambhar is not very good so I'll say don't take sambhar dishes.
It's a bit overpriced as a single samosa is for 10, dahi vada for 35 and idli sambhar for 30

Their dahi bada are good, you would love it if you love the sweetish curd version, loved samosa dahi, it was perfect combination of sweet & spicy, masala topped over was lovely. Moong daal chilla was a complete surprise, it was made freshly right in front of us, stuffed with some cottage cheese.

The best Dahi Bade in town are from this small little setup. I have been savouring the flavours since 15+ years now and mind you they still taste the very same.
I'm holding back 1 point for the ambience and lack of seating facility. As far as dahi baras are concerned, this place will not disappoint you. taste is lip smacking. They are bit costly but taste is worth burning hole in pocket. They also offer luscious Gulab jamuns which are basically in the shape of chum-Chum.
I don't regard other aspects about of a food joint as long as the food served impresses you.
YOu can take away dahi baras if you want to.

I just loved their dahi bades.I have been having their dahi bades since childhood and they are again one of the best in taste.If you are in Lucknow , make sure to have them.
I am myself not a great fan of Dahi vadas, but this place had most amazing dahi-vada. The taste of the curd itself was so good. Although priced little high at Rs.30 per piece, but still worth it.The only issue is the lack of sitting place at the shop, which I think has not been the focus of the owner.
It's a very small shop used to give dahi vadas only but now diversified into samosas n dosa. There location do change frequently due to encroachment drives. Some times they move to nearby places and sometimes on automobile. The quality of product is good. Try there signature dish dahi vadas they are good and rest on your wish.

Ambience : It looked to me as a Dairy come Snack Shop (Samosa & Dahi Vada) with couple of Table and Chairs inside that Small Shop. It's not a Place to judge over Ambience .

Heavenly!! Yes ..thats the word that comes to my mind when i think of GPO ke dahi bade. I have grown up eating these dahi badas...and even after all these years, they are still as yummilicious as ever. The dahi badas are sold in a van near GPO after 3 PM. The dahi badas are so soft that they simply melt in your mouth. The dahi is sweet, creamy, has amazing consistency and is served chilled. The serving is very generous.

Outstanding. This is a legendary destination for dahi-bada. Decades old they serve succulent dahi-bada's soaked in sweet dahi. It amazing that their consistency has not changed a bit over the years. Even today they taste just as they did when I must have first had it almost decades back.
I have came here after many years. Quality and taste is same the Bhallas are soft and sweet no need to add sweet chutny. For Rs 60 /- a plate its a good evening snack. Also all can try samosa . That is also very tasty. Overall best place to have snacks.

A really nice place and very yummy Dahi Bade. Sant Ram Gupta Ji, has been selling this very yummy Dahi Bhalle/Dahi Bade for ages now. Now selling in a Van, he starts selling from 3 PM. The Dahi Bade are very delicious and the quantity is very generous. The Dahi is very thick, creamy and sweet unlike most of the places where it tastes sour and extra sweet. He also serves Chille. The place is adjacent to GPO, in front of Rovers. A must have in Lucknow.

They also make Samosa's and yummy Lassi. but i prefer you must try out their Dahi Bade's they are so so delicious and mouth watering.

I went to this place with my father at the age of 10 or 12 and from then only, the never fading taste of that 'Dahi Bada' is there.. In short, if you want to taste the best Dahi Badas of your life, come to this place ! They serve it by putting super chilled Dahi over chilled Bada with Tangy Masala and Sonth on top of all ! You wont be able to have anything after this as they fill up your stomach to the full. Giving it 4.5 stars- cutting down half a mark as there is no proper seating arrangement..
