This place is something else! The ambiance is refreshingly nice and positive. The food, though available in limited options, is very good and feels homely. We had Banana Chocolate Milk-Shake, Davidoff Latte, French Fries & good old Maggi and found it awesome. If you're looking for a place to chill and unwind, this is the place to be. I happened to come across this tiny creative den while walking around this area looking for a bite after a haircut. Although this is a tried and tested concept the place was different because of the aura of peace while inside it. Tiny corners for those who want a more private experience and larger spaces for a noisy gathering of friends. Aside from the ambience, the food here was good too. The lychee drink that we had was light and refreshing. The spring rolls were good although it was more on the oily side. I wish they had chicken spring rolls though.
All in all a good place for people to hang out. And it also doesn't hurt that the owners/caretakers are cute and helpful friendly people.

I have been to Lucknow Diaries one evening and I was amazed at the creativity and ambience of the Cafe. Based on an empty canvas whose creativity depends on the customers, the space is like a rainbow filled with thoughts written on colorful sticky notes and a shelf adorned with old books ranging from classic novels to contemporary writing.
Lucknow Diaries is a cozy place which is apt for couples, school kids and college students as well. There are cozy corners (also with floor seating) where you can share a private conversation or read a book if you don't want to be a part of the group. The music playlist is also refreshing and can be changed according to one's liking.
Coming to the food, we had ordered for a Veg Hot Dog, Oreo Shake and Mojito. The Oreo Shake was undoubtedly superb. The filling in the Hot Dog could have been a little fresher (or softer) but it was tasty and served well with mustard sauce. The Mojito could have been more minty.
Pricing could have been a tad bit less, especially because such an ambience is targeted towards the youth. It's also great that Paytm is included as a mode of payment. I feel that this is a great achievement and there is a lot of scope for improvement as well as introduction of more items to the menu. Good Luck!

I really liked this place because f its concept and the lady who is managing it all alone when I visited. There is lot to look for on those colorful stickons and basically that playful and family environment make it more pleasant. I had Pasta and Mojito here and it's pretty fine.
If you are expecting something glamorous and professional cafe atmosphere then may be this is not the right place for you but if just want to chill with friends who are as normal as you, you will definitely have a great time.

I like such places with boho-chic style. The food is well varied. We tried the choco shake, choco banana shake n Oreo shakes. For starters we ordered pasta n chips. The ambience is soothing and it really helps to unwind on a weekend. I would recommend for hanging out with your gang.

A brilliant concept cafe in lucknow. Well, actually its more of a book readers club than cafe. Groups come here and discuss on books for hours. They provide a small menu of coffee and starters. The ambiance of this place is really unique. The have sticky notes pasted all over the place with messages written from people visiting the place (notes even on the ceiling).

A very small cozy hideout in the midst of a well known colony , though it took me 2 3 runs across the joppling road to find the place , the place seemed like a small window next to pat A cake . at first look it might seem to be a takeaway place but as you go near , you realize the window like structure is a door which follows a small staircase . Be carefull of the push and pull sign if you dont want to embarass yourself .
The cafe is a small room creatively turned into a cafe , if you are colorblind you might get a bit dazzled with the walls with sticky notes . small well lit room with good AC , self service window and the menu is economical .

We had some difficulty finding this place, so here is a tip - it is right next to the Pat-a-cake bakery; there is a flight of stairs next to the bakery leading down to this small cosy cafe. The entrance is not too welcoming, but a quick peek in through the door lets you know there is a place with nice interiors, flashy though they may be, waiting for you.
This basement cafe is "bright" yet soothing to the eye; it can seat a maximum of twenty people and has very comfortable sofas to sit on. Stick ons adorn this place and it was fun reading them. One eye catching feature was the menu written on a black board using coloured chalks. There were also a few board games and other sources of entertainment, so it is a good hangout spot if you go in groups of six or seven. Quite naturally, the entire crowd here was of youngsters. There was one problem though and that was of ventilation, we felt strangely suffocated. They also have Hookah, but I guess they do not serve Hookah on Saturdays. Somewhat a letdown.
Since the style of service is self service, there is not much to say about it, but the host did seem very eager to serve us and the delivery was also quick. Absolutely nothing to complain here.
Coming on over to the food, we only had beverages and as good as one was, the other seemed equally dismal. But it definitely was easy on the pocket and overall, a verdict of not bad could be given for the food, the pros being quick delivery and affordability and the cons being the dismal taste of one beverage.
So, go on, visit this place, post a review here and a stick on there.

This place stands up well upon the signboard outisde which says "YOU ARE ABOUT TO ENTER THE FINEST LIFE CAFE" .. The ambience is really splendid and full of colours ,life and energy.... there's only provision of self service ... pocket friendly menu . We ordered white sauce pasta which was really delicious and creamy.. though the noodles were tasteless...
The davidoff latte was a regular cold coffee .. but banana choco shake was yumm..

It is a very new concept in Lucknow. The experimental design gives a fresh breath to the café. Really worth a visit. On the part of food, try the dimsums, nachos, fruit crushes, and coffee. Pasta was really thumbs down when I tried. It's a place I would like to visit again, at least just to soak in the cafe's new concept. :)
I'm writing this review sitting inside LDC, as we call it, having the most amazing nachos and hot chocolate together.
Its not too big but It's a lovely place, with pretty colorful ambiance which makes up for the small size. It feels so cozy that it's almost a second home now.
The food is quick and good, hukkah is great and the drinks and exclusively good!
You can play board games while waiting for the food or just read the amazing reviews written all over the place on post-it notes.
A down to earth guy as the owner is the cherry on the cake!

I'll start by apologizing to Anshul first. Had visited back in early May, but just couldn't find the time to review the place.
Located at sub-ground level next to Pat-A-Cake (you can take a turn from the HT House building on Ashok Marg), the place is a gem. If I remember correctly, at the time I had visited, the place had very recently opened. Hence, the diary was just getting started, and I was able to add my 50 cents worth near one of the bookshelves.
The food menu was smaller than it is today and drinks were limited. But all preparations were honest. Sometimes honesty is more important than the ingredient.
Anyway, food is just a side story to the main theme: experience. Its sub-level location and small size would make you feel cozy in most seasons. Take a book and read. Or, if visiting with your better half, if you find the place to yourself, have the conversation you've never had in months. Salt it with a few laughs and pepper it with food and beverages. You won't be disappointed.

A quaint little place in an upmarket location, Lucknow Diaries is something the owners have created with their heart and soul.
Madan Mohan Malviya marg is home to many high-rise apartments and government offices. What this area lacked was a nice place to hangout. Lucknow Diaries fills that void beautifully. It's located in a basement just beside Pat-A-Cake bakery.
It's a pretty small place with a seating capacity of around 16 people. I liked how the owners have managed to utilise the limited space available. There are sticky notes all over the place (spot mine; photo attached lol). It's fun to read all the funny messages people have written on them.
The seats are good. The centre portion with proper sofa like chairs are more comfortable than the rest of the bench type seats. There are board games like chess and ludo to help you memorize your childhood days. There are books to spend that lazy day alone when none of your friends are available at the right time.
The music is good. And so is the sound from the speakers.
There is no menu system on the table. Walk up to the counter and you'll spot the small menu in your line-of-sight. We had two different cold teas and they were outstanding! Just loved the flavor and the presentation. Tried the Red Pasta too and it was very good. It's presented with a handful of crispy potato chips. Nice.
The best part is, the prices are very low. If you take the nice taste of food into account, it's a complete bang for your buck! And Hukkah lovers, you are welcome here!
The owner is a cool guy who is very sweet and courteous.
To sum it up, I was not let down by all the positive reviews I read on Zomato. A nice place to chill out without burning a hole in your pockets!

Went to check out this place after reading reviews on zomato and it did not disappoint.. Very happy to see someone coming up with something new in lucknow. Small as it may be but this place is definitely a new variety to the options in this city. Colourful interiors, walls covered with posteds - this place instantly catches your attention. Wall painting of a guitar player, in particular, is beautiful.
Good place to have some time reading and drinking coffee. The service is the best part about this place. Much needed cafe in lucknow.

Visited this cafe with a few friends today , its small and cozy but I like they way its been made was looking for a good cafe and here we have it in Lucknow. We ordered oreo shake , cold coffee , nachos with cheese and salsa and veg momos ! Momos were okay ! But nachos was really nice !

I don't live in Lucknow anymore but my best friend had heard about this place remotely, and he took me there.It took us a while to remember it's name and find it, so we did make a good effort to reach here, and it all paid off.Anshul is not your another cafe owner, but overall an amazing person to interact with, and the whole cafe speaks of his personality in volume.We had drinks which were quite good and affordable, and more than that the overall ambience and feeling that the place gives you is just amazing.Glad to have a place like this in Lucknow

This place seems good, decorations are appreciable, but it's too small. Hardly 12 or 13 ppls can be there at a time. And it's in interior too. I found quite hard to search this place. But anyway it was a good experience . You can throw your small b'day parties here and it's not that much expensive.
Nice small cafe which is full of warmth and love. They serve lovely kebab sandwiches n coffee. The food here is prepared n cooked by aunty herself and has a self service.
