We were advised to try out Mughal's Dastarkhwan over Tunde Kebabi. We are glad we did. The restaurant had a large waiting time, which indicated to us that it was, indeed, popular.
They have a proper waiting area outside, where the smell of the tandoori dishes wafts in, & gives a boost to your appetite. Finally, when we were seated inside, we had Dhaniya Roti, Galawat Kebab, Mutton Rogan Josh, Plain Rice, Shahi Tukda, & Ulte Tawe Ka Paratha.
The Dhaniya Roti (chapati with coriander filling) was a first for us. The Galwat Kebab was, truly, melt-in-the-mouth. The service was quick. It is a family-friendly place. We cannot wait to go back

It is one of my favorite place which serves authentic mughlai and awadhi cuisines at the nominal prices. The food is really really very yummy so I recommend you all if you are a non veg lover and wanna eat some mughlai cuisines. Hop in to this place once and I guarantee you will not regret. The ambience of this place is up to the mark as this is mughlai theme based.The service was very good. So overall experience was very nice.

After going through numerous Lucknowi dastarkhawn , finally found the elusive awadhi taste as this gem of a place. The food is just great and hope it remains the same.. we ordered murg lahori, keema kaleji, chicken istew and murg biryani and all were well made. The istew and keema kaleji were especially great. Shahi Tukda was also awesome. The portions were just right. They have a small seating so be prepared to wait
A strongly Recommend Restaurant for the non veg Lovers. Chicken masala and chicken Kali Mirch is a very famous dish here . Go in night times when you are in mood for eating heavy . Best place in Gomti Nagar for non veg so far . Way more to go :) love Ashish
Mouth watering food and the butter chicken was too tasty. The kabab and paratha were also good and the mutton biryani was tasty though.

Another awesome food joint for Nawabi food. The mitron biriyani is really tasty here, while the shahi tukda also deserves a sampling. Go early and have an empty stomach to fill up!

Ordered Kali Mirch Chicken, kababs, biryani (both mutton and chicken) and roomali roti from here. Food tastes awesome. I especially like the kababs since they (i) aren't too spicy unlike 99% other famous kabab places and (ii) there wasn't any 'heek(हीक)' which is usually the problem with most other kabab places. Kali mirch chicken and biryanis were good too. I'll recommended this place for anyone who wants to taste authentic Lucknowi nonveg food !
Best place to visit... Awesome biryani... The must try items are :chicken masala, kebab, biryani and roasted chicken.... Great ambiance... The waiters are generous.. And they serve you in less than ten minutes..... Keep up the good work!!!!
Finally after waiting for so many months I went to this renowned restaurant. And the truth is that it was worth the wait. We ordered the very famous chicken masala, mutton stew, galawati kebabs, mutton biryani and rumali roti. The food was worth every penny spent. Overall, it was a very nice experience being there.

I am a fan of good Galawati kababs and parathas. And this was a delicacy. Since I had these kababs in lunch at Tunday Kababi in Aminabad, I couldn't not compare and the ones in Dastarkhwan could be smoother and softer.
The Boti Kabab was in gravy. Tried it for the first time.
Mutton Rogan Josh was served in an orange gravy with soft mutton pieces. Biryani was as usual, good.
Shahi tukra was a good ending to our meal.

Being a Lucknow guy,i am quite used to having biryani of different places.
And dastarkhwan is one of the oldest and largest mughlai cuisines food giant.
This place offers one of the finest "Mutton Dum Biryani" in the town.
The quality and quantity are both remarkable and its price is quite reasonable as well.
The only issue i have is that it quite often forgets to deliver raita along with Biryani for home delivery.
Other than that it is spot on in satisfying its customers and maintaining its brand value.

Had a celebration dinner today. Afghan Chicken, Chilly Chicken and Fried Fish for starters. Butter Chicken, Masala Chicken and Boti Kabab with a variety of nans for the main course. Every thing was just delicious. Especially Butter Chicken

Really good food - the mughlai paratha, the galawati kebab and the mutton korma. But absolute disregard for customer service. They don't have half the things listed on the menu, the waiters are indifferent and the management more so. We felt this was because we had gone in during rush time. But it was the case even when we went in the afternoon, with not many inside. And to top it off, they don't even have a PoS machine. I mean, I understand if it is a small restaurant. But they sell their dishes at a premium, yet this condition.
I had recently gone to The Dastarkhwan. I had ordered chicken masala with mughali Parantha. As usual, the chicken masala was one of the best you get in Lucknow and the Parantha was nice and crisp. The galawat kabab was fine. The chicken Biriyani was not upto the mark. And it also had the tiniest chicken leg I have ever seen.

It is a fully air conditioned restaurant with comfortable seating and some pretty wall hangings of Lucknow’s a architecture. The service is quick and the staff is polite. They serve the best chicken masala in Lucknow. If you happen to be there,do give it a try and the mutton biryani was okayish in taste but the quantity is good. It’s a good restaurant to visit with family and friends.

The best biryani I have ever had. And since it’s my favourite food it means a lot. Full of flavor... succulent mutton pieces. Hardly any grease. Superb quality of basmati rice used. Each grain was cooked to perfection.... flaky and light. Can’t wait to eat this again tomorrow.

Big fan of dastarkhwan since 2000, there were only two branches one behind Tulsi theatre and another one near Manoj pandey chauraha , I used to go at gomtinagar branch , it's underrated kind of restaurant like no one talk about it when comes lucknow , if you want to eat real mughlai Paratha that ll melt in your mouth then go dastarkhwan gomti nagar , if you want to taste something good in kebabs go and eat galawati kebab of dastarkhwan , they made best biryani go and eat u ll never regret , signature dish is chiken masala , crushed chiken with some masala and cooked on tawa , they serve top notch quality so go there , at Tulsi theatre branch you ve to wait for seat if you go on weekends but it's worth to wait , they are serving good food from many years but people only talk about tundey aminabad who serve kachha Paratha but no body complain , anyways I highly recommend this place for real mughlai taste . Go for it

We went for family lunch here on Sunday. Shop opens around 1pm. We ordered:
Mughlai Paratha, chicken masala, paneer mughlai, Garlic naan, Laccha Paratha, Galawati kabab and Shahi tukda
1) 1st lot of rotis (Naan, Laccha Paratha) were not cooked fully and partly raw. We had to tell the waiter to cook the rotis properly after which subsequent lot was fine
2) Paneer Mughlai, Chicken masala were very good and definitely worth trying. Galawati kabab was fair in taste.
3) Shahi tukda was bad and stale.
4) Ample parking space
We are visiting n8 for dining purposes this time it is fully packed There is no sheeting available here but after waiting 10mins we are sitting at the dining table. In this place the waiters behaviours are so good and suggest the most famous item and quantity of the foods are shearing what numbers of people, they have a very good suggestion. After ordering food we waited 15 minutes at the table then the foods were available. In this place the food quality is very good, you are eating one time here you are reminded of the food test.
Person sitting on main counter needs to respect individual's choice. I asked if Non Veg is Halal or not, he said Hala but also gave me unnecessary gyan which was not required...
